The VPM Rooms accomodation (triple room) was exactly that...a self contained room complete with bathroom and without a kitchenettem (the Expedia pictures can misguide you here). The room was functional but basic (almost like a hostel room). It did the job but it did not invite you to linger in it, but that was fine for us as we only wanted a base of operation. It was also only practical for use by a couple...we used the second single bed for our suitcases.
Pros:
1. Relatively spacious with doors accessing a balcony overlooking the street.
2. Elevator (room is on the first floor).
3. Check in was easy.....we were provided with a contact person along with a WhatsApp number who provided the door codes to enter the building, and the room keys were inside.
4. Location was only 2 minutes easy walk from Naples Centrale train station and located along a street with numerous take-out restuarants and coffee bars.
5. There is a safe in the room (old fashioned with a big key).
6. Michele (contact person and room manager) was always responsive and helpful via WhatsApp.
Cons:
1. Bathroom has no storage, shelving, or hangers. So, our travel kits had to be placed on the floor.
2. Cleaning service and change of towels were done only on demand, and then perfromed in a perfunctory manner.
The place was perfect as a base close to the train station, and within 20-30 minute walking from the historic areas in Naples. Walking in Naples requires Maps, as its a maze of narrow streets.
