The hotel was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and they give you complimentary water each day which is a nice touch. It’s about a 25 minute walk to myeongdong and there’s a subway station nearby. I would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for one night after making a mistake with our flights. We preferred this area a lot more than Insadong, it was not a late night kind of area with lots of folks partying which was a lot more suitable. Some of the hotel aesthetically was outdated and needed repairs but overall did not bug us too much (stains on walls, rips in headboard etc). Staff were very friendly and spoke decent English. It's walking distance to the Subway, outlet mall and nearby fish market. I would recommend staying here for international visitors.

We are a family of 3 and we stayed 1 night at Acube. The hotel was conveniently located near the train station and a short walk to DDP and the malls around there. There was a local market nearby as well but we didn’t have time to check it out.
Our room was comfortably for 2 adults and a toddler. We had access to the tent but unfortunately, didn’t have time to use it.
The best thing about our stay was Mr Hong, he went out of his way to help us in every way possible. We really appreciated his kind and generous hospitality!

The location was good close enough to the DDP (walking distance) and subway station but honestly this was our least favorite hotel we stayed while we were traveling around Korea. While the room was spacious enough the condition wasn't the best (stains/scratches on the walls, loose chair armrest, etc.) and we all found the bathtub was strangely way too high so getting out especially was difficult even unsafe. I would personally would not stay here again nor recommend to others unless you just need a cheap place to stay.

Acube is located in walking distance of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a very impressive modern architectural site, and is also close to some popular food markets and within a 20 or 30 minute walk to some of the pavilions. The building is a little dated but the rooms are clean and beds and linens are good and the staff is helpful. The entry instructions say to enter your confirmation on the screen out front but it didn’t work with my Expedia confirmation. No problem the person at the front desk looked after us.

Very dated facility, stained carpet and shower curtains (these are very noticeable stains, too - about 12cm diameter or larger), cracked walls and other signs of disrepair. Not many places to hang towels to dry in the bathroom (but they were replaced daily so this wasn’t much of a problem).

Still, staff was very friendly and attentive, customer service was great, and bottled water was provided for free daily and upon request. The hotel is located near convenience stores and a bus stop and we did not have any problems getting around without a car. Bed was very comfortable.

The staff were super helpful. But I didn't appreciate the stains in the carpet in my room. The fact that there's no restaurant or bar as advertised were also frustrating. I also don't appreciate the fact that you don't get a key and you don't have staff there much of the time. The neighborhood also doesn't have any restaurants or services near it.

Location may not be the top choice for shoppers but there is subway entrance about 2 minutes walk - once in the subway train = accessible anywhere

There is 24 he convenience store ( CU) about 2 minutes walk ~~ convenient for anything !

Price is reasonable ~~ enjoy our stay in this Hotel , thank you!

Quite a good location if you wander into the alleys for many restaurants. Jongno market is good for seaweed and dried stuffs. Ok distance to walk to the subway. Room we got is pretty newly renovated. Reasonable price.

A cube hotel provided exceptional customer service. Front desk especially Ken went out of his way to help us and make our stay amazing. The staff all spoke English and were happy to help. The hotel room was very clean and spacious. Wonderful big bathroom and very comfortable beds and very clean. The area was great too as only a 5-8 min walk to 4 major shopping malls and Dongdamun market so very convenient. It was also great to have the free breakfast included. The breakfasts were tasty And each morning there was a variety of different food. We highly recommend Acube hotel. Incredible value and exceptional experience.

We stayed 6 nights in a family room with 2 double beds, it was just nice for us 2 adults with 2 kids. I love the cleanliness of our room and it's considered spacious. The beds were very comfy, we had a good rest throughout our stay. Hotel location was in between 2 train stations, so need to walk a bit but train station exit to underground was just 2 min walk away and airport bus station was across the road, that is such easy access to and from airport. The only dislike was probably the breakfast choices were limited, and so I only had it for 2 days. Overall it was a great choice of hotel for us!

Jay (night shift) at the front desk was helpful and thoughtful. I had an early morning check out and he helped to book a cab as it was raining. The night before, I asked about the T-money pass refunds. He wrote me a note in Korean language, so I won't have any issues at the metro service counter when asking for refunds. Unfortunately, the service counters were closed. Appreciate your help Jay!

It would be good to edit on this site for different ways of transportation from the airport to get to the area and how to find the hotel and other obvious visual landmark and sinage for travellers to locate the hotel. A simple map will be good to get around the area. Also, this hotel has simple self service laundry and should update here.

Wonderful, friendly and helpful reception - especially the day time staff. They certainly go the extra mile to help you. Housekeeping is also excellent. Local area is not bad but we are with very young children so that’s a bit of a walk for them from the stations, but would have been very good for adults.

