I had a reservation from which I was forced to cancel due to a severe ice storm where I reside, the state was under an official state of emergency, and flights out of here were canceled, making it impossible and unsafe to travel.
I canceled two days before check-in and requested a refund or at least a credit, fully explaining the circumstances. I also provided screenshots showing my flight was canceled, along with information that is publicly available confirming the state of emergency and hazardous weather conditions.
Despite clear evidence of a natural disaster and circumstances completely beyond my control, they refused to offer any refund or credit.
This response is extremely disappointing and feels inhumane. Denying any accommodation during a declared emergency shows a lack of compassion and concern for customer safety, and instead reflects a company that prioritizes profit over people.
I would not recommend booking with a company that shows this level of disregard for customers during emergencies.

The room ran very hot and I couldn’t adjust the temperature, so slept with the windows open. The cleaning staff were great and thorough. Didn’t haven’t breakfast as we told there were lots of places in the area with better options.

The strength of this hotel is LOCATION. Can’t be beat, heart of shopping and right on the subway line.

The hotel reeks of cigarettes. The bathroom is a shoe closet in size. The bath tub is probably the worst design tub in history where you need to hurdle the side of the tub to get in (about 3 feet high). There is no electrical outlets near the bed, the only one is across from the bed by the desk area and you will need to get an electrical cord to plug things in. The best thing about this hotel is the location, but other than that it's low tier and should be ashamed calling itself a hotel.

Although the location of this hotel was close to Myeongdong station, the thermostat wasn’t able to change. The temperature as well as the mode (Heater/Air Condition) weren’t able to be alter which made our stay very uncomfortable.

The outside temperature was less than 10 Degrees Celsius and the thermostat was set on cool. Insulation wasn’t the greatest so we could feel the coldness and it was quite difficult to sleep. Please keep in mind that we came from an area in which it has tropical temperatures all year around.

There’s no room to open luggages. Breakfast was subpar. Elevators cannot accommodate the number of guests going up and down the building. Will need to wait a long time to be able to catch one on our floor or from the ground level. No conditioner, no lotion…only saving grace is the location. Will be staying at a different hotel when we go back.

So, when you get a room, just do yourself a favour and book a room thats bigger than standard double room. I booked standard double and ended up upgrading to bigger room because room was so tight. Bathroom is was tiny.
AC is central, so you can’t control it, and if your room is facing south, it usually gets super hot. I had to change room due to temperature issue.
Service wise, they were very accommodating. No big smiles but they will answer to your concerns.
Warning ⚠️ elevator is super slow. Give yourself extra time especially if you are on a lower floor

Great convenient location in vibrant part of the city and 2 minute walk from Metro. Buffet breakfast has decent selection and good quality. Staff friendly throughout. Rooms are good size with free water in fridge. Convenience store in lobby is nice. Only problem is the AC isn't very good so room always a little too warm and humid.

This was such a great property to book if you’re wishing to be in the heart of Myeongdong. It makes it such a convenient place to stay because the property itself is in the same building as Olive Young, Metcha Cafe and other stores. Because of this it can get quite busy when using the elevators but the noise itself isn’t such an issue.

Would definitely recommend and would consider coming back to this hotel when we go back to Seoul.

The rooms are clean however they could do with modernising but in all honesty you spend less than 1/4 of your time in the actual hotel and so I don’t see it as such a con.

We also availed the buffet breakfast option and found breakfast to be quite good. It has a good selection and would cater for both western and Asian palettes.

Over all 4:5 stars!!

This is my first time going to Seoul and this place is so convenient to everything (steps from shopping, lots of food options (street food, restaurant, etc.). The price is very affordable and they provide free lockers just in case you arrive early or want to leave later.

Great location!! If you are looking to stay in Myeongdong, I would highly recommend this hotel. It’s not in the middle of the bustling shopping area~ it’s more at the end of the market which you can navigate from all over the open streets to get to where you need to get to. Also, if you’re ever hungry, there are late note (24hr??) restaurants right across the street. Oh!! And one of the best thing about this hotel was the fact that you can catch a taxi without calling for one right by the bus stop in front.

