Hotel was ok, the bathrooms were recently renovated and was very nice (shower was great) and new aircon in the rooms was very welcome. Decor was a bit shabby. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment and the room was small, but to be expected for a central Paris hotel. Overall, ok value for the price paid and would stay here again.

The hotel room itself is very small but it was alright cause we only stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is very close to restaurants and I mean many restaurants. Its a quiet area, walking distance to metro and cafes. Many locals in the area which was nice and very safe area.

Good for solo travellers or couples travelling very light as the rooms are tiny. Great location, easy check-in, service ok, bed comfortable enough, hot shower. However as mentioned very small room so for 1 person it's fine however it would be extremely tight with two.

The front desk staff were very friendly, helpful, and spoke English. We were initially assigned a room that had not yet been cleaned, and this was resolved immediately which we appreciated. The rooms are very small, which we expect in most European hotels, but the bathroom was almost unmanageable. There was no outlet, no counter space, and very little room between the toilet and the sink. As we had come for an event, I found it very difficult to get ready with hair and makeup in this bathroom. The room itself was clean, but the carpet seemed dingy. The air conditioning at the hotel is centrally controlled which I think is important to know before - I like my room freezing and always ensure that the rooms I book have A/C. This air could not be changed in the room and it was too warm for us. Had I known this, I would have booked a different hotel. The surrounding neighborhood was quiet and seemed residential and safe. We walked back to the hotel late at night with no issue. It is not close to the main tourist attractions in Paris, but was about a half hour walk to the Arena (which we had come for). All in all, this was fine for one night but I would not have wanted to stay there for a vacation.

This is nice, but simple, hotel in a relaxed area near Pere Lachaise metro.
Check-in was quick and easy and the room was comfortable. Unusual in a French hotel, there was a kettle and tea/coffee in the room. Everything worked (I didn't use the TV, so I don't know about that). The only thing that could be improved was that there was a door on the same floor as my room which squeaked very loudly, so the hinges could do with a little oil.
This was a good hotel for the price. I would certainly recommend it.

First Time in Hotel Chemin Vert

Hotel du Chemin Vert was OK. The rooms were small and the bathroom very small. I would not recommend this hotel for any person who was above average height or weight due to the size of the bathroom. The lift was very small, one person plus a suitcase. The stairs were quite narrow and you had to be careful at night as there was a delay in the automatic light coming on.
The room was very clean, warm and the bed was comfortable. Our room faced Rue Chemin Vert and if you are a light sleeper the traffic noise would be problematic.
The Hotel was about a 20 minute easy walk to Bastille and the surrounding areas were well appointed with public transport, shopping options and cafes.
We did not use any of the hotel facilities and our only interaction with the reception staff was adequate.

The hotel is good. Location is not the most convenient, but the price was good. It was just a very noisy area. Lots and lots of street construction. Although that is likely temporary. I had a room next to the street so, I heard a lot of the street noise- but I didn’t ask to be away from it- only because I didn’t think I’d have an issue.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Someone's there 24 hours. It was nicely quiet, and I had a Clean comfortable bed with nice sheets and pillows, a nicely remodeled bathroom, with good towels, soap & shampoo, and the room has air conditioning. It was hot out, and I really appreciated the AC. I had a small room, perfect for a couple or solo. There was a closet and a good sized counter to put things on. The small TV was great for some language exposure. There's a small elevator, and you can get a nice breakfast if you pay a little more. I just walked to a couple different coffee places nearby for the Paris Cappuccino & croissant experience, which I love in the early morning, before the streets get busy. The Metro is pretty close, so its easy go all over. A nearby park was wonderful for my granddaughter's play time, and we ate in nice (but pricey) restaurants nearby. There are grocery stores nearby too, and we enjoyed getting bread, cheese, olives, avocados, peppers & drinks for a picnic. A couple of us walked to a lively bar and were out until midnight, and the area felt safe, with interesting and busy people. The wi fi was fast!

we had to leave our usual hotel nearby because they were full for our second night and this was close and relatively reasonable. Reception nice although they stored our luggage next to the toilet when they had a left luggage room, as we found out later. Rooms very modern, but a distinct cleaning smell when we came in at night. It was far too hot, and combined with the smell, we passed an uncomfortable night. Bathroom very modern but with the smallest shower stall I ever saw, and I am tiny.

The room was small and had a funny petrol like smell, couldn't really open the window as heating duct outside, no other view. Only stayed one night as came from Milan and going back to London the next day. Convenient as near Gare de Lyon and not far to Gare du Nord. Away from the main tourist areas. Would not go back again. Bed comfortable though.

Further from the center than it looks

Given how small Paris is, I thought the location of this hotel wouldn't be a problem. It turned out that it was actually a bit of a pain, because I ended up not using the metro very much to get to places like the Marais because the closest station was, I think, Voltaire (on the 9), and the 9 goes around the city rather than into it, so it felt faster to walk rather than dealing with changing trains at Bastille.

