Im sure that at 1 time, this was a beauty of a hotel. Not anymore. The supposed king mattress was nothing more than a worn out coil apring mattress that left circles on my back and hips.
Air conditioning and electricity only works while you are in the room, you have to insert a key card into slot on the wall. This card is attached to room key and cannot be seperated, so when you leave room you turn off electric and air conditioning. Try spending 6 hours on the beach in 90 deg weather and coming back to a HOT hotel room.
No staff in restaurant or bar, it appears meals may be ordered from a 2nd location.
No hot water first day
Furniture was all laminate and peeling off.
Staff says beach 300meters from hotel, more like 3000 meters
I stayed 4 days and saw 1 other guest.
I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. 1 🌟 is too good of a review

The pictures were along time in the past, we booked for 6 nights and only stayed 3, because we payed in advance we were not entertainment at the property with a refund,as this was a once in a lifetime holiday for our 40th wedding anniversary it was so disappointing, Our room was on the second floor 10 to 12 feet away from the boundary overlooking a building site doing groundwork, there were other smaller things wrong that made our stay not worth staying for the duration. The noise from early morning to cement trucks late in the evening. Twice we were told to talk to the manager, conveniently he could not be found and the second time he was in a meeting. In general this is one of the worst places i have ever stayed and would advise you not to spend your money on this hotel.

The service at this hotel was disappointing. Our room was not ready at check-in, and when we finally received it, it was still dirty. There was trash left in the cabinets, baby handprints smeared on the windows and mirrors, trash in the shower, and the bathtub was filled with standing water. After reporting these issues, housekeeping came and addressed some, but not all, of the problems. During our five-day stay, we were not provided with daily housekeeping service. When we requested clean towels, they were not available. Overall, the cleanliness and level of service did not meet expectations.

This hotel feels genuinely well run. From the moment I arrived, there was a sense of order and care that made the stay easy. The environment is quiet and secure, which allowed me to fully relax without feeling on edge or distracted. The room was spacious, spotless, and clearly cleaned with attention rather than routine. What truly set this place apart was the staff, consistently thoughtful, responsive, and proactive without being intrusive. By the end of my stay, it felt less like a temporary stop and more like a place I could settle into.

What stood out most was the location. Just a short walk to the beach, yet tucked away enough to feel private. The property feels thoughtfully maintained, and the atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming. The staff were consistently kind and helpful, offering suggestions when asked and giving space when not. It’s the kind of place that makes settling in feel natural rather than rushed.

Best place to stay in Surin Beach; warm, welcoming and friendly staff, who is always available to make your stay enjoyable.

The rooms are space and clean; and have just about everything you could need to be comfortable.

The beach, shops and restaurants are within a short walking distance. The location is also close by to most beach clubs for entertainment. Lots of options of local things to do and “tourist activities” close by.

Great for families especially.

Highly recommend this hotel if you visit.

Lousy Motel, DIRTY ROOMS

The rooms were musty and dirty, no utensils are given and very poor hotel service.
Breakfast is extremely limited, location is hard to get to and sheets are obviously not changed for a long time. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL, EVEN IF THE PRICE IS CHEAP.
TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT.

Off the beaten path.

This property is a condominium building that owners sublet to the hotel. It is pretty new and spacious and clean. The kitchen was of no use because there were no dishes, silverware, pans, no microwave, just a fridge. The area is quiet and very peaceful - a neighborhood of nice new houses. The trade off for this seclusion is that you'll need a taxi to get anywhere and they're a bit expensive, plus you can't just pop into the hotel during the day. Knowing what I know now, I'd stay near Patong. Also, the restaurant was not that great, but it was low season and the building was empty except for us. I'd recommend this hotel to families with children that want a lot of space, in a nice area with a good pool.

Quite spot at Bangtao Beach

We stayed for 1 night in a 2 bedroom Penthouse room with a pool. The hotel was pretty quiet but the staff service was great. The room was a good size with good amenities. We had 3 kids set up in the second bedroom with a double and an extra single and they had plenty of room. The main bedroom was a great size and from the top floor we could see the Sea. Our only issue was the hardness of the mattresses but it seams this may be a Thailand standard. The hotel offered regular free shuttle service to the beach but you could walk it.

