We had a lovely stay at this Citadines! It was excellently located for everything we wanted to do (walkable / runnable to lots of major landmarks). It was clean, nicely designed, comfortable, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Worth noting that cleaning is extra (we didn’t use it so I can’t remember how much), and whilst there is a kettle in the room, if you want coffee or tea you have to go to reception to use the coffee machine and/or grab tea bags.

it must be borne in mind that the property is undergoing a refurbishment at the moment, hence the low score for 'property condition'.

That aside, it is an excellent hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the reception team speak very good English.

There is a Monoprix, patisserie, boulangerie, and Metro station all within a one-minute walk from the hotel, so the local facilities are excellent.

I would make a couple of comments for future improvements:

1. There is no wash-hand basin in the toilet, which means you have to turn off the light and open the door with unclean hands. This is a potential health hazard.

2. There is a fire alarm just over the cooker, which might be set off by ordinary cooking fumes. There actually was a fire alarm set off while we were there, but no fire, so getting rid of the alarms near the cookers might be a good idea.

3. There is only one plug socket in the kitchen area, meaning that you cannot boil the kettle and use the toaster at the same time. A two-way adaptor would be a useful addition to the facilities.

We have stayed here in the past and will definitely stay again, and look forward to seeing the hotel once it has been refurbished.

Great hotel! We had a 5 night comfortable stay. Hotel is short walk to Parmentier, St. Ambroise and Oberkampf Metro stations. Close to two supermarkets. Lots of great restaurants within short walking distance. Room was newly renovated, clean and comfortable. Stayed on the 4th floor where it was very quiet. The kitchenette was great and came stocked with glasses and dishes.

Super great and safe place to stay with a family

This hotel was super clean and the staff were extremely friendly. Lea at the front desk was so super friendly and helpful and she always kept a smile on her face. All of the front desk staff spoke English which was great for me since I only speak English(from America-NYC)and the room we stayed in was nice and spacious for 2 adults and 2 children. Love that the room had a kitchen with stove, sink, and microwave(microwave took longer than usual to heat up food but still worked). It also had plates and utensils. There is a living room with 2 very comfortable pull out twin beds and the bedroom had a full or queen size bed. Sorry, I forgot the size but it fit 2 people comfortably. There is a wash room with just the shower/tub and a sink and a toilet room with just the toilet. I loved everything about this hotel, the room, the service, staff, area, transportation(right across the street from the metro and the bus stops right in front of the hotel, and they do uber cabs and uber eats there as well). The things that I had an issue with were the toilet getting clogged up (twice) and for me, I had 2 children in the room (7 and 9) but the windows open up so wide that if your not careful and don’t keep them locked and watch your children, a child can possibly fall out of the window being curious or just playing around. Other than that our stay was great. Also, the restaurant near the hotel, Les Anemones Cafe Bistrot was amazing. The food was super great and fresh, ask for Muhammad.

It was not so good. They have 2 blocks. Reception was in block 1 and our room was in block 2. Our car was parked in block 1 as well as the hotel parking is there. We would have to go to block 1 reception first to switch elevators and then go to our car. Secondly, we booked Double/Queen bed and they had only 2 twin beds on our check in, which was very much frustrating as they rudely said yes you booked it double and we dont have it. I asked thm they could have messaged me via Expedia to inform this so I could cancel and book elsewhere. Just being Parisians.

Not all Citidines are alike!

This hotels is located in a nice neighborhood and pretty easy Metro connections. We have stayed at other Citidines in Paris. This one was a bit shabby and tired. Old appliances in the kitchen, cracked sink in the bathroom, and the shower sprayed all over the floor when showering. Beds were ok with good linens and pillows. We did not have the breakfast for 14 euros but had access to the coffee machine.

The metro is literally across the road so perfect to get around Paris. A lovely and less touristy area so you really get a feel of France when walking around. Great rest bite from the hectic city centre. The hotel room itself suited our needs and was clean and a great size. I do wish the toilet had been in the actual bathroom or there had been at least a sink in the room with the toilet. Also, after a long day we would have liked to watch a bit of TV but there was no option for English subtitles so we couldn’t follow along with anything.

