Great location easy to reach many places voti walking and by metro.
The hotel is a fair 3 star Hotels, lack of amenities in the room which make it a real 4 star hotel.
On top during our stay the lift was out of order and it was really a pain. I would have expected at least a discount for this reason. The staff at the reception was very kind, the room was clean but staff not super attentive considering that we had asked to refill the body shower.
A fair value for money overall

This is a very nice hotel with a welcoming lobby, and a comfortable lounge area. The staff is very helpful and friendly. My room and the bathroom were very clean. The temperature was perfect, and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend the Mercure Paris Bastille Marais.

Spacious room, great shower. Lots of nice touches eg robe and slippers, vanity kits. Room kept clean by staff but also they don’t come in too early which was nice. Staff so friendly, especially the gentleman on Sunday evening who got us plates and napkins for our late night takeaway, little things like that make such a difference. Endless supply of coffee and fresh water. Metro across the road, friendly cafes next door and across the road, highly recommend

We stayed at this hotel for four nights. The room was small and there was no shelving or drawers to unpack a suitcase. The one chair was situated in the closet which we had to move to open the suitcase rack. All that said, the location was great with choices of patisseries, restaurants and shopping for necessities. A metro stop was just outside the door.The staff were friendly and helpful. Next time I would book a larger room.

Average hotel and rooms a bit dated. Sustainability is mentioned in terms of giving you a refillable water bottle but then the room doesn't come with mugs and guests must drink a cup of tea out of a tiny disposable cup. Curtain is coming off the rail. Our room was an unusual layout being wheelchair accessible. Lobby is not welcoming at all.

I rates this property low due to the photos online the representation of the rooms is different than in person. The shower wouldn’t hold the water in so the bathroom floors got soaking wet, took a bunch of towels to clean up which we had to go get ourselves.

The bed is not comfortable, it’s like 1 spring the entire thing moves whenever someone moves. The pillows are awful, and the noise travels quite easily.

The transportation from this location is extremely good, easy to get into town, but we booked here because of the rooms and we were excited and were let down, I wish I booked closer to town instead of going off the photos

We stayed for 3 nights at the start of August 2023, room on the 4th floor, very comfy beds and pillows, very clean, fridge and our air con worked well. A good modern safe, bathroom was clean, modern and a powerful shower head. Nuxe toiletries.
We didn't have breakfast here, the metro station Voltaire is right outside of the hotel, I think it's in a good location, very friendly hotel staff, nice receptionists. For 3 nights we paid €17 city tax for 2 people. The room isn't even that small!
The 'double' bed was 2 singles pushed together, however this didn't bother us.
I would definitely stay here next time we come to Paris!!!

Mercure was wonderful, they provided umbrellas to utilize on a rainy day and the complimentary drinks in the mini fridge that go refilled nearly every day was a great touch. We got a privileged room which was very large and nice. The water pressure in the showers was also very nice for showering.

Very Cozy Hotel ! Lighting just the way i like it
The Breakfast Lady is the most Fluffy and Service Oriented lady i’ve ever met at an Hotel !
Food is warm and So good !
Hotel room space is just enough for a short stay
I was surprised about its surroundings , very optimized and cool !
Would repeat it whenever i visit Paris and it’s surroundings
Also note that the check-in and Check-out took exactly 2 minutes ;)

This property was clean, updated and well staffed. The space was smaller than I am used to in the US but I am learning. The property was close to laundry, food, and public transportation. The breakfast was included and it was a very nice mix of fruit, yogurt, pancakes, oatmeal, muffins, juice and hot beverages. I would like to stay here again.

A great stay at this hotel! Located right next to the metro stop and the rooms were very big in comparison to other Paris hotels which are often very small. Staff are very friendly and the receptionist/manager was very kind and spoke in French and English to me at my request. Great location and we felt very safe. We only stayed one night but had a great time. If I return to Paris I will come back to this hotel.

I had to book this place super last minute because my original hotel had bed bugs. I wish I had booked this place from the start! It immediately felt safer, cleaner, and more welcoming. Very Pleasnt Stay at a Very Nice Hotel

We had a very pleasant stay at this very pleasante hotel. The hotel is well appointed; the staff is very friendly and helpful; the breakfast buffet is fine. Our only complaint abut the room was the lack of shelves or drawers to put clothes that do not require a hanger. The hotel is located very near the number 9 metro line and a number of bus lines, but is not near any of the major tourist attractions.

This was our second stay at this hotel and we will happily stay thee again if we make another trip to Paris.

