Excellent value for money! Affordable hostel, very kind staff, clean and centrally located in the city. It's close to Bukchon Hanok Village and the palaces. Breakfast is included. I highly recommend it. Thank you, Tommy, for this wonderful stay!

Good Central Location

Nice hostel close to several of the palaces and popular locations. Near metro, so easy to get to other places. I had a small single room which was adequate, except it was difficult to use the shower. Room amenities were fine, bed was comfortable, pillow was great, room was heated and window could be opened for (very) fresh air (6C). Good, adequately kitted out common area. Free breakfast limited to cocpops, cornflakes, bread, condiments, juice, tea (no black tea) and coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

My only suggestion is that when someone turns up early that they give some priority to getting their room ready first, especially when it is a cold and wet day outside. I knew and understood that their checkin time was 4pm, however a little bit of consideration for those arriving early would have made this place perfect (I actually didn’t get my room until shortly after 4pm).

All the staff were very nice & very helpful even though , except the CEO, others were not fluent in English. Our flight arrived late and we reached Hostel Tommy at 1 am. Had no toruble with self check-in. It is quiet a place, just a 5-6 minutes walk from Jongno 3-ga subway station and 15 - 20 minutes walking distance to palaces. There is a 7-11 on ground floor of this building several eating places near the subway station. Breakfast is simple cereals & toast . But you can use the microwave and dining / common area throught the day.

The only discordant note was about room cleaning. It was mentioned that it would be done every third day. We stayed for four days. Our room was not cleaned. Since we could get fresh towels from reception ( and leave the old ones there) it was not a big deal for us. But would have been nice. We do look forward to staying here on our future visit.

Tommy and Nicholas were so friendly and made us feel so welcome! They went out of their way to be helpful and gave us loads of good tips for our trip. In fact we tried to book again on our way back but it was booked out. Highly recommended, really great location to walk around, eat and enjoy Seoul! Thank you!

This hostel was very ideally located for visiting many places, including Jongmyo shrine and Insa-dong. It is also fairly close to the Jongno 3-ga subway station, so transportation is easy. The rooms were very clean, and I enjoyed having a private bathroom.

Location and price was good The airport bus stop was a few minutes walk from the hotel. The only thing I didn’t like was there was no elevator, I had to carry my big luggages upstairs to the reception and room.

This is my first time at Hostel Tommy. I was very impressed everything in this hostel. First, the hostel is very close to subway station (Jongno 3-ga) you can reach there only 3 minutes by walk. Moreover, the hostel is very close to 2 supermarkets and many Korean restaurants. You can walk only 3-5 minutes to popular touritst destination like Changdeokgung Palace from the hostel. What's a convenient!!!!
All staff here is very friendly and helpful. They all can speak English well and ready to help you if you want. Room size is bigger than I imagine and all facilities is good. It would be better if the towel is bigger.
I highly recommend you all to stay here and next time in Seoul, I promise I'll be here again.

Family-friendly! Top-notched hostel!

Reception: Was welcomed by Mr Tommy himself and I have to say it was certainly one of the most heartwarming welcomes i have received considering how i am a frequent traveller. Fast check-in too as the room was ready upon arrival. Just to note that there is a flight of stairs to climb, so moving the luggages up might be slightly challenging at times.
Room: The room is clean and have adequate amenities within, just take note that used towels have to be brought out to the main area in exchange for new ones. There is also floor heating in the room so not too worry if you're visiting during the winter period. Simple breakfast provided - eg. cereals, bread, eggs, coffee/tea/milk
Location: 5 mins walk away from the Jongno 3(sam)-ga subway station, so that's a very big plus! 10-15 mins walk away from the famous Insadong street. Convenience stores are just downstairs and along the street to/from the subway station. Pretty quiet, yet still safe when walking in the vicinity at night.
Price point: Value for money! You definitely get more than what you've paid for!