Getting in the door of the hotel was a bit confusing the first time; the door handle is just a groove at the center of the double-door; it ought to just have a normal handle.

And the dirty shower curtain gave me a bad feeling, particularly given how small the shower was (i.e., it was difficult to avoid touching it).

We stayed in room 16 at the back of the building so very quiet, not that rue due Chemin Vert is a busy street (it isn't). The room was small but adequate for 2 adults - flat screen TV with plenty of channels (French), powerful yet quiet aircon unit, free wifi, and new bathroom with proper shower stall - all made for a very pleasant stay. The room & bathroom were very clean & fresh towels were provided every morning. We have friends in the Bastille area so being so close to rue de la Roquette was a bonus. We would stay here again.

This is a nice place to stay while visiting Paris with several Metro stations , french cafes, restaurants and shops close by. At the same time it situated outside of main tourist destinations so there are no crowds. Room was small but very clean. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We had positive experience. Touring Paris every day, we would return after midnight every time - neighborhood is safe and there was somebody at hotel front desk greeting us.

Veilige buurt rondom het hotel met genoeg eetgelegenheden en terrasjes. Ook de aansluiting op de metro voor de rest van de stad is op loopafstand. Een minpuntje is dat het personeel achter de receptie vaak met oortjes in zit of zelfs in slaap was gevallen en luid lag te snurken.

La première des attentes quand vous réservez un nuit d'hôtel c'est de pouvoir dormir au calme. Cet hôtel contrairement à beaucoup d'autres vous offre ce confort. Et en plus l'accueil est discret mais sympathique, le petit déjeuner est satisfaisant le tout conduisant à un rapport qualité prix très compétitif. Tous mes remerciements à cet hôtel et son équipe pour avoir permis à ma fille de passer ces oraux de concours CPGE dans de bonnes conditions, au moins en ayant pu se reposer correctement au cours de nos 2 nuits.

L'accueil est agréable avec la sourire, ce n'est pas une palace mais rapport qualité prix, situation dans Paris et proximité des transports, l'état des lieux est tres bien, le petit-déjeuner est correct, tous les employés( de l'accueil aux femmes de chambres)sont souriants, polis, et serviables. On n'est pas dérangé par ses voisins de chambre ni des immeubles d'à côté ni de la rue en bas. Même dans les chambres ou la SdB fait tout juste 2M2 avec Douche, lavabo et WC on n'as pas l'impression d'être et on n'est pas serré dedans. Moi qui travaille dans la rénovation j'étais impressionné par l'aménagement.

Dès, notre arrivée, nous sommes prises à la gorge par une odeur de santal et de vieille poussière. Paiement à l’arrivée sans avoir vu la chambre. Réservation pour 2 personnes en lits jumeaux pour 3 nuits qui aurait nécessité une chambre plus grande. Salle d’eau très exiguë, sans patère ni tablette. Cintres cassés, téléphone inopérant pour appeler la réception, aucun livret d’accueil avec les renseignements indispensables, 1 seul oreiller supplémentaire, nous avons dû appeler avec notre propre téléphone pour en demander un autre, pas de déca ni de choix dans le plateau de service, gobelets de toute petite taille. Si les matelas étaient bons, les oreillers étaient très inconfortables. Chiffon de ménage laissé sur nos valises. Petit déjeuner très décevant, produits bas de gamme. De façon générale, cet établissement n’est pas à la hauteur d’un 3 étoiles.

It is not the first time we stay at this hotel but it is the first time we are not satisfied: the mattress was extremely soft and saggy, the pillow very hard, the shower was tiny, the shower gel dispenser provided only one drop of shower gel every time you pushed... We were at the ground floor and had view at the street so could not properly open the windows. Worst thing: we had booked for two persons but the reception at the beginning insisted that we had booked only for one.

Très agréablement surpris par l'établissement par rapport aux quartier et tarif. L'accueil était très agréable meme si le coin réception laissé un doute sur la chambre que j'allais en avoir. Mais franchement ma chambre il n'y avait rien à dire, c'était nickel, propres, moquette, murs et plafond était implacables, pareil pour la salle de bain, petite mais tout était dans un état de neufs ( possible que ca à été refait très récemment) j'aurai voulu ajouter des photos mais ca bug la

El hotel es cómodo, el elevador es muy pequeño pero cumple su función, la plaza de la bastille está muy cerca y puedes llegar a pie, los autobuses y metros también.
Muy céntrico para mi gusto, camine por todo paris sin problemas para llegar a toda hora.
La cama muy cómoda, la bañera un poco pequeña y se salía el agua..
nos cambiaban las toallas diario por lo que agradezco.

Hotel du Chemin Vert is a good accommodation to visit Paris. It is nearby several metrostations and Cimetière du Père-Lachaise. In the street are several shops where you can do your small shopping and (streetfood) restaurants.
The room in the hotel was fine with a reasonably good bed and nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was simple and good with fresh coffee, tea, croissants and rolls.
The staff was friendly and helpful. It was also very nice that we could leave our luggage in the hotel after check-out until our train left.
