Stayed here November 2025 for 6 nights as a solo female traveller

Hotel was clean, room always warm, lots of storage space, free to use washing machine and airers, free WiFi. About 10 minute walk from Euljiro 4 subway stop which links to main subways in Seoul making travel easy. Area felt really safe to walk around and close to Myeongdong and other tourist areas. 7eleven only 2 minutes away from the hotel.

Perfect stay for my first time in Seoul and hope to return in the future!

The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. Although there were some minor language and communication barriers, they did not significantly affect our stay. The hotel’s location was very convenient, with easy access to various transportation options just a few minutes away.

A bit of walk from public transit. The shower room is not what I expected. Water spread all over the floor when taking a shower. There is no block or curb to prevent water from coming out from the bottom of the shower curtain.

I liked how our room had a washing machine! Super convenient to be able to wash our clothes so we don't have to pack as much for trips. Hotel is also walkable to the train. Relatively quiet area too, there just happened to be some construction while we were staying here.

I did like the most having washing machine inside our room.

Most especially the english speaking receptionists..all the staff on all shifts were all amazing and very helfpul in anyway they can for getting taxi,food recoomendation,directions and more!

Highly recommended this hotel quiet neighborhood and close to main shopping district and attractions!will definitely will stay here again in the future!

Located across from the park and next new construction going on starting about 8am. The noise is of average city ie. Chicago cacophony. Great maid service , pillows, and front desk assistance abound! Bed- hard as a rock, but I’m loving the convenience to easy breakfast and markets and such!

Location was quite good as it was walking distance to 4 different train stations. Unfortunately, there was construction on the property next door which meant it was quite noisy during the day but this wasn't a major issue for us as we spent most of our day outside.

Property was in fair condition, the room was a bit dated and didn't seem to have been cleaned properly (there was hair in the bed). Overall though, it was a great value and had decent public transport connections nearby.

I'd also highly recommend PAINT Coffee one street over for breakfast & coffee, it's great!

Good location close to two subway stations. There's a 7-11 next to it, walkable area with many restaurants and 2 different 7-11 & convenient stores. It has a kitchen and washing machine, but no dryer which was not a problem since there's a laundromat by a 7-11. Good customer service, and the cleaning lady was very nice. Nice budget stay for the price.

Loved the reception staff and manager with their service and information for our stay and helping to get a taxi when we left for Busan. Maybe a bit smaller than expected but the smiles and service made up for the size of the room. Highly recommend to stay where the locals reside and not as busy as downtown. The washing machine in the room is a plus. Highly recommend to all travelers of all ages. Almost like a boutique hotel.

Tons of subway lines within 10min walking distance and different bus stations going all over Seoul within 5 min walking distance. Room cleaning/trash and new towels each day as well as 2 water bottles in the fridge. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel/body wash was great to use - not many places have conditioner as well so was a nice surprise to see - you can tell the staff cares about the comfort of the guests! Thank you!

We stayed there for a week and it was the best decision, hotel is close to bus stop and walkable destination to train station. The is also in a very convenient area close to the everywhere I believe. The hotel staff were the best very nice and polite and always ready to help if we had any questions. The room are good size I believe it would be okay for 2 people but as we were 3 people staying in 1 room it was a bit tight but manageable. Overall I would definitely come back again and stay at this hotel.

Fantastic Central Location with underground Parkin

The hotel is clean. However the sink in our room was leaking. I requested a service to fix it but unfortunately, nothing was done.
They never fix the leak. We didn’t call it again coz we came back at the hotel around 1am already.

The rooms were extremely dirty, especially in the bathroom. There were black mold on the wall and a very uncomfortable shower situation. There was barely any space to walk around the room and no space to even open our luggage to grab our stuff. So stuffed and cramped and there were only two of us. It was nice to have a view of the Namsan tower but the dirtiness and lack of space made the experience very frustrating.

They offer free water every day and a washing machine with free detergent
They also offer cleaning services every day if you wish for it.
People who work at Morning Sky are very helpful and speak more the one language

The staff were amazing! Always courteous and accommodating. They provide water and coffee daily. They have a washing machine in each room and provide detergent. It rained one day and they provided umbrellas. The desk staff speak multiple languages. The maid service is impeccable. This location is close to a subway station, airport bus stop and city bus stops. Great for travelers coming to see all the sites Korea has to offer.

