A very decent stay, not much to complain about. There was a coffee machine that worked very well but no coffee filters and it seems silly to buy a new package for every stay. The apartment doors are quite noisy, so you can hear all the other guests going to get breakfast. But all in all, good experience

Excellent location—very close proximity to the Philippe Auguste metro stop, line 2. Very helpful and friendly staff. My room was well appointed and recently updated. Great price! Note there is no air conditioning but there was a fan in my room and three huge windows. The weather was cold and rainy during my visit, so I can’t speak to how comfortable one would be during hot weather. Feedback on two items: shelves or drawers needed to put clothes and the fan needed a deep clean. I had my clothes folded and placed on most of the flat surfaces in the room. If it was hot enough to use the fan, I would have notified the front desk to clean it or replace it before I would use it. This property had a significant impact on how much I enjoyed my stay in Paris!

Such a great stay! We had a lovely apartment with a fabulous view of Père Lachaise. It was enough room for us and our two teens. The kitchen was well stocked and there was a table for four to eat at. The neighborhood was so quiet and had almost no tourists. Metro stop was super close and plenty of dining and grocery options!

Wonderful Extended Paris Stay!

We were in Paris for two weeks and always wanted to rent an apartment for two weeks near Pere Lachaise cemetery. This place certainly fit the bill. We had a small studio apartment with a kitchenette that we found very useful as we made our breakfast each morning and saved money not spent on this hotel’s breakfast offering.
Our room had a queen size bed, breakfast table, desk and a TV. No drawers to put clothes except in the closet.
This hotel was two blocks from the Phillip Auguste Metro stop that we found very convenient in getting around. There are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance.
Overall a pleasant place to stay!

It was very pleasant, super clean. Quite far from any of the main sights in Paris. Although we managed getting around by using the lime scooter app. Staff were friendly and there was a nice continental breakfast. Very spacious room with kettle, stove and fridge. Although our stove and fridge didn’t really work. I imagine that was just our room. Didn’t really affect us either way.

My family had a great stay at the Aparthotel Adagio. The location is perfect, close to the metro and several stores (bakery, laundry, grocery). The front desk staff were very kind and gave my daughter the frog toy displayed by the front desk that she really liked. Some of the rooms could use some updates as some walls show peeling paint and there are some mold spots in the bathrooms. However, the value and the location are great.

The “property” was outstanding for budget minded people like us. The two of us stayed there 9 days in a relatively large studio apartment-style room with walk-in bathroom and well stocked kitchenette. No AC but we were there over New Years. Location was excellent: a short block from the metro, a supermarket, a green grocer, and, best of all, a pastry and bread shop. Also a block from the entrance to the Père Lachaise Cemetery, which we loved but probably wouldn’t have visited otherwise. They offer a breakfast for a fee but we just stocked up on bread and cheese, etc. and made our own coffee in the supplied 10 cup coffee maker. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay there again.

Nice little place off the beaten track.

They held our bags until we were able to check in on Saturday while we explored the area. The fridge made it very easy to pick stuff for breakfast. Has a bakery and a couple of good bars and restaurants nearby. Like maybe a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel. The folks in the local area were quite friendly and seemed to enjoy practicing their English with us.

Overall it was a good experience

We had a studio and the apartment was surprisingly spacious and didn't feel cramped. The location was very good and very close to the metro station. The only surprising thing was that there was no cleaning or towel changes for the whole 3 nights we were there. In the past when we stayed at other Adagios, it was very much like a hotel where cleaning was done everyday for short stays like ours. A pleasant surprise was to have free hot drinks from the machine from midday until 21.00. This meant we could pop in during the day and be refreshed.

These apartments consist of a double bed (or two singles beside each other) with en suite shower (over bath) / toilet and a kitchenette (two electric rings, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, sink, enough pans, crockery and cutlery). No kettle. Free tea/coffee from noon till 9pm in reception. We didn't bother paying for breakfast as there are supermarkets and boulangerie within 5 mins walk. No air-con.
Location is very convenient for metro (line 2) and cemetry Pere Lachaise which is worth a visit.
Welcome was friendly and they quickly changed one of our rooms that hadn't been cleaned. Check-out was nice and quick.

