By far the best experience I have had with a hotel. We received an upgraded suite, the room was spacious and spotless. The hotel has wonderful amenities as well, and a staff that were so friendly and helpful. Fantastic location if you are visiting Seoul for the first time. I hope to come back someday and stay again!

The property is in the heart of seoul and is minutes away from Namdaemun market, Myeongdong, the hanbok villlages, multiple temples and shrines, and more restaurants than you could eat at in a lifetime. The property has a well kept gym and spa facility, along with very friendly staff. Ubers and taxis may have a bit of trouble locating the front and often drop you off in the back of the property.

Excellent stay- large spacious modern apartment, conveniently located close to train station and also to many destinations. It is in the heart of Insadong, the traditional area with lots of restaurants, and close to MyeoungDong for shopping, the palace, etc.

Loved that it was an apartment that allowed my family to be in one space. It was clean and staff was very helpful. We also loved the washer/dryer. However, it was minimally stocked with only one pot and pan. There was no cutting board and the knives were not that sharp. If you’re eating out mostly, it’s a perfect space. If you plan on really using the kitchen, then it will be lacking. Overall, it worked for us. We were there in Jan where it’s freezing outside, but the place was so warm and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the location. Presently, there is construction starting to happen next door. We barely heard it unless we opened the window, but I would imagine to be more disturbing as the building continues into other phases.

The hotel was in a convenient location, just a few minutes away from jongno 3-ga and jonggak station. Front desk staff was also friendly and helpful. However, large improvement is required for the housekeeping team. Not only did they not clean up toilets thoroughly, leaving hair around the floor, they also did not close my room door properly. I was shocked to find my door unlocked when I returned. Also, no bottles of water or water dispensers are provided.

I stayed with my family in 2019, and at that time the room was cleaner, the furniture was in better condition, and the staff were more attentive. During this stay, the staff have been polite and responsive to questions, but they have not been particularly helpful in resolving issues. Still, I will stay again and suggest to anyone who would enjoy multi bedrms.

Orakai Insadong Suites is strategically located in the heart of Insadong but so close to Iksedong, Myeondong, Bukcheon, etc. The room we rented had a spectacular view of the palace, blue house and city. It was spacious and comfortable. Having a large kitchen and refrigerator helped us enjoy dining in as well. Washing machine/dryer was very helpful. Didn't have to bring as much clothes.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Speaking in English as well as Korean was appreciated. We will definitely stay again at Orakai. First time trying the brand and it totally exceeded our expectations.

Everything was great. Location by lots of shops and restaurants. Taxis are available and quick or mass transit is near. Many attractions are within walking distance. Hotel is clean and spacious. Great for families. We had a kitchen that was furnished and clean. Desk staff was very nice and they had english speakers for foriegn tourists like us. All great!

The hotel room was really nice and well accommodated. The location was great as it’s right next to the busy Insadong street and it’s just a 20 min walk to Gyeongbukgung, Changdukgung, Myeongdong, and Bukchon.

The room felt like a real living space rather than a hotel room. My wife and I really appreciated having a washer/dryer unit inside our room (it was not the best washer dryer but it got the job done regardless) and the service staff were really great. Whenever we needed anything, they immediately came to our room and whenever we ordered packages, they put it into our room right as it arrived. The bathroom was especially really nice as it had a separate bathtub and shower. One last thing I would like to mention is that there is so much closet space. I have never seen so much closet space in a hotel room before.

The only reason we’re not giving 5 stars is because the bed and the pillows. The bed was really firm. We like firm beds but this bed so firm that I woke up with sore shoulders almost everyday. The pillows were not great as they provided no support.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others as long as you request a softer bed if that’s available. My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

This is a perfect place to stay if you want to be close to history, culture and shopping in Seoul, Korea. We had a one bedroom and then moved to 2-bedroom because we needed another bedroom. Having a washer/dryer is a big plus. I gave 4 star for the amenities because the sauna was not updated and no hot tubs.
I just want to give a shoutout to Rachel who helped us in so many ways. Thank you, Orakai!!

We got the non-smoking room with smells of cigarettes which also was not the same as on the pictures. I did an upgrade and it was fine, but there was no heating and A/C during our stay due to some renovation. Hotel did not offer anything as a compensation for that situation. Breakfast is very bad with a very few options, every day the same.

The property is in an amazing cultural location, near the palaces, art centers and easy access to fantastic restaurants and street food. The rooms are spacious and the hotel facilities are great, especially if you are saving luggage space and need to wash your clothes. If you are going to Seoul I would highly recommend staying here.

