This hotel was such a good find! The price was perfect and the rooms were always clean. Everything we wanted to do in town was in walking distance and the subway was super close as well!! The managers were really friendly and made us feel at home!! Definitely recommend 10 out of 10 !! Will definitely be coming back here from my next trip!

This was our first stay at South Korea. The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was close to the subways and bus. There was also a emart next door. The location was perfect .

This was our second time staying at this hotel. Everyone liked it the first time and so we stayed there again. We were happy to come back to a familiar place. The hotel also has a scale to weigh our luggage. This helped us sort through things before we took the nearby airport bus.

Merlin has magic in its staff

While the Merlin is not 5 star, the service is awesome, it’s an older building but what it lacks in appearance is more than compensated by the helpfulness of the manager and other staff. People who complain that it’s old should spend more of their money and go to some fancy hotel where the service can be very impersonal. The Merlin is small but the personnel have big hearts. I definitely would check in here should I visit again.

1st time in Seoul for our group.
The photos on the website were not what we expected.
Room was rather small and could have used some refurbishment.
There was a loft, but you could not stand there… I had to crawl from the ladder to my bed.
What made up for the room was the staff.
Very helpful!
They provided free bottled water and had a laundry service across the street for us.
The hotel was close to one of the subway stations and rather convenient.
Would we stay there again?…. Probably not as it was too small for us.
What made it okay was the staff’s friendliness and we were only there to shower/sleep since we were out the whole 7 days we stayed there.
Also, get a room on the opposite side of the street as the sun makes the room very warm (even with the A/C) on.

For me

I wanted to repair the place where I stayed for 4 nights. size, cleaning, and service are no problem. The color of the wallpaper and the place seemed very old. The toothbrush was bad, I thought I needed a big towel. the location was beautiful

The sink and washer were both broken they were way to relaxed about security. The code to my room, and many rooms was 1234. When I asked for a new key I didn’t show ID. Just gave them my room number and they printed one out. The worst part was that the pillows and mattress were incredibly uncomfortable. Can’t get past that.

객실 상태는 양호하였지만 객실 사진과 다른 곳

객실 사진과 저렴한 가격을 보고 숙박을 결정하였습니다. 그런데 객실 사진과 실제 객실이 상당히 큰 차이가 있었습니다. 그리고 커튼을 열고 싶은데 옆 주거 건물이 보여 커튼 열기가 곤란하였습니다. 그리고 혹시 몰라 치약과 치솔을 사서 가지고 갔는데 샴푸와 바디워시가 통만 있고 채워지지 않은 상태였습니다. 아무래도 오피스텔을 개조해서 운영하시는 것 같았는데 화장실 헬로우 키티 스티커는 없애는게 좋을 것 같습니다. 그래도 에어컨을 잘 나오고 객실 청소상태는 양호하였습니다.

The hotel name is no longer Chungmuro Residences but Merlin Hotel. This is already a BIG misleading for people to book the hotel. So many amenities were not available as well like washing machine, iron and a shower curtain. Bath towels will actually run out of stock.

WORST HOTEL EVER

I have stayed at more than 100 hotels in my life. This hotel is the worst hotel.
Room is terribly small, the bed and pillow were terribly uncomfortable.
The light at the bathroom didn’t work. There is nothing at the bathroom except for a soup.
It is the first time for me to write review.
Just not stay this hotel.
정말 여러 호텔을 다녀봤지만, 이런게 호텔이라는 놀라움을 감출 수 없는 호텔이다.
모든 것이 엉망인 호텔이다, 베게는 너무 불편하고, 이불도 엉망이고, 침대 또한 엉망이였다.
다시는 이용 하지 않을 호텔이다.

Great Stay

I stayed in Chungmuro Residence & Hotel for almost a month. The location is very accessible to all the major tourist spots in Seoul. The subway and bus stop is near the hotel. You can just walk going to Myeongdong and Dongdaemun wherein most of the major shopping malls are located. The room is also bigger than most of the hotels in Seoul.

Cute, great location, great rooms & facilities.

Loved this hotel, it was in a great central location close to a main metro line. The hotel really stands out because of its cute suitcase style & the rooms inside are like mini apartments rather than hotel rooms with a kitchen, table+ chairs, bathroom and beds. We also had a great view of Namsan tower. The hotel staff were always very polite, helpful and nice too.