The hotel is quite accessible via metro and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the furniture was not what I was expecting. On the first night i unfolded the couch bed and as soon as I laid on it, a spring came out. The furniture overall is quite old and needs an update. The room we had was also at street level so whenever someone walked passed you can hear their conversation.

The apartment was in a good location with 3mins walk to the nearest Metro Station (Philippe August station). The staff was very friendly and helpful and I think it makes a difference when we were staying there. The condition of the apartment was ok and good for a short stay. I recommend it if you are out and about most of the time and getting to Metro station is important to you.

We choice Aparthotel Adagio because is kitchen use, but it was so much more. Our diets are very health conscious with steamed vegetable and salads with no oil. Eating out during the day is not an option. This room kitchen was well equiped for our needs, plus the neighborhood was off a Main Street so it was extremely quiet. Each staff person was friendly and helpful. And it was a modestly priced with not one speck of mold or dirt. Could not have been happier. Great visit

The hotel was genuinely clean and the staff did speak english. The door has a code to get in and there is always someone at the front desk in to buzz you in when you first arrive. I like this security feature. Only two things concerned me. When we arrived I had read that they would hold our bags for us until check in and after we checked out. At first they put our bags in the reception area behind a door where their desk is. When we came back that evening to check in our bags had been put in the corner where people eat breakfast out in the open and the same happened when we check out. Nothing was missing but it was around the corner from the receptionist. There is no way they could have seen any one take them or get in them. The second concern is is that there were very few comforts. It took us almost two days two get to france. when we got in our room is could have used some updates but the bed was pretty hard and we had two very small pillows. We were so tired from not sleeping for days & this was a disappointment. The shower was also small and slightly awkward. I feel like the pictures they put on the website arent truly close to the one we got. This hotel was nice enough for our stay. All we did was shower and sleep. The tv didnt work and the safe was missing a battery make it useless. We could have asked for a battery I'm sure. Very close to the metro Philipe Auguste. Dont recommend being out at night in this neighboorhood too much or early in the morning.

we arrived and were given a twin room and not the double we had asked for, there was no kettle in the room and when I asked I was told to use the microwave, this was variable at best and fairly useless for cooking anything as were the two hotplate or warm plates would be a better description. Breakfast which we opted for on the first day was acceptable. The curtains fell down on the first night and it took 2 days for them to fix, on the third day the toilet seat fell apart. We asked for extra pillows, these were given in a bag, on opening they were both stained with no pillowcases, so again I had to go and ask. We were told that we would have to pay extra to have the room cleaned, strange as if you were there 1-3 or over 8 days this was free, 4-7 was extra? Lighting was with low wattage bulbs and I struggled to read at night. We spent the week either eating out or salads as it was not really possible to cook, as this was supposed to be a studio flat with cooking facilities we feel its not good enough. The bath was small and the over bath shower was just about adequate, towels were small and rough.

Great place to stay in Paris for a few days

Lovely staff who were all very helpful. Good location 50m from the Metro. A number of Bakeries nearby as well as Supermarkets etc. Cooking Facilities are basic but more than enough to make Breakfast, Lunch, etc.
We had an apartment, which gave us a Sofa Bed and Dining Table in the Living Room and a separate Bedroom. TV's in both rooms (only BBC and USA News channels in English, although I came prepared with a Media player and a USB Drive full of Movies which worked fine on both TV's). We didn't hear any noise from other Rooms at all, which is a bugbear of mine.
Best nearby Bars were The Piston Pelican and Cafe D'oliver (I'm fairly sure that was the name....if you pass out the left turn for Piston Pelican it's about the 4th premises on your right).
The Cemetery Pere Lachaise beside the Hotel is well worth a visit. A lot of famous Graves, as well as a fascinating look at Parisian History.
We stayed for 4 nights and were more than happy with both the Hotel and the general area. Although it's seems quite residential, once you walk a block on any road towards the City Centre there are a huge range of Bars, Cafes and Restaurants to choose from. Even though the Hotel's address is in the 20th arr it is only a 3 minute walk to the 11th arr.
It is definitely one of the better 'Budget' Hotels in Paris. Without mentioning Prices it cost about the same as a one-room Air BnB....without the hassle (and risk of last-minute cancellation).

