While everything was clean and the staff were lovely, the rooms were only okay, especially for the price. There are also no outlets near the bed at all so don’t count on charging your phone on the nightstand. The hotel is across from a French Korean bakery that has a variety of food and drink options and an Olive Young. There is a 7 Eleven nearby as well.

2025 Trip to Seoul

Easy check in and out process, there are kiosks as well as staff to help you. Room was very spacious for my partner, very clean, bathroom had essentials ready for you and toilet had a bidet which was nice. There is a touch pad that controls lights, heater as well as if you needed room service or if you choose not to disturb. Bed was two twin sized beds together so middle of it had a divot could be better with the sheets and pillows were flat, we had brought our own blankets as all they gave us was a thin layer cover.

Hotel located off the main tourist area, but reasonably walkable access to subway, clothing outlets and traditional market shops. Our room is small and a little dated with city view high floor. Very convenient hot/cold water dispenser on each floor. Friendly staff.

Great value for this room size. We are able to open our luggage in the room. Very close distance to the subway station line 5 & line 4. The only problem with this hotel location is that there aren’t much restaurants that open late. There just a take out chicken place, Korean pub & 24 hour instant noodles place. There are 2 cafes across the street and many convenience stores around the area.

An English speaking staff member was always on hand to answer questions, provide information and offer suggestions. I was there during a holiday when a lot of the shops and restaurants were closed but I was provided with some good resources and helpful information. I'd definitely stay there again.

I stayed for 3 nights in a twin bed room and I had a delightful experience at Skypark Dongdaemun I.
The staff are really kind at reception, helping with the self-service check-in machines and explaining every detail about your stay.

You are given two codes: one for the elevator, and one for your room. I had a South facing room with a lovely but not outstanding view.

The hotel itself is close to 2 bus stops and 1 subway station which can get you anywhere you need to go in a reasonable time frame.

The breakfast is nothing amazing so I would recommend eating out but I did enjoy what I had.

Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful! There is a coin laundry and microwave on the second floor that is super convenient. Each level has a refillable hot and cold water taps which is great for late night instant noodles which you can buy at Emart (right across the hotel). The hotel is perfect walking distant to the well-known gwangjang market where you can experience delicious Korean street food and buy some interesting souvenirs! The hotel was close to a train station, easily taking us to places smoothly. Definitely recommend this Branch and would come back to this hotel when the chance to visit Seoul comes again!

This property is conveniently located to pick up and drop off locations of the airport limo bus 6001. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable. The hotel breakfast is a must. A good source of energy for the day. Laundry facilities also available. This property would definitely be on the list to stay at next time.

Visiting back to the country as a Second Korean War DMZ Veteran 1966-67. Overall the property was more than adequate but could be cleaner. My real complaint is that the staff at the front desk who were not very friendly and very abrupt and condescending to any questions or inquiries. Thinking the current generation of Koreans have less respect for elders.

Location is near to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station exit 6 (No escalator & lift to ground floor). Walking distance to Dongdaemun market. Has cafes and convenience mart nearby.

Need to make reservation 1 day in advance for the free shuttle bus. Shuttle bus can bring us to Seoul Station and other Skypark hotels. Is very convenient for us as we can take shuttle bus to Seoul Station and no need to carry the luggages down the flight of stairs.

Has washing machine and dryer. Has printer at ground floor for public usage. The printer was not working well and the staff was kind to suggest printing for us.

Room is spacious enough for 2 people. Clean & neat.

Location is very convenient, just 5 min walk from exit 6 of Dongdaeman History and Culture subway station if you use subway line 5. However if you are using line 2 or 4, distance may be longer.

Room is very clean and towels are clean. No complaints on cleanliness.

However hotel staff are not very friendly or warm. So if all you need is a clean and convenient hotel stay without much help from hotel staff, then I recommend this hotel.

Probably one the best!

