Very minimalist hotel. I booked a standard room for 3 nights but I was shocked to see that the bathroom does not come with dental or hygiene kit, no toilet brush, the room does not come with an iron for ironing clothes - I was given the worse vertical steamer which was painful to use. There is no tea/coffee in the room, no complimentary water; no safe to keep valuable items. Also, the hotel wifi looses signal half the time. Also, the breakfast trays are not refilled immediately, certain food trays are empty by 9:30am and it would take 15 minutes to be refilled.

On the good side, the hotel is very clean. The rooms and beddings are sparkling clean.

Very nice!

Really nice place with comfortable room. Staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for exploring the area. Just wish they had some complimentary coffee in the room or lobby. Plenty of nearby cafes, though, and fun place to walk and see the historic walled city.

Good stopover but plz be considerate when staying

Good, clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. However, as usual it’s the guests that spoil it! Slamming doors as midnight & after is never courteous & the group partying in the adjacent room to ours were just inconsiderate. It’s a busy hotel so therefore, quite noisy, especially during the night - we asked for a quiet room but the hotel staff can’t be held responsible for my fellow guests who don’t have any consideration. Parking was free, easy & a bonus & it’s a 15-20 minute walk from the old town & station which is reasonable for a city.

Clean modern city hotel

Hotel easily accessible from rd links with secure parking.
After initial mix up telling us no booking held reception found our reservation and room was good. Easy walk from hotel to centre of Lucca enough restaurants nearby to use. Room cleaned /laundry everyday if u wanted it.
Coffee Tea facilities in room would be useful for this grade of hotel (whilst available in reception area for a charge not everyone wants to mix with other guests)

Sorry to have to give this generally excellent hotel and average mark but it is let down by a terrible breakfast offering. On my 3 day stay I arrived for breakfast 1 hour before the stated end. Each time there were no hot items left, minimal fruits and a few stale rolls. I understand that there is a need to reduce wastage, but as a customer I had paid €13 each day and expected better than this. I requested scrambled eggs and this was provided but there was no indication that the staff would have offered this had I not asked. Simply unacceptable in 4* hotel.

The property is convenient next to the motorway and has easy access. It is 15 min walk to the old town( we did use a stop watch 😀). We were able to get a quick breakfast close by at a local coffee shop. Our only concern was that we were able to hear people in the neighbour g room. We could hear their conversations and coughing and did point this out to the front desk staff. They said that unfortunately they were booked and could not offer us another room.

The facility was comfortable, modern, very clean and staff friendly. My only disappointment was the price of breakfast and distance to the walked city of Lucca. A real Italian breakfast is available for less than 5 euro just don’t expect an American breakfast as that was discontinued due to lack of interest.

Affordable drive by hotel

Room was on the main floor across the parking so curtains had to be closed if you did not want to have people looking in. Air condition worked only on max or nothing and even on max it became cool only about midnight. TV didn't work and there was nobody available to fix it. Staff was acceptable but below average. Price was good however, so you get what you are paying for.
Good things: easy to find, clean room, good breakfast (a must as no coffee shop around), free parking, gas station just around the corner and large grocery store next to the hotel. Walk to the beautiful old town along busy street (I think it may be spooky at night) about 20 min. Return taxi 8 Euro.

I booked two standard rooms for 4 nights: it was supposed to be a four star hotel and it was very expensive. The rooms were small considering how much I paid for them. The air conditioning was extremely noisy and in fact, leaked. Water gushing out of it on the third night. I complained the first morning about the noise, which also included the clanking of water pipes and poor double glazing. But the hotel did not change our room until the water poured out of the air conditioning at 3am in the morning. We are convinced from the response given to us on the night the water leaked that the hotel management were all aware of the problems with the air conditioning. The hotel website points to a walk of 15 minutes into Lucca but does not tell you that there isn't a safe and proper pedestrian pavement to the road into town. We had to walk out into oncoming traffic to get to Concordia to walk into town. The breakfast was very, very poor: the food was uncovered, with fruit flies hovering. There was never any hot food left by the time we got to breakfast (9am). The eggs were replenished once after we insisted but we never saw any other hot food. The bread and the coffee was also appalling. The fruit juice had never seen a fruit for sure. A terrible waste of money. I have never been so tired on any holiday ever. The staff in reception were OK. I'll never book with Eurostars or Expedia again.

Hotel is located in a shabby neighborhood. Because I booked room with discount they gave me room on the 1 floor. Room had a strong bad smell because of the problem with drain system. When I complained about the smell I was told that they don't have another available room. Breakfast also wasn't good.

The hotel is a base to travel from and too. It’s a modern hotel not dissimilar to a Travelodge. Rooms are adequate but, the breakfast is appalling. They should make a charge for it and then use some quality products rather than making it inclusive and using the cheapest food. Apart from that it’s fairly cheap to stay so, you make your choice.

