Room was not clean, some garbage was already in a trash bin, shower is broken, the washroom lights are flickering. If we don’t ask, they don’t give us any information (wi-fi, air conditioner, breakfast). Receptionists are rude( an old man, and a woman with tied hair). I can’t believe this is 3 star hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located near Roma Termini, which is ideal if you arrive late or need a place to stay. As expected for the area, it can be quite busy. Although the building is old, it is well managed, and the staff at the reception are very accommodating and allow you to leave your luggage safely.

I’m quite particular about bathrooms. The bathroom was small but clean. There was a slight smell at times, possibly from the drain or the water, as mentioned in some previous reviews.

The location is unbeatable, a stones throw from Rome Termini train/Metro station, so getting to and from the airport, or anywhere else, is very easy. Hotel is super clean, rooms are quiet and safe, staff is extremely helpful. I did not stay for breakfast so I cannot comment on that.

Upon our arrival they said we only booked for 1 person not 2 I did not think it was that big of deal, but they sure did! The lady was instantly rude to us on the phone to someone being very dramatic then charged us an extra $200 cad for 4 nights, I could almost understand if there was a breakfast, but as there wasn't even coffee I do not understand the rudeness or the evasive charges. I do not reccomend this hotel.

Everything was absolutely perfect!
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the room exceeded all my expectations – it looked even better than in the photos. I was pleasantly surprised!
Very clean too !

We were even able to check in earlier, as the room was ready two hours before the official check-in time, which was such a nice touch.

A wonderful experience from start to finish – I highly recommend it!

It was an okay hotel.. location is great near centrale Termini , bed was a little uncomfortable and you aren’t able to control your own air conditioner so you have to call down to the desk everytime you want to turn it on or off.. Definitely a very old building but still very well kept. It was clean and functional. Not very spacious showers but that’s expected in an old building. Staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. You can see Termini station from out front which made it very convenient and walkable. If you’re not afraid of a good walk, everything you’d want to see is walkable. We walked about 30mins to Colosseum and 40ish to Trevi fountain and about an hour from the Vatican City. Excellent food options near by and felt very safe inside and out. Would stay again!

I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful little hotel right near the terminus in Rome! This location is just perfect, especially for someone who needs to get back-and-forth to the airport.

The staff here, Tina in particular, has been absolutely extraordinarily helpful. I initially booked this hotel for three nights and then decided to stay longer in Rome… And Tina was SO wonderfully helpful in arranging things and rooms so that I could do that. GRAZIE MILLE a Tina e a tutti!

Had a great stay at Hotel Corot. It’s a few steps from Rome Termini, making it an ideal location. I read horror stories about the undesirables who hang round that area, but didn’t have any issues myself. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

The place could do with some modernization and it’s not the Ritz, however the pros outweigh this easily. The air con is centrally controlled, but on request remained on for my stay.

In short if you’re expecting a high class hotel this isn’t it, if you want somewhere well priced in an excellent location, and not afraid of some rough bits, look no further.

Very close to Termini train station

Extremely close to the Roma Termini train station made this the perfect hotel for my trip. The room was small, but the air conditioner worked great. I only needed a clean place to stay for the night and this worked well.

The property was very convenient hor our purposes, and the location close to Termini was ideal. The area on the Via Marsala side of Termini is much quieter than the Via Giolitti side. Staff were friendly and helpful. There are a number of good restaurants almost beside the hotel. Breakfast was plenriful and the dining room very nice.
The major issue was the internet, which was unreliable; even the staff person could not make it work properly. When connected, it would regularly lose the connection, making it hard to use

It's only like a few blocks from the train station, but that all the good I can say. The hotel is creepy and shares its rooms with the hotel next door. The drain of the shower stank like sewer badly. It looked \"clean\" but there was a few long black hairs in my bed. When I woke up the next morning I found multiple micro pieces of glass under me and a cut on my foot that might scar. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

This is the worst hotel I stayed in terms of cleanness and value of money I paid for. The room was not cleaned well. There were hair on the bathroom floor and in the sink. The sheets had bad smell and you could tell they were not washed. The fridge was dirty inside. The reusable cups in the sealed bag were still wet and clearly used before. Disgusting. The overall building of the hotel is very creepy and dirty. Not friendly staff. I would not recommend.

Hotel Corot is extremely outdated motel. The elevator is very old and really tight fit. The room was clean but it was dark, dreary, and creepy like from a horror movie. The whole esthetics of that motel was like a set design for a horror movie. The only reason this motel is still operating is because it is very short walk to the Termini and shopping otherwise it really needs to be shut down and have a full renovation. The tv only shows Italian channels and gives no option to see anything in English even though English is the global business language. I do not recommend this motel to anyone.

