The hotel could do with a renovation. The facilities were OK but struggle to be 4 star standard. The breakfast was a standard buffet but the furniture is too big and there were too many large tables and chairs so when half full it is difficult to find spaces or move around. Several times there was not enough cutlery, bread or glassware.

I was very comfortable during my stay at this hotel; the room was lovely with a small balcony and a spacious, colorfully tiled bathroom. The staff at reception were friendly and cooperative. I have one small criticism which I reported at reception but was not really addressed: the room lacks teacups, and though I requested this and was assured that housekeeping would be informed, no teacups were provided during my stay (except one time when I came down to reception specifically for that). This hotel in central Paris is good value for money nonetheless, and I recommend it. Will return.

Great location and most of our stay was pleasant. BUT, on our last night, around 11pm while we were in bed about to go to sleep, another guest checking in was given a key to our room and scared the **** out of us. No apologies or acknowledgement from the hotel and of course our room keys didn't work the next morning and we had to let them know. We were fine, but startled and unimpressed.

Simple, stylish and on a lovely small park.

I loved my room. It was small but stylish and extremely comfortable with a wonderful mattress and pillows and some great touches such as a discreet reading light, a water kettle and a coffee maker
The red bathroom was also modern and efficient. The view on the Square and the quiet surroundings made my stay perfect. The only drawback for someone like me who uses the subway and RER from and to airports and train stations is the distance from the closest subway station. But I could not recommend enough is great hotel.

Great Option for Travelers to Paris!

This hotel was perfect for our husband and wife trip to Paris! The location is great, safe neighborhood to walk through at night which we did a few times, with lots of good food and drink options nearby. Close walking distance to metro also. The weather was so nice when we were there, we walked all the way to the 1st to the Louvre and it only took about 45 min. Friendly staff, great AC and for Paris not too small a room although the bathroom isn’t the biggest. Really comfortable beds!

This hotel was OK but the room was very small. While I'm used to small European hotels, this was the smallest I've ever seen, leaving very little room for suitcases. The A/C worked well when it was hot and the room was quiet. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good although options were limited. There are metro stations close by. I don't think this hotel should be considered four star. That's a bit of a stretch.

Great place to stay. Rooms are small as any other hotels’ would be in Paris. The rooms were clean, and front desk reps were really nice. Make sure you know and have charging converter from US to France. Also, if you’re into drinking water, look and buy lots of it, Europe apparently doesn’t drink water nor has public restrooms.

Nice convenient hotel - not great service

Cleanliness and comfort were satisfactory, and service at check in was pleasant - however service in the morning for breakfast was quite shocking. It does depend on the individual - but there was no acknowledgement about the 1am evacuation/fire alarm that had happened the night before, and not even a greeting or a goodbye as we arrived and left. There are only enough spaces at breakfast for maybe half of the guests so this isn't great planning on the hotel's part - you need to get there early or wait. We waited, but we had to search for some eye contact to be acknowledged that we were doing so, which when it came made us feel as though we were inconveniencing the receptionist.

Breakfast was outstanding, reception staff very helpful, and bed very comfortable. The amenities are very nice. However, elevator was so tiny that it fit only one person and very tightly one piece of luggage. Elevator stops at a landing with stairs to reach the rooms; the stairs are a problem with luggage. Overall, I was happy with my stay there and have recommended it to friends.

We are from Australia and stayed in this hotel in July 2018. Our son got very sick and staff in this hotel went out of their way to help. They contacted hospitals, ambulance and doctors when it was needed and acted as translators and advisors.

Hotel is not far away from CBC Paris. 15-20 minuts by Uber or Taxi. Affordable even in Euro.

Check in was easy. Hotel is very small, we were up one flight of winding stairs. Elevator is available it too is small, but was able to hold one person and 2 bags. Room was small but well appointed. Clean, nice towels, in-room coffee maker, no fridge, working AC, good Wi-fi. Provided breakfast was very good selection of pastry cereal, eggs, meat. Check out was easy. Apart from being small no real complaints other than the price... it was expensive. The neighbourhood is nice with cafes and bars close by, as well as grocery stores. Close to several metro lines which is convenient.

