This property was just okay. Not very big so you're limited on options. It's starting to show its age. Handrails broken in the elevator. Plus I only think 1 of the 3 elevators were working.
It is nice to get a cheap hot dog and drinks are reasonably priced. For the most part, the staff was nice.

The woman that check us in was friendly. I was “upgraded” but I would now like to see what had originally. The room was weird. Dark red walls weird outlets on the was one wall had 8 outlets with only two working in odd places and different red from the wall color. Rundown furniture and chipped walls. Just creepy. Burn hole in carpet. The upgraded internet was bad. I switched to the general WiFi. I wish I took a picture of the wall with the weird outlets. Ugh

Reasonable pricing, the staff was so very nice and accommodating. Pool and gym are lackluster, but decent. I regret not trying the restaurant, but the Art Cafe was *chefs kiss* delightful. I did like the location and will most likely stay again

La tasa del baño no servia fui a avisarle y duraron 2 dias 1 noche para mandar a alguien vovie a la recepción y que esperara pero no les dije que me cambiaran a otro cuarto porque reservé para 5 dias ! Me cambiaron y una lampara no servia y un foco del baño muy oscuro ! Esas es mi esperiecia de un 10 un 2 no vuelvo

Cheap hotel thats it no on site aparking so if your guy with family be prepared to walk alot to the parking lot very noisy but they offered ear plugsac was very slow to cool if you on a budget its ok walking distance to fremont but im personally not stay here again i would rather spend a little more and stay some where else

Clean room. Friendly staff. Line to check in was about 20-25 people around 3pm. Shorter when I checked in though late at night. Medium size casino. Small compared to others in Fremont. My only gripe was the constant bass I could hear from my room. Not sure of the source. It caused me to check out a day early.

Lovely hotel, staff were friendly and accommodating. We stayed at this hotel as we were here for the NRL takeover in March 26.
Would definitely stay there again, only gripe was that if your wanting a good nights sleep you probably won’t get one, the noise from strip is quite loud at night, but let’s face it who come to Vegas to sleep.
Definitely preferred downtown to central strip. Fremont is a 2 minute walk. Night life down Fremont is superb.

DTG has seen better days.. just a lot of minor scuffs n scratches n tears throughout the hotel. Elevators were pretty bad.. missing panels.. lots of stains. Noise doesn’t bother me but be prepared if u have a room on the fremont side of the hotel you will have noise from the stages til 1am. My room was decent sized and If it had a mini fridge n a microwave I would stay all the time bcz the price is not bad compared to similar rooms

This hotel was one I probably won’t be staying at again. Every few months when visiting Vegas my husband and I pick a new hotel to visit with the hopes of trying all of them. So far this was one of the worst.
The pros: they let us check in at 9 am for a very reasonable fee. It was also on the cheaper side of hotels in the Fremont area.
The cons: We were stuck in the elevator 4 TIMES. It just stopped at floor 6 and wouldn’t let us out for the first day. The room itself was alright. The beds were comfortable however, I was bit up by something all over my feet. Also, the water takes forever to heat up (a good 15 minutes) for a shower and there isn’t a working vent fan so it gets very steamy.
The absolute worst part of my stay was being harassed by the hotel’s security lady.
They don’t treat their paying guests well and that says a lot to me.

We stayed there for 3 days for a wedding event. Hotel was nice and clean. In walking distance to Downtown, downtown hotels and Fremont St. The only negative I would say was that our AC kept on turning off throughout the day/ night even after we had turned off the automatic turn on/off function. So it made for an uncomfortable sleep as the room would get muggy very quickly. Also no air vents or fan in the bathroom. Other than that the stay was good.

The rooms are reasonable and super clean, and quiet.. Bed was comfortable. No smell of cigarette smoke whatsoever, which is unique for a Vegas hotel and much appreciated. If you are staying in Downtown Las Vegas, this is close enough to the Fremont mall for easy access and far enough away that you do not have high noise volume. A refrigerator in the room would have been a plus and was really the only thing that was missing.

I am shocked at the positive reviews from this hotel but I can see it being nice for smokers or people who are solo traveling or young ready to party, so this review is for families or people who care about cleanliness. So to start the front desk read my room number aloud to me which is so uncomfortable and unsafe.They never informed me about house keeping protocol having to be requested. Next, we overheard them allowing people to smoke in their NON smoking hotel for a charge. We booked this hotel due to it being smoke-free we could smell marijuana and smoke in all the hallways in the hotel which is unfortunate. We ran out of towels and we let him know they brought us up some towels that had pubic hair on them. The room was pretty gross. Important for heat sensitive people they program the air to go off after 1.5 hours we had multiple people on multiple floors confirm and you cannot keep it on in settings to be prepared to wake up HOT we felt sick and dizzy. Entrance to the accessible tower is through the casino floor so once again smoke riddled. I wouldn't be able to eat anywhere on this property because the ventilation is so old and not functional that you're literally just getting pure cigarettes smoke. We looked at the air vents and the filterin the room and it was filthy, definitely an additional lung hazard.

They have two parking lots. One parking lot to the west looks sketchy and you have to walk down an alley to get to the Hotel. The one south and across the street is a little nicer, but the elevator is broken.