We booked this unbelievable expansive hotel via Expedia, this is not 4 star hotel, the service and room as well as breakfast just like 3 stars. Hotel is near trifficking road and very noise. The listed price by Expedia is not correct and extremely over pricing. This hotel is poorest one during our trip in Italy.

Our room over looked the Mc Donalds which says a lot about location... this is a great practical place to stay if passing through and you need quick access to autostrada. Not the most romantic Lucca hotel or location. 30 min walk to piazza Ampitheatro.

The breakfast is ok. Cheese fruit bread basically. But an Nescafe instant coffee machine which is inexcusable. No excuse for bad coffee in Italy..

Staff was kind and helpful. But in the morning at checkout there was often one person which made for long waiting. Even if you just had a question.

The hotel was lovely. Clean, good facilities and the staff were all lovely and helpful. The breakfast was ok but nothing amazing. The dinner menu was limited but nice.
Although the hotel was lovely the location had its good and bad points. It was located 10 minutes walk to the centre of Lucca (which was beautiful) but it was also situated on a main road and right next door to a McDonalds which is very well used, (but not by us)!!!
We hired a car which I think was essential to get out and about, (navigating can be tricky!!!) we spent lovely days in Pisa and Viareggio which has a beautiful sandy beach and pier.

No problems with hotel but it is situated beside 2 abandoned buildings which took away from the attractiveness of the hotel. On the other side was a McDonald's that was very nice and clean. It was located very close to the autostrada and about a 15 minute walk to the old walled city of Lucca. The buffet breakfast was great but not traditional American fare. Staff was very professional and helpful. There is also free parking there.

We stayed there to see Luca, which was close and easy to find thanks to the hotel staff.
Although we had booked a smoking room, we were given a non smoking room, which we could change afterwards.
Neighbourhood was rather loud due to the highway next to the hotel.
Parking was convenient.

Conveniently next to the highway, but still very quiet. It's not pretty, but the interior is nice. About a 15 min walk into the old city of Lucca, so very handy and could leave the car in the free lot. Included breakfast was very nice. Only issue was that the room smelled a bit smokey.

Eurostars Toscana is not a 4* hotel: the room had damp and peeling walls and poor lighting. The bathroom door is a piece of glass that does not fully close, meaning going to the toilet is not a private experience if you're sharing a room with someone. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection of cake, but apart from that there is only pineapple, meats, cheeses and some questionable hot dog and scrambled egg. The bed sheets were changed once in our 4 night stay. Reception staff were sometimes helpful, but continued their own conversations before dealing with customers, with me having to chase up a taxi that had gone missing after being called 30 minutes earlier. I would not stay here again, or recommend to a friend and I feel we were well over charged for our stay.

Nice hotel with helpful staff. My primary complaint was there was no AC because Italy has some law concerning how early the AC can be turned on. Weird, especially when the temperature gets warm. Also, be care to not miss your tun into the hotel. If you do, you will go a long way trying to get back.

Stay here! The hotel was fabulous I have stayed at a few Italian hotels and this one blows them away it is the little things like tiles in the bathroom were straight. The location was good right off the AutoStada with very good food options with in walking distance. Other thoughts the breakfast was also on point even had an Drip coffee maker, WiFi was strong and the Bike you see are great to use to ride to the walled part of town.

The hotel was good, clean, well situated except for two niggles:
1. It was very hot inside, despite being freezing weather. We called up the staff and they suggested opening the window, which we did, and problem solved.
2. The door to the bathroom does not lock - in fact it does not even \"close\" in the normal sense of the word, because by design it's one of these modern all-glass doors in a stainless steel frame with about a 1 cm gap on all 4 sides between the glass and the frame. The hinges and the door frame don't have stops, so if you try to \"close\" it, it simply keeps going past the center position and \"opens\" out the other side. We got around this by wedging a piece of tissue paper between the door and the frame so it would stay put in the closed position, but I rated room comfort 4 out of 5 as in general I prefer to have a bathroom door that locks.

The Hotel was easy to find, and parking is conveniently located behind it. The Hotel staff was friendly and spoke English. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the en suite bathroom was VERY modern. The Hotel has an elevator. The buffet breakfast was the BEST we experienced in Italy and consisted of various cereals, scrambled eggs, ham, sliced meats, cheese, yogurts, bread, rolls, pastries, fruit, juices, coffee, tea, milk. We drove a short distance to the city. A McDonalds restaurant is located next to the Hotel.

Couldn't give it a higher review because.......

We couldn't get help recovering forgotten items. During our stay the room was great as was stall. The hotel was a bit far from old Lucca but we could even forgive that. What we couldn't forgive was that we forgot 3 items in a drawer in our room and the hotel was completely inflexible about mailing them to us (which could have been done easily. Our only recourse was a delivery service OR take train back from Cinque Terra. Bad service if you ask me!!!!!!!
