Everything about the interior of the hotel and the staff was fantastic! The staff was very kind, welcoming, and attentive. The hotel was clean, and the breakfast was top-notch. The only problem was the location, especially in combination with it being New Year’s Eve. The hotel isn’t very close to much, but there were a few restaurants and a shopping mall within walking distance. Apparently, most restaurants (even McDonalds) close very early on NYE in Italy. We had to get room service because we couldn’t find anywhere to eat nearby. Other than that, our stay was wonderful!

This was the perfect hotel for exploring Milan with our kids. Immediately opposite a Metro station, it is incredibly quick to get into the centre of Milan - c. 25 minutes and it’s the end of the line, so a seat is guaranteed.
The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Interconnecting rooms are available for those travelling with children. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and the best of our stay. Breakfast was good. Parking is available for a nightly charge.

Great find for our family trip. The hotel
Is clean and well maintained, we had connecting rooms which was perfect as we‘re travelling with our 2 teenagers. The hotel is situated right next a Metro station so it’s super easy to get into Duomo without the stress of taking the car. The bar was nice and friendly. The only thing that let it down very slightly was the fact that the restaurant was closed, they were doing food in the bar, so you could still eat but it wasn’t great. Mine was cold and my daughters was bland. But other than that the hotel is fab and the staff were all great. We would stay again.

The hotel from the outside is unattractive.
Inside you are greeted with a cool, clean and modern reception. All the employees were well presented,attentative and knowledgeable.
No rooms have balconys which is a bit of a bind in the middle of a heat wave. Airconditioning was barely adequate. On leaving the room due to key card all power goes off including fridge and aircom.
Great location. We were in Milan for Bruce Springsteen concert there were no issues with transport. Metro literally within 2 minutes walk.
Overall very comfortable stay.
Special compliments to the young lady who immediately solved a problem with our mini bar!

Excellent access to the subway (across the road) but a bit far from the centre of the city to come and go during the day so plan ahead for outings. The suburb is not a good one for walking but there is a supermarket nearby if you need it.

Perfect hotel and previous reviews available I think are fair in a positive sense. Perfect location for the tube, small price to pay into the centre 20 mins, car parking outside the hotel within the grounds, hotel was very warm and comfortable, clean and very quiet, staff were very friendly and efficient. Not many dining options for dinner or something more special outside the hotel although more fast food options within a short ten min stroll to the nr by shopping centre. Would happily return should we come back to Milan.

It was very nice, and I appreciated that the staff have made us an upgrade room only because we told them we will come with a baby and we need a quiet room. The staff was very nice. I didn’t liked they got lot of services you need to pay separately, for example the parking. And what I didn’t liked was the breakfast, only few things to eat.. I though it will be more rich. But overall was very nice. The subway station was in front of the hotel, m5 and then m3 and in 20 minutes you are ate the Milan duomo.

The hotel room was nice and very clean. We enjoyed the bar at the hotel. Otherwise, we would not recommend this place at all. The staff at the front desk was incredibly rude and seemed so put out at any request. One of our travelers and we asked for extra pillows. You would’ve thought we were asking them for the world. Extremely rude! The hotel doesn’t have any restaurants nearby. It’s a hike to get to a restaurant. It was located by the metro so that was convenient. I would never stay here again solely based on the attitudes of the men who worked at the front desk.

Overall good experience. The one thing that was not convincing to me was the surrounding area of th hotel. The neighbourhood is fairly dirty, noisy, I didn’t feel the safest. Another thing that I did not like was the fact the bathroom was not the cleanest and I found food that was stuck to the bench by the close. I am a clean freak and I can not expect for all hotels to be up to my standard. Regardless, the staff was welcoming especially the front desk.

It’s not a tourist place, it’s in the middle of industrial area with no no places to go, the closest restaurant it’s 39’ of taxi or the metro across street will take to the center of town in 30’ with a transfer. The hotel itself it’s very clean, modern an organized, no food until 7 pm, but very good Notmy cup of tea!

My room was clean and comfortable however I found it humid, dark without the lights on during the day and didn't have a great view. The shower cubicle in the bathroom was compact. I struggled when showering because of the lack of space.