Bad way to start a vacation

The staff was incredibly rude upon arrival. There was a technical error when booking the two rooms, one was for 2 guests and the second was for 3 guests (2 adults and 1 child). The hotel claimed they only had 2 rooms for 2 guests and that we had to pay a difference, which was fine except for the fact that the second room wasn't even ready to begin with (as they had a late checkout) so despite the \"error\", they should have been a little more accommodating considering the room was not ready at check in time.

Great hotel in a good location with lovely staff.

Virtually on top of exit 3 of Voltaire Metro station, this hotel was perfect for us. Our room was generously proportioned and the pull out bed was excellent for my 8 year old daughter.

The staff were superb and check-in was easy.

We chose not to take breakfast at the hotel but ate at the many cafes closeby. There is a McDonalds too if that’s your thing.

The toiletries in the room were ok but we brought our own anyway and the hairdryers are nice and powerful.

Will definitely stay here again if we return to Paris.

Recently refurbed hotel by Voltaire Metro Paris

Recently refurbed, modern, clean, new interior - flawless. All kindly, friendly reception staff. However on day 2 of a 3 night stay we requested an additional shampoo and a shower gel refill. End of the day had not been done and they said no access to cleaner’s facilities. For a Mercure, at c.£80 a night for edge of town, pretty rubbish to have one small shampoo for 2 people for 3 nights. Plus a shower gel dispenser running empty and certainly not enough for 2 people for 3 nights. A single 500ml bottle of Evian was in the room on day 1. Never replenished. Some tea bags, no biscuits. 2 paper napkins - never replenished. The stinginess was unprecedented and jarred with the smart interior and approachable, helpful staff (apart from not passing on message to cleaner). Either provide things and top up or have the facility spartan from day 1. Not in line with the Mercure name.
Location just by Voltaire station. 20min walk to amazing cemetery. Famous landmarks much further. Walking shoes do the job! Bus to Gare du Nord goes around the houses in about 45 mins 2 euros. Metro much quicker. A good hotel in many respects, just don’t expect any frills.

Lovely, very clean hotel. Friendly staff and good food selection for breakfast, so worth paying for. Location was good, next to metro and bus stops. For a 4 star hotel they could have had proper cups placed in the rooms, instead of plastic ones, for tea and coffee making, but generally the room did not upset, enough space for two people. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at this hotel for our anniversary, and while the staff is great... our stay was not. Every morning it sounded like there was a tea kettle whistling every five minutes in someone else’s room; not sure if this was from the water pipes as our room was near the stairwell. On the last morning we could hear the phone ringing multiple times from a room nearby which served as a very unwanted wake up call. Breakfast was ok but never replenished when we went down to eat, so I suggest going early. Additionally, there is one elevator. We normally stay at a W, Westin, etc. but love boutique hotels as well. The room size was fairly small, but that was expected. Everything was clean and in good condition as well.

Breakfast buffet is excellent! Location is very near to Voltaire metro station. Room is a little too small but the bed is comfortable. If you have a lot of things / luggage with you there will be not enough space for you to move around the room. Toilet is also a little too small. The room is also not sound proof so noise from the outside can be heard and vice versa. Overall i would still book this hotel in my future visit to Paris.

First impressions of the hotel as we walked in was great very pleaseing to the eye in the reception area, staff was very helpful An helped us with anything we needed or wanted. When we went to our room the Decor An cleanliness was good but it was very small we stayed there for 4 days An it was a tight squeeze with our luggage there was nowhere to really store anything An it was a lot smaller than my bedroom at home, I think this room would of been good for 1 person but with the two of us it was a bit of a nightmare. We didn’t eat in the hotel but it always smelt nice as we walked by, overall we had a great time An didn’t really spend much time in our room. Thank you to all the staff that worked there they was great help.

Great hotel in a great location

My partner and I went to Paris for a short weekend break. The Mercure Bastille Marais hotel was very well located by Volatire Metro station and easy to get to all the sights. There are several good restaurants near the hotel. The rooms are a bit small but clean and in good condition. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Yes the rooms are small by American standards but the way I saw it, it's a place to just sleep when you're not enjoying the sites of Paris. The bed could have been a bit softer. Ordered breakfast one morning and it was great. Had a room over looking the courtyard. The only thing is I wish there were drawers for clothes. Also, didn't find this until the last day Monoprix is like French target. Go there to grab drinks and snacks for the room. So many great restaurants near by. Close to the Metro which is amazing compared to NYC subway and so easy to navigate.

Not a 4 star hotel, but clean and good breakfast

This was a small hotel with good buffet breakfast. Based on the North American standards, it should have been rated 3 star for the size and services offered. However, overall it was ok. The rooms were small but clean.

Great value for money. Friendly staff. In a thriving busy quarter of Paris next to a metro. Would definitely recommend!