Business travelers beware. No matter how much planning or getting pre-authorized credit card forms approved ahead of time, you still get charged. Why they can’t be upfront with you from the beginning and just charge you from the beginning is beyond me. When you are checking in multiple rooms it is difficult to manage, correct and get reimbursement now on people’s credit cards for something that should have been simple.
Trying to get a hold of anyone who understands anything on the phone is near impossible as well. All I can suggest is dial “0” and be specific.

I won’t come back.

This location of the hotel is great. You were just minutes from the Fremont experience. The problem with this hotel is that it is very loud at night. Although we were on the eighth floor away from the Fremont Street, we could hear the music and very loud microphone people all night long till about two in the morning. Also, the air conditioner automatically shuts off after about 45 minutes and there was nothing we could do to keep it on so the sound could drown out the noise. We kept waking up every hour to turn the air conditioner back on because it was 78Degrees.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. Last time was 6 years ago. I feel the hotel is showing its age. The elevators were falling apart and not that clean. Room was ok. We were put in a handicapped room which we didn’t request. Pool was nice.

This hotel is close to being a great stay. It’s a value property and priced less than other Fremont Street resorts. Just a little rough around the edges. A manager did call my room after receiving my negative feedback after check-in. Thank you for that!

Pros:

It has a pool with free loungers and seating areas with a full bar and food.

It has lower minimum table games.

It’s located one block off Fremont away from the madness. You can walk to Walgreens and other amenities.

Clean and modern.

Cons:

Front desk staff is lackluster.

Needs one more casual food option besides Art Bar and Lucky’s.

Some disrepair seen throughout property.

Transients hanging around.

The pool is small. The air conditioner in the room didnt work on high. The customer service representative that took the call for the air conditioner named Brittany was rude. The parking lot smells like urine and feces. There are homeless people smoking crack and using the bathroom in public right by the staircase for the parking lot and the elevator was not working. Probably wont be back! This used to be my go to hotel and it has really gone down hill.

First of all , the room we got was depressing with its outdated colors and decor , scratched up walls , crooked tv hung . super far away from the casino , room service was terrible asked for a hair dryer twice because there wasn't one in there and never showed up , asked for extra towels on the second night and I had to call twice and again extra blankets never showed up , trash in the elevator lobby overflowing for 3 days , vending machine took my money twice and I have to call an 800 number to get my money back , staff was nice and parking area looks like you gonna get assaulted at any moment I thought I was gonna save money by staying here it ended up being 789$ for 3 nights I should have stayed at somewhere else

The hotel was clean and newly renovated. The pool closes super early which was not great. They need some to assist members with issues other than the check in desk people. It’s very annoying to have to stand in line for the checkout desk. If you just have a question or you have an issue that needs to be handled. You need to have a concierge who can help current members at the hotel.

I had to change my room 3 times due to a terrible smell in my first room, and then the next 2 didn't have the toilets cleaned, and one of those still had someone's room keys on the dresser. The front staff was kind and offered me a refund on 2 of the resort fees (which by the way are not included in your Expedia total), but they only refunded me for 1.
I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Had stayed about three years ago and since then they’ve made significant upgrades to the rooms(at least the one I was in). This place is a good value. Simple amenities and prices reasonable all around compared to Strip hotels. Easy walking distance to downtown and several restaurants. Very much enjoyed The Triple George.

It is a lovely property. Quiet for the most part, which is nice to find just off Freemont street. The food at Freedom Beat was yummy.
My biggest challenge was the air conditioning system. I could get it to stay on and keep my room cool. No matter how many times I set it on auto for a set temp, it would just automatically randomly turn off. This week it was nice weather. I realize they want to be aware of costs, but guests need to be comfortable in their rooms. I don't want anything ridiculous, but coming back to a hot room is not enjoyable. Waking up in a warm room is not enjoyable.
I was at a conference, and all of my friends attending the conference and staying at this hotel in our tower were having the same issue, so it was not just my room.

We’ve been staying at the Downtown Grand since it opened about a decade ago. The location is great, the parking is free, and our needs are largely met here. But the property is starting to show its age, and it may be time for us to move to the Circa.

The bed was awful. The springs no longer spring. We tried flipping the bed to no avail - it was like sleeping on lumps of wool. Our backs are killing us, and we’re not THAT old (late 30s early 40s).

The air conditioning in the room was a pain until our last two nights (of five). The first day, the AC would not kick on. I had to call the front desk, who sent someone to promptly deal with it. He kicked it on from some other place in the building, and we got from 86 to 76 over the next few hours. But after a night of that, and the unit turning itself off every three hours, we called again - apparently the automatic shut off after three hours was also centrally controlled. So night two we had that shut off, but the unit still would not kick on until it was four degrees hotter than the set temp. Which is… a pretty big difference. Finally, following the third night and the third service call, they got things settled and we were able to control the temperature in our room.

Every staff member was wonderfully helpful, but the hospitality industry should be working to prevent and address these issues instead of making people deal with them over successive nights of really poor sleep.

I asked for housekeeping the entire stay and it only happened one night. I called and asked for more coffee (part of the \"resort fee\" we have to pay) and none was delivered. Also, the air conditioning was only working intermittently. The lobby/casino area is very clean and doesn't smell too bad like smoke.

Room was old had odor like somone had smoked in room previously. The smell in bathroom was even worse. Parking garage has one elevator that was broken. Had to roll my luggage threw car entrance. Location is great though. Walking distance from Freemont.
