The bathroom was horrible. The shower door would fall off the rails and water would accumulate to your ankles. Addressed the issue to the front desk and the man at the desk said they know and happens all the time. We booked a room at the hotel we thought we had booked but when we showed up they sent us to another hotel that was farther then from what we booked and had to cross a major road to get to the room

Accommodating, clean and conveniently located.

Service was excellent. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, and we were allowed to leave our bags so we could grab a bite and then were allowed to check in about an hour early.

Address given was incorrect. They sent us to another address a few blocks away who then sent us to a different building (they have several apartments converted to rooms). Didn’t expect much for the price but the shower head was broken and the shower drained so slowly we had to keep shutting off the shower in order to not flood the place.

Excellent Security 3 Blocks From Roma Termini

The primary building of the 4 in this hotel complex is located at Via Varese, 5 and is the one I like to stay at as it has 24-hour desk personnel on duty and safe boxes in the rooms. When another building of the 4 I was assigned to didn't have either, the manager upgraded me at no charge to a larger room in the Via Varese, 5 building that had a safe box at no charge. This building has excellent security and is only 2-3 blocks from Rome's main train station, Roma Termini, which is great. My room showed its age and could definitely use a refresh, but it is very basic, functional, and clean so the price is reasonable for what you get. The management and other personnel are very friendly and helpful and I stay here all the time when I stop over for my short stays in Rome and will continue to do so in the future.

The location is close to Termini Train Station, metro station, and bus station which is perfect. (around 5 mins walk max)
We stayed for 2 nights.
1st night was a nightmare, 1st on Check In there was a man that asked us about our religion and started to tell us about Islam and how we should wear! And the room he gave us was not the same one that we booked! It was a very tiny and dirty room! Especially when we told him about the pillow sheets he told us that they forgot to change it! Then there was a problem with the AC and there was no wifi! They told us that there was a problem with the wifi but it’s not from their side (noting that in the reception there was a wifi) so dunno how! Then at night when we came back to have our shower the towels were very dirty!! We went down to complain and we took other towels! We didn’t sleep at all on the 1st night!
Then morning, there were a lady on the reception that was so kind and changed our room and we were surprised that there were wifi and only where we was first we didn’t have (which is the man I think his name was Hasan was lying !!!) The second night room was better and bigger, but overall for cleanliness they can be better!

The location is different from when I book the property, the actual address is \"VIALE CASTRO PRETORIO 25 / Palma Residences in Rome\" which is another 10 min walk from the original address. The check-in staff request us to pay for the reasonable city tax, but he ONLY accepts cash we do not bring too much cash travelling in Italy. In the end, he DOES have a card machine that he just somehow doesn't want to use, so we could pay the tax using a credit card after all.
The room is very old and outdated. The floor seems to mop but is not super clean. The towels provided are heavily used. The AC is really strong which is nice. The shower is very tiny, just able to fit 1 person without turning too much. The showerhead has lots of moulds too.

Overall I would want to stay in this place ever again.

We were lucky that we had an upgrade for the room. We had a lot of space for the two of us, in a four person room. The residence lays near by the center city, which makes it easy to walk in and to the area.

I booked 2 rooms. When we checked in about 7 pm, the hotels transferred us to Palma Residence, Building 2, which is very old and dirty residence, without telling us in advance. Receptionists is so so but the cleaning lady named Elisa is wonderful. She was very kind and helpful in assisting us to put luggages in the storage in Palma Residence, building 1 where we thought we would be staying there. Thanks much Elisa. In short, we are very disappointed and will never come back this residence. It needs to be improved in cleanliness and room amenities.

The room given was in the basement with no ventilation/no window. No extra blankets or pillows were provided on request. The person said, that is not possible.TV remote control was missing. We were claustrophobic and could not sleep. Left the room very early in the morning.

The design is not new or modern but the room and bathroom is very clean. Everyday, somebody makes the bed which is unexpectedly amazing.
Got a tv and air con in the room.
It’s a good price to stay there.

They tried sending me to a completely different building than the place I originally booked. Super rude and unprofessional. I walked to the other building and couldn’t even find the entrance other than a huge locked metal gate. Gave up on the place entirely and walked to another hotel. Do not book this place, it is garbage.

The pros: the location close to Termini Station; lots of good restaurants in the area; located in a relatively quiet and safe area. The room was clean and well-maintained.

The con: the bed was incredibly hard and painful to sleep on; the pillows were so thin as to be essentially non-existant.

I would probably stay here again because of the price, but they could invest in a few pillowtops for the mattresses.