Nice hotel if it was the busy season

This hotel was very nice, but I swear we were the only people there..
It was a little spooky so I guess overall condition was looking a little run down but in the busy season I think this place would be booming! Lovely location, close to the beach but not to close so you can escape. Staff were very nice and over all I'd stay here again.

Airconditioning didnt work. After having to request another room, airconditioning only worked in bedroom. It was all to hard to complain and get yet another room so we put up with it. Our stay was for three nights and we were promised daily that the airconditioning would be repaired but it didnt happen. I wouldnt reccommend this hotel to anyone.

Amazing hotel and staff

Spent 7 nights with the family for summer vacation. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Stacie and Port made our trip so rememberable. The helped us book tours and shows. The also gave us great tips on what to see and where to go.

Fabulous and friendly staff

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were fabulous and made the holiday enjoyable. Location is great if you are looking for somewhere away from the busyness of Phuket. Short walk to Surin beach which offers some great dining options and a wonderful beach. We will definitely go back.

bad location, poor customer service and aircon bad

hotel location was bad, very difficult to find. Aircon was bad at 35 degree, requested to change room but reception refuse initially and argue that have to be patient for aircon to cool down. .tired and pirspiring with my baby and 1 child...reception-a man was rude..told us to be patient and everything will be ok... Waited for an hour, but aircon still 32 degree., called the reception again and unreluctuntly finally agree to change room but the room with no toilet paper, no toiletries. Ask to reschedule massage time but told by the reception lady not allowed..angry and told to cancel but reception said there will be 50per cent charge. I argue said no massage done, so hotel not right to charge to the room. Finally, agreed to reschedule time..very BAD hotel staff attitude and service.

Great hotel for newly wed or for a family

The hotel is only 5-10 minutes walking distance from one beach; however, the hotel provide free shuttle to several other beaches.

Breakfast was great! They had a western and asian breakfast either one was delicious to my family and I.

The pool was as awesome in reality as shown on the website pix, the water was clean and at a great temperature...warm.

The service provided by the staff was excellent despite their limited english they attended us superbly.

Great hotel for a family with kids seeking peace and tranquility.

Final comment is that the restaurants on the nearest beach are all delicious I strongly recommend the indian restaurant and the Andaman seafood restaurant at night so you can eat on the terrace to see and hear the waves as the tight goes up.

We left early

I would not recommend this hotel or stay again. We left early. Staff was friendly but required some training in providing consistent service, for the price charged. For example, when ordering breakfast 4 pancakes came on 4 plates and staff usually could take only 1 order at a time. Staff appeared to be unsure of responsibilities, for example security staff where not located at the gate but within the complex. The air conditioner did not work well in one room, would never get below 26, staff went through the procedure of notifying people of our concern, but it was not fixed after 2 days. The location was within walking distance, but a little removed and further than we wanted to walk 2 times per day. The hotel was very empty in comparison to surrounding hotels, which gave an eerie feeling. Management charged an excessively high service charge for all services, ranging from phoning for a taxi 50%, to booking tours also at 50%. Management did not treat their staff very well, which was the most upsetting. Check your prices before booking.

Good apartment accommodation which suited our family of 5 within the 2 bedroom penthouse with its own pool.m Spacious and clean with good shared facilities and services. A small distance from two beaches which could be accessed by a complimentary shuttle service during the day or a short walk.
Slightly out of the way, although close enough to still be accessible.

hotel looks close to a sea on a map but in fact it is misrepresentation. Walking takes 10-15 minuets to reach the beach and the area you will walk through is not very nice and little smelly. Pool view rooms are ok but if you get the other side you will be very disappointed

Nothing Too Much Trouble

Despite a set back when we arrived.( The Three bedroom villa we booked was not available ) the general manager , Michael , was at hand to explain and quickly make amends by compensating us with 2 x 2 penthouse suites with Ocean view and no cost disadvantage.
The breakfast was adequate without being spectacluar. We enjoyed our stay and extended two nights.

