This hotel was such a gem for us. Free water bottles for hotel guests in the lobby and room fridge, and they even sell an emergency toiletry kit if you forgot anything. Daily breakfast and laundry available. Rooms are clean and it was very close to local bus and subways. Room Wi-Fi worked well for us. Housekeeping comes daily if you need, though we only used once for our 4 nights.

Excellent location - walking distance from itaewon, Myeong-dong, bonchon, the palaces, and other popular places. Comfy bed and excellent shower pressure. The only down side is we couldn’t figure out the AC and the “luggage storage” was leaving your stuff in a corner in the lobby and hoping staff notices if anyone tries to take it. Breakfast was fine.

Excellent location with easy accessibility to transportation. It’s possible to walk to most tourist attractions. The room is clean and spacious including the bathroom. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Unlimited free bottled water is available in the room and lounge. Laundry machines are available on site. The breakfast is very simple but sufficient. Very pleasant stay at Hotel Amare for 1 week. We will stay there again if we go back to Seoul.

We lived the room, especially the fancy toilet with bidet. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check into our room early. We hadn’t slept yet because our flight was at 2 AM. This allowed us to rest got a bit before exploring outside. Bottled water was complimentary and you just grab more from the fridge at the entrance. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.

We are generally pleased with our stay for about 2 weeks. Area is safe to walk around and we are close to a lot of dining options. We are also close walking distance to transportation and major attractions like the gwanghwamun gate and palaces, myeongdong, cheonggye stream, insadong and ikseondong areas. Hotel room was spacious (though a little old; could not lock the windows as the locks were broken; the bathroom layout has a door to the shower compartment and a separate door to the toilet compartment, but no overall door to the bathroom so less privacy (if sharing the room)). Walls had good sound proof, the plastic under the bed sheets didn't bother us, nice little roof top that we enjoyed on our last day. Staff is overall friendly and courteous. You can borrow umbrellas on rainy days, and you have free water that you can grab as you need it. Breakfast was served everyday, and while options are limited to bread, egg, sausage, banana, mashed potato, salad/tomato - these were pretty healthy options and fed us well so that we did not have to worry about finding breakfast elsewhere.

I stayed with my sister in this hotel for our first time in Seoul. We were so glad we picked this place. It is very close to a lot tourist areas like Ikseon-dong and Myeongdong. Very close to the metro as well. We felt safe even when we got back to the hotel late. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. The complementary bfast was a huge plus!

Only recommendation is if the breakfast area was small and there is no elevator as we had few people in our group had knee issues and that was the only issue we had. Breakfast was served fresh every morning.

It was very close to the city center and bukas stops and subway stops, right next to Tapgol Park. Place was clean but the ac is a little weak. The free breakfast was nice but very basic - eggs, sausage, bread, banana, mashed potato. Staff was helpful, they let us extend for a minimal fee.

Fantastic place in Seoul

Location was perfect for visiting Seoul. Room was clean and comfortable. Free bottled water throughout the stay and a great breakfast to start the day. Hotel staff went out of their way and were very helpful.
We seemed to be the only guests enjoying the beautiful roof top.
The laundry machines took credit card and were clean, big and fast.

An amazing hotel!!! Amore for Amare!!!

This was my first hotel in Seoul and it exceeded my expectations. Beautiful hotel and staff. free water galore!!! free breakfast/ free tooth brush/ love the shampoo, conditioner, body wash. They also have a small freebies of hand lotion.
coffee/tea was good choice too.
washer/drier at 4000 won/wash but the washer and drier are large. if you need iron as well - they have it here as well as microwave.
Very clean and free use of beautiful robes.
Gigantic television with subtitles option ( korean to english conversion) - can connect to samsung airplay but not apple.
At first glance - the area is suspect but it is very safe and very accessible. The hotel is close to all. Absolutely the best area for public transportation.
we did not have a view of anything (708) but the size of the room made up for it.
my mother who has walking difficulties find the hotel accessible. (breakfast area and washer/drier area not accessible if you are wheelchair bound as it’s in basement)