I don't go travelling very often, but this has to be one of the best I've stayed at. The service and the location was great. The staff were all willing to help when we asked them about the area and getting to one place or the other.
For a young (now) travelling person like me, it was a safe and great hotel. I really did think that it was my home in South Korea.
Room was very clean, and the cleaning service was well done despite how messy we can be.
The train station is very near, despite the walk from Exit 6 to Line 2 & 4 but it was all worth it in the end.
Shuttle bus is always on time, and there is a few 'home-y' food stalls around, as well as cafes.
The walls are quite thin, but they are not that bad. We didn't complain, and others didn't complain about us. Win-win situation I guess.
The laundry and business room was very useful to us, since we needed to check important emails via desktop and have nice clean clothes for most of the trip. I did have some problems with the laundry but the staff were always happy to help and gave me a refund when the machine ate my money.
For my next trip to South Korea, I am definitely booking again at Hotel Skypark Dongdaemun 1!
Thank-you so much for this memorable stay and I hope to be back soon. :)

Everything was great!

As the title says, everything was great....except maybe for the strange sound outside our room which disappeared after a few nights. It was most likely an isolated incident so we did not bother to report.
Other than that, this is definitely a great hotel to stay in.

I stayed there 5 nights and was very cold weather, and front doors are very heavy to push and pull. Would suggest hotel to change the doors to auto type. Cause when we arrived with our baggages, we still have to open the heavy doors by ourselves and it was very hard and hotel staffs just stood there and watched us struggling with 4 big luggages and handbags. Very disappointing service at first arrived.

I had a pleasant experience at the hotel. The room and bathroom were clean and functional. However, there was difficulty communicating with staff at the reception desk in English. Also the breakfast buffet was deficient on continental breakfast items such as oatmeal, wheat bread, etc.

The room was small. We had to open the luggage each time we want to take out our stuff and then close and leave it upright as there's no space to lay out 2 luggage. There was only 1 narrow closet space.
We had a shock the night we checked in. One of the ceiling board in the toilet was not placed back properly and we could see the pipes above. We called the front desk and one of the staff came to check. He was just as surprised and actually asked if we opened the ceiling board!! Duh!! Why would we do that!! Yeah, like we opened it to see if there was anyone hiding there!!!! And I told him to check if there was anyone or rats up there he said \"Don't scare me\".
Only consolation about this hotel is that it's clean.

Convenient location and reasonably priced!

I wasn't sure what to expect for my first stay in a Korean hotel. The staff was able to interpret and communicate well enough in English to meet my requests. The hotel is very clean and extremely efficient, with all the automated electrical features in the room. The room was a little small and the mattresses a bit too firm. I could have used a cushioned chair, at times. But, the room was kept very clean and I am very glad to have stayed there.

A short 2 nights in Seoul

First of all, if you have luggage, take the limo bus from the airport. The subway station near the hotel has too many stairs and too few escalators. If I had known better, I would have reserved the Skypark Hotel in Myeongdong rather than Dongdaemun. There's more happening in Myeongdong, and any action in Dongdaemun is a bit of a walk. As for our hotel, it was very clean and everything worked, but the room was small (There were 3 of us), and there's really nothing interesting about it.

The room were clean & comfy, but is a little too small to house 2 big luggage. The staff speck English & is helpful, we booked 2 rooms, requested for high floor & to have it side by side, they fulfilled our requested. The hotel help kept our luggage while we travel out of Seoul, and we received a gift from the hotel on our return stay. The location was generally okay, near to subway station, it serve 4 different subway line, but subway line are apart, might need to walk a little distance, & climb many steps. Hotel provided shuttle bus to dongdaemun, myeongdong & Seoul station. There are bakery shop, cafe, 24hrs convince shop nearby. Generally we are happy with our stay.

It was nice staying there. Clean and very good service. Every time we have matters that we couldn't solve on phone, their staff will appeared in our doorstep in a minute times. Very efficient. We love this Hotel. Very near to Dongdaemun Subway Station exit No. 6. 80% of front desk staffs able to converse in English.