Convenient location, comfortable lounge

Staff was very friendly and active in engaging you in a conversation, adding quite a personal touch to your stay at the hostel. The owner Tommy can speak a few languages other than Korean, such as English, Chinese and Japanese. Convenient location, about 5min walk from jongno-sam-ga station. Breakfast is quite wholesome with bread, various spreads (Nutella, peanut butter, jam, butter) and they have a stove for people to cook. Lounge is big and comfortable with quite a few activities like board games and guitar etc. Room is abit small but the price per night is just right. Laundry costs 1k won for the detergent and the dryer is free.

Affordable and convenient accommodation that's near the subway. Friendly staff with nice service! The owner is very nice and personable too! Delicious breakfast provided too. Clean, comfortable bedrooms with attached washrooms. Recommended for anyone with family/friends/solo-traveling. Subway is at the junctions of other lines too and easy to travel all around Seoul. Would consider coming back again when I'm back in Seoul for holiday next time!

Amazing place. I stayed here for 12 days.

The Staff members are super kind, very personable, and always helpful. The place is family friendly, clean, and the location couldn't be better. Minutes away from a major subway line, restaurants, shopping, etc.

Will definitely be coming back during my next visit.

Achei incrível. A estrutura é boa, localização incrível e bem limpo o quarto e o banheiro. Falam sobre as escadas, que são um problema por tudo canto da Coreia do sul, mas todos os momentos que tivemos que carregar as malas, tinha alguém para ajudar.

A localização é incrível, realmente. Hostel oferece diversos itens de conforto como sombrinha para dias chuvosos, itens para cabelo como secadorel, etc. A limpeza é excelente, cama confortável, ar condicionado. O único inconveniente é a falta de elevadores, mas faz total sentido pelo fato de ser prédio numa área histórica da cidade. Vamos a pé a qualquer palácio, Bukchon, Insadong, Ikseon, etc. Realmente muito bom, além do cafeyda manhã , que é super prático. Adorei e recomendo Hostel Tommy!!!

Hostel Tommy was perfect for our stay in Seoul. Ideally located in a cool neighbourhood close to subway station. Easy to walk around and there is everything you need nearby. We loved that we could cook our own meal and the free breakfast was lovely. Tommy is so nice and helpful and all the staff is very friendly. The hostel is super clean and is an excellent value overall. Would definitely come back!

地點優，去哪都方便，樓下就有7-11，附近有不少吃的，房間整潔乾淨，儘管不大但行李箱剛好可以攤開，房間不能飲食。有問題可透過IG詢問得到解答。

CP值高的青旅

雖然是青年旅館，不過也有一般房間含有私人衛浴的房間可以選擇，附簡易早餐可以自己烤麵包、喝牛奶咖啡、吃玉米片等等的，這次是冬天的時候去的，天氣冷冷，但房間內除了有暖氣以外，竟然還有地熱，超棒的，地理位置也很好，就在益善洞，離鐘路3街大概5分鐘步程，8號出口有電梯，整體環境很乾淨，房間雖不大，但如果是前開式行李箱，可以放3個大的沒問題，價格又便宜，如果超過櫃檯服務時間，也可以自助check in，超簡單，樓下就有超商，有一個小缺點是沒有電梯，lobby在2樓，要自己搬行李上下樓，其他都很好。

