Excellent property with great staff. Located perfectly in the center of town with spectacular views. Room was very nice, clean and for the cost really exceptional.

Only negative comment was something basic like their pillows. They were hard and cheap, versus a comfortable down/feather pillow. At the very least they should offer feather options upon request. I would have even paid more. The beds are super firm so combined with a stiff pillow was unable to sleep and woke up sore and not rested. Just a suggestion the hotel should consider.

Oh - and they don’t have ice at the restaurant. This is sort of odd considering preference by westerners for ice. Have a small ice machine is very low cost for the property and basic hospitality for international clients.

Unfortunately, our experience was negatively impacted by the hotel receptionist who works during the morning hours. He informed us that if we chose to explore Cappadocia or book tours on our own, he would be fined, claiming he had already paid fines in the past because tourists went out independently. This immediately raised red flags for us, as we travel frequently and have never encountered such a policy anywhere.

Despite this, my family and I decided to explore on our own, and it became clear that what he told us was not true. There is no fine or charge for guests who go out independently. It felt like a dishonest attempt to pressure us into booking tours and transportation through him. Additionally, he tried to charge us significantly more—almost double—than what a local taxi charged us to take us to multiple locations. This behavior felt misleading and unprofessional.

On a positive note, the breakfast is average, but the lady and gentleman working in the breakfast area are very kind, helpful, and welcoming. Room service is also average; housekeeping mainly makes the bed and changes towels, with minimal additional service.

The hotel itself is in a good location, close to many restaurants and cafes, which is convenient. However, due to the misleading information and behavior from the morning receptionist, this stay did not fully meet expectations

The location is great near the main street in goreme but fat enough away that you won't hear the noise. I will recommend Zara Cave Hotel to anyone and everyone! We stayed in room 102, the Fairy Chimney, and it was a great experience. Everyone working at the hotel was extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast was great. The hotel had three to four rooftop areas and offered an amazing view of Göreme and the hot air balloons in the morning. The first night we stayed there, the restaurant directly next to the hotel had live string instruments playing, and it felt absolutely magical.

Highlight of our stay in Turkey!

Zara Cave Hotel and Cappadocia was the highlight of our 10 day trip to Turkey! The view of the hot air balloons from the rooftop terraces is one I’ll never forget!
The staff were very friendly, the bed was very comfortable and our room was large and clean. We couldn’t ask for anything more from our stay! Oh and the breakfast was very extensive and delicious as well!

I had a wonderful stay at Zara Cave Hotel. The highlight was definitely the balcony view—watching the hot air balloons rise over Cappadocia was absolutely breathtaking. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed, and the service was warm and attentive throughout my stay. Breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of fresh and delicious options to start the day.

The hotel is absolutely fantastic! It’s in such a great spot—you can easily stroll to plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Plus, the bus station is super close if you need to get to or from the airport.

There are many stairs not only at this hotel but at many of the hotels in the area so if you are handicapped just be aware. However the staff at Zara Cave Hotel is very helpful and will carry your bags to and from your room as well as show you the amenities.

The bathroom is well appointed and includes all kinds of items including toothpaste and toothbrush.

The breakfast is wonderful with freshly made pancakes and other yummy delights.

The view of the floating balloons early in the morning is easy to watch from one of their balconies.

The Zara Cave hotel was centrally located and was absolutely phenomenal. The customer service was one of the best we have ever experienced. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious and great water pressure in the showers. We walked everywhere from the hotel. It was truly exceptional! Our kids stayed in a fairy chimney which was really cool. One of the only hotels with a chimney!!

I stayed at Zara Cave Hotel with my fiancé to celebrate my birthday, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The hotel is cozy, charming, and beautifully designed. From the window of our room and the stunning terraces, we had spectacular views of the hot air balloon show every morning truly magical!
The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. They helped us book all of our local excursions and even found us the best private tour guide. When my hot air balloon ride was canceled due to weather, they quickly arranged another flight for the next day and refunded the difference without hesitation. That level of care and service is rare!
I'm so happy I chose Zara Cave Hotel to begin a new year of my life. I will definitely return one day with friends and family to share this unforgettable place. Goreme and Cappadocia stole my heart and Zara Cave Hotel made it all even more special. Highly recommended!

Zara Caves is a lovely hotel. I was a little worried before we arrived that our room would be dark and feel a little claustrophobic as it had no windows, but there was no concerns when we arrived - the room was very well lit and spacious and it was nice to do something a little different to what we're used to. As a family of 4 with two older children - the room was a great size (we were in King room 103 - the largest room at the hotel).

The hotel is in a great location, right in the center of Goreme, so all the good restaurants and shops are within walking distance and all of the tours are nearby, so the drive is never too long. The highlight for us was the terraced areas where you can watch the balloons in flight at sunrise. We had the chance to go up in a balloon but wanted to see them from the ground too, and the Zara Cave terrace was the perfect place to do this from.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, messaging us well in advance to offer suggestions for tours etc and to help with transfers to the airport. We couldn't fault anything and would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Cappadoccia.

Okay but misleading

Our stay at Zara Cave was okay. The staff was really nice and breakfast was delicious but overall I found a couple things really misleading.

I was expecting a hotel built into a hillside with rooms like caves. This hotel is a regular stand alone hotel built from stone looking materials, but definitely not caves. The room was nice, clean and spacious, it just wasn't a cave hotel in my opinion. The hotel is in the middle of town surrounded by dozens of other similar hotels, not on a hillside.

