I loved my stay here! I came up to Seoul to relax for a long weekend. The hotel was perfect for that. It’s right on Cheonggyecheon stream and I loved waking up each morning taking a walk along it. It’s very close to a lot of good cafes and restaurants. Mostly, I wanted to rest in a good hotel room for my break and this hotel was great for that. It’s a very nice room with good beds and soft pillows. It even had a bathtub! I loved my stay here, the hotel was extremely comfortable and it was a perfect long weekend break!

Very good hotel in a great area for food and shopping. Walk everywhere from Myeongdong to City Hall and Gwanghwamun. Great food options nearby at very reasonable prices. I would definitely stay here and recommend it to people looking for a more local feel away from tourists. The back alley ways give you a taste of Seoul’s past. If you don’t want to see that you can just stay on the main roads Cheonggyecheon-ro and steam right in front of the hotel. Daily house keeping with fresh towels and bottled water was excellent. I really enjoyed this hotel and look forward to staying here again. Only downside for us was the water pressure for the shower and all the construction around the hotel. The noise wasn’t too bad but construction never stopped even on rainy days. Overall an excellent place to stay, comfortable room with a king bed and I almost gave it a 5 star all the way across.

I had a good stay at Hotel Venue G. The location is excellent — very walkable and close to two subway lines. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in good condition. The mattress wasn’t very comfortable and cleaning could be improved, but overall it was a pleasant experience.

Location was quite good as it was next to two stations, easy to walk to the palaces and hanok areas. Cleanliness of the common area and room was lacking. Handful of stains were found in the hallway carpet leading to our room (level 8). We had to get our bedsheets changed as there were a lot of stains on them. Staff member came in with boots into our room and changed the sheets promptly, but still had stains unfortunately. Good thing we brought our house slippers from home. We had also found used food skewers and candy under our bed… not ideal. Front desk staff is very helpful.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. While the location is very convenient—just a short walk to Myeongdong—the overall experience was a bit disappointing.

What we didn’t like:The hotel does not provide slippers, which is quite inconvenient after a long day of walking. I hope they consider adding this for future guests.No toothbrush or toothpaste provided in the room. I might have missed this detail when booking, but I believe it’s something worth noting for other travelers.The carpet in the room was dirty, which affected the comfort and cleanliness of our stay.Most of the staff cannot speak English, which made communication very difficult at times.
The power outlets are not standard; they’re the European-style sockets, so you will need an adapter.The breakfast was the worst part. We stayed for 4 days, and the menu never changed. Every morning it was the same limited selection: small salad, sausages, nuggets, soup, and just two types of fruits (grapes and orange). If you’re planning to stay here, I recommend not including breakfast and just buying food outside instead.

What we liked:
•The hotel is conveniently located near Myeongdong and many attractions.
•One staff member named Sarah was very helpful and friendly—she was the highlight of the service team.

I hope this feedback helps both the hotel management to improve their services, and future guests to manage their expectations.

There are bus and subway stops near by the hotel, so it’s very convenient to access to various locations in Seoul. About 100 meters from the hotel, there is a 7-11, where you can buy accessories, like toothpaste, toothbrush, and disposable slippers, where are not provided by the hotel. About 300 meters away, there are food streets, where you can enjoy the local foods around.

I liked how there was direct access to the cheonggyecheon stream, it was a beautiful pathway for you to enjoy some nature. Great for walks or runs. This hotel was conveniently located between 2 subway stations. Jongno 3 ga (closer) and Euljiro 3 ga (smidgen further) stations. About 5 to 8min walk away. Hotel room was clean and had enough space for 2 people and 4 pieces of luggage ( 2 carry on 2 med/large). Loved the heated seats of yhe bidet and decent size of shower/tub. Just wish there wasnt a seat groove for sitting (maybe comfortable if you were taking a bath) but we didnt so you had to be careful to watch where you were stepping.

