Very near to public transportation and airport limousine drop off/pick up location. Walkable to most downtown IG tourist traps locations (street food, night markets, malls, ramen convenient store, cafes). Right next to a 24hr CU convenient store.

Basic room and amenities. Small space but manageable. Clean. Free laundry. Daily fresh towels and water.

Would stay here again.

Our stay here was overall good, we really enjoyed how quiet the location is and how close it is to everything. The only con we experienced was upon checking in at 7am, there was no one at the front desk. The employee onsite was sleeping in a room next to the reception area and clearly just woke up, which I found a bit unprofessional. Other than that, the hotel itself is great!

Clean hotel and spacious room for four people. Four bottles of water are provided everyday. Free washer and dryer with detergent on top floor. Nice lounge and terrace with a nice view on the top floor. Plenty of amenities like shampoo, liquid soap, hair dryer, tea/coffee, refrigerator, and a safe in room. Room service is once during our stay. Put dirty towels and trash outside the room door in the morning. Receive clean towels and water bottles in a bag outside the room door. Friendly front desk staff who speak limited English. The staff helped call a taxi for us twice. The taxi is inexpensive in Seoul and takes credit card. The staff also watch the luggage before check in and after check out. Although the hotel is inside an alleyway it is safe and just a minute walk to the main street. Hotel is close to restaurants, cafes, and buses. Train station is about 10 minutes walk. Remember to scan the Tmoney card when entering and exiting the bus/train. Walking distance to the palaces, oldest market, trendy Youth Avenue, and Cheonggyecheon stream. A nice hotel overall.

I guess they need to have a solution to block the water inside the shower when anybody is having a shower.
Currently when you have a shower over there the bathroom floor gets wet very quickly and that’s not comfy.

I had a wonderful stay at Rian Hotel Jongno-gu. The location is incredibly convenient — just minutes away from public transportation, including both train and bus stations, making it super easy to get around Seoul. The neighborhood is full of great restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The staff were exceptional — friendly, helpful, and always available when needed.

If you’re looking for a clean, well-located hotel with great service, Rian Hotel is a fantastic choice. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a good stay at Hotel Rian. The room size of our deluxe triple room was great. They brought new towels each day and could clean the room at your request. The bathroom was little odd where we had a rain fall shower and the toilet to the left side, the sink in the middle which was attached to the room, then a bathtub/shower to the right side of the sink. The knobs/shower heads were a bit shaky but still worked fine. The hotel itself had a nice lounge, rooftop, and free laundry machines w/ dryer (not common in Korea) so that was nice! The area the hotel in is definitely not what you would expect as it was in between the trophy/plaque business district. Could definitely looked a bit unsafe at night but it was pretty safe.

Walking distance to loads of great attractions as well as Jongno 3 station which has access to 3 transport lines, lots of shops, great restaurants and branches (including viral Isaac Toast), so many bus routes as well.

Un hotel estupendo, muy nuevo, habitaciones muy amplias (dificil de encontrar) a tan solo 5 min de la parada de metro de Jongno-3, que une 3 lineas de metro diferentes. El staff de recepción es amable y siempre te saluda al entrar, aunque su inglés no es perfecto, te ayudan en lo que pueden. Las habitaciones no se limpian todos los dias, a menos que lo pidas, pero te dejan toallas y agua en la puerta a diario. Son habitaciones modernas y bien decoradas, bien iluminadas y con nevera y kettle, incluso una zona aparte para sentarse. El hotel tiene un salon con microondas y cafetera para uso de los clientes, asi como lavadora y secadora gratuitas (lo malo es que si estan en uso, hay que esperar, porque solo hay una y los programas pueden tardar hasta 3 horas!) El hotel tiene miles de detalles para los clientes, desde un peso para maletas en la entrada, secador de paraguas y una maquina de Wowpass en la puerta. Lo recomiendo sin duda.

Very close to the subway station, near shopping areas and quiet. But the air-conditioning is a little bit noisy, the bathroom smell. There is no separation between the shower and the toilet, and the drain is in the middle of the bathroom floor, so when someone is taking a shower, another person cannot use the sink to brush the teeth…etc. But it’s still worth for the price.

