It’s called “design “ hotel but I don’t see any part has advantage as a designed piece. The hotel room is very small, the wall paper looks like old and smudged, the air condition not working, vent not working in the very small shower area so the room smells humid. It’s just not as nice as you see from the photos.

Great value hotel with free wifi and some English tv channels. The continental breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The hotel is situated within 5 min walk of metro station and a 1 day metro and rer combined ticket was great value. Only took us 50 mins from hotel to Disneyland

Paris without the fuss

What a Gem

BLC is a great little hotel in Paris. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The room was very spacious and clean.
A great little hotel away form the tourist area if your after a more local based atmosphere. Some amazing restaurants and cafes. Will definitely stay again.

Clean room, with a comfortable bed! Great location and overall great stay for the price point. There are lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance. A shuttle can be reserved to the airport for 26 Euros (cheaper than an Uber). The customer service was great. Breakfast was decent. Wifi worked without any issues.

We arrived five minutes early and was told it would be another hour to two before the room was clean. Wasn’t a big deal as there was plenty to walk to in the area and, they we nice enough to store our luggage. The room however, we had blood stained linens and the shower was cold had to wait seven minutes before any hot water came out. Also wasn’t a fan of mirrored walls in the shower, mirrors are great in a room, just not the shower.

The hotel itself is ok, however I was there during salon week so it certainly wasn’t worth the price I paid. You need to like white, because literally EVERYTHING is white. The bed was super comfy, clean etc. Floors are cold white tiles, no rug so it just lacked warmth. The shower is a tiny wet room, which is fine but the pull-across curtain wasn’t great for protecting the tiled floors which became v wet and slippery. All in all it was ok but probably in my top 5 hotels in Paris...

The reception is very friendly and welcoming. Let us stayed one hour later without charge due to my partner’s illness. However, in the room the shower design is not good, curtain is too short did not stop water from the tray, the shower cubicle has 2 mirrors wall and 1 glass wall, ok for couple but not for friends sharing. Floor is all tills so can be slippery and cold.

Really clean and close to centre

The hotel was minimal and basic but all we needed. Everywhere is spotless in the hotel and staff very friendly. Breakfast wasn’t great, quite squashed at a breakfast bar and not a massive selection but apart from that we’d definitely go back. Highly recommend.

The hotel location is perfect but it is the worse room I have ever stayed in. The room is beyond small to the point that you have to put your luggage on the top of the bed in order to be able to open it. it is very small to the point that there is no space for a small refrigerator. Also, you can not control your own room temperature. I was told that the hotel was designed with only one A/C and a furnace for the whole hotel. It was very hot for us and we couldn't sleep because the hotel was sat to Winter mood and shot off the A/C while the weather was hot for the whole week we stayed at BLC hotel. I visited so many countries and stayed at so many hotels but BLC is the worse one by far. It was wast for our money without sleep or comfort.

This hotel is decent value for money but is showing its age. Parts of the room are in bad shape such as a large patch of rust on the bathroom counter. Customer service not great. I arrived 1hr40 early and had to pay e30 to check in \"early\". The room was ready and they could have easily let me in and the charge seemed like a lousy way for them to squeeze an extra buck out of a customer. The in-room safe did not work and a staff member tried to blame it on me even though i had followed the instructions precisely.

My girlfriend and i had a comfortable stay. The location is convenient enough. Restaurants are all around. The metro is about 8 minutes walk away. The separate toilet and shower room is a nice touch. But there isnt any fridge in the room. It also gets stuff really fast i had to keep the window cracked open most the time. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Comfy room with easy access to metro

The hotel is very close to the Charonne metro which is handy, from the hotel, I walked to Bastille (0.7 Miles), and then wandered through the place de Vosges and Marais (very trendy area) area. Room itself is clean and comfy, good shower but make sure you tuck in the curtain well to avoid leaking. The hotel charges €13 for breakfast which I opt out as Paris is spoilt with really good cafe everywhere. Staff are polite, helpful and nice, you can leave your luggage upon checkout. Overall, recommended.

Worth the stay for the neighborhood

The area around the hotel was great .. Bastille .... lots of restaurants and bars that are open late, and great for younger visitors, who want to be able to go out late at night and not worry about catching a metro back, before 1am, when they shut them down. You can leave at 1am for a drink and walk back after.

