Tricky stay in Rimini

to anyone driving with car and google nav to hotel: be aware google will route you at last two turns into a super small street against a closed barrier so you have to careful back out a 200 m stretch. instead of turning on via domenici Francolini continue to via tempio Malatestiano turn right and next left.
after arrival asked how to set aircon i was advised that this hotel has central aircon and because it is too warm it cant be used? What? Rooms and its lights and outlets were another experience. had to crawl under bed to plug in breathing machine. staff was friendly and helpful but the hotel seems more like a forgotten relique from the 70’s. twogood things - close to all historical sites and many good restaurants

the room was located beside the main stairs and the walls are paper thin therefore it was quite a noisy experience. The decor is great and very minimalist which is what i like however they need to take into account all the noise from the neighbouring rooms and corridors.

and bathrooms that match
got a room with an attached open-air jacuzzi up a few stairs
the only complaint would be noise from a bar at night which prevented
the door to the outside from being open at night
but the noise was not heard when the door was closed and the ac was on
breakfast was very good
hard to get to by car but they have their own parking under the hotel

Excellent break enhanced by our hotel stay. Reception were less than helpful on day #1 (parking is an issue), but beyond that we were more than pleased. Other hotel staff could not do enough for us. And the hotel is well positioned in central Rimini; much better than being on the seafront.

Stylish and classy

Rimini is a great place to stay, and I'm really pleased we chose DuoMo as a base - it was nice to be in the old town rather than the sea front and the design of the hotel was fabulous. Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. The room was a touch on the small side, and the bathroom design, whilst stunning and clever, is not very private! The shower/wet room was great though.

Romantic Honeymoon stay

Love the beautifully decorated room & bathroom. Stayed in the Deluxe room over NYE which is highly recommended. Clean room with lots of space & nice Art Deco. Informed them that we were on honeymoon & a beautiful welcome pastry platter was in our room upon arrival which was a nice touch. The other hotels we stayed during our honeymoon didn't do anything special. So thumbs up to Duomo! Breakfast spread was one of the best we had in Italy. Especially the one we had on New Year's Day which they added more special items to the menu like smoked salmon & Champagne. Overall most enjoyable hotel stay for our honeymoon.

The staff was not overly friendly like you would expect at a hotel. Maybe because I am not Italian and don't speak the language, but the staff would just as soon look down or away or act busy rather than greet me as I walked through the lobby.
The rooms were ok, the hotel seems a little out dated, not just the retro theme either.
My room had a shared balcony, had I known this, I would have switched rooms. The room was stuffy and I left my balcony door open to air out the room but all that did was let in cigarette smoke from my balcony neighbor.

Hi tech is not always hi comfort

It is a lovely hotel with charming staff but you need a masters in electronics to be able to get the taps working, to operate the telepvision and to understand the lighting system. Being ultra modern also means no shelves or cupboards in which to store your stuff.

Hotels design is very fragile and limiting! My very large football / rugby player son, sat on the toliet
Seat and the cover cracked, not the
Toliet or the seat, but the cover!!!!
The required us to pay 250 euro, $320. Didn't matter that the seat was 5 years old , didn't matter that
1500/2000 people use it a year . Somehow it was our fault. If you stay there, which I do not recommend, check your room for broken laminate, cracked glass, scratched walls, because if the can find a way to make you pay, they will !!!

Great hotel

This is one of the best hotels I've been to in Europe. It has a really futuristic feel to it. The Wifi works well, the room is clean, the staff are very polite, the breakfast is only continental but still a wide spread, the beds are very comfy, small balcony, large flat screen, the floors are soft, but not carpeted. Lots of stuff in the immediate vicinity, I definitely hope to stay there again soon.

Best hotel ever.

Great balcony, even though it's a tiny one. Very clean room, wifi was great too. Air conditioning that actually works, very comfy beds, large flat screen TV that you can program for English on most channels, bathtub, separate shower (the bathroom has wooden floorboards and the water drains through the floorboards - weird). There is a window that connects the bathroom to the sleep area. It is opened and closed via a knob on the wall of the bathroom (took me a while to figure that one out). No carpeting. Instead, there is this really soft spaceage foam that feels amazing when you stand on it barefoot. The only two drawbacks for me were that the breakfast is continental, hence no hot food. However, it is really good continental, a wide spread of stuff. The other thing was that there was a sign saying the bottled water was complimentary in the hallway but we were charged for it at checkout. It's on an honor system, which is actually really cool. They have a private section of the beach, which is a 25 min or so walk from the hotel. Most of it is through a shaded park so it is a pleasant walk. The staff are some of the most polite people you will ever meet and the location is right in the middle of town. If you are looking for something different, with a futuristic otherworldly vibe, that is not directly on the beach, this is a nice option. I definitely hope to stay there again soon.

This is a lovely hotel close to the centre of Rimini. The hotel is contempory with a very unusual style of decor. The location is idea for catching the bus to San Marino, however its not very close to the sea front.

Fantastic location right in the centre of the old town. Lots of places to eat & drink and 100 yards from great ice cream shop. Minibus service to beach gets you there in less than 5 minutes if you don't mind the driving style, (apparently only 1 pedal, on then off) I'm sure they would slow down a little if you ask. Hotel has a unuque and stylish design which my son really loved and made it very special for him and me. Breakfast was excellent, all the usual continental type with an exceptional choice of cakes.

The hotel's design is different from the ordinary. We preferred staying in central Rimini rather than with the mass of hotels along the beach. The hotel was attractive, paid attention to detail in cleaning, and the entire staff was friendly. We went to the beach during the morning and then took an afternoon trip to Ravenna one day and San Marino the next. Farini, a restaurant close to the duoMo, was our best dinner in Rimini area.