This hotel perfectly served our purpose... It is clean and safe... The staff is professional and very helpful... The location is great-only a 1-minute walk to Roma Termini and the taxi stand outside the station exit... We took advantage of the breakfast offer on the hotel's 5th floor which was most convenient... Management spoke fluent English which was most helpful... There are good restaurants nearby as well as fast-food places... We highly recommend this hotel and will book it whenever we come to Rome...!

The room was decent, but you can't adjust the AC, you have to go to the front desk asking them to set the temp for you. Staffs are not very nice and not being helpful.

The hotel itself is quite tired and in need to attention in a couple of areas, but was great value for money and really well placed just metres from Termini train station and links to airports, bus tours, shops etc. Also walkable to most major sights (about 25mins to Colosseum).

Good value and very convenient location

Very convenient for railway station Termini. The room was unpleasantly hot with no instructions for the air conditioning. I went to reception to ask for instructions and the man on reception said he would turn it on. The room then became comfortable but you still can’t adjust it in your room- hence only 4 stars for eco friendly. I would stay again. Overall it was good value for money

Great place close to Termini station

This is a great, economic hotel unbelievably close to the Termini train station but still nice and quiet. It's pretty basic but comfy beds and good hot shower so no complaints! They didn't have our request for a twin room (2 beds) and said we had to have a double bed which was disappointing but eventually after some strong requesting we got a room with 2 beds. The only bad thing was that my friend left something in the room which was valuable and when we called a few hours later to come back to collect it they didn't have it - so the cleaner must have taken it. Spoilt our Rome trip as usually a hotel will keep \"lost and found\" items at least a day surely?

Good location but cheap hotel

Location is great but is not clean. Bathroom is not so functional. Shower is only 1.5 feet wide and impossible to take shower even if you are a skinny person. Microwave was placed in room but nowhere to plug it. Most power plugs were loose and not holding properly

The room was fine. A 2 minute walk to Termini train station, very convenient. Quiet at night which was surprising considering how busy the immediate neighborhood is. Only negative was breakfast, which was not good, even compared to other inexpensive hotels I've stayed in in the same area.

Terrible Hotel

This hotel was dusty and run down. Shower door was a plastic sheet that didn’t shut properly covered in mould. Took over 20 minutes for the shower to run warm and the AC did not work. The stairs were dangerous and the lift seemed not reliable. Staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. The beds had no duvets just incredibly scratchy blankets. Fire alarm in each room flashes green lights all night making it nearly impossible to sleep.

Perfect for a short stay

It’s a great location if you arrive by train. I don’t like hotels that control the room temp from the desk. So hot that only opening the windows helped. The bed is much too hard. The desk staff was great, and although it could use updating it was a good stay overall

The room was good and clean, the staff was very kind, but most days I had to call the reception because there was no hot water on the shower, and they also charged me 26 extra euros on the check out that they wouldn’t let me pay with my card, only cash, even tho when I did my reservation it didn’t said I would have to pay that.

Can't fault it for the money

I booked this hotel for me and my 10 year old as we needed a base to explore from. I didn't therefore want to waste money on a 4-5* hotel when we would only be there for sleeping.
I was a little apprehensive but that all proved to be unnecessary when we arrived. The location, next to the train station, is perfect. Easy walk to all the main attractions and access to the metro if you don't want to walk. Nice to have the bag drop facility on the last day.
The hotel itself was fine. Loads of old character and my daughter loved the old lift.
The room was big, spacious and clean and the bathroom was massive. The bedding and towels fresh and clean.
We had a lovely view from the windows across the rooftops of Rome. It was quiet at night.
I really can't fault the hotel for the money.

Basic hotel next to Termini

Very basic hotel. Stayed for 2 nights in a single room. The size of the room was fine, but the bed was tiny and not very comfortable. The shower was good. The aircon couldn't be adjusted and it was very cold. I needed an extra blanket despite it being very hot outside. Also the electrical sockets are old and my plugs didn't fit. I had to charge my phone in the TV. On the plus side, the hotel is a minute walk from Termini station. I didn't have breakfast

Booked this property for location near train station. The clean bathroom looked as though work was left unfinished as toilet seat and drains were left uninstalled. Front desk stated problems would be addressed, but that never happened.

The best thing about the Hotel Corot was its proximity to the Termini in Rome, a five minute walk at most. It is clean enough and my room had a great bathroom with a Jacuzzi. It seems slightly better than the norm for the neighborhood and is not bad on price. I had to leave on the train, so it was perfect for that purpose. The neighborhood is heavily tourism oriented, so I would not stay here for a general visit to the city.

The bathroom is a joke, the door to the shower is a weird sliding plastic thing and after every shower it was flooded
I tried reaching the hotel both on the ‘contact property’ option on Expedia and both on email - the never answered
The cherry on top - if you want to turn on the AC you need to call the reception, there is no remote