We stayed here in early November of last year and the hotel room was so hot. The in room thermostat was showing 28 to 30 degrees at different times of the day. Opening the windows didn't really help since there wasn't much breeze. When we called the front desk to ask if they can turn on the system to fan mode so we can at least have circulation to cool the room they said their system was broken and when we asked to switch rooms they said this room was all they had; but said they could bring us a portal fan to which we said yes. After an hour of waiting, one of the staff dropped off a fan that looks like it hasn't been used for 10 years judging by the amount of dust on it, they couldn't even clean/ wipe it down for us. Not to mention it was essentially a small desk fan which had little cooling power. The hallway was much cooler than the room and I saw some others on our floor opening their doors for air circulation. The bed spread also had some a few questionable stains on it. The only plus sides of this hotel was the location and the fact that they had a luggage scale in the lobby.
Our experience was so bad, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

It is just next to Cheonggyecheon river. Very close to 2 train stations (Line 1 and Line 2). The busstop is right in front of the hotel, which you could take to most of the tourist areas.
The restaurants are about 5-10minitues walk. Myeongdong or Insadong about 20-30 minutes walk.

The room doesn't provide amenities, which the receptionist will inform at the time of check-in. The room is quite spacious and clean.

We have spoken to 3 different receptionists, only 1 is really good with the service and 1 is terrible.

If you are going to leave the luggages for a few days prior, make sure you have written confirmation, either by the message in the booking app or email, otherwise there is a chance that you will be rejected to leave (lucky we had confirmation prior to arrival).

Overall, it is a good hotel itself, just that it would be good if some staffs have better service.

I decided to book this hotel based on a TikTok review, but unfortunately, my experience did not live up to expectations. Here’s why I would not recommend staying here during my visit from 10–15 December 2024:

Location: The hotel is surrounded by hardware shops and industrial buildings. The area becomes very quiet after 7 PM, which can feel unsettling and even unsafe at night.

Distance to Attractions: The nearest night market is about a 10-minute walk away. While that may not seem far, the walk back in cold weather can be uncomfortable, and you may even feel hungry again by the time you return.

Family Room Location: We booked a family room on Level 3, which felt eerie and isolated as most of the standard rooms are located on other levels. It didn’t help that very few people seemed to book family rooms, adding to the unsettling vibe.

Lack of Basic Amenities: The hotel does not provide essential items like slippers, toothpaste, or toothbrushes. Additionally, the towels provided were not properly cleaned and appeared dingy instead of fresh white.

Hygiene Issues: The bathroom had many flies, which I suspect was due to the room being unoccupied for a long time before our stay.

Ineffective Heating: We tried borrowing a heater from the hotel, but it took an excessively long time to warm up the room and was essentially useless.

In summary, I would highly recommend booking a hotel near Myeongdong instead and not this.

Hotel elegante y bien situado, cerca de la parada de metro de Jongno-3 que cruza 3 lineas de metro. El area es de tiendas de reparaciones y bricolaje en su mayoria, pero hay muchos mercadillos y puestos callejeros por la tarde para comer, ademas de cafeterias y restaurantes en los alrededores. La recepción es amplia y no hay problema en dejar las maletas antes del check-in o del check-out. Las habitaciones podrian ser más amplias, pero estan perfectas para 1 o 2 noches. Decoración algo gastadilla ya, pero limpio. Suelen ser algo calurosas, aunque tengas el aire acondicionado, y mejor llevar tapones y antifaz por los sonidos y luces. La habitación tiene kettle y mini-frigo. Limpieza diaria y dejan botellitas de aguas cada día. Como pequeña pega, no habia enchufe cerca de la cama. El personal era correcto, sin más, inglés limitado.

Great hotel but the horrible sewer smells!!!

Everything is great except i can’t get over the sewer smells in the bathroom. It was so bad i was having migraines. I had to keep the windows open to alleviate the air. Other than that the hotel is walking distance to every thing, the trains, buses, markets and shops.

We stayed at Hotel Venue G for about 15 nights. The lobby was nice with an attached coffee shop and a vending machine filled with drinks, snacks and random essentials (disposable shaver and etc.). The hotel was walking distance to shops and train stations. We had gotten the deluxe double room which was barely enough for 2 people. The bathroom was small with a tub/shower combo that is smaller than the US standard tubs. I was surprised that we weren’t able to get extra towels but only two bath towels and two hand towels per day as you have to request for housekeeping everyday in order to get towel changes. We did appreciate the daily complimentary water bottles. There was a mini fridge that worked and kept our drinks cold.

Great place to stay. We stayed for 10 nights and had a deluxe triple room. Bathroom was a bit small but the room size was fantastic in comparison to other Asian cities. Location was great across the stream. We had a trip to busan for 4 days and they kept our luggage even though we had checked out. Staff members were very helpful and always helped us to reserve taxis and answer any questions that we had. Walkable distance to main attractions and great price-cannot recommend this place enough. Would stay here again next time I come to Seoul!
