Room, toilet & showers were pretty clean. Staff were helpful and speak different languages. Fun bar right down stairs. Walking distance from the train/bus station. And right in room. Would definitely recommend booking here. Only thing is wifi isn’t so great and you won’t get much quiet since there’s a bar right down stairs. Overall a pretty good hostel

Overall the Alessandro was good! We enjoyed our private room. The location is great with restaurants right outside the front door. The front desk people were very helpful at all times. We didn’t love shower pressure was so harsh it sprayed water all over our bathroom even with the curtain. But overall would stay again.

Perfect hostel for backpackers, groups of friends and solo travellers. Reception staff are welcoming, professional, and available throughout the night. My mixed dorm was clean, comfortable and all the amenities were much appreciated (Large, free locker with lots of storage space, 2-plug socket right next to each bed, chairs, a table and clean fresh bedding.)
Downstairs there is a bar where guests hang out, have a drink and talk with other travellers & from 10pm-1am there is karaoke. There is a free-to-use kitchen with loads of seating space, a large fridge and is equipped with all the cooking utensils one might need, as well as a microwave and 2 hobs. A huge surprise for me was the showers, which were just perfect in every way. They were clean, spacious, the water pressure was just right and no issues with the hot water. Make sure to bring your own towel as this is not provided, but that is expected as it’s not a hotel establishment. Toilets are equally as clean and accessible. The hostel is located literally less than 5 mins walk away from Rome Termini which is the main train station with an abundance of bus stops - very convenient for if you’ve booked a bus/coach ticket from the airport to the station or vice versa. It only took me ~25 minutes to walk into the centre of Rome (where trevi fountain, pantheon are) so this is also easily doable if you’re struggling to navigate the metro. Alessandro palace and bar is absolutely worth the money and i can’t recommend it enough.

This is a fine place to stay. There’s nothing spectacular about it but for a stay in rome it’s good. It’s nice that it’s close to the train station but a pretty far walk to anything else but we don’t mind walking.

ممتاز، ولو رجعت لروما وادور هوستل بسكن فيه

الهوستل نظيف، تعامل الموظفين على مستوى عالي.. تبريد المكيفات ممتاز ، يعيبها انهم يطفونها النهار.
شخصيا مدينة زي روما فضلت اني انوم شوي الظهر عن الحرارة وقلة الفعاليات خلال هالوقت، خاصة ان روما حية مساء.

ميزته اللي خلتني اختاره قربه من محطة روما ترمني وهي المحطة الاساسية يبدو لي ومنها القطار ينطلق لبقية المدن والارات ، وايضا فيها محطة تجمع باصات ومترو.

Great location for the hostel and great hostel! They came in and cleaned the beds/sheets as well as the floor and bathroom after every checkout I witnessed during my stay. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke English, too.
There is a tax you have to pay in cash (I believe it was about 4 euros a night) and 2 euros cash deposit for the room key. But you get that back if you return the key. There are free maps of Rome, they have a bar and vending machine. There are some restaurants right outside of the hostel, too. Great place.

Friendly staff and reasonable rates!

Location and price was great. However, no towel service and the elevator not working made a little bit uncomfortable The kitchen was not a pretty picture either, but the staff is real friendly so that was good. Overall I like it, since I only stayed there for two nights and it was only to sleep and go.

It was a short stay and we were exhausted after touring the city all day, so no interactions with other guests but the hostel seemed to put on a number of social events throughout the week. Private room was clean and comfortable.

Great Location, but had some sacrifices

The location was the best part about this hostel. 5 minute walk to the train station and easily acceaaible to transit or a brief walk to the tourist attractions. The rooftop patio is something everyone has to go up to when staying here. Happy hour is very cheap, but the experience alone is fantastic. On the negative side, the rooms were pretty bare and the lockers were too small for my bag (45L backpack). The washroom also didn't have any pressure in the shower and it was either really hot or hot for the temperature settings.

Be forewarned...this is a party hostel, and that is fine if that’s what you are looking for. However, if you are looking for a place to have a good night sleep...avoid this place like the plague. They host a party every night of the week and goes on until 1 or 2 in the morning.

Great place but didnt feel like a hostel

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is less than 10 mins to the main station - Termini. It's not too close to the touristy sites like Trevi and Colosseum but I kinda like that so its not too crowded. There's of course restaurants around the area.

The rooms were clean and nicely quiet for sleep but the bedrooms were dark and felt more of a motel. They had a terrace for social hour and that's the easiest way to meet people but if you dont go to that and the social events like pub crawl, the set up of the shared spaces and rooms didnt feel conducive to meeting people. It just didnt really feel like a hostel.

Its a great price for a clean place to stay. But if youre looking for a lot of social feels, this may not be best.

Its a cozy place in the heart of Rome. You do not have go go out to drink local beer or wine. They have it downstairs in their bar and the pizza place that satisfies your Rome experienced is just 100 steps outside.

Returned after a good experience during a previous visit. Stayed in the dorm on Christmas Eve. No towels available to take a shower. The guy working the desk in the eve was rude and told me I needed to stock up on food because nothing would be open for Christmas and gave me directions to (his friend's?) store. Ventured into the cold to stock up only to discover the next day that everything was open. I guess the joke was on me- won't be returning.

Not as clean as it looks like in the pictures, they have smelly garbage bins right on the sides of the entrance. the room cleanness was acceptable. there is no kitchen available, I had to borrow a fork and knife from the barman. The microwave is not easy to access and I had to ask them to use it. but it was ok in overall.