We actually liked the hotel and had a view of the Eiffel Tower from our room (6th floor). It has a weird shower situation, that its almost open to the room ... so the water keeps coming thru all over the room and the floor and the shower are VERY slippery ... the shower curtain didn't cover most of actual shower.

There was no WiFi for 2 full days, which was horrible and if you were to stay there for business and there was no WiFi, it would've been a disaster ... it was inconvenient, but we just left the hotel and tried to find a Starbucks to connect.

Staff felt a little overwhelmed ... but overall was an ok stay ... of course, dont expect a 5 star service, when you know this is a 3 star hotel.

BLC meets basic hotel needs

For this price point, BLC meets all your basic criteria in having a clean room to stay. The staff should be trained properly in hotel hospitality. Our first approach with a question about the breakfast when we wanted to eat was met with a 15 minute wait while the young receptionist discussed the ledger with an older gentleman. No eye contact was made. No acknowledgement we were even standing there. The shower stall was so small that the rain shower head covers nearly the entire stall whereby it was impossible to open your eyes while trying to shampoo or find your toiletries. Plus if you are not careful the water will be all over the tile floor of your room because it is that small. My partner's remark was someone designed the rooms to be really cool but forgot it also needs to function.

Lovely hotel, shame about the noise!

Great location, close to the Bastille and Le Marais. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. We had the ground floor room which was lovely and quite big! It had a terrace with table and chairs which was a great bonus! However, being on the ground floor and having the 'breakfast' bar right outside the room meant 6am wake up calls from the staff banging about, setting up and shouting at the top of their lungs. Was so frustrating and really dampened our views on the lovely room. Other than that would still recommend the hotel, would just suggest to make sure you're not on the ground floor!

The best way to describe the way we used this hotel was basically to hold our bag whilst we were out and somewhere to sleep. We didn't eat there and there is absolutely no extra facilities- but this is pretty much what we needed.

We were not impressed that the room was not serviced whilst we were out and we were not shown to the room, even when there were plenty of staff available.

Overall, our stay was good. The room was a little strange being entirely white with the exception of a little girl's head above the bed, but it was kept very clean. The rain shower was really nice, we had no problems with wifi, and the bedding was comfortable. Location is near Bastille and close to public transportation.

Great hotel, amazing huge room, very clean!

I was offered a free upgrade on arrival to double deluxe which was very kind! The hotel room was massive with my own private terrace, and extremely clean. 2 minute walk from Charonne metro. The only bad criticism was having a room next to the breakfast area, meaning I could hear people eating in the morning, but not a big deal at all in comparison to everything else being perfect. Amazing price for value, I will definitely book again for my next trip to Paris. I didn't eat breakfast here so I can't comment on that!

a nicely designed hotel, not enough furniture

the design and location of the hotel are very nice. however, there are not enough furniture in the room. there were no shelves of closet to put clothes, so we had to leave everything in the suitcase during the whole stay. there was one bedside table, so one of has had to throw his book on the floor.. and this was the biggest, most luxourious room of the hotel.
please note that the shower is actually part of the room so no privacy what so ever. the toilet is in a seperate area.
the sink and its counter are tiny. leaving actually no place for amenities or makeup, not to mention hand soap.
it could get a much higher score just by giving some attention to comfort.

My Favourite Paris Hotel Yet

I booked what I thought was a budget, convenient hotel for a couple of nights away with a friend, but got the pleasant surprise of a balcony, top-floor room with views overlooking the rooftops of Paris, amazingly comfortable bedding, huge shower and a really cutting-edge, bright-white interior design. The neighbourhood also is the best I've ever stayed in - progressive, bohemian, laid-back, vintage vibes. Would stay again without a doubt!

The room was clean and big enough for two, but the design of the shower space was bad... The shower curtain was too small, there was no angle to avoid the water to splash out to the floor. Also when someone is showering the other person wouldn't be abale to use the sink because the curtain is too small you would see the body... Location was not the best, there were only two metro stations near it which only had line 8 and 9. No kettle and hair dryer provided, not enough table to put stuff. Wifi was good and the room is quiet though.

My husband and I had the best time here. We had a room with french doors and the bed was very comfortable. It was super close to the Metro and also very close to Bastille, shopping and a ton of Pattisseries/Boulangeries. The staff was friendly and very helpful and we couldn't be happier! Would stay again...and try to figure out the AC!

