Great staff but hotel is lacking. The location is good for travel but the area itself seemed very run down with lots of grafitti, dirty and people living on the streets begging. The underground metro is just metres from the hotel which is handy but keep close eye on your surroundings as my husband was targetted by a pick pocket as we walked up the stairs from the metro back to the hotel. He felt something tugging on his coat and his pocket being opened, luckily he realised in time so the thief didnt manage to take anything. We did not see him coming but from what we're told, this is very a common thing to happen.
The hotel itself was staffed well, staff very helpful and friendly, the rooms were cleaned daily and when we needed some help with an issue, it was dealt with promptly. It states there is a gym but we we're told it is currently under repair. We found the gym on the top floor, it was full of tables and chairs and so not a gym at all but set out as a conference/meeting room. Breakfast with ok, pastries etc were nice but all cooked foods such as eggs and bacon were not kept on hot plates so cold by time they were being eaten. Overall we had a good trip to Rome, but would pick a different hotel/location next time.

The first person I spoke with was rude because I was overcharged, and he was consistently reluctant to assist me with this concern. Also, my friend and I requested double beds and were given a queen-size bed. We then had to wait until the next day to be placed in the correct room. I'm still dealing with trying to get my money back. They do not do refunds or date changes, so please be mindful! Also, they do have an option for a drive to pick you up, and it's 75 euros, so keep that in mind as well!

The hotel was in a great location and had plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, convenience marts, and pharmacies within seconds/minutes of stepping outside. The cleaning could use some help, the inside of the wardrobe was very dusty and had “mold” like marks over the mirror, I ended up living out of my suitcase as I didn’t feel comfortable putting in my things. The hotel and amenities are a little dated, but it’s not like that can’t be seen in the pictures. I stayed in a single bed room, it was perfect for me as a solo person, but the shower stall is small (like very tight- I’m about average build at 5’3). Also I did not have hot water at all, so that kind of sucked. They lack to mention that their plug ins are the 3-hole ones!! So if you’re bringing an adapter make sure you bring a 3-prong one!! The electricity times out as well, so if you have the light on, phone charging, and the tv on, it’ll cause the electricity to go out and you’re stuck waiting anywhere from 1-2hrs. I know this is common in other countries I’ve been too, but a heads up would have been appreciated…. Breakfast was nothing special (eggs, Canadian bacon, pastries, cheese, meats), it was decent, but I appreciated all the friendly waitstaff. With that said, I did enjoy my stay and always felt safe, and would return here again. 7.5/10

Room itself was ok, BUT water in the shower was intermittent at best. You felt lucky if you fought a moment with enough pressure for shower. Electric kettle was provided but the moment you turn it on it shuts down electricity for the entire floor. After two tries I just bought the tea in the bar.

Really good value for money. The hotel was very reasonably priced compared to some other options. The hotel rooms are a bit basic and dated, but clean and suitable if using as a base. The location is excellent. About a 10-15 min walk from Termini and a metro line right outside hotel which gets you to most landmarks using line A. Staff were helpful and friendly. Didn't eat in restaurant so couldn't comment on food there, loads of nearby restaurants/food outlets, but really enjoyable stay on a budgetted hotel room. Would stay again. Thank you

Hotel staff was friendly, I also liked the convenience of it being near a lot of places. However it did have a weird smell after spending 3 nights in the hotel. Also it looked a little old which I understand since it’s an old hotel. Also, there are many homeless that stay outside near the hotel. Overall a good pick if you’re near the area and need somewhere to stay.

This hotel is for people who do not have high expectations or standards. It’s simple and boring. nothing to it really. Free breakfast was good. Location was right next to Colloseum. The bed was comfy. However
My room was small and had no coffee or tea. There was no where to flush the toilet. The floor was definitely not cleaned or vacuumed. The walls are very thin, you can hear people talking and snoring.

Overall, my stay was very pleasant. I arrived early and was able to store my bags until check-in, which gave me time to explore the area right away.

The room was spacious and clean. The only issue I experienced was with the hot water in the shower. I informed the front desk, and they promptly sent someone to fix it. While it worked that evening, the issue returned the next day. I reported it again, and they quickly sent someone up to resolve it.

The breakfast, however, was fairly mediocre and not something I would choose to include again.