初の韓国一人旅で利用させてもらいました。
口コミにも書いてある通り、シャワーカーテンがないので気をつけて浴びないといけないのがマイナス。浴室ドアに隙間が空いているので廊下の方までびしょびしょ。あとは床暖房が効いているけどエアコンで調整できないので布団の中に入っていないと寒い。風呂入ってすぐ寝るならいいけど、少しお酒飲んで寝ようとしたら寒かった。

チェックインは日本語ペラペラな女性が対応してくれて韓国語話せなくても安心です。親切に対応していただきました。
バス停も近いので、部屋にこだわりなく寝るための部屋として利用するには良いです。

韓国ソウル旅行のベースとしてエクスペディアで予約しました。
エクスペディアからは明確な予約確定通知が来なかったので直電で予約確認をした上で訪れました。
ロケーションは最寄りの駅が「忠武路」で明洞からは一駅、ソウルからも三駅の好立地でした。
バス停もすぐ近くにあり大変便利でした。
ご人家族なのでどんな部屋かと心配していましたが、いざチェックインしてみると最上階のロフト付きの部屋で、下層にはシングルベッドが3つ、ロフトにマットの寝床が2つと言う設定でした。
アメニティーは歯ブラシと髭剃り以外は揃っていたかと思います。
何よりフロントのオバサマとオジサマがとても愛想が良く親切で、その上ロビーには無料のミネラルウォーターと朝はコーヒーとバナナケーキが振る舞われとても助かりました。
ベッドは硬めですが総評価としてはかなり好印象でした、お勧めです。

少しカタコトだけど日本語対応してくれる男性の方と普通に流暢にお話できる女性の方がいました。
でも、常にフロントに常駐しているわけではなく、呼び出しボタンもないので、何かあった時はすぐ呼べないかもしれません。
外出する際は、常にカードキーを持参し、帰るときにフロントに置いてある返却皿に戻しました。
今回、泊まったシャワー管理はシャンプー、ボディーソープが全く補充されてなかったので、持参必須した方がいいです。

The hotel is in a great location, 5 minute walk from the airport bus and nearest metro, and a few seconds to the bus stop that will take you into Myeongdong or Dongdaemun. The view from my room on the 9th floor was beautiful and one of the best things about my stay. The room itself is not the prettiest or most welcoming-looking, and the bed was very hard compared to what I'm used to, but I got used to it quickly and I had a really nice time there. The staff are also super friendly, and I was even allowed to check in 2 hours before the official time as my room was already ready. This was great after having travelled for 17 hours and not something I've experienced at any other hotel I've stayed at in Korea.

みなさんがおっしゃる通りスタッフの方々はみんな優しく親切です！
どの時間もスタッフがいるので、安心。
日本語が話せる方もいます。
挨拶すると優しく返してくれます！

衛生面などですが、確かに高級ホテルに比べたら、清潔さなどにはかけますが、南山タワーが見える窓が大きなお部屋に私は大満足です！！虫もいませんでした！あと、スーツケースも広げられる広さでこのお値段は安いと思う。

あと、大きな冷蔵庫＆冷凍庫はありがたい。
ロビーでもらえる水もありがたすぎる。

シャワーとトイレが一緒で床が濡れます。
ちょっとカビ臭い感じがするのと
エアコンが直当たりするので寒いです。
夜行便利用の際の、数時間寝るだけだったので利用しました。

店員さんは優しく水は飲み放題、レンジも使っていいので、めっちゃ安かったし金額的にはよかったかなと思います。

建物が古く独特のにおいがする。シャワーとトイレの間にカーテンが無いのが困った。
しかし、交通の便が良いところに位置し、スタッフも親切。周辺にコンビニも飲食店もあり、立地がとても良い。水もフロントから好きなだけもらえるので、快適に過ごすことができた。

酒店距離忠武路大約十分鐘，附近地鐵站出口無有電梯，拉着行李的建議使用對面的出口，有扶手電梯。
酒店比較舊，廁所浴室沒有乾濕分離。房間設有閣樓，即使不使用閣樓，空間亦夠大，方便收拾行李。lobby有樽裝水免費供應，很貼心，房間看到N tower.