The balloons were cancelled both days we were there, but I'm almost certain they wouldnt be able to get as close as they show in some of the photos since the hotel is right in the middle of the town. They have a photoshop package that they offer and I think thats what you see when they show the balloons really close and right behind the terracel. Again, we didnt get to see the hot air balloons, but that would be my guess based off the location of the hotel.

They advertise soundproof rooms but this was not the case at all. We were woken up by very loud crying cats one morning at like 6am and people walking up to breakfast or talking in the courtyard. You can hear everything in the room clearly without any kind of noise dampening. It was disappointing as we were very tired.

Lastly, I chose this hotel partially because they offered onsite parking. This is not the case, you have to fend for your yourself and find your own parking which was difficult and frustrating after a long day.

the staff was friendly, courteous, and welcoming. Hot Air Balloons views very accessible from the premises or very near by. breakfast fresh and with plenty of options. Premisses and room were very nice and original. location a few blocks away from the main street. definitely, a MUST GO place.

What an incredible place. We stayed in a room for 4 people and it was almost like an apartment. Lots of space and spectacular decoration. The hotel is very well located, close to many places to eat and shop. The view of the balloons from its terraces is unique. Recommended.

It's pretty surprising that every single comment about this hotel is positive, but it really is the case. This has definitely been one of the best hotels I've stayed at during my trip to Turkey. The location is right in the heart of the town, making it super easy to walk to most places. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe. They kept me in the loop about events and activities from the moment I booked until I arrived. My room was cozy and spotless, and the shower had the perfect water temperature every time. Shady, the receptionist, greeted me with open arms and answered all my questions; he spoke English really well. I can't comment on the food due to my severe allergies, but I did see a massive selection at the breakfast buffet. Big thanks to the chef for making my morning egg! I highly recommend this hotel, and if I ever come back, it would definitely be my first choice.

Tip:
- Don’t book any tours in advance with other companies; let the hotel handle it for you. You’ll get the best deals and prices, including airport transfers.

- Consider booking a photoshoot with them. Even if there aren’t any balloons flying that day, they can add them to your pictures; the photographer on site is really good.

Recommendations:
- It would be great to have a channel listing in the rooms since there are over 100 channels available.

This place is a home run. The staff are excellent and always helpful. The breakfast is good with many varieties. They even leave it open all day where you can go and get coffee, tea, breads and goodies they leave out. The location is perfect. Views, balloons, walk to everywhere. Our room was so big! Excellent decorating and gives a homey experience. Staying in Goreme? This IS the place to be.

The most unique hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The patios have perfect views of the town as well as the hot air balloons. The breakfast buffet is delicious, fresh, and fulfilling! Hotels, walking distance from everything. Front desk is amazing service. Müslüm Was helpful with all transportation arrangements and just overall great at responding!

We spent our last few nights of our 3 week , multi city trip in the Zara Cave Hotel , and it was by far the best hotel we have stayed in - everything from our check in to check out was first class .
The staff are accommodating, the rooms are wonderful, there is no detail spared

An experience to remember at Zara Hotel.
Manager Rosid welcomed us and went thru tge hotwl details. Iur room wazms available, even though we had arrived early. The cave room was such a goos size and we really enjoyed staying in it.
There are various terraces to enjoy in the evening and to view the hor air balloons
The staff at breakfast were great with such variety of food.
The hotel is not too far up the hill from the main street. This was very important to me.
Overall, a fantastic experience and we left with fondest memories

The staff at Zara are fantastic. One staff member runs a travel company, so you’re able to book private tours at a reasonable price. The rooftop is great for pictures, and you’re able to book their in house photographer. The hotel is lower on the hill, so it’s easy to walk down to the Main Street area with restaurants/atms. After our hot air balloon was cancelled, the staff was incredibly helpful in us booking a new hot air balloon and arranging a direct transfer to the airport. We appreciated their care and expertise.

Great hotel. Service is top notch.parkin is a nightmare, but this in no way is the hotels fault. This area in general is a free for all with pedestrians, narrow streets and drivers just doing whatever they want. Rooms are clean, terraces have amazing views and there really isn’t a request they won’t at least try to accommodate! Best hotel we stayed at so far during a multiple week trip to Turkey!

Zara Cave Hotel was the best hotel we stayed at during our entire trip to Turkey.
The property is absolutely beautiful, located in such a scenic spot.
Our room was fantastic. It was spotless clean, cozy, and with the exotic touches of the pottery items displayed on the wall. The bathroom was spacious and luxurious
as well.
The hotel had a couple of balconies from which the baloons can be observed in the morning. A lot of other sitting areas beautifully decorated with traditional rugs and table ware were created for the enjoyment of the guests at the property grounds.
The breakfast was amazing, including freshly cooked items plus a huge variety of cheeses, olives, sweets, fruites.
The staff spoke very good English and was super friendly and kind.
We strognly recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay in Goreme at Zara Cave Hotel! We did not want to leave! Great staff, very clean. Room 204 was wonderful!

The location was great and the view from the terrace was phenomenal. We got great pictures!

One note for travelers, there is no parking on hotel property. However, street parking is so easy to find in the town. Don't worry about not finding a spot. Id just recommend staying away from the tight streets and stick to the main drags.

One of the best hotel I have ever stayed! Awesome hospitality! I have to give credit to all of the staffs there, they went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable during our stay, gave us plenty of traveling recommendation and activities to do around Cappadocia. The breakfast spread is the most amazing breakfast that I have had during my Turkey trip. High quality food and huge varieties of delicious traditional food. Highly recommend.