I really enjoyed this property. It was nice to be very close to the metro, and lots of restaurants near! The staff was lovely and even gave us a popsicle when we checked in. We used the laundry room and when we had questions we used the phone to call the front desk and they helped us. They were very friendly! Our room was also really nice and clean.

Positioned between Gare de Lyon and Gare de Nord, so as a transit stay worth considering. A bit away from tourists points of interest without use of metro.

Hotel staff were good. The room was ok, nothing special. The annoying part about the room was the toilet being separate from the sink and garbage. Lots of walking back and forth between the 2. No power outlet in the bathroom. And only one side of the bed had an outlet. Walls were pretty thin, we could hear our neighbours and since we also had a mini balcony we could hear the traffic all night.

The only downside was the cleansiness of room was slightly lacking. Upon arrival the room had a stale smell which made the room feel unclean. It could have done with airing out and freshing up with a final sprucing around.

Great location, only a couple of minutes walk from Parmentier. Area gives off a student vibe, and there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and supermarkets close by.

Our one bed apartment was clean, and both the main and sofa beds were comfy. It was quite small, especially the bedroom, and it didn't look much like the photo shown - probably because it was an apartment rather than a normal room. Kitchen was well equipped.

As mentioned in other reviews, it was a bit noisy in the early evening, but nothing you wouldn't expect from this kind of location in a major city and it quietened down quickly after 10pm-ish.

Staff were all helpful.

Definitely recommend, and would use again in future.

The hotel and the room, even if functional, are kind of old fashioned. The size of the Studio Room looks much bigger on pictures then in reality. Our room on the back of the hotel was very quiet. A lot of groceries, restaurants, bars and stores nearby. Expensive for what you get.

This place was quite good. The kitchen was good to be able to cook a few meals. Close to the metro multiple lines, 1 within 2 mins, 1 within 10 mins. There were a lot of restaurants near by and there was a grocery store near by as well. The lighting in the room was not the best and the suite we were in had the toilet in a separate from the bathtub. The folks working there were super helpful and even provided us with an adapter.

Staff spoke excellent English and provided all necessary information we may need. The 2 heaters in the room was a little wonky and was on & off during our 8 days' of stay and required one day where Maintenance had to come up to service it. Was still alright in this mild winter.

LOVED our kitchenette for our nightly dinners, especially the dishwasher. Nice to cook and not have to deal with cleaning after. There are basic pots, pan, electric kettle and a microwave but bring own salt and pepper if you wish to cook decent meals or just buy at the nearby Supermarket - Monoprix.Very convenient. Great to be able to cook after a long day of running around outside, esp when you dont want to spend 25euro per meal for 2.

Our room faced a college so it was slightly more noisy in the mornings of Mon - Wed when students milled around before classes but we wake around the same time to prepare to go out so it didn't bother us at all.

We thoroughly enjoyed the location of the hotel, being near Bus 46 & 96 which brings us to most locations we needed to go, including Gare De L'est & Gare Du Nord for the RER B for Charles De Gaulle airport. Parmentier Metro station is very near too.

We didn't pay for the daily breakfast but were told we could still have complimentary Coffee/Tea daily. Excellent teas available to suit all tastes.

Will definitely want to stay here again when we return to Paris! Great price and good location.

We like the friendly attitude of its personnel always ready to help, making us feel important. The room was clean, including a mini kitchen where we prepare breakfast, and dinner. There was always late coffee, cappuccino, tea, and hot chocolate. Nearby there is a super market where prices are relatively cheap. The be was very comfortable and wide enough to have a good night sleep. The Parmentier Metro station was located at 90 meters from the hotel entrance. The hotel has two good size elevator and even though the hotel is under renovation we didn't feel the the noise at all. We love it, and most definitely we recommend it and will stay in this hotel one more time. Great hotel.