That said, I would still stay here in the future. The location is excellent, and easily walkable from the train station and close to many popular tourist destinations.

There were many issues. First of all, the employees were not very helpful. Secondly, the hotel lacked many of the amenities that were advertised, such as, bar, concierge, room service…there was a restaurant that offered a small, stale breakfast that was more often empty trays than full. The pasties were not fresh. The selection was meek at best. The other restaurant was very limited, half of the small menu was not available. In addition, the restaurant was not open at the dedicated times. My recommendation would be to skip this place!

Beware! You may get scammed with the room they assign to you, and you will never receive a refund. They will say, “This is the last room we have,” and place you in what feels like a storage room. The bed was not properly made, the room was dusty, and the bathroom was unclean. When you raise concerns, they have the audacity to be upset. The entire building smells of cigarette smoke or marijuana. The outside area is creepy and dirty, and people at the entrance are openly smoking weed. If you’re looking for a decent hotel, I would not recommend this place. However, if you want a cheap-looking motel that is overpriced, then this is the hotel for you.

I had a pleasant stay at this Hotel. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location close to many attractions, which made getting around very convenient. The breakfast buffet was also good with a nice variety of options.
However, the receptionist Emanuel was not very friendly and did not provide much information about the WiFi, breakfast, or general hotel details — I had to ask everything myself. On the positive side, the other lady at the reception was very helpful and pleasant to speak with.
Overall, despite the small inconvenience at check-in, the hotel itself was nice and I would consider staying again.

Wonderful stay. The room is large and comfortable and incredibly clean. There are a lot of stairs but the elevators work well and are quick. The staff is efficient. They can organize transfer to the airport for you, which was helpful. Seriously, though, the room. It was so bright and clean and the beds were nice. The location was super convenient, the staff were superb, the interior access problematic (two terribly inconvenient sets of stairs without lift just to reach the only two, widely separated elevators needed to go up to the room floors), narrow corridors on room floors, lovely furnishings, recently remodeled and spotless bathroom, super-comfy bed, paper-thin walls incapable of blocking out late-night noise made by various inconsiderate troglodytes lodging on my same floor, excellent breakfast buffet in hotel, and a fantastic bar-café at ground level with separate entrance next to hotel entrance (Gatsby's) featuring scrumptious cornetti, perfect espresso and tea, and original, super-cool vintage 1950's-1960's décor in multiple-level interior.

This is our third time at this hotel. We appreciate that it is close to the train station, a metro station is literally in front of the hotel and we can walk to the coliseum in 10 minutes! The check in was quick and friendly, the staff warmly greet us when we arrive and exit. The room is perfect for our needs. I always describe this hotel as a “family” style hotel. The location is great, the staff is very friendly, happy hour everyday at the bar and the rooms are perfect for a quiet stay (no windows on the street .. windows are all on a courtyard … so you do not have the noise of the city!). Will come back again !

The Napoleon is a great little hotel for the money! Yes the rooms are a bit small but perfectly fine as I didn’t expect to spend time in my room while in Rome! Everything was clean - the bed was comfortable & the a/c worked fine. The location was great - we easily walked to the Colosseum & other sites, and the Metro station was just steps away. I mistakenly had the wrong check out date and the staff added the extra night for my 2 rooms with no fuss which I greatly appreciated. Could have been a disaster. I would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel Napoleon was a reasonable walking distance from the train station. My family got two rooms; both were clean and well kept. The free breakfast was excellent and the staff did a wonderful job at keeping everything fresh and plentiful. The hotel itself is quite nice. The rooms very comfortable. Everything was quite clean.
The restaurant in the hotel was nice. The rooftop bar was fun. The hotel is conveniently located near enough to the train station to walk, but far enough to not be bothered by it.

Naples, unfortunately is not a very clean, or quiet city. The honking, sirens, motorcycles etc…are more prevalent there than anywhere in Italy. The trash needs to be picked up more often than it is in this city, and the graffiti just adds to Naples poor appearance.

The pictures look better than reality, and the description is not accurate. There are quite a few steps to get to the two elevators that are to be used to get to the rooms,
The rooms are small. Breakfast is adequate. There is no reception on Saturday as advertised, and the bar is not opened every day. Some staff members are smiling and nice, others, not so much.
All in all, the location is great, but I am not convinced that the hotel is a four-stars.