We are a family of three and stayed 3 nights in Family Plus room
Our reviews:
Room: Clean and nice. Has 2 queen size beds. They were comfortable, although the pillows were soft but not a big issue for us. The hotel provided bottled water, coffee & tea facilities and basic toiletries. The toilet is also clean.
Staff: English speaking, friendly and helpful reception.
Breakfast: Spread is ok.
Location: Near the subway, 5 mins walk to Bangsan Market.
Airport shuttle bus: Alight at Baiton Hotel cross the road and turn right, walk straight and just before the cross-junction, turn left into a small lane and a short walk you will reach the hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay. Just like one of the reviews I read, this is a boutique hotel. It’s not the Hyatt Grand but not Best Western. Accommodations for my family of 4 plus my mother we’re fine. Location was great and easy to get to from all our tourist destinations. Breakfast was fine as well although I was a little worried after some of the complaints about it not having variety. It’s much better than any contintental breakfast with warm options. We changed it up and walked 5 min to Gwangjang Market for some street food. The place was clean, quiet and the staff was excellent. Jay and Elena were the regular staff we saw and they were wonderful and always willing to help. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Great stay but mar by aircon system

Stayed twice (2 different rooms) during same trip to Seoul as we did a side trip in between. It’s located on a quiet side street off the busy main road which is good. 2 min walk to the nearest linkway to both stations (refer to their map). From there another few min walk to respective stations. A pleasant stay both times except for the second one, the aircon system didn’t work (shut down due to change of season as per staff). Only heating was available. The room was super uncomfortable, hot and stuffy (it wasn’t cold enough to warrant heating) We called front desk and was told to “turn heating off and open windows”. Well that didn’t help with ventilation, and we had a mosquito problem! In the end we had to shut the windows and put up with stuffy air. That was my only complaint. The hotel must change the aircon policy. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay in terms of cleanliness and location with breakfast included. Lots of cheap local restaurants next to Baiton hotel which is nearby.

Everything we needed for a family stay

Acube was the perfect hotel for our stay. We needed a room for 2 adults and 3 small children and stayed in a room with 3 double beds. It was a nice size as a lot of the hotels in Seoul seem to have a very cramped space with multiple beds. Acube had a little extra room and we were fine staying there for 5 nights.

In my view the breakfast in the lobby was perfect, enough to get you going for the day. If you need to gorge out on breakfast buffet so you don't need lunch then it won't be for you. If you want a typical asian buffet it won't be for you. But I loved it.

Wifi in the room was excellent, we used it to stream multiple devices at same time at night with no issue. Staff were helpful and went out of their way when we had a couple of requests.
There was a well known Korean drama TV show shooting in the street behind the hotel outside our window when we were there so that added to the fun.

Just on the next street corner (100m away) is the entrance to the green metro line station. Be aware it is then a 5 min walk underground to the actual station. It is easy enough but just good to know what to expect. Acube is basically positioned half way between two metro stations.
You can also walk back to Dongdaemun where there is a lot more going on than the immediate area around the hotel which is fairly quiet. To us this was way better than say staying in the middle of Myeongdong and having craziness all around you as soon as you walk out the hotel lobby.

The location of the Acube Hotel was in between two subway stops and very convenient. The rooms were functional and easy to use. Nothing fancy but definitely good value for money. The breakfast was simple and basic.

Pros : A fairly new hotel with everything fresh including the fluffy towels. Nice clean room with good wifi. Breakfast was a good continental. Hot meals were mainly Asian foods. It is not located in the main shopping area, but subway station is a short walk away and it takes 2 stops to Myeong-dong. Airport Bus# 6001 stops at Baiton hotel, 3 mins walk away. Cons : Check-in time should be much sooner than 3 PM (ideally after 1 PM would be better). Although some staff were helpful, they did not seem to have a good local knowledge. For instance, when I asked a staff how to get to Itaewon by subway she told me to take a subway line that took longer than the other line. And when I asked another staff about the airport train to the airport in late evening, she said there were no trains even though when I checked the airport train website by myself I found out that the airport trains would run till late. Overall, it's a good stay. If the price is still right in the future, I will return. Otherwise, I would rather stay in Myeong-dong.

Good location at the subway station, few mins walk to Dongdaemun mall and airport transfer bus is available at the opposite of the hotel side and self service laundry is available. But hotel location is lack of foods choice, need to walk 7mins to Gwangjamun market or else to Dongdaemun mall nearby.