Nice but...

What I liked best was having the small kitchenette for light meals. The studio was comfortable but a little dated. I like to read in bed but I couldn't because of poor lighting! I was there for 9 days. There are NO laundry facilities in the hotel. It became apparent that transportation was going to be an issue for me because of the location. No nearby bus connection. The metro was always a complicated transfer process to get to many tourist areas, except Montmartre was direct on line 2. I spent a lot of money on taxis -- until they went on strike my last day and then I had a major complication getting to CDG. Next time in Paris I will stay closer to a transportation hub.

An ok Hotel room at a good price for Paris it is a bit far out probably takes half an hour to 40 minutes to get in to the centre of Paris but that don't worry us. Very close to metro and a well-stocked supermarket a bonus having a little kitchenette in the room and that the shower was a good size and powerful Very strange rules for cleaning which are.get the room cleaned because we stayed over three days Very helpful staff who posted on my sister's credit card after she left behind overall a good budget hotel.

My wife and I spent 10 nights in this hotel and were delighted with our accommodation. The Aparthotel Adagio Access Philippe Auguste is literally 1 minute from the Philippe Auguste Metro station and is close to Pere Lachaise Cemetery - a popular attraction in Paris.
We were late in arriving but there was someone at the desk to check us in. Our room was spacious and clean, and complete with a television with channels in many languages including English. As you would expect there was a small kitchen area complete with microwave oven and an adequate supply of cutlery and crockery. Although there was no kettle in the room it was a simple matter to boil water for a coffee using the microwave oven.
Having read other reviews we were apprehensive about buying the breakfast in the small dining area. However, after sampling this on our first morning we decided to take breakfast in the hotel every morning. It was perfectly adequate and made for a stress-free start to the day. An excellent supermarket can be found no more than five minutes from the hotel. Here you can purchase pretty well anything you are likely to need during your stay.
Given our proximity to the centre of Paris and the cleanliness of all aspects of this hotel I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this hotel to anyone looking for good value accommodation in the French capital.

Great for the metro stop, and one can walk into Paris in 30mins. Our apartment rooms were spacious and although it lacked the finishing touches (mirror on the wall, chest of drawers for underwear) it was perfectly clean and tidy. The kitchenette is fine for breakfast but cooking a three course dinner for 4 whilst possible could be fraught - the area is very compact. Our room overlooked Pere Lachaise and was on the whole quiet, but being above the reception area meant we did hear the early morning hotel deliveries. Plenty of towels, and the linen was new. Overall very good value for money. The staff were very friendly and professional.

A pleasant, airy, quite large room with cute little kitchen. An elevator was a plus. Very near metro stops and beautiful Pere Lachaise Cemetiere. Decent breakfast for extra price. For women traveling alone, be aware it is down a quiet street, but only about a block from main street. Also, there are no night staff.

Quiet neighbours

Travelled here in August; family of three plus mother in law makes four, two of whom were obliged to sleep on a surprisingly decent sofabed.

Due to not reading the fine print carefully, we were chagrined to learn that our four night stay put us in the category of "does not get fresh towels every day," which required us to beg the front desk. However, they were quite obliging in that regard and did not charge us, perhaps due to our earnest though doubtless pathetic attempts to speak French. (NB. In general, vendors in France do speak English for the sake of the traveler, but they appreciate attempts to actually step outside the comfort zone and parlez-vous to whatever extent we can manage.

It was great being able to make modest but gratifyingly inexpensive meals. There are a couple of supermarche nearby for the creation of said meals, a bakery, small cafes and so on.

Unlike the touristy parts of Paris, the Phillipe Auguste does not contain a high ratio of English speakers, so do prepare yourself in advance to speak practical French, or at least develop your miming skills.

Very basic, try to lower your expectations

You need to have very low expecations in order to appreciate this hotel. The amenities were very basic. The only thing you could cook in the "kitchen" would be fried egg. The size of the appartement is ok by European standards, but the quality of furniture and fixtures is very low. The location was good. The subway / metro station just around the corner, however this specific metro line would not take you to any tourist attractions, so you would need to change the lines at least 2 times to get to any destination.