Beat and clean, tailored for business travelers, worked for our overnight last minute stay over. Amenities are as described, provided fans and extra sheet we requested. Modern building in a busy Paris location. No A/C, which is typical for Paris but terribly hot during summer times for Americans used to below 72 degrees F sleeping condition. Staff speaks English very well and for an extra 25E you have a secure parking if you're a fool enough to drive.

Frequent visitor to this property and noticing that it is beginning to show its age and due for a lick of paint and fixing of some of furniture. Nevertheless, a well-fitted kitchen makes it a great option if you want to be able to prepare some of your own meals. Beds are on the soft side. Location is stellar if you appreciate the charms of the 11e: trendy little restos and bars, independent shops. Lots of metro options too.

Very friendly staff, who had excellent English. The woman on reception was very helpful on the day we checked out, as it was a Gilet Jaune march day and she checked to see our bus route was going to be affected by it. Didn't have breakfast, so cannot comment on that aspect.
The rooms were big enough f the two of us, and clean and comfortable.
The early morning street cleaning at 4am was a bit noisy, but that is beyond the control of the hotel. Large Monoprix about a 40 second walk from the hotel; same for Metro station. Will definitely stay here when we return to Pars.

Great room for traveling with a family or a group!

Ok so do NOT go here in July or August. There is no AC! Any other time I think it would be a great little spot- it was just blazing hot and despite the three fans in the room our first two nights were very uncomfortable.
Because AC has been in every hotel I have ever stayed in, I didn’t think to check for that on the list of amenities. It was nice to have a kitchenette, and the pull out couch bed was great for our kids.

The rooms were excellent for our 1 week stay. The kitchenette is nice if you do not want to eat out all the time, pots, pans, cups, plates, knives forks included all you need to do is walk 100m to the store for groceries. Then again the location has wonderful restaurants and a deliscious Turkish sandwich shop next door and night life one block over. The metro station and bus stations are across the street and easy to use. All the staff members were very nice and helpful with event tickets and directions. To me this was the best place in Paris to stay for the cost.

The hotel was very clean, located in a very safe area, very close to a metro station.
Staff was very friendly, they all spoke perfect english and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were always providing tips regarding restaurants, transportation and places to visit.

location is excellent - 5m walk to Republique and surrounded by public transport. but not a great room - kitchen / entrance area is strange vs the nice room and bathroom; no cleaning staff

Hotel ok, will look at staying elsewhere next time

Hotel room is a bit run down with paint chipping in the bathroom. Beds are ok. Toilet is separate from shower and while there is a small kitchen, we didn’t use it except for the fridge. Lots of restaurants nearby and very close to the metro. No cleaning service for the 5 nights we stayed.

Moved to another Citadines hotel without consent

Travelling in a large group for a wedding. We all arranged to be at the Citadines Republique. Half the group was relocated to another Citadines hotel without any consent or advanced notice. The explanation we got was that the hotel was overbooked. No form of compensation was offered proactively for this inconvenience

The hotel is in a great location just outside the main tourist area so that you can get a more local feel but also in easy walking distance to the Marais

Comfy room kitchenette, very close to metro!

The room was small but not tiny. The beds were singles in our twin room and of regular size and comfortable. Each bed had 2 pillows. The room had a kitchenette as you walk in the door. The bathroom shower glass didn't stop the water getting onto the floor. In fact it was pointless having the small piece of glass trying to stop the water. This wouldn't have bothered us if we had enough towels to be able to mop it up but as the apartment (room) cleaning was only weekly we didn't have the towels to be able to do this. Long term I imagine alot of water damage will acrue over the coming months/years!!
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful with directions to the tourist areas. There was a metro stop, good healthy style supermarket 50m from the hotel. Some restaurants nearby too. The room was clean and functional although there was no air conditioning. This meant we had to open the windows at night and each night we heard the noisy tenants in a room opposite the courtyard who liked to party until 5am! Wifi is good too.
Overall a good place to stay as it is relatively new.
