The staff were available and friendly. They were able to speak English and helped explain things to us like how transportation works. The room was clean and they did clean the room everyday. Especially after we mentioned one day they forgot they made sure it did happen again.

They had laundry room that we used and their common space for gym and kitchen looks nice.

Room is basically a motel standard. There is no real check-in area.. it is conjoined to a rooftop lounge/bar. Upon check-in received keys that wouldnt open the room door. had to pop back up and get the staff to join to help open. turns out the door has issues. after waiting more, requested that they change the room instead because they clearly couldnt figure out what was wrong with the door. the location is also very terrible. it is not located in a convenient place, but rather tucked away in a back street not near any bus stops or metro station. would not stay here again.

Really nice hotel that’s convenient and great for foreigners coming to Seoul for the first time as there is a metro exit right in-front of the hotel. It is super clean and decent size, especially if you spend most of your time out of the hotel. Our room was facing the main road which gets super busy and lively during the evenings with loads of pocha stands and you can’t hear anything from the room which is super great! Recommended to stay!

We loved our stay here, our room was small but had the biggest shower I’ve ever had. The nice little touches were appreciated, water in the fridge, nice robe. The location couldn’t be better for either walking or taking the subway. We didn’t use the rooftop bar as much as it was expensive and not that interesting up there: the space has potential for a great spot to hang out. Beds were comfy as well. Very quiet.

Great Location for Hanok Village and Night Market

Checkin at the roof bar, view of NamSan Tower. Get a free drink token. Rooms are small but clean. Location looks kinda rough during the day but don’t let that fool you. It turns into a night market daily that’s hopping with young crowds and pocha tents that are erected around 8pm-12am. Jungno3 with three trains are literally out the hotel door.

Across the street is the infamous Hanok Village with traditional homes that have been converted into beautiful cafes and restaurants where KDramas have been filmed (“True Beauty” “Dokkebi”).

We even walked to MyungDong in 25-30 min. The airport bus stops about 10 min walk away. Not bad, even with luggage.

There’s a 연슾노래방 Practice NoreBang (karaoke) that’s cheap and so much fun across the street on 2F.

Moxy Seoul Insadong is conveniently located right in front of the train station, surrounded by many eateries. Just across the road is Ikseondong Hanok Street and Ssamzigil is within walking distance. The hotel does not provide toiletries. We received a welcome drink voucher at check-in and got a complimentary beer for our long stay.
The hotel lobby is on the 16th floor. Overall, it’s a great place to stay, though a little pricey.

This property was incredible. The location was great for exploring the palaces. The nightlife and food were wonderful. With all the activity and nightlife outside the hotel, the room was extremely quiet. Great rooms and the staff were excellent. The transportation to and from all the neighbourhoods and attractions was also very convenient. A place you must stay if you are travelling to Seoul.

The stay was OK, the rooms are small but sufficient for a short stay. The main thing to be aware of is that the noise from the street food restaurants and bars right in front of the Hotel is clearly audible in the rooms facing the main road (Hotel entrance ).... Unfortunately we didn't really realize that until about 10pm when things get really busy....

Do not stay here. I believe my jewelry was stolen. I had my jewelry in a small pouch and never wore it my entire trip. When I got to my new destination, my jewelry was no longer in the pouch.

The rooms are outdated and you can tell the cleaning is not done well.

A great hotel for a staycation

Stayed at the Kody for 5 nights. The highlight of our stay was the location. Simply could not be beaten. Right by exit 4 of Jongjo 3(Sam) - ga station, which makes it super easy to navigate around the city. Furthermore, there are other stations within walking distance of the hotel. During the weekend the whole street feels up with Koreans sitting in the Pocahs around the street having drinks and food. It is such a unique and Korean experience, which I highly recommend.
The rooms, though on the smaller side, are perfect for a city vacation where you are mostly outside the room during the day.
You have almost no interaction with stuff, which I appreciate, as it makes the stay seamless.
Another thing in favor of the hotel is the laundry room. Both reasonably priced and convenient, it helps a lot and really is a value able amenity to have, no matter what point in your trip you are.
Overall, while not cheap, I think the value for money is good, considering location and amenities, I would recommend staying at the hotel.

Good location, great service :)

We stayed in a room with a king-bed overlooking the streets, on the 10th floor. From check in to check out, we had a very pleasant experience. The staff were always kind, knowledgeable and spoke in perfect English.

The room was clean and comfortable enough for us, although we had to manoeuvre our suitcases around daily because the space is tight. There are several reviews about the loud noise from the stores below but it did not really bother us; we all generally slept soundly and the sound was quite muted.

The location is close to Insadong street, the train station and is easy to get an uber to/ from as well. There are also games on the first floor to enjoy while waiting for your uber, which our daughter loved.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. :)

I loved this hotel! It's in the middle of everything, which is very exciting. It's also quite comfortable. The rooms are small, but everything is thoughtfully laid out so they work great. I moved to a fancier hotel for work after my stay at the Moxy and I had more room, but nothing was better. These rooms are efficient and slick. And the rooftop bar is sweet too.