11:00〜8:00は、シャワーを使用しない等ルールが決められていて、私は守りましたが、守らない方がいて残念でした。

トイレットペーパー問題

ドミトリーに泊まりました。
初日2時に到着してチェックインの時間より早かったのですが10分後にチェックインしてくれるというので待ちました
待っている間にフロントの横にあるトイレを借りたのですが紙がなかったです。
お部屋に入ってからバスルームに「ルームメイトがバスルーム使用中にトイレに行きたくなったら2階フロント横にあります。トイレットペーパーは備え付けていないのでフロントの紙を持っていってください」て書いてありました。
なんで紙のこと教えてくれなかったのかなと思いました。
最終日の早朝に部屋のトイレに入ったらトイレットペーパーがなかったです。
みんな寝た後になくなったのか、ルームメイト誰も教えてくれませんでした。
メモとかもなかったです。
普通のペーパーホルダーじゃなくてロールを全面に覆ってあるタイプだったから全然気がつきませんでした。
私は「紙がないですよ」と知らせるためにペーパーホルダーを開けておきました。
朝8時にならないとフロントが開かないのでそれまでトイレットペーパーなしです。
ルームメイトにこのホステルのスタッフの子がいたので8時を待たなくてもその子がトイレに入って
気づいて補充してくれました。
お部屋に予備を置いといてほしいです。
ボディーソープとシャンプーはあるけど
リンスと歯ブラシはないです。
シャワーカーテンは幅が足りないけどありました。
お風呂あがって部屋に出るときは暑いので短パンとかある方がいいと思います。
ドライヤー2つ、ストレートアイロン1つもありました。
シャワーはみんな順番に使って、特に渋滞してる感じもなかったです。
冷蔵庫も全然ぎゅうぎゅうじゃなかったです。
お布団も暖かくて夜中暑くてめくってました。
オンドルもあります。エアコンもあります。
朝ごはんはコーヒー、オレンジジュース、トースト、シリアル、お粥、卵がありました。
なぜかバターがなかったです。紅茶もない。
卵は自分でクッキングします。
お皿の洗い物も自分でします。
下の階にあるスーパーで韓国のりがロッテ百貨店の倍の量を半額で買えます。
屋上にハンモックがあります。
初日のルームメイトは愛想よくお話してくれて朝ごはんも一緒に食べてました。
２日目のルームメイトはhi!しか言ってくれなくて会話終わりました。3日目は朝すぐ帰りました。

I really enjoyed staying in this hostel. The room was nice and clean, the people were very helpful. The location is also nice, close to Insadong street, not far from a subway station and an airport bus stop. I would recomment this place to everyone, but especially to someone who doesn't have much experience with Korea and the language. People from this hostel will make the life easier for you!

Ich habe mein Aufenthalt wirklich genossen. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Leute nett und hilfbereit. Die Lage ist auch gut - in der Naehe zu Insadong Strasse, nicht weit entfernt von Metro und Flughafen Bus Haltestelle. Ich wuerde dieses Hostel allen Reisenden empfehlen, vor allem aber Leuten, die zum ersten Mal nach Korea reisen oder die Sprache nicht kennen. Ihr werdet viel Untestuetzung von den Angestellten bekommen.

This is my second time to visit this hostel. Reception can speak English. This hostel is so cozy and near landmark for visit such as Jongmyo Shrire, Changdeokgung Palace, and Gyeongbokgung Palace. Nice hostel!!

사장님이 아주 친절하시고 직원들도 잘 도와줬어요. 환경도 좋고 깨끗하고 최고입니다!
CP值很高的民宿，雖然沒有電梯但工讀生都會幫忙搬行李。離益善洞非常近，烤豬五花一條街也在附近，靠近地鐵鍾路三街站，附近餐廳很多不怕宵夜沒東西吃，會推薦朋友去住的。

Als ich ankam und etwas ratlos in den Aufenthaltraum guckte kam ein Herr auf mich zu und meinte: \"Hi, I'm Tommy!\" Dann sagte ich meinen Vornamen, und Tommy wusste sofort wer ich war und woher ich kam. Er zeigte mir die Küche, mein Zimmer und gab gute Tips. Somit fühlte ich mich gleich gut aufgehoben.
Das Zimmer ist klein aber völlig angemessen, die Fußbodenheizung bei den -6°C Außentemperatur eine Wohltat und über das Frühstück mit Brot freute ich mich nach vielen brotlosen Tagen ganz besonders.
Wenn ich wieder nach Seoul komme, dann komme ich wieder her!

