This is a great property for young train travellers. It is literally across the road from Rome’s central station. However, it was not clear to me from Expedia’s booking site that there are 47 steps up to the second floor and no elevator, The staff arranged someone to carry my 18 kilo suitcase, but it cost a 5 euro tip on the way up and on the way down. Also, this is a guest house with no food available. There are basic kitchen facilities for the use of guests.

Great little hotel to explore Rome

Great base to explore Rome. Right next to the station. Staff were really helpful with advice and kept our luggage on arrival in the morning.

The Problem was when I check in , no one was at front desk. As an international traveler, I don’t have a phone to contact the hotel. The hotel front door was locked.
The check in time I have informed the hotel manager a head of time. However, I have to ask a street stranger’s help to call the manager to open the door and get access to my room.

Misleading Expedia ratings, shouldn’t been offered as a “hotel” for foreigners, especially Americans. No body answers after hours, not suitable for woman, bad cheesy neighborhood, no clear sign of hotel or residence.. TAKE IT OFF THE EXPEDIA PLATFORM!!!

Great Find

Great find. Location was excellent. Close to the train station. Special touches such as treats left in the fridge, slippers and umbrella where well welcomed. A small shared kitched was great along with a coffee machine. Would definitely recommend 47 steps.
There is no lift which may be difficult if you have heavy luggage to carry .

The place is nice, clean, perfect location! the only problem is that they don't have elevators (lift) so if you bring big luggage, it will be complicated to climb up 3 flights of stairs.

Perfect for what we needed

Two minutes from Roma termini. So clean! Convenient! Modern! AC great! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Had a late night train and needed a place to stay that was simple to get to. 47 steps was perfect. Just know that you have to walk up 47 steps—2 flights of stairs.

It was terrible. The checkin process was horrible we had to fill out everything online with complete security issues, all for a supposed seamless check-in, well it was not seamless. We were pounding on the building door at 9:30 at night to be let in even though we had a supposed automatic entery pass. we then had to climb 47 steps with our heavy suitcases we were two petite women with nobody to help and we were not warned this would be the case for only more door pounding because the building had poor reception. And then there was no indication for which room we were in. Which led to more door pounding and trying every room to finally find one that was unlocked and we had no idea if this was ours or not. This was the worse check in process of our life.

Convenient location, with good amenities.

I was able to check in early, which was great, because I was meeting up with friends and did not have to carry my luggage around the city in 28 degrees. The staff could not have been more flexible and welcoming, the room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The location is very close to Rome Termini station, but in a little side street, with minimal noise. It was convenient, pleasant and perfect for my requirements.

Great budget stay in rome...

The room was very clean, and spacious. We were coming in and out at early/late times in the day and never saw a receptionist but the online check-in process and access was very easy to follow. The only issue was the surrounding area - as we had a driver, the store owner across the street and a guide tell us to avoid walking around the area late at night due to the homeless people that sleep close to the train station nearby and that might cause problems.

Rudia and Veronica were extremely helpful and friendly. They showed me to my room even when I arrived early, and when I interrupted their work to ask for help breaking my luggage lock, they cheerfully lent tools. (I had lost the keys. Travel tip: use pliers to break the tab of the zipper.)

47 Steps is very secure with three keyed doors between the street and each room. You’ll need cellular data to unlock the street door upon your first arrival, or make arrangements with the owners ahead of time. Location is just half a block from Roma Termini Station, extremely convenient for a stopover.

The hotel is inside of a very large building. You do really have to walk up about 47 Steps to get to the rooms, which are beyond a door. The area is not so safe looking, but right across the street from the Termini station. The facility looks relatively new, but the fixtures and furniture seems cheap and easily broken.

This guest house was squeaky clean and very quiet. It is super close to the train station, which enabled us to easily walk there and back for our next train. The attendant helped us up the stairs (yes, there are 47 granite stairs) once she knew we were there. It is modern and sleek inside the guest house( which is in an old building). . We would definitely stay there again. We found many restaurants a few blocks away, and also visited a nearby cathedral on our less than 24 hour stopover. We discovered Ceci’s Trattoria nearby - a diamond in the rough. The food was wonderful, the house wine superb, the waiter positively charming. We would definitely return to 47 steps. Estadia tranquila.

O local é excelente, da pra ir da estação até o local levando as malas, bem próximo a Termini. O quarto é bem confortável, a noite tem silêncio e tranquilidade, vários restaurantes no entorno. O único ponto negativo foi o check in que por ser 100% on line, no celular ficou um pouco complicado. Seria mais simples se tivesse um vídeo instruindo sobre o check in.

It is not a hotel, it is one floor in a very old building with 5 rooms. It is clean and right next to the train station other than that it is very uncomfortable as there is no lift and it is two floors up to the entrance (47 Steps). The bathroom is very tiny, uncomfortable, the shower was broten - we told the manager, but nothing was fixed-. Overall bad experience.

Nada que ver con las fotos. El baño es muy chiquito e incómodo. No hay nadie quien te reciba para hacer check in. Tuve que hablar para que me dijeran cómo tener acceso a mi habitación. En realidad no es un hotel, es un piso acondicionado con recámaras.
Para hacer check out, solo nos pidieron sacar las maletas de las habitaciones porque ya querían limpiarlas pero aún no era la hora de hacer el check out.

A localização é perfeita, há menos de 200m da estação de Termini, local super bem equipado, chuveiro bom, cama macia, checkin online. Serviço de quarto todos os dias, frigobar, chaleira elétrica no quarto, ainda, espaço para refeições disponível no hall de entrada. Não só recomendo, como voltaria.

Such a great place to stay. Superclean, snacks and drinks in the fridge for us and an overall good experience for us. Everybody was very helpful and let us store our luggage both before check in and after check out. We highly recommend this for your stay in Rome.