Beautiful covenient location close to St. Ambroise metro. Across the street from a lovely little park that's popular local families. Of particular importance, my sister in law left her laptop in the room at checkout. The staff worked extra hard to track her down to get it back to her. I would highly recommend this hotel in the 11th arrondissement.

I think the location of the property was great. We could walk to many of the places we wanted to visit in Paris. Their communication process can be improved. My original booking was for July15 - July 19. When I realized that I would be arriving a day earlier than I originally thought,I contacted the hotel and was advised that there would be no problem. However, when I arrived on July 14 after 11 pm, there was no reservation for that night. I had copies of the communication on my phone and, thankfully, the front desk person was able to find a room for me. The cost was more and I needed to move to the original reserved room the next day.

I booked this hotel on expedia because it appeared to be a fantastic hotel. It was noted as including breakfast and had airport transfers noted as special note. I contacted the hotel before hand and was told airport transfer was 74 euros. Expedia showed check in at 1. Hotel has check in at 2. The hotel is very small with elevators servicing two floors so you then have to walk up or down very narrow stairs to your floor. No help with bags. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Can hear conversations outside door quite clearly. Overall not a great experience.

Location is unique and by a beautiful neighborhoody park but overall the stay was disappointing. Extremely small rooms, small bed, overwhelming Febreeze smell throughout the hotel and room. Elevator small and doesn’t go to the floors with rooms so you still have to carry luggage down a tiny winding staircase. Was met with a disinterested and unhelpful hotel receptionist who seemed annoyed to discuss the subway map. Will not be staying here again and definitely not 4 stars.

One reception lady had bad manners. Not very welcoming. She spoke in monotone. I brought down a laundry bag for cleaning and she told me I had to tick off on the form what I was washing. I ended up not doing the laundry service, but she could have told me there was an option on the form for one bag of assorted laundry items... Also was supposed to have a room with a view and it was just a wall across the hotel.

Charming hotel, great neighborhood

I enjoyed everything about this hotel. The staff were friendly and patient with my dreadful French (and did not begrudge me speaking English), the breakfast pastries were delicious, and I like the area very much. Not too touristy, but an easy Metro ride to wherever we wanted to go.
The only thing I missed a bit was having a bathtub, but space is at a premium everywhere and I was not under the illusion that I would have one. There might be a more expensive room there that does.

Friendly and great front desk hostess

The daytime hostess at the front desk was very professionally, friendly, and helpful. This is a great hotel for you if you need English speaking staff to help you(like us, who don’t know or can’t province any French). The neighborhood is quiet and it’s cafes are very welcoming to the hotel’s tourists. The location is close to the metro line that you need for Disneyland and Paris train Station East. It is also a short half hour walk or cheap taxi to Norte Dame.

Worst hotel in Paris?

Worst stay in any Paris Hotel. This is not a 4* Hotel. In any way. The breakfast area is virtually the reception, it gets noisy and the breakfast they serve is pathetic. You would need to ask them repeatedly for simple things (like bread) and it takes them 30 minutes to do anything. The ventilation system does not work (or perhaps it works too well) as you can sense cigarette smoke all day in the room and in the morning you can smell the toast (even if we lived at the 4th floor). The service is poorly, with no willingness to compensate for anything (e.g. not cleaning the rooms adequately) and the only compensation was that they offered to not charge the city tax. This is based on 4 nights' nightmare at this establishment which I am safe to say I will never revisit.

Nice and safe neighborhood close to Metro but hotel room is very cramp. Elevator egress is on the landing so you have to carry your luggage over the remaining stairs. This is our first time in Paris so I understand that this may be typical here. Room is clean but breakfast has few options.

I had a lovely stay at the Gardette Park Hotel. It is very central to the sites of Paris and close to about 3 different metro lines. The room had a great view of the square and the bed was very comfortable. One of the best features of this hotel is the decor of the room which is a refreshing change from what you see in standard hotels.

The staff were very friendly and helpful - even though my French is terrible!

I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel the next time I will be in Paris.