Located right next to Pere Lachaise cemetery. Entrance just 1/2 block from Phillipe Auguste metro, about 15 minute walk to either Republique or Nation metro, and about 30 minute or less walk to Hotel de Ville. Room was clean and had the amenities described. Very small shower and bathroom by American standards but for the price it was well worth it in a fairly central and safe Paris location. Could have used more lighting. We stayed for 4 days, so would have had to pay for room cleaning and towel exchange, etc. Didn't seem worth it. Breakfast didn't seem worth the price. The Boulangerie on the opposite corner (3 minutes away) has the best butter croissants I had in Paris. There are multiple grocery stores, brasserie, bars, cafes, and restauraunts within a 10 minute walk. I'd avoid the (overpriced) brasseries on Menilmontant street across from the cemetery. Staff was pleasant and spoke English well and helped us book taxis, confirm them, and provided directions and suggestions when asked.
Having said all this, I'm very happy with the value and the hotel itself.

Location was close to metro and buses. Seemed safe but off the beaten path. We had a wonderful meal at Mer LaChaise just down the street. Our room was ok. The bathroom door did not fully open....hit the sink. The room was dark which made reading difficult. Most puzzling was their rule on linens. If you stayed three nights or less, you could have fresh linens, but if you stayed more ( we were there 5 nights, you had to pay for fresh linens. We also know that there were rooms with a suite including a sofa for the same price. We felt that we paid too much for the service we received as well as the quality of the room.

The studio apartment was toooo small we kept bumping into each other & the shower don't even mention it. and the parking was not in the same location you had to drive three streets down and park the car in some apartment block's parking and walk back to accommodation . sooooo inconvenient.

I was looking for a moderately priced hotel in a safe neighborhood and close to the metro; in that respect this hotel is fine. The staff has been uniformly friendly as well.
The disappointment comes mostly from the terrible internet service, which was worse that non existent. Every evening I wait for hours to share vacation photos and get news from home. The internet will be working for 1-2 minutes then shut down for 5 seconds, or 30 minutes. Files in transit will be lost and have to start over. Again and again we re-send, hoping the folks back home can share our nice vacation in Paris. As I write these lines, the internet has disconnected twice already.
In addition to that, I have never stayed I a hotel where they go a week without cleaning the room. They don't provide new towels when they get wet or dirty. They don't even empty the trash in your room...
Lastly, we expected to have a tub to relax in but only have a tiny shower.

Now I realize, there are worse hotels in Paris...I've stayed in some. At least we have a private bath room.
My takeaway message is that our experience would be much improved by having fresh towels easily available, a maid tidy up the room and empty the trash every couple days and by their getting a reliable, high speed internet service! Those would cost the hotel very little; the lack of these implies that the hotel management is either lazy or not particularly interested in providing a good experience for their guests.

Second time we have stayed here. Easy to get to on Metro with supermarkets and boulangerie/ patisserie nearby. Pleasant helpful staff. Fairly well equipped studio bedroom with kitchen alcove. It was a good base for sightseeing. Hotel provides breakfast for an extra charge. There is a lift. We shall stay there again.

Great apartment, easy to get around Paris.

When we arrived at the hotel after a thirty hour journey from Australia, we were relieved to finally get there only to be told that there was a problem with our room! This could have been very upsetting but the staff went out of there way making us alternate arrangements. We were taken by free taxi to the other Adagio at Montmarte. The room they gave us was beautiful and very large. Then a free taxi back the next day when we were ready. So we got to explore Montmarte. Fantastic!
The hotel staff were all lovely and helpful. The room was clean and quite big enough for the three of us, having the sofabed already made up was lovely. I was travelling with my two daughters and always felt very safe at the hotel and in the neighbourhood. An electric jug would be the only improvement I would like to see. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

OK, They charge extra for room service or towels!!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The room was clean. But after receiving no room cleaning service after two days, we asked front desk and they claimed that we should pay 15 euro for each day cleaning. They said if we just want cleaning paper and towel we should pay 5 euro per day. This is ridiculous. I have never seen such a thing. They also gave us a paper claiming that we should empty our trash bins ourself otherwise we will receive fine!!! The neighborhood was OK, was quiet, and sometimes was so dead. Metro station was close.