La prima volta che ho soggiornato qui sono rimasta affascinata dal design: era un hotel unico nel suo genere a Rimini, con un progetto architettonico originale, armonioso e curato nei minimi dettagli. Un design con carattere forte e identitario, studiato con coerenza e attenzione.

Da architetto, devo dire che con il nuovo restyling questa armonia si è persa: il progetto originario è stato invaso da scelte che ne hanno alterato l’equilibrio e la forza espressiva.

Detto ciò, continuo a consigliare il Duomo Hotel per la posizione perfetta — nel pieno centro storico di Rimini — e per l’accoglienza straordinaria del personale, che ogni volta ti fa sentire davvero a casa.

Siamo stati molto bene. Camera pulita e comoda, doccia bellissima. L’hotel è davvero bello. Molto buono anche il buffet della colazione, completo di tutto. Personale sempre gentile ed accogliente. Posizione vicina alla stazione e comoda la sera per fare un giro nel centro di Rimini, con negozi e ristoranti. Il mare dista circa 20 minuti a piedi. Molto consigliato!

Unica pecca: prima dei termini di scadenza ho fatto due telefonate in due giorni diversi e inviato su expedia due messaggi per pregare l'hotel di trasformare il soggiorno da due ospiti a uno solo (con il conseguente uso singola della doppia prenotata).
Ai messaggi di expedia nessuno ha risposto e solo alla terza telefonata un portiere finalmente mi ha detto le procedure che avrei dovuto fare: ma peccato che ormai i termini di modifica erano scaduti. Così l'ospite singolo ha dovuto pagare per forza la doppia piena a causa di un evidente disservizio dell'albergo.

E' la seconda volta volta che soggiorniamo in questo hotel, e ci piace moltissimo. Un paio di appunti però: abbiamo prenotato per tre (2 adulti ed una bambina di 4 anni), la prenotazione prevedeva un letto king size ma non lo era e non avevamo un lettino per la bimba. Si stava stretti, hanno poi messo in camera un letto da campeggio. La prenotazione era per due notti, il secondo giorno, quando hanno rifatto la camera non sono state rimesse le confezioni di bagnoschiuma.

Alles bestens, die angegebenen Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es allerdings nicht - es gibt zwar eine Tiefgarage, aber man findet weder durch die vielen Einbahnstraßen zum Hotel, noch kann man in den engen Gassen mit dem Auto einfach dort hineinfahren, dazu war es besetzt… es gibt allerdings einen ca. 5 Gehminuten entfernten kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz für alle Besucher der Innenstadt, den wir genutzt haben.
Die Ausstattung sieht gut aus, hier und da funktioniert aber etwas nicht (mehr), wie in unserem Fall die Whirlpool-Düsen in der Badewanne, was sehr schade war.
Das Personal ist sehr nett, sympathisch und spricht hervorragend englisch, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war groß und es hat gut geschmeckt.

l'hotel si trova a pochi passi dalla stazione ferroviaria in pieno centro cittadino.
Lo staff è cordiale e disponibile.
La camera confortevole e pulita.

Delusa

Ci vado spesso in quel hotel e mi sono trovata delusa. In camera era pieno di moscerini che davano molto fastidio. Il water era pieno di carta igienica. (Usato prima del mio arrivo?).Non c’erano tende quindi dovevo rimanere con la luce invece della finestra aperta la mattina, nessuna luminosità. Delusa visto il prezzo che si paga.

Wir haben beim DuoMo Hotel eine Suite gebucht. Auf dem Bildern war überall der Jacuzzi zusehen, er war auch der Grund weshalb wir die Suite buchten. Habe DuoMo Sicherheitshalber abgerufen und Sie meinten ja, eine Nachricht habe ich auch geschickt aber auf die keine Antwort bekommen.
Angekommen hatten wir leider keinen. Sehr schade.
Als wir ankamen war in der Whirlwanne braune Haare und eins war auch im Bett. Außerdem war in der Whirlwanne auch rote Flecken, sah auf wie Lippenstift. Die Möbel hatten Risse und zum Teil Flecken.
Leider gab es kein Deutsches Fernsehen und keine Möglichkeit für Netflix etc. da der Fernseher nicht auf dem neusten Stand war. In unserem Zimmer konnten wir uns nicht mit dem WLAN vom Hotel verbinden.

Aber abgesehen von diesen Dingen war es trotzdem sehr schön und der Service war super nett, check In und Out funktionierte reibungslos und beim Check In durften wir sogar früher rein ohne zusatzkosten.

Frühstück gab es keine große Auswahl aber es hat gereicht.

Waren zufrieden aber leider nicht das was wir wollten. Würde nicht nochmal für den Preis hingehen.

Stanze pulite e cambio quotidiano della biancheria. Mi attendevo un ambiente più confortevole per un 4stelle: no frigobar in camera, no ristorante,colazione poco varia, wifi non funzionante nelle stanze. Da sito di prenotazione sembrava che vi fosse una palestra, invece ho appreso che solo alcune camere vi sono provviste privatamente. Personale cordiale e disponibile.

Lässiges Hotel in guter zentraler Lage. Das Badezimmer ist allerdings total unpraktisch eingerichet, ohne Licht über dem Spiegel.

Achtung: Hotelbeschreibung auf Expedia nicht korrekt; das Hotel ist nicht am Strand.
Ansonsten: Personal sehr freundlich, Sauberkeit bis auf Staub ok.
