I called to find out about the Shuttle service that is offered and I was told that I should just refer to the paperwork that I received when I booked the reservation. Well there was nothing on the paperwork about the Shuttle. I didn't know where to go to get it and I wasn't sure if it would end at a certain time or not and that was very disconcerting. But the people at the front desk were very nice once I got there.

The hotel was in a convenient place for a good price, but not great. When we arrived at around 11:00, the lobby was packed with people arriving from an airport shuttle. Even with 4 staff members working the front desk, and doing a great job at it, it took almost half an hour to check in. I guess this is what to expect from an airport hotel.

The room itself was just okay. It was clean but poorly lit. The bathtub drained slowly and there was a small amount of water leaking from the toilet tank onto the floor.

Good: Room clean, beds comfortable, good shower
Bad: Shuttle - Passed us by twice at South Terminal as it was full. Phone indicates stops as needed at North (1) and South Terminal (3) - called and asked them to bypass North on one trip. They did not. Finally walked to North Terminal to catch shuttle, 49 minutes delay getting shuttle. Next morning, shuttle late again - arrived at 3:15 for 3:20 shuttle and was told it was late. Arrived around 3:35 (schedule indicates every 20 minutes). Rather than leaving then, we waited until 3:40 basically cancelling the 3:20 departure. We left time for security so did not put flight at risk, but losing over an hour between arrival and departure was not ideal. Overall, very disappointing shuttle operation.
Room: Booked third party on Expedia and picture of room booked had two Queen beds shown (called Double Room Queen Bed - Balcony). However, for Double Tree this is only one bed. Asked to have the extra fee waived for two beds and Manager called and said he would take care of it. However, there is now a credit card charge for that fee.
Bottom line: Poor shuttle and mis-representation of the room (between Expedia and doubletree) overshadowed a relatively decent hotel and room.

I would not stay here again if it was free.
Just don’t do it. A waste of money is all it will be! The place is a rundown dump.

Zero parking, and when you do find a spot not close to your room it costs $40! Wow.

Our water in the bathroom didn’t work so we waited 40 min for a maintenance guy to come.

After I asked what would be done for all of the inconveniences I was given the option of a breakfast coupon (we were leaving at 5am the next morning so not helpful) OR a dinner coupon (it was already 9pm) and we were trying to shower and go to bed.

As I mentioned, from someone who travels often find somewhere else to go. This is priced 80% over what it should be.

Bartenders were great in the sports bar despite the high cost of food/beverages. $25 for 6 chicken wings? $24 for a 6 oz pour of medium to low grade wine? $40 breakfast? It’s cheaper at the airport! We get it is a convention hotel but for holiday travelers who aren’t on an expense account, it’s over the top!

Location is fantastic for airport and the free shuttle is a great perk. Probably stay here again but eat across the street at the local Thai spot!

We were warmly greeted by the friendly front desk staff upon arrival. They even offered warm chocolate chip cookies, which were especially appreciated after a very long day of driving.

We had originally booked a different room but decided to upgrade for an additional $20. Upon doing our usual spot check with a black light, we were somewhat surprised to find that the 2 two older hotels we had stayed at just prior, appeared to be much cleaner. That said, the room itself was very spacious, comfortable, and provided plenty of room to relax.

We also enjoyed a meal at the restaurant downstairs. One thing we couldn’t help but notice was that we were seated separately from the main dining area, while other guests who appeared more casually dressed were seated there. It left us with the impression that appearances may have influenced seating decisions, which was disappointing.

Thankfully, Johnny, our server, completely changed the tone of our evening. He provided what can only be described as five-star service. His enthusiasm, efficiency, and genuine friendliness made our dining experience memorable. He consistently checked to ensure our needs were met and even took the time to engage in a pleasant conversation, asking where we were from and getting to know us a little. His hospitality was outstanding and made us feel truly welcome.

Thank you, Johnny, for helping make our 40th Anniversary celebration more special. Your kindness and professionalism did not go unnoticed.

DT is known for cookies on arrival. The FD agents' attitude was poor to say the least. Not helpful at all. When asking about the cookies, she said, you are only staying one night...
Since when does that matter? She also told me I needed to move my car from the front parking lot, which was empty, to another location asap. i told her that I am only changing and leave right away, she rolled her eyes. This will be my last DT stay for a while. Its interesting how one person can ruin it for the brand.

Our hot water didn’t work in the shower when we asked for maintenance help it took about 30 minutes for them to get to the room and they ended up fixing it with their own tools. They looked at it and said they fixed it. Which was strange. The next morning the faucet didn’t work again. We tried to get a new room, but they were understaffed at the front desk so we didn’t really have an opportunity to just do that. The parking was nice because it was in a closed off area. The front looks really nice however, the rooms themselves smell like they were potentially smoking rooms in the past they weren’t very updated. Bed was overall comfortable , However, the sheets were pretty scratchy. There was no complementary breakfast from what we could see. It was only paid breakfast for $170 you think you’d get just a little more.

The DoubleTree was incredibly convenient and close to the airport, making it a very practical choice for our travels. The hotel itself is quite large, which is great for amenities, but it is worth noting for future guests that a late-night check-in might mean you get assigned a room at the absolute far end of the property. After a long day of travel, walking to the room felt like quite a hike.
Our main frustration happened when we checked in at midnight. We were hoping to quickly grab some refreshments, but unfortunately, the ice machines and vending machines on our floor were not working, making it very difficult to feed my family before putting everyone to bed.
Overall, it's a comfortable and highly convenient location, but if you are arriving late, I'd highly recommend grabbing a few snacks and drinks at the airport before you head to the hotel!

We were not given prior information about where to get the airport shuttle so we had to call and wait quite some time. That leg of the journey was frustrating. About fifteen parties arrived to check in and the staff stepped up with extra help. Checking in I was offered a closer room for $30 extra but I declined. The property is huge with hallways expanding out in several directions. I had no idea how far I had to walk for the room I was given and it was difficult with suitcases and mobility challenges. It almost seemed like punishment for not accepting the upgrade. Despite the inconvenience, the room was clean, large and quiet. After returning home I found a $2 charge on my credit card for \"Tourism Assessment Fee\". IDC about $2 but annoyed at the fact that I was not told about this. There are a few places to eat within walking distance and a liquor store to purchase wine to carry on our cruise. All in all, it was a nice place and I would stay there again.
