If you’re traveling with a dog, you have to stop at the Prospector in Ely. It’s the dog friendliest place. We’ve ever stayed. The staff were wonderful. The places are very clean recommended highly

My room was beautiful. My daughter stayed in another room and it was just as pretty. The whole hotel is high class and I’m from Las Vegas. I went to Margaritas in the casino for dinner and LOVED it. I would l say a negative if I found one but I could not find one negative thing to say….. I will be back, I will make sure I stay here when I am in Ely.

When we arrived, their internet was down, but they didn't hesitate on getting us into a room. They took the brunt of the issue and said, \"We'll worry about the details in the morning.\" Everything was clean and comfortable. The lighting in the room was a but dim for working, but fir a simple night's rest, it was fine.

The staff was nice. I was thoroughly disappointed that the pool was closed as I come to Ely to have a sleepover at there and take my Grandkids swimming. I didn't even think to ask... will be staying elsewhere next time.

Stayed here on a road trip to Great Basin NP. Our room was spacious and clean with a confortsble bed. Nice toiletry items, including toothbrush and toothpaste! The room included 2 bottles of decent wine for purchase (although we didn’t purchase). At checkin we were each given a coupon for 1 glass of complimentary beer or wine from the casino bar… a nice perk! The casino also had a decent Mexican and steak restaurant. Would stay here again!

It was soft and lumpy and clearly should have been replaced long ago. The motel advertised a pool and hot tub, the latter which we were looking forward to on the cold night we arrived. Both inside amenities were closed without explanation.

Rooms are spacious and clean Beds are comfortable. Decor is dated with mining equipment kitsch, but the hotel’s name is Prospector, so to be expected. Rooms are non smoking which is good since there is enough smoke to go around in the casino. Staff is very friendly. Hotel is very pet friendly.

We loved our short one night stay here in Ely, Nevada. Great staff, check in was fast and easy, room was clean with comfy beds, pillows and hot water with great pressure for the shower. Restaurant was good and all staff were friendly and helpful. The hot tub and pool were great for our relaxing evening and gave the 4 year old some play time after a long day in the car.

From beginning to end, we had a fantastic stay and experience!! We received complimentary drinks to grab at the lounge, great welcoming service from all employees, and great food at their restaurant. The room, itself, was clean and comfortable. It had everything we would need. We are so happy with our stay that we are planning a couple future trips around the area now JUST so we can stay at this establishment again! Super pet friendly and honestly, family friendly, too. My four year old enjoyed the pool very much. He said it was so colorful and fun!! Can’t wait to come back.

I stayed in a pet-friendly room, and as soon as I walked in, I wanted to leave immediately because of the strong smell. It was quite unpleasant and very difficult to tolerate. I have stayed in other hotels’ pet rooms before, but none of them had this level of odor.
In addition, the room felt quite old and worn, which added to the overall discomfort. I would not choose to stay here again.
The parking lot was also very full, and I noticed that some cars from the neighboring hotel appeared to be parked in this lot as well.

This was a solid stay - I would give it a '4' but the bed had a big depression across the middle, as though it had been bent in half and left like that for a long time. I don't have back problems but it was sore the next day. With that said, front staff were very nice, and the Mexican restaurant was unexpectedly delicious!
Two more things, when I entered the room, the trash can that would sit under the vanity was on the counter next to the sink, ick. And the bathroom trash can was sitting on the edge of the bathroom with a plunger in it, double ick. And the toilet had a ring around it.
