I was surprised about how much of a suntan I achieved at normal 23-24degree weather
I enjoyed the excellent Greek cuisine
I didn’t enjoy how little the young staff like their work. There are some excellent old timers who confess how little young people understand the importance of hospitality and giving to allow visitors to enjoy

We had a fantastic stay at Best Western Plaza. The rooms were comfortable and of a decent size and the pool was very inviting on a lovely warm Easter Sunday. The breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of variety. Above all, the staff were very kind and helpful. I asked at reception for a mattress topper and it was brought to the room within 5 minutes of asking. Excellent service :)

My room was reasonably spacious but the bathroom was rather cramped and the chairs not very comfortable. Both room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is very good - many restaurants nearby and the old town a fairly short walk away. The breakfast was amazing - excellent quality and choice with omlettes cooked to order.

Excellent customer service! Got upgraded to a lovely corner room. Great breakfast included in price, nice pool.
Only negatives were no mugs in room (given paper cups), drains smelt but then foreign drains can be like that and wet room bathroom got drenched (again, it’s the design but meant you couldn’t go on the bathroom after a shower for ages).

A well located hotel. Just 5 minutes walk to seafront and 10 minutes to the walled city. A competent hotel and I enjoyed my 7 day stay. However, quite \"old school\" and more suited to the mature guest. Needs refurbishment in some public areas, such as the heavily worn carpeting. However I would recommend the hotel.

This is the perfect location. everything is in walking distance. Beach, shops, port, old town, new town, loads or bars and restaurants. But yet a quiet location.

Bed was a bit hard for me so they added a topper straight away , much better. We used the pool a lot and we always got a sun bed no matter what time we went. Leaning staff was lovely and nothing too much trouble. We also used the complimentary shower and luggage room after check out as we had a late flight.

I had a really great time. The hotel was situated near the centre, very clean large comfortable rooms with balcony and I had a seaview, very nice and friendly staff throughout and service levels were amazing! I honestly thought it was 5 stars. I asked for a late check out and was given it complimentary. If I had one very small criticism it would be that they could change the shower system to something more modern.

Out of season so lots of facilities closed (including the outdoor pool. Staff friendly and helpful, nicely presented hotel, room clean, nice breakfast. Most things reasonably priced, including a set priced evening meal. Generally pleasant stay at a reasonable price, easy stroll to the old town along the harbour. Note that there really is little parking offered by the hotel. In the streets around there are parking restrictions but only for certain hours of the day, which change from day to day, and location to location, so still hoping I did not receive a parking fine for the hire car. Bet its awful in high season!

Couldn’t fault a thing, rooms were quiet and clean, serviced each day and tea and coffee restocked, receptionists helpful and polite.
Nothing was too much trouble for restaurant staff we were even provided with a grab and go breakfast when we had an early start to our journey. Prices were competitive in restaurant and bar.
Convenient location for ferries and shopping.
Only thing that could be improved is if our next visit is for pleasure rather than a hospital appointment, we will work on that!

The Hotel was very fresh and clean and the choice of food for breakfast was amazing and so varied and the pool area outside was spacious too. A comfortable Hotel with welcoming and very helpful staff - would definitely stay there again. It was very central to all the attractions in Rhodes Town that we had planned to see. We only had a short stay in Rhodes Town so the location of the hotel was a prime factor in our booking. Would highly recommend it to others.

Staff all wearing masks guests requested to do so in public areas unless eating or drinking. Hotel very clean and Covid-19 precautions in place making you feel secure. Breakfast excellent lots of choices and barman in particular was excellent.

Room Service Lets it Down!

13 days initially then added another 2 due to travel changes. The reception and restaurant were/are superb, the attention by the restaurant and bar staff particularly good. However the standard of cleaning and attention to detail in the rooms was poor. Beds not made well, no cups left (had to ask every time at bar) no replenishment of tea, coffee etc. we realised we had to be out of the room for the clean, but often that didn’t happen until after 13.00 hours! Overall the hotel is good but level of service to the rooms is less than a nearby 2 star hotel and this is supposedly 4 star!!?