PROS: Few steps from myeongdong street and has olive young and other stores in the building....close to main attractions..center of seoul tourism...lots of cafes..and food stores around the vicinity..has convenience store and money exchange in the building with good rate...PROVIDES BOTTLE WATER IN THE ref...they have buffet restaurant also and. The food is good ...

We leave our luggages into the lockers provided by the hotel before the check in time. We went back to check in before 3pm and we found out that 2 of our luggages were not in the lockers where we have locked (we even took photo of the lockers) we approached the hotel staff and she is not helpful at all . Later we found our luggages in some lockers that is not locked at all so the hotel management must do look into this issue.

The location was perfect! Close to subway exits and Myeongdong shopping! Room was always cleaned everyday. The fridge and safe were appreciated!

Our room temperature was too high and our room was hot even though we tried to adjust the temperature. The bathroom did not have anywhere to hang towels. The mattress was a little hard.

Overall it was a good place to stay if you’re not super picky and again the location was great - close to shopping, transportation and restaurants.

Definitely recommend!

Great location, just steps from Myeongdong Street and the main part of the night market. Multiple entrances to Myeongdong Station are also steps away. The hotel itself was comfortable and the single room was perfect and met all of my needs. Some of the furniture was a bit worn, but I wasn't concerned about that. The one thing I will note is that as an American traveler, my power adapter would only fit into the outlet in the bathroom. Not a big deal, but also not super convenient. Other rooms/adapters may be different though. Other people have commented on this, but the elevator situation could be better. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you're planning to spend a lot of time in Myeongdong.

You can't beat the location of this hotel. Literally on top of Myeongdong shopping. The room was clean although very basic in terms of in room amenities. Luggage storage was super convenient with the free lockers. I had a package delivered to the hotel during my stay and staff were very helpful making sure it was delivered to the correct address and pickup process

The olive young being in the same building could feel like a perk but with the renovating elevators you end up waiting forever to take the lift up. There are the other hotel elevators but you wouldn’t find them until after check in. You need to key card in after hours but it did make me feel like I was living in a much more open building than I would have wanted. The staff - perfection. On safety however I honestly don’t think I would rebook this spot.

Was excited for this trip just to be disappointed by the unfriendly and unhelpful front desk who initially assisted us for check-in. There were 4 of them standing and NO acknowledgment at all when we were standing right in front of them. There are NO other people checking in at that time to say that they were busy. I had to make a sound to catch their attention.
I understand that 3pm is the check in time but being tired from our trip we tried anyway when we arrived at around 2pm. The person just said NO! 3pm! What a welcoming remark. Being a front personnel for a hotel the person could have said, \"I am sorry but our check-in time is not until 3pm, for the mean time would you like to rest in our hotel cafe/ restaurant? Or perhaps leave your luggages here so you can easily roam around and come back later? OR our check in is not until 3pm but let me check if there is any room already available at this moment.
So many nicer ways it could have been handled.

The hotel is just next to an exit of Myeongdong station. And once you step out of the hotel, it is the busy streets of Myeongdong. It is easy to travel around seoul. And there is a small convenience store in the hotel itself.
Just take note of the limited plug in the room and please bring a simple international adapter, as it can't hold the weight of a heavy adapter.

The only thing I like about the place is the location. The building is old but ok. The beds are uncomfortable. We booked a “delux “ room for 4 people work only 6 pillows so I requested for 2 more but I was informed I can only have 1 since they are short of pillows & it took them hours to deliver after my second call. Worst is the slippers they provided were used! I would suggest they don’t provide at all if it was already worn by someone and it’s unhygienic . Everything should be disposable because those slippers are not washable unlike the bed sheets .