Room is comfortable, nice to have separate toilet from washing basins. Wifi is fast but the signals fluctuate too much causing disconnect from time to time. The shower is hard to control the water and temperature, prefer one that can be pulled out.

This was the first time going to Italy and I have to say that it was pretty good. The hostel was great and the staff was really helpful. They speak different languages (spanish, english, italian). My room was pretty big and the cleaning staff came every day around 3pm. They have lockers but you have to bring your own lock. I met different people most of them were really nice. The only \"bad\" thing was that they were remodeling when I was there and sometimes it was a little bit loud but most of the time I was outside so It didn't really bother me. The location is great, It's 6 or 7 minutes away from Termini and its around 15 to 20 minutes away from the Colosseum and 30 minutes away from the Trevi Fountain. I walked most of the time because everything was pretty close. There is a lot of restaurants around the hostel. I would definitely go back to this Hostel.

Close to Rome main station, convenient area

The hostel is close to the Rome main station. There are lots of trains to all cities in Italy. Also the metro A and B lines stop at the main station. Buses and trams as well. Very convenient location.
Restaurants, bars and shops nearby. You can buy and eat all your need within steps.
The room is clean and fresh. Seems like newly refurbished.

friendly hostel close to train station

I stayed in this hostel for 4 nights in Rome, and it was a great place to crash and meet new people. There's serviceable wifi, and a place to rest weary feet after walking all over the city. It's pretty party-centered in the main areas, so it's ridiculously distracting if you want to work or study, but there's also a hidden little room downstairs that stays quiet. It's a clean hostel, fresh bedding every night...but claim your bed quick because the last one in the room gets whatever is left over!

Great Social Hostel

Good hostel, close to everything. If youre close to termini, youre close to it all. They run pub crawls every few nights, highly recommend attending especially if you wanna meet new people. The Yellow is right next to it which is where we spent a few nights partying. It was like a 20min walk to the Colosseum. Highly recommend this hostel.

Fun hostel with nice staff and activities

My stay for 3 nights was great. The room was clean. The lockers are a little small so I couldn't put my whole suitcase in there, but I had locks so that was okay. There are a lot of outlets in the room which is nice, plus AC and mini fridge. The beds were pretty comfortable and the bed was made. Even though they are bunk beds they aren't connected so moving doesn't shake the whole thing for the other person which is great. There is also a private shower and toilet. Plus there was a hair dryer in the room. Not much for lobby/hang out area, besides the bar. They throw events like pub crawls and such. I went on one. It was fun. Was definitely catered to very young college Americans. Being 29, I felt a little too old for that, but it was okay. Overall, a great experience.

Place is good for a temp stop or a night. If you go on a Sat, good chances that you wont be able to sleep because people would walk in at 3 / 4 am in the morning, probably drunk. Not recommended for couples.

A pleasant stay

Spent two days here. Very pleased. Staff very friendly, hostel facilities incl. kitchen quite satisfactory. Free luggage room for early arrival until check in. 2 euro/12h locker room for use on day of leave. I would very well stay here another time. Neighbourhood is a bit but not far away from the most central Rome, it is actually quite nice to get back to Castro Pretorio after having been in the heavily crowded areas of the city. I usually walk back here (been in this neighborhood many times) but buses and metro are quite close. Lots of cafes, bars, restaurants around. The hostel is just a few minutes walk from Termini and supermarkets/other shops.

Equipe de atendimento super solícita, educada e tenta ajudar ao máximo, mesmo meu inglês sendo o mesmo de uma criança de 1 ano kkkkk
Hostel bem seguro com os cartões de acesso aos quartos, armários (como bom mochileiro, leve seu cadeado), tomadas nos beliches e roupa de cama limpa e quentinha. Só um detalhe que acredito que seja simples de melhorar que são os dois banheiros do segundo piso que estão sem divisória, daí quando toma banho molha tudo e os beliches do 212 fazem muito barulho, mas nada que eu já não estivesse acostumado. A vantagem é que não fica longe de nada. Duas esquinas e você tá na estação termini e uns 10 minutos de caminhada você está no coliseu, fora que a redondeza é cercada de bares e restaurantes, o que deixa a área segura pra andar até tarde.

Ci ero già venuto al u e volte anni fa, ma ora la struttura è stata completamente rinnovata ed è molto accogliente con personale davvero gentile, simpatico e sempre disponibili a risolvere qualsiasi inconveniente. Consiglio la struttura per i giovani e non per le famiglie, poiché l'atmosfera è molto movimentata, c'è anche della musica la sera al piano bar. Per chi cerca massima tranquillità e silenzio, forse è poco adatto. I prezzi sono davvero eccellenti confrontato la qualità dell'alloggio è i servizi offerti. Lenzuola, materasso e cuscino super puliti!

Lots of noice the whole night, some technical problem with thé suage system in the morning so no water for 30 min. Maybe good for solo backpackers in the shared rooms but not for couples in the private room. Very high price (we paid high season price) for value.

Buona Accoglienza con personale gentile e situato non lontano dalla stazione
La stanza era al completo con 8 persone e letti piccoli.
Le stanze erano sporche con cattivi odori bagni con doccia piccolissimo con tende della doccia da bianche erano tutte bere mi faceva schifo lavarmi in quello sgabuzzino non so come sono applicate le regole d’igiene 😭ve lo sconsiglio e meglio pagare una 10€ in più e stare meglio e non passare la notte in quel posto
