What a great location next to the Cheungyecheon and Maker city with great cafes on the overpass. The staff was super helpful and easy to communicate for English speakers. Also having laundry facilities in the room was a huge plus. And very convenient to palaces, myeongdong market and Gwangjung market.

The property is located next to many places to eat and not far from the market. It’s also close to public transportation (about a block). There is also a laundry so while you may not be able to dry your clothes you can wash them then go across to street to get them dried. You have access to 2 convenience stores one located within the property. Enjoyed my stay and loved the room.

It was clean and quiet. I liked having the kitchenette and washing machine although there is no dryer.
I did not have a view and the balcony did not have a chair and it was overlooked by the building next door.
The room was quite small but the bed comfortable and shower was good

This hotel is super convenient—it's within easy walking distance of both Euljiro 3-ga and 4-ga stations, giving you access to three different subway lines to get anywhere in the city. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortably fit our family of four with two Queen size beds. Having a washer and dryer right in the room was a massive bonus. They do not help to keep the luggages but there are storage lockers at about 5000 won for first 4 hours.

The hotel does not look as new as it appears in the photos. The surrounding neighborhood is not very clean or appealing, with many warehouse-style home improvement businesses nearby. Our room overlooked large construction garages directly next to the hotel, which was disappointing. Our first room had a shower that leaked into the toilet area. The staff moved us to a second room, but it had the same issue and an even worse view. Since it was almost midnight, we stayed the night and spoke with the manager the next morning. The manager moved us to a third room on a higher floor. Although the view was slightly better, it still faced the construction garages. We had already unpacked and repacked twice, so we asked the staff to move our belongings, which they did. The shower in the third room still leaked, but less than the previous two rooms, so we decided to stay there for the rest of our trip. Overall, the hotel did not match the description or photos. While the staff was courteous and tried to help, the repeated room issues and disappointing surroundings affected our stay. I also found the bright white lighting in the room to be cold and uninviting. Warm lighting would have made the room feel much more comfortable.

Perfect location for 5 days of family activities. Washer Dryer came in very handy. The 2 bedroom rooms were great for our family group. We didn’t make much use of the kitchen but could have and did appttthe big refrigerator. Nice to have a mini mart at the hotel. Breakfasts were a great start to the day. Kids loved the waffles.

The hotel was lovely and clean. They replaced the towels every day which was nice. It was quiet even with construction right beside the building. Amazing sound proofing through the windows. There was a nice gym we didn’t use and a rooftop patio which was beautiful at night. It would have been nice if there was a pool or hot tub to go to at the end of the day or mid day when the heat is killing you. But overall a perfect location to get to may attractions and shopping with low vehicle traffic. Definitely recommend! Oh the dryer and steamer box and microwave/oven was impossible to figure out and the translator app didn’t help much we just pressed a bunch of buttons until they did something. Oh also nice bidet toilets too with extra glass door for a bit of sound proofing

Our double room was great. It also had integrated fridge freezer, oven and cooker. The bathroom was very modern. The only thing is that with having the oven and cooker you would expect some cooking utensils and pots & pans - there were none.
The buffet breakfast was good too.
I can't really fault the place.

Really nice hotel about a 20-minute walk from Myeongdong. Great if you don’t want to be right in the chaos of the main centre, but still close to the hotspots. Everything was clean and new, we also appreciated having a washing machine and small kitchen in the room. Great service as well, we were allowed to check in early as our room was ready.

Nice hotel in a good location, very close to Euljiro 3(sam)ga metro station so you could easily get around to visit the main sights. Convenience store downstairs was very...convenient. 😄 Room was clean but small (although that was expected). Our biggest issue was the lifts - they're so slow! I wanted to use the stairs even though we were on level 8, but was told at reception that we couldn't. My husband is actually a lift mechanic and he observed that the dispatching has been poorly configured, so you wait a long time for a lift. They should get their lift company's service mechanics in to review it!

Checking in is very fast and easy. We found the hotel really fast too. We just did the airport shuttle bus number 6015 and get off at Hotel Kukdo. When you see the bank cross the crosswalk there and it will be just a 5 minute walk from there. Our room is the Suite Botanik and is very spacious for a family of 4. Their amenities is great too specially the washer and dryer inside our room. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

Location was excellent. One block from \"The Stream\" running thru Seoul which we found provided a nice short cut to various sites around Seoul. Staff was excellent. They were attentive and helpful. The Hotel had an excellent morning breakfast that you can include when you reserve a room or you can drop in like my wife and I did for single day pay. A vibrant maket place is within a short walk for food and other gift shopping and we would take home dinner or lunch quite often after a day of sight seeing. Five Star Hotel for sure.