A small, comfortable hotel with a helpful heart

It was an amazing stay for our family of 5. We booked the family room, which had 2 double beds and 1 single bed. Very comfortable stay. Clean room and efficient housekeeping staff. Simple buffet breakfast but they had the best croissants. Nearest train station exit is about 20m from the hotel. Nearest train station is Euljiro 4-ga is about 350m walk. Conveniently located, easy access to Seoul's attractions and landmarks. About 1hr to 1hr and 45mins. from Incheon Airport. Traffic can be bad so take the train if you can but be ready with stairs if you need to carry your luggage. Airport bus would be the next option. Would stay here again.

Nice hotel near Dongdaemun

Second time staying in Acube. Service is still excellent! This time they provided toothbrushes. I am not sure whether this was dependent on the room type, as I stayed in the Family Triple compared to last year's Studio room, or was it because of the frequent comments made by other guests too. I hope the hotel will continue to provide toothbrushes. I also hope the hotel management will consider installing some hanging hooks in the bathroom. There's limited space in the bathroom for hanging clothes or towels especially when there's 4 of us. Overall I will stay in this hotel again if the price remains reasonable.

Good boutique hotel with convenient location

* Convenient location, walkable distance (5-10 min) to both Euljiro 4-ga & Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Subway Stations, access to metro line 2, 4 & 5. Airport bus 6001 to & from Incheon Airport stops at Baiton Hotel, 3-5min walk from Acube Hotel.

* We booked the hotel room for last minute as our flight was cancelled. Our room Studio with limited side view was new & clean, though a bit small with very small window. Bathroom was spacious when compared with room size. It was very quiet & the sound proof was good. This room was not accessible by lift & we had to walk up a few stairs with our luggages. Fortunately, the reception staff helped us to carry our bigger one to the room.

* I like the coffee machine & toiletries provided.

* With similar price range & location as the previous hotel we stayed in Seoul, the breakfast selection & restaurant service at Acube is a bit limited, but the croissants were very good. However, the breakfast tables were a bit dirty with residues of croissants.

A small hotel that could!

Getting to-and-from this hotel is very easy compared to many others that require metro as the last leg. By the way, there are many hotels around this area. After arriving at the ICN, you take bus number 6001 and get off at Baiton Hotel or Acacia Hotel (Western Coop Side). The hotel is across the street from the Baiton Hotel heading North or walk West and cross the street from Acacia Hotel (Western Coop Side). We recommend you to get WiFi router at ICN and connect your phone to get a map view. Google map offers very good details of most of things in Seoul. The hotel is near by two metro stations with Eulji-ro 4 a closer of the two. Room is very clean and has kept clean by daily house keeping. We would rate this hotel's house keeping better than some of the 5 stars hotels we have visited. There is a convenience store near by where you can get a transportation card and many essentials. Otherwise, local area does not offer anything much. Our room rate includes breakfast. Do not put a high hope into the breakfast. It is an adequate and good breakfast. We have it everyday with satisfaction. Overall, we are pleased with the Acube Hotel in Seoul.

two night site seeing family trip

Room was clean and comfortable, we were on the second floor so there was a little street noise at night but it wasn't a big problem. Breakfast was a little lean but it was enough to get us going for the day. Location was near city center but a there was a little bit of a walk to the nearest metro stations. Front desk staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke English well. Overall, we were pretty happy with our stay.

Hotel staff are welcoming and friendly. Room is not big and space for hanging clothes and towels is very limited. It's also a bit hard to adjust the air con temperature for a non Korean speaker. Blankets are very thick and we had a hard time falling asleep. Location of the hotel is very convenient, only 10-15 minutes walk away from dongaemun / myeongdong.

Was given a room on the main floor where the lobby and breakfast dining area is. Upon check in I was told that there was no other rooms and was given an option to pay to upgrade. It was noisy until late at night and early in the morning. I had asked again the next morning and the staff offered a complimentary upgrade then. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was a pleasant stay.

The Good:
Room was very clean. Little bigger than normal size for a Korean hotel, which was nice. The bed and pillows were soft, the room was clean, and the provided toiletries were nice. Definitely enjoyed the stay.

The Bad:
Nothing really bad actually :)

The Eh:
The walk from the train station to the hotel was a little long and wasn't as \"clean\" as would be preferred. The hotel is about an 6-8 min walk away from the DDP which has some nice restaurants and cool things to see, but nothing in the immediate area. The breakfast provided, while free, was a little mediocre. Good croissants, but bland soup, tasteless pasta and squishy veges were less than appetizing.

Overall:
Nice hotel, don't regret going, but I will probably spring for a couple extra dollars for another place that is closer and has better food. Overall though, a pleasant experience.

Hotel whilst small, was superbly located. It is near the subway, near convenience stores (for the snacks/instant noodles/heat packs) and near different markets like dried goods market, a food street, a fashion street.