The room itself was nice and clean. The noise from pipes in rooms upstairs at night was ridiculously loud and woke me up a number of times. We walked around the local area a little and were surprised to find rotting rubbish on the street. The hotel is well- situated for the metro, which is great. I found one of the breakfast staff rude which soured the stay.

Clean, quiet and comfortable bed. Near train station and their are 1 shopping mall and 1 Lidl supermarket. Surrounding area is very poor and dirty. Feels like unsafe area. Lots of dump garbage and broken furniture on the street. There is nothing to do after dark.

Stay experience with Starhotel

We stayed with Starhotel Venice just before the stay here in Starhotel Milan. Though there are both starhotel, but we prefer the service and the room in Venice.

We were assigned to the room which seems not fully prepared for 2 pax to stay? Only 1 towel, 1 bath role, etc (quite a lot of items are prep in 1 pax).

Anyway the room is quite, we've enjoyed it very much. The stay is just infront the Metro, which makes travel very easy especially it's the last station (for now), so you are almost guarantee to get a seat when onboard.

Receptionist was nice to speak with, very friendly and helpful team. They have a bar for you to chill too. Overall we recommend this hotel.

Overall I would've expected better

I have a bit of a mixed review for this hotel, as there were numerous things we liked, and also many things we didn't like at all. I'll detail them below:
Things we liked: the room is a pretty good size and the bathroom was spacious and clean, with a nice area to do hair/makeup for my partner. Bed was fairly comfortable, but definitely could have been better. There's a lot of seating areas in the room we picked, including a sofa in front of the bed as well as a place to lay your suitcase and some extra chairs.
Things we didn't like: First of all, you have to pay for parking (14 euros per night). It's actually the first 4-star hotel we've ever stayed at in any country where parking at the hotel was not included- this put us off a bit, as even 2 and 3-star hotels give free parking on site. Room service wasn't very good, as our pizza was completely undercooked on one side and had raw bits of cheese. There are also no electrical outlets at all anywhere near the bed, so if you are having to wake up super early to an alarm like we had to, you'll need to run across the room to turn it off. The bed could've been a lot more comfortable and also the Wifi was not very good and was very spotty (so I don't recommend staying here for business). Thin walls & you hear people in other rooms easily.

Overall, we did expect better for a 4-star hotel and for the price we paid for it, as in other western European countries we've visited, the price we paid gives you a night at a 5-star hotel.

Enjoyed our 17 night stay in clean, modern hotel. Metro station right in front which made easy access to Milan train stations and tourist sites. Lidl reasonable food market and shopping mall was five minutes away. Breakfast was good with wide variety of warm and cold options. Housekeeping was superb and shower pressure was amazingly powerful, like going through a car wash. Double pane windows kept outside noise to minimum. This is a nice hotel very well located just across the street from a tram stop and Metro. The breakfast was good with many options, and plentiful but beware of their restaurant food in the evening. We shared a meal as we were tired from a flight and needed something close by. We ordered spaghetti with lobster sauce. There was no “sauce”. It was some lobster boullion and a cut up lobster carcass with spaghetti to fill you up. I found a tiny bit of lobster meat. Wait staff also didn’t seem happy to be there.

Amazing stay at a hotel that couldn’t do enough to please.

We arrived in a van and the car park had no space. They got a car moved to help us which was a great start followed up by a room upgrade.

The room was lovely, big and comfortable, the hotel was great all round. Opposite was the metro which can get you to Duomo via two lines (easy) within 20mins.

Breakfast was good, although hot food was a little on the not so hot side.

Overall, a fabulous hotel I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at again!!

We used the hotel during our European road trip. The location is quite convenient, there is metro station just in front of the hotel, trip then takes like 20 min to Duomo station for example. The property parking has it’s on parking but I can’t share impression form it because we didn’t you it. There was plenty of parking space available on the street next to the hotel during our stay (it was a weekend stay)
The surroundings of the hotel are not quite inviting, anyways there seems to be nothing to be seen there.
We got a triple room. it features big bathroom, very good room layout and offers adequate space for family traveling with 2 children. It turned out to be very nice and practical choice.

Thanks to the hotel for our hassle free and comfortable stay in Milan.