The property was very close to the train and bus station, which was incredibly convenient. The staff was very nice and friendly.
Other than that, this property was awful. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the occupants next door as though they are sitting right next to you. The walls were covered in markings and needed to be cleaned and painted. The toilet seat was scratched/worn. The shower head holder was broken and we had to hold the shower head up to rinse off. The bed was hard as a rock, made slightly better only when we put the comforter under us.
The photos are incredibly deceiving.

Close to Termini Train Station, metro station and bus station. The hotel area is a bit dark and quiet at night. Hard to find the hotel because you cannot see the sign from the street. Breakfast with pastry and coffee only in a cafe few minutes walk away. Does not worth the extra we paid. The room is ok for the price.

Our stay in Palma Residence was good, only noticed some mosquito bites on our first night, I bought a repellant after.
They replaced our towels everyday, but the comforter provided possessed a foul smell.

Near Roma Termini, but safe and quiet

I stay here every time I transit through Rome for a day or two on general travel in the Mediterranean area or coming or going from a cruise ship. The advantages of this hotel, are its dependability, location just 3.5 blocks from the main train station, Roma Termini, and despite the dicey and very seedy area around the train station, the hotel is secure and in a quiet neighborhood. The small breakfast is adequate to get you started and the rooms are very good value for the money. Usually its pretty quiet, but this time around it was noisy caused by some hotel guests obviously not used to traveling, but they quieted down. I definitely will stay here the next time I\"m in Rome and value the location and overall value it provides.

Good hotel with great location

We stayed for 5 nights in Palma Residence. It is conveniently located near Roma Termini (the central train station of Rome). This made it easy to reach the place even late in nights as the area around was abuzz with activity with restaurants open till 11:30pm. The staff was friendly and available 24 hrs. Room was clean and daily cleaning was up to the mark. Bed, washroom, AC (yes it was hot), linen were all in good shape to ensure a comfortable stay.

The room was in an apartment building about a 5-minute walk from the check-in office. The building was dirty and the room looked old. The curtains were torn and we're falling off the windows. The room was clean but just ok. The wifi did not work and there was no cellular service either. Close to restaurants and the train station.

The desk clerk informed us that we must pay 3.50 euro per person per night for a \"City Tax\" Since we had already paid online and he would not give us a room with out it we had no choice but to pay. Upon inquire with others there is not such thing as a city tax and we were taken advantage of at Palma Residence

Like getting into Fort Knox. Felt like being in a prison cell. Toilets smelt of drains consistently, cracked toilet seat. Room was clean and minimalistic. Breakfast was in price but poor and at a cafe around the corner although the service here was good, along with the food that we bought. Needs cracks in walls to be addressed, not worth the money we paid!

Nice hotel close to train station

Good cheap hotel, close to train, 25 min from trevi. Far from most sightseeing but close to collesium. Also worth it if u don't mind the long walk or like myself to take the metro one way and walk back the rest! Enjoy your time in Rome!

I've been to this hotel before and came back again. It is on a quiet side street a couple of blocks from the main train station in Rome, Roma Termini. The rooms are very clean and modern. The hotel is very secure and the staff is helpful. Like much of urban Rome, the characters in the neighborhood are very seedy, but such is life and I don't hold this against the hotel, which is otherwise very good. The breakfast, however, is only on sweet roll at a resturant a few blocks away, but its enough to get me on my way for site seeing.

Stay Away From This Hotel

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!! It's nothing like the pictures you see on this web site. You book a room at Via Varese, 5, but they put you in another hotel a few blocks away on an extremely busy street, with heavy traffic at all hours of day and night, with not even glass in the windows to keep the noise down. Most likely you will not sleep!

Close to Rome termini station

The reception is in one building and rooms are in 3 other separate locations nearby. This wasn't what I expected and made the checking in process longer. I booked two rooms for an overnight family stay and they were functionally just about OK. However, the shower in one didn't work properly and twice the power to the building tripped in the short time we were there. Because there was no reception in the building we were in we had to find the master fuse box and reset. For the purpose of being close to the station, and as it was only one night, it was fine but the facilities are pretty poor and not as described on the website.

At the time of arrival there was no rooms available where I originally had booked. They got 3 different apartments in 3 different buildings as well as area's. They dump people according to arrival time. They took us to different building apartment with 3 sharing rooms where it was open toilet, 8 sqmt twin room made it as king size, shower tied with ropes, no flush, noisy drunk neighbors and no reception desk or security. To take your PAID breakfast, you must go to the main hotel which called block A after 2 streets. Its a pity and shame. I will post few hotel and room pictures shortly linked to the same. Please pay additional 10 euro and stay in luxury hotels.