Just like a service apartment,not even 3 star; room cleaning service need to request at least 1 day (24 hours) before.simple and really simple facility. Not value for money by paying US$150 per night. Only thing comfort is the staying due to 24 hr convince store at doorsteps and walking distance to Youth street.

Pros: very spacious, polite staff, convenient location, free coffee and nice rooftop patio/lounge areas

Cons: a bit run down and needs better cleaning.. the bathroom was moldy and shower floors felt slimy with soap scum, toilet seat was old and yellow and the bidet did not work, don’t think they wash the provided slippers

Overall we did not feel the room was worth the price.

A decent place to stay

The hotel is located at a good location. It is not difficult to find. It is a few minutes walk from the airport limousine stop (a little more time if you are going to the airport direction) and the subway station.
The room was not as large as it showed on the website. However, I think it was ok since I only had one suitcase. If you have 2 big suitcases, it might not be enough.
The room is clean and neat. The hotel provides towels, a toothbrush, and 2 bottles of water every day.
The hotel was warm even though the A/C (which also works as a heater) was not on. If you are going during winter, it should still be ok.

The upsetting / irritating issue is that you have to tell reception one night before to tidy room else bed is not make, trash are not taken away, dirty tpwels are not changed.

As we are not aware of this rule, we we were living in a dirty room for 3 nights.

Else all other stuff are acceptable.

Hotel Rian is excellent for our 4 night stay in Seoul.
. All the staff are exceptionally friendly and polite. The services they provided were promptly when requested
. The hotel location can't be better. Conveniently very short walk to Metro station which we can go everywhere in Seoul
. There are a lot of local restaurants around the hotel.
. There is a CU convenient store opened 24 hours right next to the hotel
. This is one of the few hotels in Seoul having multiple beds for large family (we have 3 beds - one double and 2 twin beds for a family of 4). The room is also more spacious than expected with separate shower/bath tub and toilet.
. Room service is very good. New towels and amenities bottled water, shavers etc are provided plenty daily
. Checked in and checked out are a breeze.

Two issues I experienced in room 404
Could hear all the foot steps on the floor above. Even with the aircon and TV on it's still very audible and noticable.
Woke up throughout the night due to this.

Secondly the aircon didn't properly cool the room, it was still very stuffy and contributed to lack of sleep.

Apart from that it was a great location, close to train and bus station and easy walking distance to Myeongdong.
The reception crew were lovely.

Great service & comfort in a slightly dated hotel

Stayed here for 8 nights for a family trip with my 1 year old son. It was great that the hotel provided a cot but the cot sides were too low which is very unsafe for young toddlers and we had to sleep him in between us.

Otherwise we got a very spacious room. The hotel appears to have been recently face-lifted with modern fittings although appearing structurally old.

Great service by the front desk staff who, although spoke limited English, had been extremely helpful in providing directions, hailing taxis and even helping us navigate certain Korean only e-shopping websites.

It is rather peculiar, however, that they do not support food deliveries and explicitly tell you not to order online.

The room we were given smelled of sewage and we slept inhaling those gases the first night. He remote controls (tv and air con) were not properly cleaned and the bathroom had some mould. Outside the hotel was a little sketchy too. The staff however were very helpful and loved us to another room which was a little cleaner and did not have the foul smell issue.

Windows are way too small. The shower has no separation from the rest of the bathroom so water goes all the way to the sink and toilet. Dark and gloomy. The AC was terrible and noisy and hard to figure out even knowing some Korean. No refund so I paid for a week and left after one night. I’d rather lose the money than stay there.

The room was spacious. The amenities and facilities were a bare minimum. The business center did not have a computer or printer. I'm not quite sure why it is called a business center. The breakfast was quite minimal, and there was nothing substantial. A bug came out in a room one time. Shower-head was tilted a bit. They keep luggage for free of charge so if you need to travel to other areas but do not want to bring a big suitcase, it would be helpful.