Bangtao Tropical Residence

We initially booked the 3 bedroom pool villa on expedia for 3 nights, but ended up staying for an entire month. When we checked in we were awestruck by the size and luxury of the private villa. It's two stories and I'd guess around 300-400 square meters inside. All three of the bedrooms have spacious balconies, two of them overlooking the private pool. The staff, especially Michael and Rosario, was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The prices for room service were about the same as the local restaurants (around 150 baht per plate), and the wireless internet was flawless. One day the entire town's power went out and the resort somehow stayed up and running the whole time (must have a backup generator). There is literally nothing negative that could be said about this resort. We took a look at the one and two bedroom suites inside the main building of the resort and they're just as luxurious, just not as much space. We'll definitely be staying there when we come back to Phuket with less people. As far as location, the resort is in between Bangtao beach and beautiful Surin beach, only a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk from either. Patong, the nightlife and tourist capital of the island, is about 15 minutes drive. I highly recommend Bangtao Tropical Residence to anyone wanting to experience Phuket, for short or long-term stays. I refuse to stay anywhere but Bangtao Tropical Residence when I'm on the island of Phuket.

Stor leilighet med 2 soverom.
Ca. 10 minutter å gå til Surin beach og Bangtao beach sør delen.
Treningsrommets tredemøller trenger en oppgradering da da båndet henger seg litt opp når man løper. Stort treningsrom, gå innom å sett på air kondisjon før du skal trene. Er varmt der.
Veldig hyggelig personal. Som fikser ting da, foreksempel hos oss. Nå kjøleskap og fryser var ødelagt.

Hotelli itsessään rauhallinen, matkaa rannalle mutta hotellista kuljetus.
Aamiainen vaatimaton ja siivouksen taso ei isompien hotellien tasoa, näkyy paikallinen omistus.
Mutta haimme rauhaa ja aurinkoa ja sitä saimme...joinakin päivinä saimme hotellin uima-altaan täysin itsellemme! Maaliskuun loppu muutenkin hiljaista turistien osalta joten Bangtao Beach oli myös hyvin rauhallinen.

Själva rummen var väldigt stora och \"lyxiga\". AC:n levde om väldigt mycket så det var svårt att sova på nätterna. Fanns inget varmvatten under hela vistelsen (7 dagar var vi där), så det var att duscha i ljummet vatten. Poolen var i behov av renovering och klorhalten var nog inte som den skulle (sved i ögonen på oss alla om vi dök). Var en ganska bit ner till strand och till restauranger så det gäller att vilja promenera mycket eller helst hyra en vespa så man kan ta sig fram. Vill man vara igång mycket under resan så funkar hotellet okej, men inte så trevligt om man vill ligga mycket vid poolen och bada. Trevlig personal och familjär stämning på hotellet. Inte många som bodde där under tiden vi var där.

chambre spacieuse, hotel au calme a 700 m de Bangtao beach et 1km de Surin beach.
chambre tres sale, passage des femmes de ménages pour faire le lit, mais le reste de la chambre n'est même pas balayé, serviettes troués, travaux de construction la journée avec bruits de marteau piqueur a la piscine. petit déjeuner pas la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles. jus de fruits chimiques, fruits trop mur,, heureusement vous pouvez commander des oeufs... et pas possible d'avoir un petit déjeuner avant 8 h pour un départ en excursion.
La navette pour la plage n'est pas souvent a l'heure.

Ett hotell med möjligheter som inte säkert infrias

Ett hotell som har stora möjligheter. Rummet vi hade var lyxigt med egen pool på fjärde våningen, dubbla sovrum och badrum, vardagsrum och kök. Men det fanns endast vattenkokare, koppar och glas. Så laga mat gick inte.
Frukosten var ok, bättre än väntat.
Personalen i reception, särskilt de i ledande ställning kunde vara otrevliga. Att klaga på service eller annat möttes med illvilja. Kommunikation och planering mellan personalen var inte så bra och allt fungerade inte perfekt.
Vi mötte också några gäster som lämnade hotellet pga dåligt bemötande och ostädade rum etc.
Vi hade dock bra vistelse där. Dock osäkert om vi vill rekommendera hotellet om de inte förbättrar service och bemötande.

Vi hade problem med wi-fi, så vi struntade i att använda det.

Gratis skjuts till stranden fanns varje timme och hämtning fram till kl 17. Det uppskattades av alla. Vi vill rekommendera Surin beach, särskilt för barnfamiljer.