安い割には普通にいいホテル。ゲストハウスではない。ドライヤーもアメニティもあったのでよかった。受付のおばさまが凄く親切。気温が−6度の日があり、部屋が少し寒かったが、暖房は入らなかった。暖かい格好で眠れば12月は問題ない。ダブルベットに、ロフトもありベットもあったのでゆったりしていていい。流行っているトコジラミの検査も済みのホテルなので安心して泊まれた。

별로예요. 방은 처음에 좋아보였는데 자세히 살펴보니까 식탁에 밥풀 묻은게 안 닦인채로 굳어 있었고, 창문으로 바람이 많이 들어왔어요. 난방을 따뜻하게 해달라고 부탁했는데도 추웠어요. 그리고 많이 수압이 약해서 수압 중요시하시면 더더욱 비추예요

대체적으로 괜찮은거 같습니다.

서울 도심 풍경이 한눈에 보이며 분위기가 좋았습니다.

다만 창이 매우 커서 그런지 바닥은 따뜻한데 침대는 좀 추운 느낌을 받았습니다.

기본적인 생필품은 주지만 면도기나 샤워타올 같은 것은 추가로 구매해야 했습니다.

仕事で､3泊ほどしました｡
場所は､
地下鉄 2､5号線ウルチロサガ駅から､～8分
地下鉄 3,4号線チュンムロ駅から､～5ぐらいの場所にあります｡
ホテルより､チュンムロ駅行く途中に､
エアポートリムジンのバス停もあります｡
かなり便利な場所と思います｡
かなり部屋は､大きく､天井まではかなり高いです｡
スーツケースは問題なく開くことができます｡
元々､賃貸用の部屋を改装したのか､
大型の冷蔵庫があり､
宿泊した部屋では使用できない状態でしたが､洗濯機もありました｡
お風呂は､シャワーのみ､トイレも同じ場所にあります｡
温度は問題ありませんが､水量は少し少なく感じました｡
シャワーとトイレとの間にカーテン等がないのでトイレは濡れます｡
冷房は､エアコンで冬場は使用不可｡
暖房は､オンドルのみ､宿泊時､外気温は－10度ぐらいでしたが､部屋が少し寒い感じがしたので､フロントに言って､温度を上げてもらいましたが､温度が上がるまでしばらくかかるようです､
21:00頃帰宅して､朝方はかなり暑くなります｡
遮音は､低層階なら､前面が大通りに面しているので､
交通量によってそこそこ騒音が聞こえます､
入口側は､そこそこ外の音が聞こえます｡
今回､利用して､気になったのが､
スーパー等コンビニ以上の購入するところ近くに
見つからなかったことです｡
コンビニは､隣にあり、周辺にも多数のコンビニはあります｡
食事する場所は､結構あると思います｡
明洞､ソウルが近いので､問題はないと思います｡

2018年第一次入住覺得不錯 2019年再入住發覺比上年差很多
例如沒有熱水壺，沒有浴簾，沒有牙刷，連最基本的東西都沒有不要叫酒店！唔有水杯變了紙杯，被單有污積，最後一天執行李預備離開比服務員催促離開，雖然地點好方便但不會有下次同一地點還有很多選擇

思ったより良かったでした。

夜に蚊の襲撃に遭いましたが、ベープマット備えてたので大丈夫。
コンビニ近いし、駅もそんなに遠くない。
wifiよく繋がります。
もともとコンドミニアムとして利用されてた様で、キッチンも大型冷蔵庫もありましたが。キッチンと乾燥機洗濯機は使えず。
室内で料理したら罰金と貼紙ありました！
食べ物は、1階のテーブルで済ませるのが無難。

朝食がカップラーメンとゆで卵、ジュースコーヒーと食パンのみでした！
ちょっと驚きでした笑
二日酔いならいいかも知れませんが！
朝食は抜きのプランでもいいかも知れません！

冷蔵庫が閉まらなくて、ピーッピーっと定期的になるのが気になり、冷蔵庫の繋がってるブレーカーを落としました。

明洞中心から近く、タクシーも拾いやすいです。
フロントスタッフは英語が話せるので韓国が話せなくてもなんとかなります。
空港までのリムジンバス停まで5分ほどで利用しやすかったです。

天井が高く、朝日がとても綺麗でした。