Great location but…

You are steps from BIFF square, close to the Jagalchi fish market, and two metro stations. Great location with tons of food options. Self check-in was easy but be aware that there is no cleaning service. Not a big deal for short stays, however, the mattress was covered in plastic which made sleeping on it uncomfortable and noisy. It also didn’t “breathe” properly because of this and got extremely hot and the sheets started smelling unfresh. I am not one to complain about beds at hotels but honestly this was the worst one I’ve ever slept on. Good economical choice with a great location but it didn’t do it for me.

I stayed here for a week and a half, the staff was lovely and super helpful!
My only complaint is that the blankets had stains on it but aside from that everything was great! I came back once and my clothes were nicely folded on the bed and they helped me order food delivery to my room so it's safe to say they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay. The bed is a bit stiff but still okay. There are 2 7/11s on the left side of the hotel around 30 metres. I had read some comments that at night its dark...thats not true. It isnt pitch black, just shops closed. We walked back to hotel at even 12am. Very safe.

Only thing we didnt like was its a bit far from the Subway lines you have to do some walking.

The room is much smaller than what it shown on website; feel very congested. The front desk staffs in the morning shift are much friendly and helpful (especially the ladies). As experienced once on the first night when we returned to hotel from shopping; asking assistance from front desk staff (a male staff) where can we get the \"T-money\" card for subway, all he can answered us is \"I don't know\" and that's it! We only managed to get the cards on the 3rd day when we travelled to the central via subway for site seeing from a vending machine at the station.

It was a comfortable stayed. However, some inconsistent in daily replenish of housekeeping service. We booked twin bed room but the room amenities only for one person instead of two, such as bath towels. Not such a big deal when call to request additional towels it was delivered promptly. But on the second day, same thing happened after housekeepi service which they again replenish only for one person. This was getting annoying to repeat myself again calling for additional towels. Other than that the hotel staff were helpful.

It was our first trip to Korea and the smiling helpful reception staff at the hotel were a great introduction for us. \"Efficiency\"is the word for all our dealings with them. Example: I really needed to call Spain to change a flight booking. In no time Blaire was on top of it, helped make it happen, them got the help she needed to determine the price of my call. I highly recommend staying here and if I ever go back to Seoul, I'd love to visit them again.

Overall great experience, close to Line 2 (Euljiro 4-ga) station and Line 4 & 5 (Dongdaemun History & Culture park) station. Nearby hotel there's an independent coffee shop, even the franchise Ediya Coffee across the street is not bad. Bought a lot from Junbu market nearby for souvenir. The airport limousine stop is a bit tricky for first timer to the area, but people knows where it is and will show you how to get to your hotel/accommodation. People in this area are generally friendly. The staff at the hotel are friendly as well, making the experience a very pleasant one. Plus point is that the hotel room comes with a washing machine, and you can buy the liquid detergent nearby convenient stores or from Daiso in smaller quantity. Another big plus point is the level of cleanliness. Having stayed at various types of hotels I have to say The Morning Sky Hotel's cleanliness standard is superb, given it's a 2-star hotel (better than most 3-star hotels actually). Will recommend.

It was a 5 min walk from the nearest metro or airport limo bus stop, 10 min walk from the famous shopping district myeong dong. The hotel is apartment type, very quiet and there are two 7-11s downstairs by the corner if u need any drink or snack.

yes the bathroom is joint with shower, but if you are alone or with two you can still try to minimize the blast lol.

This place is great in terms of location, i can aee namsan tower from my window!!! I will definitely stat there again. If you are on budget, this would be a good choice

Arrived Seoul very early in the morning and reached the hotel at around 10:00am. Couldn't check in until 02:00pm. Overall hotel room is pretty big with washer. If you plan for a business trip, this hotel will be an excellent choice. Not very close to the subway though, about 10 mins walking not a pleasant experience especially during winter time.

Nice hotel that was in a good location

This is a good hotel, in a good location near a market and quite a few food locations. The staff was very helpful and always willing to do their best to be accommodating. However, the rooms are a little smaller than they appear in the pictures and I believe there was some construction occurring on the building that we were not informed of. This meant there was \"construction\" noises often during the morning hours.
Other than that, this is a good hotel in a good location.

As my flight was in the early morning, I arrived to hotel at 10 AM. I could do early check-in with 30,000 KRW which seemed convenient and flexible. The hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. Also, the location is great as it is close to the airport bus stop (about 5 minute walk), subway station ('2' line which is a loop line that can link to the most of the famous places in Seoul), DongDaeMun market (about 10-15 minute walk), MyeongDong and Namdaemun with 30 minute walk, etc. The cleaning staff did a good job every day.

