A very simple hotel in the Bastille. Our room was clean and served our needs. The metro was right at the end of the street and there were a lot of shops and places to eat. It's absolutely fine for the price you pay. Staff was super friendly.

Motel vibes, definitely not a 3 star hotel... Whole lobby under renovation, wasn't informed of it when I booked, only got a message a few days before checking in, mentioning some minor renovation in the reception area. This hotel claims to be a 3 star hotel, and got nothing remotely close to it. Rooms are very basic, old, and actually in need for a make over too. No complimentary water was offered. On our first night we couldn't sleep as there was some terrible noise coming from the ventilation in bathroom all night. This room should never be offered to any guest!!! We were offered another room the next day with a better setting but still in need of renovation and styling (plastic chair, very sad woodden cupboard in bathroom, only basic liquid soap and no little extras in bathroom). On a positive note, Stephane at reception was very professional and helpful.

Friendly greeting in the 11th

We arrived early. The man at the desk couldn’t have been friendlier. We checked into a small room with a large window that opened from the 6th floor overlooking the busy street below. Overall I give this hotel high marks. It has great value for the price & the staff makes you feel special. Also, very good location. Love the 11th.

Most people wouldn't apprecite this hotel but I do for a number reasons. Th service is outstanding. While there is no air conditioning (open the windows and smell and feel Parisian air!) and it is small, it has French charm. The nieghborhood is safe and familiar. And while I can stay almsot anywhere in Paris, I keep coming back here.

Booked twin room, got 1 bed

Booked a twin room specifying 2 seperate beds. Upon check-in, we find a double bed.

The hotel man on desk told us this was the only room left. He was polite and apologetic but this still leaves the problem.

Very poor communication in this regard. This is unfair to hotels that offer a double room for less but were honest enough to list it as a double (not as a twin like this place does). Careless at best, fraudulent at worst.

Clenliness of the room was only just acceptable. Bathroom was grungy and had lots of mold in vent. TV was broken.

For over £100/night, I would have expected better. At least the location is good.

I love this hotel but it isn't for everyone. There is no air conditioning and it is small. But that's what I like about it. I can open the windows and breathe the Parisian air winter summer or fall whenever I choose to stay there. And the neighborhood supports my interests.

Good location with very close to Metro train station, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good. Will rate excellent for front desk and breakfast service staff and hotel location. We met with Europe heatwave during our visit. Will be great if there was AC or cooler and cold water dispenser or a refrigerator in room or ice making machine in the hotel. But we managed well with the fan provided by hotel and keeping our window open at night... and requesting front desk staff to store our water bottles in breakfast pantry room refrigerator. Thanks for the nice stay and kudos to all staff members.

Pros: The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood with all necessities around: a cheese shop, a wine shop, supermarket, coffee shop, bakery, etc. Extremely convenient. A nice stroll takes you to the Place de Bastille, and the subway station is just across the street.
Very good wifi, very pleasant front desk staff. We got a room with a balcony which was nice.
Cons: As it sometimes happens, pictures look nicer than reality. The room had a bit of disheveled feeling, with parts of the plaster on the walls falling apart, old plastic coffee cups, etc.
We had an accident with condensation from the windows: the curtains were soaked with dew and there was a puddle on the floor in the morning which unfortunately reached to my backpack which was all wet, but fortunately did not ruined my laptop… So just be aware of how physics work in the rooms 😊

I really liked that everyday the room was cleaned, the only thing the hotel needs a proper refurb.
The bathroom was full with stains, toilet as well really old and used condition, was a bit disgused to use it. The reception ladies never greeted apart from the reception gentlemen, he was amazing and I could feel that he really loves his job.I'm happy to give him lots of credit, he does your hotel much better.

The room itself was fine. The pictures make it look much better than it is though. There were 3 if us and while the listing said 3 beds, it didn’t note that one was a pull out bed. So it wasn’t comfortable. But it was nice that the room came with 2 full bathrooms. The shower door was not very clean since there were water stains in both bathrooms. It didn’t feel very clean. There was no air conditioning, just fans, which was quite uncomfortable. Not ceiling fans, the kind you buy for $25. I believe it was because it was about a week Fashion Week and we needed a room at the last minute, the rate was ridiculous and we payed well over what they normally charge. BUT, I didn’t catch his name, but the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and friendly. He offered a lot of help with getting to sites and things to do. The location is great. Easy access to the subway.