Hotel was acceptable. We booked late so choices were limited. Location was fine. It was a nice neighborhood 2 min to Metro. Rooms were a bit run down but clean. Staff spoke excellent English and was very helpful. This would probably be a better choice for an extended stay with the stove and refrigerator. Plus longer terms stays get a much better per night room rate. Breakfast was certainly not a good value, unless included with room. There is a café on the corner and a boulangerie about 1 block away. WiFi was available in room at a decent speed. Something we missed in the hotel description was NO air conditioning. That made for a steamy stay in July.

huge rooms although the bathroom was a little small. A safe in the wardrobe which is very useful. The surrounding area is great (& quiet) with lots of restaurants and mini supermarkets for food, the metro is a 1minute walk, a 3 stop connection to Nation which connect most if not all the metro lines! Hotel was spotless, could not fault the cleanliness at all! service was 50/50, some staff were really very nice & helpful, others a bit rude. Kitchenette was an added bonus, the fridge & microwave were great.. but it took 90minutes to semi boil a pan of water on the hob which was not good! All in all i would definitely stay here again, clean and accessible, all attractions within a 20minute metro ride. Great stay

Good Hotel for Paris Access

This is a solid hotel with clean rooms and convenient location. (Philippe August metro stop is one short block away and there are places to eat and shop on the street too.) The hotel is quiet and secure and the room was big enough. The bathroom door did not open all the way in because it hit the sink which is a little odd, but otherwise the bathroom is large enough. The kitchenette is perfect if you're staying multiple days becase you can shop, but stuff in the fridge and then make your own breakfast and teas and all that. I would not recomment the hotel breakfast charge - you'd do better with your own shopping and eating pastries in the morning.

Good place in a quiet neighbourhood

It is closer to the airport than the hotels located in center of Paris. There are 3 Metro stations within walking distance. But, the metro ride to the center of Paris is 25-30 mins. The main attraction is the famous cemetry next door which houses the graves of famous personalities like Jim Morrisson, Oscar Wilde, Chopin & now also of JRD Tata. Give yourself atleast 2 to 3 hrs to cover it.

The staff was very nice and helpful. It is in a quiet neighbourhood far from the tourist crowd & still has quiet a lot of restaurants offering local, indian & japnese cuisine. Although, the hotel staff was English speaking those in the neighbourhood restaurants hardly knew any English but still were patient and helpful.

Friendly and close to metro

The hotel is very close to a metro station, it was easy to get around Paris. There are shops nearby, if you walk a bit further away there are plenty of bars and eateries. Our room was large, it had a small kitchenette (no kettle or toaster) and a small bathroom. It was clean and comfortable. The bed was a little on the firm side but ok. The pillows are useless. The staff were all friendly and helpful. An economical hotel fom which to explore Paris if you don't need to be in the centre of things.

Bath had no plug and shower hose was leaking. ( Hose fixed ) Noise between floors and walls higher than expected and voices clearly audible. No hair drier, toaster or kettle for ease of self containment. Proximity to Metro and convenience stores excellent.

Nice place near Pere Lachaise

We went in not knowing quite what to expect. Despite thinking the room was going to be quite small, it was the perfect size for the two of us staying there (though the shower is a little small for anyone over 6'). The kitchenette does the job and comes with everything you'll need to make a few small meals while you're around. It's also about 30 seconds from the Metro (Line 2), a minute or so from about 3 or 4 small grocers/corner stores, and 5 minutes to a Franprix (in two directions). Also not a far walk away are some fairly good restaurants (our favorites being L'Artiste and Chez Prosper) and nice and quiet in the evenings after crazy days downtown. The only thing that was a downside was since we stayed for five nights there was no housekeeping service to the unit, but it certainly wasn't a deal breaker.

Geat for small familes

Excellent hotel overlooking Pere Lachaise cemetery. Staff very friendly and helpful. The fridge and microwave in the main room enabled myself, wife and daughter to eat supermarket bought food or take away food in the room which certainly saved us money on buying expensive restaurant evening meals. There is a metro station 50m from the hotel which enables easy access to the rest of Paris.