False advertisement: no dryer, no cheap airport bus, no wifi- have to use public wifi, they will put you in a small room( Make sure you show them pictures online and they demand them to give you the right room that you pay for), no AC (unless you bug them, then they give you the remote for the AC), no free water bottle( suppose to get 2 per day for everyday you stay, we got 2 bottles for the whole 13 days we stayed), no toilet paper( we got 2 rolls for 13 days)no tissues
Stealing- steal Tommy Hilfiger pants, then deny it, I talked to 2 different people at the front desk and still pretend not to know and took no action
Sloppy and rude house cleaning, dirty bed sheets and covers

We wanted to stayed at a place with washer/ dryer, easy access to airport shuttle and clean rooms, we did not get any of that. Cheapest mattress ever for a hotel that stated its premium room and premium services,and smelly water in the bathroom.A lot of machinery moving around, not save for walking around the neighborhood. If I could give zero star I will. I did a lot of research before staying here, do not trust the high rating reviews. The rate was $70 per night, for the services and cheap stuff we got from the hotel, we could have stay at a hostel for about $15 per night not $70. Do not waste your money here!

This area was close from our first visit to Korea. This hotel have more info to how to get there,where to go for subway than previous stay. Other reviews had an issue with English barrier but I went to front desk every day of visit and even with different people at front desk they was still perfect interaction. The room is a lot smaller than the picture has and there is no separation between shower and toilet which could be an issue to some. Special thanks to Blair. She responded to emails how to get to hotel which saved money,limo bus vs. taxi, and that money saved we used for subway and awesome meal across from hotel,dont know name but it's first BBQ restaurant next to seafood market. It's been open since 1975 and it was amazing!!! Thanks again Blair for all your info and thank you Morning Sky!!!

Looks like in the pictures. Nice view from our hotel room. Can take the bus directly from the Incheon Airport- get off from Hotel Biz bus stop.

We stayed 4 nights and booked 2 rooms - Sep 14-17. It was Thanksgiving holidays in Korea. During that time we noticed that some of the entrance fees to tourist places like Lotte World were either half price or free, which was a good surprise for us. In one of the rooms the air conditioner was not that cool. Had soap and shampoo in the bathroom. Our welcome gift was 2 bottles of water in each room.

Front desk was very helpful when we had questions about sightseeing or about the airport bus. They understood basic English.

Right outside the hotel there is a children's playground and close by there is a 7/11. There is a cafe to the right of the hotel.

Nice hotel but hard to find

The hotel is clean and the employee are polite. They help my family and I order food. The location of the hotel is hard to find so take a taxi there. I took the subway so it took awhile to find the entry to the hotel. Restaurants are nearby but you do have to walk about half a mile. There are 2 small 7 Eleven near the hotel. The subway is about a mile awhile. Please note there is no shuttle from or to the hotel. Some website may say they do.

A nice hotel in the center of Seoul

The hotel is centrally located and 5 minute walk to #2 subway.
The staff are friendly and speak English and Chinese, always helpful.
Power outlet is Germany style, US plug will not fit, you can borrow adapter in front desk.
Room is equipped with washer and oven, because the control dials are removed, oven is not usable.
Housekeeper cleaned room and made bed daily.

2 people, 14days and a satisfied holiday!

The stay at this hotel was fantastic. It has all the necessary items for a long stay. Location wise was excellent, its near to dongdaemun and myeongdong. Those that enjoy shopping at this 2 location will love it. Cons: The room was a bit small for 2 people staying in it. Conclusion, this hotel is close to being perfect except for its room size and i will be staying at this hotel again if i visit seoul again. Will recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives.

Very basic hotel, poorly situated.

There was nothing wrong with this hotel, as such, it was just very basic, as to be barely adequate for a comfortable stay. The staff did just the bare minimum, the room was small and cramped and there was only one lift for a hotel that has fourteen floors, a lift that the staff seemed to share with the guests. Sometimes we'd wait a good five minutes just to get downstairs. The room was only serviced and towels changed in the late afternoon. The staff at the from desk appeared indifferent, and when we checked out at five-thirty in the morning, having been told the previous evening that the front desk was manned twenty-four hours and there would be someone on duty to order us a taxi, there was nobody there. We had to walk up the street with our bags to find a taxi ourselves.

The double-room consisted of a bed, kitchenette (2 stoves), washer. TV, free wifi, full-size fridge, AC/heater, reasonable size bathroom, and a good table and 2 chairs.

Kitchen stuff when you get it comes with 1 pan, 1 pot, 2 plates, 2 small bowls, 2 medium bowls, utensil for 2, and dish detergent.

Have to buy laundry detergent - 7-11 NOT in hyundai hotel sells a powder detergent at 3,000. The exact same one is 4,800 at the 7-11 in hyundai hotel.