Web site has this hotel waking distance to down town, not true, walking distance to the train. Bed was unpleasant at best, no AC a very hot stay.

A nice little hotel in an area that is still very Parisian without chain stores or chain restaurants and yet close to the centre. The staff were very nice, the room was spotless and , although a single , big enough for 2. I regard this as a lovely find as I go to Paris often to DJ and this was perfect. Great bistros , great cafes and bars nearby and as i usually only sleep and get ready in the hotel it was perfect.

I had a business meeting close by as the reason for selecting to stay for a night. Rating by expedia appeared to be met. Rue de charonne is a narrower secondary through road. Quiet location. The hotel could use some cosmetic work outside and the front desk could also use a touch up. The young man manning the desk smoked. Good value nevertheless. Not in a hot tourist zone.

A most pleasant experience - beginning with check-in. Because of my flight schedule, I arrived at the hotel about 9:30 A.M. - far ahead of normal check-in time. They not only let me check in, but also get breakfast, which they held open for me. All of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, but I must especially commend the young man on duty when I arrived quite late after an opera performance. I had fallen and injured my shoulder at the opera, and the receptionist prepared an icepack and offered a pain reliever - far beyond the normal call of duty.

The hotel location is perfect with many restaurants and supermakets.
The subway station is at 2 minutes from the hotel.
My room was nice and comfortable with a coffee machine.
They refill the coffee each day.
The household is made daily.

We arrive early, but our room was ready. We had a balcony, which was very nice since there is no AC, but there is a fan. It's a bit hot in the summer heat in Paris, but we knew before going there. The location is very close to a metro stop, and there are nearby stores and groceries which was very helpful. The room is on the smaller size, but we were in Paris, and we didn't really use it much except to sleep at night. The bathroom was nice and clean. We felt safe and comfortable.

The staff was super nice, the rooms are small but comfy, we had a room facing their green courtyard which meant there was no street noise and nice fresh air and green view with the windows open. The street has tons of restaurants and bakeries around, it is not a touristy area so get to be surrounded by real working Parisiens, half a block from the metro. Easy walk to Marais and further in. Definitely recommend!

great value in a nicely 'real' are of Paris with upcoming feel: great cocktail bar opposite and supermarket almost next door. We were upgraded to a room with bath and it was much more spacious than trendier hotels nearby. The staff were exceptionally helpful and dealt with a genuine emergency at night on the floor above with great professionalism.

Small rooms with mold on the ceiling. very small showers. Staff is nice. I found it strange that the guests had to turn their room keys in whenever they left the building and retrieve them upon their return. Not having a microwave and mini refrigerator made it a less pleasant experience. Probably wouldn't stay here again

An excellent base from which to explore ..

We enjoyed a lovely few days thanks to a welcoming and efficient base to fall back on. In a place the size of Paris, nowhere is exactly central but the nearby metro station and 2 bus routes are handy for going just about anywhere. There are restaurants and bistros within a few minutes' walk and the hotel staff are very willing to point you in the right direction.

Large rooms (in Paris) in a great location!

A great hotel for the price, location, and staff. We got lucky with a balcony on the 4th (3rd in French) floor and enjoyed the amazing breakfast. It's not free breakfast but it's worth it if you want to fill up in the morning. Our hotel room was also larger than normal for Paris hotels which are usually quite cramped.

Classics Hotel Paris Bastille

Hotel room very clean and modern. Shower worked and their was a room safe! We actually left out some valuables one day and they where untouched on our return. Highly recommend the hotel. Just note that it is a a good 20min walk or a 3 min bus ride from the Bastille turnabout where you can pick up the Hop on Hop off bus.

This small hotel in the Bastille region of Paris is very well located, just a small block away from the Metro and in the midst of a nice and lively neighborhood. It's price is reasonable and the services provided more than adequate. The staff are efficient, the rooms clean though, as in most three-star hotels, small. It is a good value for the price.