Palma residence-close to the termini station

We arived at 10.30am and where allowed to check in at 12. We took the triple room, the room was clean but it was really really small. The walls were paper thin so you could hear everything around you, the room was close to reception so we could hear guests checking in and out and pulling their luggage everywhere. The AC was good. Breakfast was in another hotel 2 min walk. The neighborhood was safe. The staff were really helpful showing us where we can go and how to get there and providing maps. The room is basic only meant for you to sleep in and not spend the day in it. Over all it was convieniet for the week stay that we booked and I would recommend it as it was close to the station, clean and in a safe neighborhood

Disappointing Stay Misleading Location and Poor

I wouldn’t stay at Hotel Palma again. When I booked, the hotel location shown was close to Roma Termini, but upon arrival, I found out the actual address was different. The hotel is in another building, farther away from the station, which was misleading. That alone was already frustrating, but it got worse. The room I was given had serious issues with cleanliness and maintenance. The bathroom drain was clogged every time I showered or brushed my teeth, dirty water came back up through the drain. I informed the reception, and their only attempt to fix it was with a sink plunger, which obviously didn’t work. Even with the ongoing issue, they didn’t offer me another room or any compensation. I had to stay the entire time with a bad smell and an unusable bathroom, which was very uncomfortable. The overall maintenance of the room was poor, and the cleaning standards left much to be desired. Given the misleading address and the poor handling of a basic issue like drainage, I would not recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Una zona muy bien comunicada. Con una parada de bus justo al frente y Termini a unos minutos andando. Entiendo que por el precio, no vamos a encontrar algo de lujo. Pero las paredes estaban manchadas, la cama matrimonial eran dos individuales pegadas, la ducha estaba rota.

Ótima localização próxima ao termini. Um dos atendentes foi muito atencioso quando chegamos, porém, o outro nos tratou mal desde o primeiro dia e inclusive chegou a ofender em algum momento.

Está bien para pasar algunos días en Roma. En nuestro caso no funcionaba el frigobar, dijeron que lo repararian pero nunca lo hicieron. El calefactor para la noche tampoco funcionaba bien. Habia ruidos en la calle. Zona centrica y cerca de Termini. El personal es atento aunque con serios problemas de comunicación por el idioma.

Lo recomiendo para una opción económica pero de calidad en Roma! El barrio en el que se encuentra es muy tranquilo y con restaurantes muy recomendables, en menos de media hora caminando estás en cualquier lugar turístico. La habitación es suficiente, tiene nevera y las camas son cómodas. El baño es amplio y hay servicio de limpieza y cambio de toallas a diario. El personal es muy amable, volveríamos a alojarnos sin duda!

Ho alloggiato nella sede di via Castro Pretorio e la struttura ha superato le mie aspettative: la stanza è pulitissima, il personale è gentilissimo e c'è una fermata dell'autobus proprio fuori dal cancello. Perfetto per chi ha bisogno di un alloggio low cost dove dormire senza particolari pretese.

ネット上に表記されているホテルの住所に行くと、そこから歩いて5分ほどのところにある別の場所に行くよう案内されました。いずれにしてもテルミニ駅の近くで、フィウミチーノ空港に向かうには便利な場所でした。タオルがちょっと汚れていたのが気になりました。

Como es normal, tú acudes a la recepción del hotel para recoger las tarjetas y poder entrar a tu habitación. Por ello, pusimos la ubicación en Google y nos llevó al hotel. Cuando entramos, el recepcionista serio que había, nos dijo que ese no era el edificio donde nos alojaríamos: el nuestro estaba mucho más lejos del centro. Pienso que cuando reservas hotel en una ciudad como Roma, donde te mueves caminando, la distancia es muy importante. Y si yo reservo y pago por estar en una localización debo de alojarme ahí.
Cuando llegamos al edificio que nos correspondía, entramos y nos atendió un hombre simpático.
La habitación de techo alto, nueva y moderna. Muy bien por esa parte.
Cuando salimos, había un hombre italiano que fue muy antipático con nosotras. Le preguntamos si podíamos dejar las maletas, nos puso mala cara y nos dijo que volviésemos antes de las 22:00. Le dijimos que nuestro vuelo salía a las 19:00h y que por ello estaríamos ahí sobre las 16:00h.
Cuando llegamos a recoger las maletas, mi compañera se sentó en una de las sillas que hay enfrente de la recepción porque necesitaba descansar y el hombre nos miraba mal en silencio invitándonos así a que nos fuéramos.
Me llevé una decepción muy grande ya que leía comentarios en la web muy buenos acerca del personal. Llego ahí y nunca me he sentido tan incómoda. No es normal que de tres trabajadores, solo uno fuera amable.
En definitiva, mi crítica va hacia la ubicación y hacia el personal.