Clean and reasonably-priced hotel

As the hotel is new, the overall cleanliness is above average. Free shuttle bus services to Seoul Station, Myeongdong and Dongdaemun are greatly appreciated. A few well-known coffee and breakfast chains and traditional food places nearby. Hotel staff lacks the initiative and knowledge to make the stay more welcoming as compared to Skypark Myeongdong Central. Drainage system is not working well in the toilet hence the toilet is always wet after showers. Although there are 3 lines for the subway station, only Line 5 is the nearest. Need to walk quite a fair bit to Line 2.

Space inside guestroom pretty tight; no much walking space around. Upon check in, did request and was given 1 room to hold till 1pm for late check out on departure date. However front desk staff rang just before 12 noon to chase for check out saying they are running high occupancy. Inspite of explanations of prior arrangement, it was not accepted. No choice but asked to be given another 30 mins to pack up before checking out.

We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff as soon as we arrived at the hotel late at night. We were also given a coupon booklet for Lotte department store nearby, as well as complimentary face masks, which we were grateful for after a long journey to Korea! The rooms, although a little small, were clean and included a tv and safe.

The hotel counter staff are good in their customer services.

But one bad thing about this hotel is the hotel cleaner. During my stays in this hotel (for 2 weeks), the first 3 days are OK. But subsequently, she had either forgotten to place new pieces of hand soap or no refill of the bottled water and I had to call for the front desk for it.

The worst thing was the hotel cleaner did not CHANGE my bed linen (bedsheet) for 3 days !!! How I know, of course I know she did not change the bed linen and I made a complaints to the front desk.

Hotel Skypark provides free transports to Dongdaemun night and seoul station, etc, this is a PLUS point to the hotel.

Good value for the price, brand new clean building

We went for 7 days 6 night eating, shopping trip. The hotel is about 10 - 15 min walk from the main Dongdaemun shopping area, there isn't many food places, beside CJ World which is mostly for breakfast coffee + pastry, maybe lunch. The hotel itself is brand new and it's very clean and comfortable. The mattress is firm but it's not the hardest I've had in Asia. The room itself is very small, but the bathroom is good. Amenities like shampoo, body wash, face wash, and toner from Etude House as standard is also a plus. Guests also get 1 time face mask from Etude house. We didn't use the shuttle service much because we just walk to subway and go everywhere, but it could useful for those who plan to shop a lot and dont want to walk back to the hotel at late hours from Dongdaemun. Airport bus 6001 ($14,000 KWR per person) on the side of CJ World to airport is also convenient.

I asked for a hotel close to the airport as I only had a short layover and just wanted a quick rest. Unfortunately even with Expedia knowing where I was going I was given a hotel over an hour away. Seconds after the booking the mistake was realized, but, that was too late for them to change hotels as I had been given a promotional discount. The staff was unsympathetic and when I tried to discuss it suddenly they were unable to speak English. Seems when there are rooms to fill it doesn't matter how they do it.

Value for money, worth it!

Very accessible to the train and undergound shopping. Hotel has front driveway/space.
Standard room has Complete amenities. Bidet toilet, bath tub. Very clean and new. We Stayed there for 1 day coz better to stay at myeondong area which is just a step away to the flea markets/ shopping area

Good choice at Dongdaemun

Convenient location with 3-5mins walk to metro. Shuttle bus is convenient to shopping areas which is also walking distance. Airport express nearby. Restaurants across the road. Convenient stores nearby.

New and clean hotel

though room is a bit small but the overall deco makes you feel you have a comfortable stay.

Convenient location just above a metro exit and 5 min to the nearest shopping mall in Dongdaemun

Location is great. Room is a little too small for 3 adult.
Hotel provide shuttle from Seoul station, very Convenient.

Staff attitude is very disappointing. Its like i am giving them troubles for asking a set of toothbrush and info for airport buses routings....

The room is very clean and comfortable but too small. Very small!

Location - very close to metro station but its actually a long walk from Line 2 to reach the metro exit especially you are walking with your luggage its killing!

15min walk from hotel to Dongdaemun shopping area.