OK room. Got the family room and it was huge. However, pictures are not like the actual space. Hotel is much older than it looks. Lighting is very bad, blinds provided for windows are in bad condition. The sink is poorly designed, the spout is almost touching the sink, not good for washing face. Breakfast is definitely something to skip....I paid for it for 4 days but decided to skip it all as it was not very appetizing. Towels are a bit old. That being said, the location is great and neighborhood has lots of local food. The BBQ right below the hotel is amazing.

Location is good as it is close to subway lines. The hidden gem of this hotel is the breakfast! It’s very clean, tasty, freshly made and has a lot of variety for 7-8000 won. All made by one lady who mans the kitchen area. In terms of the room, If you are someone who likes a dry bathroom, this is probably not the best hotel for you as there is no divider that separates the shower area from the rest of the bathroom (very typical for Korean bathrooms).

This smaller, boutique hotel is located in the back alley's and in the heart of the local restaurants and nightlight/off-the-main strip in Seoul. It was neat and clean, and the front desk staff was polite and helpful, doing their best to accommodate us even through our language barrier. But Rian's location is truly its best attribute. We could walk to EVERYTHING...restaurants, bars, coffee shops, drug stores, local markets, shops, main strip. We drove past the higher-end hotels located deeper in the city (4 Seasons, Westin, etc.), but had we stayed there, we would have had to cab it everywhere that we had within our reach staying at Rian. I will definitely stay at Rian every time I visit Korea.

LOVE OUR STAY! Will choose Rian Hotel AGAIN!

We booked a total of 8 rooms. Although it a small boutique hotel, the staffs are all very friendly and approachable. We communicated in english and everything is answered or attended to.

They allow early check-in which additional charges applies, we didnt opt for that. We arrived at about 10am, and they are very kind to let us store our luggage bags at the hotel and off we can go ! If im not wrong, their check-in time is 2pm.

The room, are considered big and comfy. Im able to open up my 32inch luggage on the floor. There's also a small coffee table & 2 armchairs in the room. I got the room with a single toilet(Shower + Toilet) While some other rooms have separated shower and toilet. I personally preferred the big single toilet + shower! ( The water pressure was good as well! )

Wifi - they have a wifi router for each room! So the signal is super duper good and fast! You just got to connect to your own room's wifi! So far this is the only hotel that I have been to that provided sure good internet coverage. Full bar wifi, no matter where I am in the room!

Will definitely recommend and stay again!

Pro : There's 7 eleven right opposite the hotel.

The location of this hotel is very convenient. It is not more than 20 mins walk from the major attractions, and subway stations are less than 5 mins walk away. Their staff members were very nice and helpful.

The bathroom and room was so lush!
The only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast but there’s so many food options around.

When I come back, I will never book another hotel—only Hotel Rian!

Room was clean and neat . Love the separate bathroom and toilet . Toilet bowl is what you’ll get in Japan(toilet seat warmer, built in toilet spray) . Breakfast was ok but the menu is the same everyday which is the down point . They’re very strict and inflexible when it comes to check in , 2pm means 2pm so don’t bother to try to ask for early check in . (Even half an hour earlier they say room not ready, maybe because they only have one house keeping staff which I noticed) If you reach early , you can leave you luggage at the hotel which is a plus point . Overall the stay was pleasant and good .

Stay here for second time. I am currently an expedia gold member so I tend to get my condition upgraded from this hotel. This time I've got triple room with late check out. Apart from the privileges I got from being an expedia gold member, there're some other pros that I like abt this hotel.

Location 5/5 : I can say this hotel probably has the best location in seoul as it sits just right around Jongno 3 ga line that is considered an interchange station for purple, orange and green line. Also, to transport from airport to the hotel is real simple as it has airport shuttle bus that will stops just right the entrance street to the hotel
(walk for 2 mins, or around 200m).

Facility 2.5/5 : Carpark, elevator, wifi
Room condition : clean, spacious, good bedding but doesn't feel cozy and I just don't like how they layout the room
Bathroom 3.5/5: they separate bathroom out of toilet which I like. Water temperature and water pressure is great