Hotel itself was great, room was also fantastic.
But 1) view was poor (view of multiple demolished buildings). 2) we had a suite with kitchen appliances etc, but the room was without even simple cutlery/utensils etc. these were chargeable to the room to “hire”.
3) The room wasn’t cleaned everyday, despite them saying it would be at least every other day.
4) the staff refused to let us leave our luggage with them for 30mins upon checking out whilst we waiting for our taxi to the airport, and they said this would also be chargeable. Only after making a plea to them, they held the luggage for us, otherwise they were going to make us pay for it.

Overall a good stay, great breakfast, great location, but not so great offerings elsewhere as mentioned above.

In general it's a nice hotel but i wouldn'tstay again. A couple of things that bothered me were:
1. We reserved a two-bedroom suite. That is a bit of a misnomer. They were bedrooms in a non-traditional sense.
2. The room offers zero privacy. If you're not traveling with your partner, know that the bathroom door is glass, the master bedroom door is glass, and there is no door on the second bedroom. Since I was traveling with a friend, a little privacy would have been much appreciated.

Another thing that surprised me about this hotel is that they charge you for literally everything. I called to get some ice and they told me I had to go to the store and buy it. I wanted to store my luggage as I was leaving and I had to pay for that too. Water? Pay for it. It was just not what I'm used to in a hotel experience especially one at this price point.

The positives are that the hotel is very clean and the beds are reasonably comfortable.

The breakfast was nice - although two rooms were open for guests, it still felt too many people for the space and you often had to wait for things to be restocked (coffee cups for example). This was no bother but saying in case it is for some people.

Location was excellent near the subway in a quiet area between busy Myeondong centre and markets!

Washing machine and tumble dryer an excellent addition.

Room itself was big but was disappointed having booked an apartment style room only to have two cups, 0 cutely, no glasses, no plates or amenities in the room. I had to ask for those from downstairs but they could only provide me with more mugs and spoons and nothing else! After long day with family and kids, some nights it was nice to stay in and eat excerpt we had very little to cook/ eat with.

Room clean was daily but it was to empty bins only. We aren’t ones for a daily clean if I am honest but when a clean was needed I was surprised that it was beyond basic!

We were a little disappointed having asked to cancel breakfast after paying for it for two nights (due to early start - poor planning on my part) to be told we couldn’t as its hotel policy because of the booking deal. We had no deals and overpaid massively for this hotel. We paid room fee outright and paid for breakfast at the property separate.

We liked it but honestly I am unsure if I would stay there again.

We stayed at Hotel the Botanik twice totally 10 days with our 2 kids. We would definitely stay here again.

Pros: very clean, enough space in the room with kitchenette, centrally located, nice view from roof.

Cons: main bedroom has a glass wall and second bedroom has no door meaning it's hard not to disturb others who are sleeping. Games room was very expensive and not included.

Staff will tell you there is nowhere to get coffee in the morning except Emart but you can get coffee at Paris Baguette in the Subway very nearby at 7am.

We travelled with a 11 month old and a 5 year old and stayed in the Botanik Signature Suite and it was perfect. The size and layout of the room was fantastic, the kitchen, microwave, laundry machines and the two bedrooms were so helpful.
It’s close to many attractions; Dongdaemun, Myeongdong shopping, Gwangjang market, a few department stores for shopping and some great selection of cafes. The hotel is also close to different subway lines and it’s in Myeongdong but not in the heart of it so it’s not busy at all. The only downfall would be that there are so many construction sites around the area but other than that no complaints at all. Would totally stay again next time we come! :)

We really enjoyed our two-week stay at Hotel The Botanik in Seoul. We had a suite, and it was spacious, with two walk-in closets. It also had a refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven, stove, washer/dryer, and even an interesting clothing \"refresher.\"

The bathroom was a good size, and the shower was nice, but the lighting in the bathroom was a little harsh. We did notice that the floors were not as clean as we would have liked them to be, and it seemed that they didn't get cleaned much, if any, while we were there.

Overall, though, a great place to stay. The location was excellent, with easy access to the subway just a couple of blocks away.

This property will not be an ideal vacation hotel. We had to walk through an alley to get to the hotel. And it is far away from everything. The area is not that safe to walk back to the hotel at night. The receptionists were not as friendly. The bed sheets were dirty. And they don't change it. They just provide new towels only daily. My bed sheet was dirty and the spot have been there since my first day, and they don't change it. At night, anyone could follow me to the hotel and get in to the elevator area while I was waiting. The receptionist area is in another building.