Even have a simple buffet breakfast (cereals / pasta / porridge / coffee / fruit). Actually the ideal type of breakfast, where you do not have so much food that you stuff yourself and can't eat anything local after that. Just nice to get you started

Comfortable and clean hotel

We enjoy our stay very much. The room is comfortable and with all the necessites in the room. They have very good service especially when we have some requests. The cons would be not much choices in terms of breakfast and location slightly further to the subway but you can have a choice either walk the underground subway or the normal pathway. I will stay in this hotel again if u were to come back.

Live up to its name

A3 hotel - amiable, affordable and accessible. I think the hotel truely lives up to it's name. Staff speaks good English and very helpful. Breakfast was simple but sufficient for us. It can be quite confusing to get to hotel on 1st day, but once orientated, it's actually very easy.

A pleasant stay. We stayed there for 6 nights. The room is clean and location is good. There is a market nearby selling lots of seaweeds & dry seafoods (we only found out the day before check out). Easy access to Dongdaemun, City Hall, Gyeongbokgung & Myeongdong. I like the freshly baked croissants for breakfast. But, the porridge is a bit plain. Suggest to have some kimchi to go with it. Also, instead of having hard boiled egg daily, to have some scrambled eggs on an alternate day.

Cosy and comfortable hotel

Plus:
1) Airport bus (6001) brings you to the hotel. 15000won per pax from Incheon Airport, about 1.5 hours journey. I recommend stopping at Baiton Hotel, then cross the street and walk towards Ibis Hotel. Acube is just before Ibis.
2) Near 2 subway stations (access to lines 2, 4, 5) - via underground passage which is just around the corner. It takes about 10mins walk to reach either station.Just treat it as exercise.
3) Simple breakfast which is good enough to start off the day - croissants, hard-boiled eggs, pasta or potatoes, soup, porridge, cereals, milk, orange juice, coffee and tea, fruit
4) Service is good from all reception staff. You can ask them for weighing scale to check your luggage is not overweight
5) Room is cosy with complimentary coffee, tea and bottled water. Although my room (4501) is quite small, there is still some room to walk even when we had two 24-inch luggage which we have to put one on the floor

Minus (though not a big concern to me):
1) No toothpaste or toothbrush. But they do provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap
2) Not many eateries or shopping around the vicinity. But you can just walk to Dongdaemun area via the underground passage
3) Not enough clothes hangar (they provide only 2)

The day when i checked in was in the morning around 9am, the staff also gave me a room for early check in without charge for rest, it was great :). Although the location of the hotel is 520m away from the Dongdaemun culture and History Park station, there is a underground subway connecting and you won't get wet or cold even in heavy rain outside.

Great customer service. The hotel employees are extremely helpful and accommodating. The area is not the greatest. Not too many restaurants or shopping in the immediate area. It's the interiors district so the stores are for lighting, wallpaper, furniture, etc. Not fun stuff for tourists. But the subway station is close and Dongdaemun is a short 10 min walk away (or just one subway stop) that has lots of shopping and restaurants so that makes up for it.

Very nice and clean hotel. Very accessible.

Our rooms are clean and big. The staffs are really friendly and are very helpful. Special thanks to Mr Kang who helped us to call the cab and carry the luggages. He also offered us milk and coffee to warm us on the rainy day. Thank you Acube! Highly recommended.

Clean hotel with Great Service and bonus breakfast

The gentleman at the front desk was exceptional. The service he gave us was absolutely 5*. Unfortunately parking is definitely an issue if you have a car. The breakfast was great with lovely fresh croissants. We were very impressed overall.

Great hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in the ACUBE hotel and we will put this hotel on our good places to stay the next time we are in Seoul. Hotel staff where friendly and always willing to help. Room was very nice and apart from the wifi being a little slow on the odd occasion (which is to be expected from time to time on a shared service). Hotel was within easy access of the tube and on a short bus journey from many places to see in Seoul. Would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

No reason NOT to rate a 5

I tried to find a reason not to give Acube a 5, but I just can't find one. Probably the only improvement opportunity is the snack selection, but you can walk 2 minutes down the block and find more of those. The location is perfect for the subway, the airport bus, shopping, site seeing and food so, what more could you ask. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotless and I love that it's a boutique hotel. With only 6 rooms on the floor it was so quiet and cozy. Part of my group had an early flight time so they would miss the buffet breakfast of eggs (boiled or scrambled depending on the day), porridge, corn soup, croissants and cold cereals. The hotel packed a breakfast including coffee for the. The hotel also offers a van for airport drop off for an extra fee. If you're a large party it's more cost effective than the airport bus without all of the stops. The airport bus stop is in front of Western Co-op and Hotel Acacia, right across the street. Bus 6001 is for ICN and 6021 is for Gimpo round trip and you can pay on the bus making everything super easy. I plan to return to Seoul and will definitely stay at Acube.