At first glance, the room feels small but it is very functionally and well furnished. There is space to store the luggage away from foot-traffic.

5day in seoul

Me and friend booked 1 room twin bed,room a bit small but will do the job if you want to sleep only and be out all the day, bed's are comfortable but they need to add more below 1 is not enough, bathroom was good hot water available all the time and towels I recommend to get your own shampoo hairdryer good for short hair, staff are very friendly,check in and check out was fast and easy, room service is good, also 5 to 7 mins walk to subway station or bus stop and airport shuttle bus near too.
Overall our stay with them was exelant. I recommend it. Travel dates 18to23 May 2016

Excellent hotel at affordable price

Room type: Cosy apartment-style room suitable for long stayers. Walls are not noise-proof, but I'm ok with it.

Location: Hotel is strategically located around three stations - Eujiro4ga, Dongadaemun History and Culture Park & Chungmuro, which makes it easy to access most subway lines. I prefer to use Eujiro4ga Exit 8 where there is an elevator just beside the stairs. If you are coming from the airport, at least you don't have to carry your heavy luggage up the stairs.

Food: Do note that the hotel is on a Furniture street. There is only one café by the hotel entrance, and two convenience stalls. Also check out the old market nearby..

Hotel is just about 6 min walk from subway Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station or Euljiro 4(sa)-ga station. If you do not mind a little more walking, it is also about 15 min from Dongdaemun shopping area. It is also just about 5 min walk from the nearest airport limousine stop. Besides, it is just next to Chungbu market, a place for dried seafood and seaweed, ginseng, nuts, and most importantly our daily supply of fruit.

The hotel rooms were a bit older than we expected, but quite roomy and satisfactorily clean at its price. Basic amenities like shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush, electric kettle, etc. were available. Room temperature was adjustable and could meet our need. The window could also be opened when we need some fresh air. The view of the room was open and good.

Room was cleaned everyday. We were most impressed about their service. We found the hair dryer a bit damaged. As it was still safe and usable, we have not raised the issue to the staff. However, when we returned to our room that night, we already found the hair dryer replaced.

We were a bit not satisfied about the washroom. The shower area was only separated with the rest of the washroom by a shower curtain. Worse, the floor level of the shower area and the rest of the washroom was on the same level. As a result, shower water would splash to the rest of the washroom. However, the provision of the rainforest shower was good. The temperature and the power of the water was also satisfactory.

Great hotel with staffs who can speak English well

Location wise is abt 7 mins walk from the subway near Hotel Biz. Located near a hospital and there are 2 convenience stores a few steps away. Easy access to the populat tourist areas like Myeongdong, Dongdaemun and direct way to Gangnam too! The staffs were extremely helpful during my stay here esp when we needed to go to the hospital. They are wellversed in english and chinese so communication was a breeze. Though they should consider putting lights on their signage as at night, the sign is barely visible unless if u look up while walking.

receptionist could be friendlier

ok..could be better, reception personnel was not as friendly and couldn't care less. That is quite out of character as South Koreans are courteous, polite and hard working. The male receptionist was not helpful to almost rude and he was blasting music in his early morning shift. other than that hotel was clean and comfortable. Good location.

Nice View of Namsan tower.

Location:close to everything( walking about 5 min or less) like the local markets, Gwangjang Market,Jungbu (Chungbu) Market,Pyounghwa Clothing Market from there you can walk to Chenggyecheon Stream. At first my impression of this place was bad because of the area around it, like the hardware stores everything you need to fix the house and car. But after 2nights it seem ok. This hotel is also an apartment for the resident but some room they used it as a hotel. There are 2 elevators for guess and resident. Over all this place is good,quite and the house keeper come everyday. Two new water bottles everyday.There is also hot water heater in the room as well with tow mugs.There is a coffee shop next to the hotel. Good wi fi, cable TV with English channel news and movies. We would definitely recommend this place to others it is away from the hustle and bustle of dongdaemun, myeongdong and namdaemun.Even if you come back to the room late is pretty safe. Also there is park in front you can do some exercise.If you have any left over the only way you could heat it up is downstairs microwave. The hotel staffs are very nice.

Good stay for the price

Slightly weak on amenities but for the price, cleanliness, ease of access and proximity to locations Morning Sky delivered.

Neighborhood/region is right in the middle of Euljiro 4 metro and Dongdaemun History and Culture Park metro (convenient access to multiple subway lines). Mostly busy with the hustle of printing business during the day but some sights to see such as the market 2 min walk away.

Had a enjoyable no frills stay and was satisfied.