We booked this hotel on a whim after some confusion with another booking. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very pleasant. It was odd to us that we had to leave the key at the front every time we left andy then there was some confusion when we came back. Also, the air conditioner in our room did not work. We tried adjusting the thermostat and everything else we could think of but we just could not get the air to come on! SO this is why we gave a lower number for the room comfort because it was a little warm when we would return our room. Overall, we would stay again.

The hotel was very clean and I liked the white theme.

Room was tiny, but I am told this is normal for Paris. Had to ask for a hairdryer but this was provided. No kettle in room, or fridge. During a hot summer this was mildly annoying, it would have been good to chill some juice.

Staff were helpful and the pricing was perfect for our needs.

Neighbourhood was super - some lovely cafes and shops on Rue de Charonne and Bastille was just a 10-12 minute walk away. Metro to town was quick and easy.

It was located close to the center, and close to metro so it was easy to get anywhere. The room is a bit small but you're not buying a home, just staying at a hotel for a few days. Internet was good, staff were great, bed was comfy and everything was clean.

One of the days I was there Internet router was acting up, Frances ( I believe is his name) was on top of it to get it working. Really thoughtful.

We didn't get the breakfast because at a first glance it seemed pricy for a breakfast. However getting breakfast/lunch elsewhere was more pricy and inconvenient. So I would recommend getting your room to include breakfast.

Very nice hotel, well decorated, in a very nice location in Paris.

Only 5 minutes walk from the tube station and lots of restaurants nearby.

Very helpful and friendly staff.

only thing I would suggest is to improve the ironing table situation (only 2 for the entire hotel that were missing during my stay).

Perfect for

I was welcomed and allowed into my room early. Very helpful after the overseas flight and 6 hour time shift. All the staff were courteous and helpful. The small room was extremely well designed for all its necessary functions including a safe in the drawer under the bed.

Wonderful short break

Hotel was exactly what I needed. Nothing too fancy or complicated. Easy to get to from the airport. About 30/40 minutes drive. The room was all white, so if you have a phobia of white walls then watch out lol.
My room was perfect for one. Simple and clean. Didn't need to speak with the staff as I wasn't in need of them.. This is the kind of hotel where you just want to go to sleep and drop the bags because if you are in Paris you don't want to be in your hotel for anything but sleeping.
Wifi works perfectly, it is password protected and that is a bonus.
Would I come back? Yes

Awful management running this hotel

This hotel is run by awful management. In a good location but that doesn't make up for the poor running of the hotel, noise at night and uncomfortable temperature in the box rooms, even if you book a 'comfort' room.

Visit to Paris

In general the hotel was ok but we did not get what we requested (a room with a king size bed), the room was very small and the air conditioning was not working well. The location was ok in terms of access to the subway but the neighborhood does not look nice. In terms of cost / benefit the hotel is expensive.

Beautiful comfortable clean rooms near metro

Overall, beautiful white Rooms with very comfortable beds and clean bathroom and showers conveniently located next to Charrone metro station that takes you across the city. The hotel was small, but was more than enough for our stay. The lobby is cozy with very friendly staff that spoke English well and assisted us happily with all our requests throughout our stay. We took the suggestion of others and booked our room without breakfast and it was a great move because near the hotel are many bakeries that have delicious pastries for breakfast (in the case you decide to have early breakfast before leaving the hotel, you can still do so by paying at the lobby). Around the hotel is a Parisian shopping area with a few local brand boutique shops. There are a few restaurants/cafes as well that open till late at night. In my experience, there isn't much to do in the area, however the metro conveniently takes you anywhere you would like to go. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris. It was around 45 min away from CDG (depending on traffic) by taxi, and we were charged a bit less than 60 euros to the door. The neighborhood feels safe and is quiet especially at night. I give this hotel a 5/5 for a great 5 nights experience we had. I would definitely pick this hotel again for my next trip to Paris.

Good Choice for Paris

This hotel is located in a nice and convenient neighborhood - close to the metro and many restaurants, bars and shops. The staff at the hotel is very nice and helpful. The room was larger than I expected after reading the reviews. It had a nice patio door that opened onto the street for fresh air. The bed was super comfortable and the overall space was functional. It was clean. The breakast price seemed expensive so we ate breakfast out - there are some good options nearby.