Hieno viikko Bangtao Tropical Resortissa

Perhematka 3-, 5- ja 8-vuotiaiden lasten kanssa. Majoituimme 2mh-kattohuoneistoon, jossa oma uima-allas ja keittiö. Keittiövälineet saa pyynnöstä henkilökunnalta, me kartoitimme lähialueen ravintolat ja hoidimme ruokailut siten. Hotellin oma keittiö on myös hyvä, yhden testauskerran perusteella =) pihalla valtavan iso uima-allas, jossa sai varsin rauhassa polskia, ei juurikaan asiakkaita nyt tammikuun alussa hotellissa. Aamupala varsin riittävä ja monipuolinen, kaikille jotakin. Huonesiivous toimi hienosti. Henkilökunta hyvin ystävällistä ja palvelualtista. Hotellista ilmaiskuljetus Bangaton ja Surinin rannoille lava-auton kyydissä. Kävellen kuljimme aina iltaisin jommalle kummalle rannalle ja syömään, ruoka- ja vaatekauppoja molemmissa suunnissa. Pullovesi kuului huoneen hintaan. Lentokenttäkuljetus kesti n. 40min isossa taksissa, tiet ovat mutkaisia, kuoppaisia ja paikoittain hidastetöyssyisiä.

Komfortables schönes Hotel

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit nettem Personal und einem schönen Pool. Die Suite ist groß und hat einen schönend Balkon. Die Handtücher und Bettbezüge haben manchmal Flecken und sind etwas zu sehr verbraucht, sind aber trotzdem sauber.

Hôtel qui se dit 4 étoiles mais excepté la chambre vaut un 3 étoiles, les chambres sont très très grandes et agréables.
Je pense qu il est indispensable de louer un scooter à 250 B , (le prix est le même à l'extérieure de l hôtel). Si vous êtes à pied il y a des navettes pour la plage et les restaurants.
La piscine est chaude (sauf celles des chambres avec piscine) mais l'entretien autour laisse à désirer.

Prisvärt, lugnt läghenhetshotell

Bra hotell med bra service. Tex ingick transport till dom två närmaste standerna, Bang Tao med solstolar och Surin utan solstolar.
Tyvärr som oftast i Thailand otroligt hårda sängar! Och många av dom bekvämligheter som listas på hotellet finns inte. Tex, bäddmadrass, kuddmeny, fullt utrustat pentry och lite annat sånt.
Mörka gångvägar som delas med fordon, så en ficklampa eller reflexer rekommenderas faktiskt.
Stor gemensam pool med behaglig temperatur och pool på rummet i skuggan, så ganska sval.
Frukosten var enkel men ok, under lågsäsong val från meny och under högsäsong en buffé med fler val.
Söker man lugnet är hotellets perfekt, söker man hålligång så välj ett annat hotell.
Många fina restauranger innom gångavstånd bland annat några av Phukets bästa, Palm är värt ett besök. Men även det enklare Nok seafood var mycket bra!

Hôtel et personnel accueillants

Séjour effectué pendant 12 nuits début février. Très grand confort de la double bedroom suite avec bain à bulles située au 3è étage avec vue sur piscine. Petit bémol : la cuisine n'est équipée ni de vaisselle, ni de micro-ondes. Mais les restaurants alentours sont bon marché, donc pas besoin de cuisiner.
Le restaurant de l'hôtel est très sympa mais il n'y a pas toujours tout le choix proposé dans le menu. Le personnel du restaurant ne comprend pas très bien l'Anglais. Il y a eu des quiproquos lors des commandes parfois. Mais tout se passe bien et avec le sourire.
Petit déjeuner suffisant et peu varié pour ceux qui ne mangent pas beaucoup le matin mais des yaourts auraient été appréciés.

Une merveille loin du bruit de patong

Très bon séjour dans l'ensemble. L'hôtel est très bien placé à proximité de deux très belles plages accessibles avec une navette mise à disposition des clients toutes les heures. Le personnel est vraiment adorable et très discret. Toujours souriants. Le petit déjeuner est très correct, l'essentiel y est: croissants, pancakes, céréales, pains grillés, beurre confiture, et du salé, pommes de terre, omelettes ou œufs cocotte ou au plat, saucisses, riz... Très jolie piscine.

Hotel propre, chambres très spacieuses, très confortable, propres et bien insonorisée.
Les receptionistes parlent parfaitement anglais. Il est possible en quelque minutes a pied de se rendre dans le petit village de Bang tao ou d'aller vers Surin beach. Mais idéalement louez un scooter, l'hotel en loue pour 6 euros par jour.
Prenez une chambre avec vue sur la piscine si possible.
Le breakfast n'est pas le point fort.