The hotel was nice, so was my room. The only problems, were, the bed was not comfortable, the pillows too hard and the coffee making set was hidden in the cabinet and did not include cups.

We arrived on Rhodes by ferry and got to the hotel at 7.00am to ask if we could leave our cases with them until check in. To our delight we were told we could go straight to a room. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

We are staying here at the Best Western Plaza in Rhodes between August 4th until August 12th and we are having a lovely time.

For those people that have been unsure about travelling during the pandemic and more importantly coming to Rhodes and perhaps staying at the Plaza we can only say that we are very pleased that we came.

The hotel runs its ‘We Care Clean’ program and everything here is spotlessly clean with Covid procedures firmly in place which is very reassuring. Masks are worn in the inside public areas of the hotel and there is a specific procedure when entering the restaurant for the excellent breakfast buffet or for those that use the restaurant for lunch and dinner. Hands are sanitised, disposable gloves are worn while you select your food from the many choices available and once seated you are free to then carry on ‘as normal’…..it’s very reassuring to see that the hotel is putting safety of its staff and guests as a priority during these times.

As others have said, the Plaza is in a fantastic position, close to everything you may want to see in Rhodes Town and is a lovely ‘city centre’ hotel with a good sized swimming pool for those lazy days during the heatwave that we are experiencing at the moment.

The staff are fantastic, very hard working and cheerful

We (husband and i) got a lastinute holiday during the half term break. Stayed at Best Western Plaza. Throughout our stay we were made very welcome by all the staff. Overall cleanliness was excellent with staff disinfecting sunbeds etc.. as soon as they were vacated. Although the holiday was taken in turbulent times, this did not have a negative impact on our holiday. Will be back next year so a huge thank you to all the staff at Best Western Plaza, Rhodes. PS the location was perfect too!

Way lower than Best Western standard, disappointed

- no water in the room (not a single bottle on arrival), never had a 4* hotel room without drinking water given.
- no sound proofing between the rooms
- No room cleaning for 2 days ( they blame coronavirus situation)
- kept waiting till 3pm for check in (because they were full!?!?)
- although booked a pool view room which is the quiet side, given a street view room 2nd floor, naturally Everytime a motorbike passes we woke up
- given a room next to lift, doors keep banging, even the cleaning lady kept banging the service room door, told her to close the door quietly but she told me to talk to reception.
- no high chairs for infants, not offered both days, waiters kept ignoring us.
- sign at lift saying 99% coronavirus is eliminated by the filter, this is not a valid statement. See the picture. Also everywhere antibacterial disinfectants, but no antivirals anywhere.
- sent an email to Best Western US with complaints, got a reply saying \"every best Western hotel is owned and operated independently\", then what's the point of having the brand name if the standards are lower than other Best Westerns!?!?
- won't come back, can't recommend either. It's a surprise for us how they have so high rating.

We stayed at Best Western in Rhodes on our holiday trip in December. Since it’s their down and quiet time of the year- we did not expect too much and that it exactly what we got - not much.
Hotel Staff was very friendly, but since it was very little to do on the island that time of the year, it seems that all properties are using this time to make repairs. Best western was doing it as well and it was noisy at times.
The heating system can probably use some upgrades as we could not turn the heat off and some hotel quests were smoking in the rooms and we could smell the smoke in our room through the air docks system.
Overall, while it was not our worst experience, it was also not our best.
On the bright side- hotel is located close to the port and sea.

A very pleasant well situated hotel. My balcony room overlooked the swimming pool which closes at 7pm so there was no evening noise. The breakfast is one of the best I've had at a hotel in Rhodes. I am not normally given to highly recommend places to stay, but I certainly do with The Plaza.

It is in a great location
Access to the port, buses and the old town is with in easy walking distance!
City beach is within 5 minutes walk as well.
Many restaurants of good quality nearby.
Very good breakfast!
Rooms are okay but need new mattresses
and more up to date bathroom ie get rid of bathtubs