4 days without hot water

Hotel is clean and rooms are larger than most for this price. The hotel's hot water system stopped working on the second day and remained so for 4 days. Finally on the 3rd day we were invited to use the shower in a neighbouring hotel 200m down the road. The situation was very frustrating because the night staff didn't speak English and nobody offered an apology. Also it was -5 degrees outside. In the end we were refunded 50% of our stay.
Day time staff were helpful, when we finally crossed paths with them. Upon checkout however the staff told us we should be very happy with ourselves for having got a discount. He said that we are young, and therefore we shouldn't have complained so much about the lack of water... they gave us a discount but they made us feel bad for it. No grace at all.

Terrible experience. No hot water and a faulty door lock. There was a boiler breakdown which meant a cold shower or nothing after my 20 hours trip. I couldn't lock my room when going out. There was repeated power cuts. The management obviously had no emergency planning. They left it to the receptionist and an older lady to deal with the crisis. Got a 40 Euro compensation....

Hotel with a Park

A safe little hotel with a sunny park. I stayed for a couple of weeks at the Gardette Park Hotel exploring everywhere in Paris by foot. Within an hours walking from the Gare du Nord train station (train from the airport) the hotel offers a friendly retreat. The rooms are kept fresh and clean and there is a breakfast area on the ground floor. The staff all seemed to understand my English which is so relieving given my French. The room has a tv, phone, kettle and the free wifi worked great.
Rooms stairs and lift could be considered a little small, however the comfortable bed and clean bathroom provide for basic needs. The shower was hot and the fresh daily towels perfect for the worn-out traveler as was the changed bedding. There is a closet with a few hangers and a safe for valuables. My favourites were the old water heater, great for drying out socks, and the hot red tiled bathroom. The added bonus of a small veranda on my room was awesome with a park across the road.
I never actually stopped for a breakfast but it did look and smell yummy as I walked past each morning. There was always someone at reception no matter what time I left or returned and they were always helpful with my questions.
The main attractions in Paris are each about an hours... walk from the hotel with the metro and bus just a couple of short blocks away. Heaps of cafes in the area with the Salt restaurant across the road serving a awesome degustation for dinner.
So overall a great stay.

Hotel Gardette Park was perfect for our 8 day visit to Paris. Nice neighborhood near all public transportation, great cafes, bakeries and grocery stores. The staff was amazingly nice and helpful. They all spoke English and made our stay very enjoyable. Rooms are a little small but that seems to be the norm in Paris. Overall a very nice place.

Yuri is the Best!

We stayed here for 3 nights with friends. It is very comfortable and convenient. Yuri at the Front desk is most helpful with guidance on map about area for restaurants, metro and sights. On our own we found Les Antiquaires cafe/brasserie at 13 Rue Du Bac. Had wonderful meals, drinks and fun with Matthew & Louise. Also enjoyed meals at Vertigo at 18 Rue Lacharriere. Both are walkable from the hotel.
The breakfast at the hotel is very nice, too. They are very attentive to its presentation.

The Gardette park hotel was about 3.5km from the Louvre so expect to use the metro to get about. The hotel was very nice....room was clean modern and exactly as described. Only point I would make is that if you are a solo traveller looking for quiet then expect families and children who will make noise that may disturb your stay....not the end of the world but worth knowing.

Friendly, pleasant

The staff was friendly and pleasant. I was able to check in a few hours early, which made a big difference after a ten hour flight to Paris. The room was small but clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel with own charm character. Friendly and helpful staff. The receptionist was amazing very helpful. Good accommodation with tea making facilities, very comfortable bed, no traffic noise from night open window. Internet works well. Clean and nice.
The hotel is near bus stops, which take you to louvre and other visiting places. Walking distance to few underground station for your choice of destination, restaurants , bars, small shops. Residential location. Near Bastille, Republique, Pere Lachaise

Nice hotel, short walk to metro

Nice hotel not far from the metro, making travelling around the city fairly easy. The stairs can be quite daunting, especially if you're on a higher floor, as the spiral staircase is steep and rather narrow. The elevator is very small, fitting only one person and their luggage at a time, and it ascends very slowly, so if you have multiple people or many bags, getting to your room will take a few trips. Otherwise, the rooms are nice, the continental breakfast offered is good value, and overall the experience was fairly good.

Second time staying here. Nice Hotel overlooking small park. Short walk from metro. Good area with plenty of restaurants and great artisan bakery within 5 minute walk.