I used the baggage storage and that worked great too.

Only downside is that sometimes the elevators get backed up, which can be a little annoying with the reception on the top floor.

The hotel was clean. Universal adaptors on all switches which is a huge bonus. Staff was kind and the breakfast Buffett was amazing. Accessibility of laundry was also a huge plus. Easy walking distance to the main palace, shrines AND you're right on 3 subway lines. Shopping in the alleys right across the street.

The only two real negatives. one: we had a room which faced the street and it was noisty at times with music (but we were there over cheusok so maybe that's why?) It wasn't a consistent issue. Nothing some light ear plugs couldn't fix

The second thing was the price of the rooftop beer/snak. It was very overpriced. Their honey highball was fantastic and worth it. We redeemed our free drink ticket and the drink was..... Drinkable sorta. But it was free so can't complain. Their cracker snack however was totally overpriced for saltines, boxed bread sticks and 3 dips (2 were the same).

The bed was too firm for us but that is totally personal preference. Loved that you needed a key tap to access your floor.

This is a young people’s hotel. It’s fun in decor and a great location. The street is full of restaurants with pop ups outside every night from 6pm. Subway station access is literally at the front door. Rooms whilst small have been arranged for maximum space so definitely doesn’t feel cramped. Great amenities such as affordable self-service laundry and onsite wow pass kiosk. Bar mocktails were a little too sweet for my liking but the roof top bar does have a nice view and a pleasant atmosphere.

I am Korean American, and to be honest, I am not really sure how this hotel justifies the price. It’s in mid-$100 range, and it provides minimal facilities with “essential” amenities. Location itself is very convenient, just a few steps from subway and “gay” pub area so it was convenient. The staffs were extremely kind, accommodating and professional but other than staffs, I would say it was more or less a 2 star level business hotel with poor design theme. I get they wanted to make it “cool” gen Z vibe but it feels like it’s too extra. The room itself was very small but comfortable though. I would search around the hotel (or motels) around the area before you book Moxy.

Excellent location for 1st time visit to Seoul

The location was perfect! A 5 minute walk from where the airport limo service drops you off and right in front of a subway station and across the street from the Myeongdong market which has amazing food options. A lot of 24hr convience stores in the area, which is helpful for a 4am snack. It is VERY SAFE!

The hotel is rather new and the room and bathroom was top notch. If you have never experienced a high tech Asian toilet, you are in for a treat!

The staff was so helpful and even helped me communicate with the KTX bullet train to confirm my departure time.

I would definitely come back and stay here if I came back to Seoul!

We had an awful experience somewhere else so checked out early and came here and it was the best decision. Room was so spacious and clean with the comfiest bed and the hotel facilities were great. They gave us free drinks on check in, there was a fun games area and beautiful rooftop bar with amazing views.
Staff were so lovely and helpful and we loved the area around the hotel (so much nicer than Myeongdong where a lot of the hotels are located but still walking distance to everything.)
We will definitely stay here again next time!

Special shout out to Cindy, she helped me w/Korail KTX booking by calling ktx customer service to confirm reservation (korail website has issues). Didn't try breakfast but it looked good. Totally recommend this hotel and I would stay again. Great location too.

The hotel has a rooftop bar with a great view of the city. The gym was very good to use. The staff were excellent, friendly and spoke fantastic English. I would book here again when I stay.

One thing to keep in mind is that it is right in the heart of Insadong. What I did not realize is it is in the middle of a party atmosphere with outdoor bars and people having a great time. It is not why I chose the hotel. I did not mind it and my stay was not affected at all, but if you do not want to stay in that kind of atmosphere then it is not for you. I chose it for convenience to where I had business in Seoul the next morning and I was not disappointed in any way.

Beginning to end a superb accommodation in a convenient location to transport, dining and activities.
Our room was comfortable and efficiently designed. The bed and rain shower head were a plus.
Breakfast was a nice combination of Asian and Western cuisine. There were new dishes offered each day.

The location is right next to subway Jongno-3 ga, right across Ikseon-dong for cafe hopping, and 10 minutes walk to Insadong, however not as vibrant as Myeongdong and Hongdae. First night we got here it was snowing and airport bus dropped us on the opposite direction of Jongno-3 ga so we had to drag our heavy luggages across the streets to get here…I didn’t like the reception was on the 16th floor it’s not convenient. Overall the staff are quite helpful. Everything was pretty good, especially the separate shower and toilet design with sliding door was a fantastic idea. We had a pleasant stay!!

Our stay at Moxy Insadong was great! The room was a great size and staffs were professional and friendly. It was a great location as well; a lot of dining options! I would highly recommend to it to stay here! Bed might be a tad bit too soft for my liking but it was comfy. I do like the fact they have separate shower and toilet. I thought that was a huge plus, lol. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