The room gets hot. When I called to report, they said they have to call engineering, without any follow up. When we called again on the 3rd day, they offered to provide electric fan. On another instance, I asked if I can borrow a table knife to slice some fruits, the reception just said “no” without any explanation and ignored us while standing in the front desk. As we walked by the kitchen and asked, we even requested if we can have it sliced instead if they cannot lend as the knife. They just said no and walked away.

It depends on who your front desk server is. I had someone beside me check in almost the same time as I did and same class of room as mine. He was able to have early check in at no extra charge.

My front desk server seemed new and inflexible. She insisted on the charge and also refused to allow me a complimentary late check out (by an hour). I had to borrow a wheelchair and returned it to her personally some nights later. It is likely she didnt make a record of the return as I was asked if the chair was returned the following day. Pity the 'rigid, by the book' server doesnt maintain her standard of rigidity both towards guests and inwards towards her own record keeping.

Feels odd for some guests to not be charged whilst at the same time a different staff is charging me for checking in 1.5hrs earlier.

The Myongdong area is full of life shopping and street food. It's packed and super noisy but it's a fun area.

The Migliore Hotel is awful overall though. We had a suite with a beautiful view of the Seoul N Tower. But there's no outlets near the bed. The coax cable for the TVs are frayed, there's stains on the walls and carpets and the constant hum of the elevator next to the room. There's no desk for work or study either. The bed is really firm with crinkly sheets that somehow prove to be noisy. A/C is centrally operated, no individual control in the room. No restaurant, gym, or lounge, (things I'd expect from a hotel claiming to be 4 stars). There's only wicker seats in the lobby hidden behind a row of industrial lockers. Rude staff, dirty overall and our room smelled funky.

Would absolutely not recommend this hotel.

I stay here yearly. Their master control switch has been an issue. Keeps beeping in middle of nite n turns on room lights suddenly. Reception was informed twice n repairs if done, failed. We stayed 14 nites. Turned on switch to indicate room was ready to be cleaned n the switch jumped to Do Not Disturb while we were out so room wasn’t cleaned. (For those who jump at sounds n lights turning on by itself when u are sleeping, this might cause distress)

We were told em only has 2 lights, abv dresser n bed. Foyer sensor lights don’t work but I’ve seen other rooms with it. Room is quite dark. There is also a lamp above wardrobe but since it doesn’t work too.

Heater wasn’t hot enough for us so they had to give us an external heater in an already packed n small room. What made it worse is at -17degreeC, the window had a small draft so room was colder than normal.

The chambermaids were inconsistent so only 1 gave us a towel for the floor. Instant coffee pkts were only provided on 3-4 days of my 14 nites.

Bath area was a sit down bath so there is a step in the tub which makes the tub v small if you wanted to stand n shower. Door to bath narrowly goes past toilet bowl so it’s a tight space.

What makes things a little better is the convenient location to subway n taxi. Also a convenience store couple units down n Isaac Toast.

A nice location and resonable value.

Nice solid hotel, lots of work going on first and second floors. It shares the building with another hotel, different floors check in. Be aware, always a 3pm Check in.
Decent price compared other hotels in that area of similar standard.

Prime location above Myeongsong metro station. Easy access to everywhere.
However, the hotel is very strange. They said they could not issue invoice, even though I paid to them directly, not through Expedia. I stayed there for business purpose; so, this is not helpful at all. I can not recommend to anyone with that. Also, no laundry services, which is very minus. Check-in staffs is still, no smiles and blunts business like. It makes me wonder whether they are looking at us as customers or just doing the routine check-in and -out process. With just a little smile, this unpleasant experience would change. Cleaning staffs are very kind and I appreciate their quick cleaning and fulfilment of amenities. Overall, if you want to stay close to the shopping district, this is it, but don’t expect the friendly smiles from this place AND this is not the place since the invoice can not be issued….

駅近で食事、ショッピングにとても便利です。ミリオレホテルになってからは初めての宿泊です。次回も利用したいと思います。