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. One particular staff spoke in conversational English and was so polite and friendly. Free new bottles of water in fridge by the door for when entering or exiting lobby. Toiletries were available in a vending machine next to the free water bottles. We enjoyed the shower/tub, toilet, and sink being separated from each other which is great for families with children who have to use different things at the same time. Tv was as wide as the bed. It felt like a home theatre. Cozy and comfy chair and table area. They clean your room every single as long as your key card shows you’re not in the room. Very very very spacious compared to other hotels in the area. Beds were very comfy. 1 block from endless food options. Tucked away enough to be quiet for sleep. Shades very 95% black out. Accessible to several train lines. Walkable to several palaces. I cannot say enough good things and felt so well rested from our stay. Will be staying here again next trip to Seoul.

I don’t understand why this hotel has only 2.5 stars, it deserves 5!! Amazing service, great rooms, clean nothing missing it was perfect and the location is very central too! So close to many pochas you can have an authentic korean experience! The fact that they have a fridge full of cold water bottles you can grab at any time is a major bonus! I really liked this suite, everything in the room was new, the bed was comfortable, the washroom was nice. And the tv was suuuper big. Only thing for the suite that we booked is that there were a lot of different options for the type of room we paid for so you can never really know what youre gonna get. The pictures we saw had some computers in it which I would’ve loved. But unfortunately no pc, but at leas big tv.

Only thing is I smelled the sewage a bit in the toilet room but at least I was able to close the door and I couldnt smell it throughout the suite. It seems like the smell is an ongoing thing in asia it was the same for me in Busan and Vietnam.

Room service was great, the moment you leave the make up room light on as you leave they rush to your room to clean it, I think they have automatic notifiers.

I would have given 5 stars if the front desk was more welcoming and friendly. Overall Koreans do not like foreigner in their country. Hotel was nice and clean. Loved the shampoo and conditioner they provided. There is a rooftop area to hang out but beware if mosquitoes! The room is down feather everything, ehich made the bed very uncomfortable for me, but the blanket was comfy. They spoiled us with unlimited self serve bottled water! Note to management, be more customer friendly and welcome your patrons and you shall receive 5 stars easily! Been to Korea and seen it, dont care to go back.

Good location, not far from MRT exit 1 (and 5).
Staff was very nice, room was big and new, Japanese toilet, huge TV including Netflick channel.
Internet was good, there was a little fridge, coffee machine and kettle.
The room should have been advertised as “no window” - as there was a wall 1 meter in front of it.
The included breakfast was simple (1 fried egg per person, mash potatoes, little tomatoes, banana, bread).
Despite the window and simple breakfast, I definitely recommend the hotel and would come back.

For the price they charge, this hotel is fantastic. The room was huge, cleaned thoroughly every day, and was very comfortable. The hotel is really well located on a quiet side road among a busy neighbourhood - so plenty of shops and restaurants - about five minutes from exit 1 of Jongno metro station, which is on three different lines. The rooftop area is a nice bonus, and the hotel was a great base from which to explore Seoul.

This is a budget hotel. Good for the price. They have everything you need but if you’re looking for a luxury stay this isn’t the place for you. It’s tucked away in between several buildings. Even the taxis don’t like coming through the the small lane to the hotel. Taxis like you to go out to the bigger roads to pick you up. The hallways are dark and painted black. The room is painted plain white with black stone bathroom, toilet, and shower. The rooms are small and cramped without much room for luggage. It is right in the middle of busy old streets. It’s not fancy. Breakfast was nice. People at the front desk are nice and can speak English.

The room is clean and modern, check in was easy, and the staff are friendly. It’s short walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and the subway so getting around was extremely easy. I plan on staying here again next time I’m in Seoul

Sad to leave again. Stayed here a few times. If you get a room with the desk and monitor it is perfect for WFHotel. Love the surrounding area-- tons of good eats, art, shops, post office, park, trains, and busses. Plus plenty of water, free laundry, and free breakfast.