Только что вернулись из Сеула. Проживали в отеле hostel Tommy. Я очень рада , что жила именно в этом отеле. Здесь сошлось всё: и комфорт, и местоположение, и отношение персонала.
Любую просьбу выполняли сразу, было такое впечатление, что ты приехал к другу, который был рад всё сделать для тебя. Самое главное для тех, кто собирается приехать в этот отель: если вам что то надо , чтобы для вас сделали не ждите, а попросите , и всё сразу будет сделано.
Томми,вам особенное спасибо за помощь,мне вернули планшет!!!

地下鉄1.3.5号線の三駅か利用できアクセスはとても便利でした。予約を2.3度変更したせいだと言われましたが4泊中お部屋を3度も変わり煩わしかったです。部屋によってはシャワーカーテンが無く、入浴の度にトイレまで水浸しで、日本人には辛かったです。部屋にティッシュが無くふべんで、タオルの交換もセルフ、以前どう金額で泊まったホステルと比べると色んな意味で良くなかったです。
唯一フロントの方が親切で愛想も良く日本語が通じないにも関わらず対応は良かったです。

鐘路3路辺りなら格安かな

場所は周りにスーパーが2軒コンビニもあってよかったです
ただホステルは外国人がたくさんいるのとエレベーターがないので帰りは特に厳しいかな
シャワーカーテンもなかったから不便でした。
お湯はちゃんと出ました。
オンドルも効いてよかったです

Sweet home

Tommy and staffs were treating us as family. They guided us to the restaurants with delicious meals and drinks as well as they provided useful information of the popular spots. We had a great memory in Hostel Tommy.

바디워시 샴푸 린스 수건 제공되구요. 드라이기 고데기 등등 비품 잘 되있어요
방에 티비도 있습니다 ~_~
개별콘센트 있고, 침대마다 블라인드 되있어서 충분히 안락하구요
개별조명이랑, 치약이 없는건 좀 아쉬웠어요ㅎ

도미토리 침대는 푹신하고 안락하지만 폭이나 길이가 160이 안되는 제가 쓰기에 딱 맞았어요
165이상이거나, 덩치가 좀 있으시다면 조금 불편할 수도 있을것 같아요ㅎ

조식은 계란 씨리얼2종류 우유 주스2종류 식빵 커피 이렇게 준비되있더라구요
라운지에도 이것저것 놀거리가 많은 편인데
거의 밖에서 시간을 보내서 이용하지 못했네요ㅜㅜ

체크아웃후에 짐 보관해주시구요. 그 덕에 창덕궁 산책 잘 다녀왔어요
근처에 식당들 있구요. 전 콩나물밥 하는 집에서 점심 먹었었는데 깔끔하고 괜찮았어요ㅎ

旅館老闆會說中文~~員工會說很流利英文..非常親切...也熱心幫助你的問題~~只是沒樓梯..但是員工跟老闆...會幫忙拿大行李....很溫馨的一次住宿體驗...不會..韓文..英文的朋友..也可以放心去自由行....ps:去機場巴士..是從旅館出來右邊走(往昌德宮方向).一直走到大馬路(要過馬路到昌德宮)然後往左邊走一下就可以看到了..機場巴士是6011(我一開始搜尋地圖都是建議6002..但是這條路線很遠..我親自走過.評論都沒人說哪條線)旅館貼的機場巴士時間比較舊吧..有異動喔..其實10分之內可以到..建議朋友可以自己先去機場巴士站走一遍..順便逛昌德宮...

적극 추천합니다..

어느 한부분 입 댈곳(?)이 없어요. 도미토리에서 3박을 했는데 너무 편히 지냈습니다. 6인실인데 제가 있을때는 침대가 다 차지는 않았지만 만약 6명이 다 이용했더라도 복잡하지 않았을것 같이 공간도 넓었구요. 호스트분들도 너무 친절하시구..여자 혼자도 안심하고 지낼수 있는거 같아 강추합니다..^^