We got a four bedroom, but one of the bedroom is more of a walk in closet with a small bed. It didn’t have a window. The rest of the three bedrooms were good size and had city views.

The living room, dining area, kitchen and bathrooms were good too & decent size.

The cleaning lady kept our whole unit clean and supplied with towels and amenities.

The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance Myeongdong, the palaces, Hanok and the observatory. There are very good coffee, bakeries and breakfast places in the area. Also a lot of food options in the area.

Great location right near Insadong culture street and walking distance to the palaces and Hanok neighborhoods. We were upgraded to an executive suite on a high up floor. Didn’t hear any noise and hopefully nobody else had to hear our baby cry. Beds were quite firm, but I actually like this. The room was definitely very worn and had some stains and other damage, but still worth it for the spacious room, full size kitchen, in suite laundry and great location. The coffee place downstairs has bagels and other breakfast stuff. The cu across from the back door is much bigger and has more selection than the 7-11 that is out front.

We stayed here for a week during a family vacation. We had the three bedroom apartment. It was spacious for our family of 4. The overall condition of the apartment felt dated and sparse. The carpets and furniture had stains, towels were minimal and threadbare, some bedding had stains. The third bedroom is more like a closet - no window and no other furniture except the bed. Cleanliness felt minimal especially when we found a giant cockroach in the bathroom. Yikes.

Some positives: the washer was helpful, as was having two bathrooms. The location was convenient - subway stations and bus stops are at least a 5-10 min walk away.

Overall, it was very reasonable for the location and space. But some of the cleanliness and maintenance issues give me pause. I would likely not stay there again.

We had a 8 day stay at the hotel. Awesome location. Convenience stores are located right nextdoor. The hotel seemed to be a little on the older side but the rooms and kitchen were clean. You are able to adjust the themostat to set the room's temperature to your liking. The kitchen was large. We used the combined washer/dryer frequently. Shampoo, body wash, and soap are provided. Front desk are responsive to requests for additional supplies. The gym facilty was large and had plenty of equipment for running, lifting, and stretching. We did not use the swimming pool. The sauna was still closely indefinitely. The only quirk thing was that when you use the elevator, you have to hold the room keycard against a sensor to choose the upper floors - the computer sensor is laggy - you have the hold the card a while until you hear a beep - then you can select the floor - this took some getting used to.

The room are fantastic especially for families. The property is clean, well maintained, and the staff is friendly and very supportive. When requesting for assistance or help, they respond very quickly. The location is fantastic and the have a convenience store, 7-11 just across a road and a supermarket about 3 blocks away. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Seoul Korea and I would stay there again when the opportunity arises.

My go-to hotel in Seoul

I stay at the Orakai whenever I'm in Seoul. It's very comfortable, reasonably priced, with a nice pool and amazing views. It's perfect for longer stays since there's a kitchen and washing machine. I only wish it was more eco-friendly. The sign in the bathroom says that you can choose to keep your towels, but housekeeping replaces them anyway. I also usually keep the do not disturb light on because I don't need cleaning, but the housekeeper said (if we understood her correctly) not to do that because they're required to clean the rooms daily, which ends up wasting garbage bags for a tiny amount of trash.

The room was perfect for our big family of 6. Which included 3 teenagers. We loved it all. Only thing I wish we had was a bigger trash can in the room. Also, the breakfast was not great. We only tried it one time and was very disappointed. Other than that we loved it and can’t wait to return.

Great location and the rooms were very large and accommodating. We were lucky to get upgraded to a suite. The washing machine is a 2 in 1 so we were able to wash and dry our clothes which was an added plus. So close to everything and the staff were all very friendly. The only issue is that the hotel will not assist in calling a taxi so you will need to have an app like KakaoT or Uber.

I really liked this property because it was like renting an apartment. We were there for 3 weeks so it was nice having access to a kitchen. Housekeeping was great. The property is located in a great location you can easily catch a bus, the metro or walk to a lot of attractions and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

The suite was spacious and perfect for my small family. Kitchen had all basic necessities and bathrooms offered different options for bathing/showering the kids. Bedrooms were just as pictured. Traveling with grown family members, it was nice that they each had their own room with a shared common area. Like home.

Towels were a bit old. Not fluffy.

The washing machine in unit was valuable. Wish it came with better instructions.

We had a wonderful spacious two bedroom apartment with full kitchen and living room. The apartment was big with washing machine but note that you will need to bring your own spices and seasonings. The pool area was huge with pool, hot tub, and two saunas. The gym was also big and had lots of machines and weights. The location was excellent as there are plenty of alleyways to walk for shops and restaurants not to mention we are near major tourist sites such as many palaces.
