I always enjoy my stay here and the staff are awesome and courteous and the sauna a plus. My only issues are that i really think the hotel needs to change its carpets as they give off a smell as they are old and worn. The amount i paid for printing was also exorbitant.

First off this is the only hotel i stay at when ever i visit Suriname, which have been quite a few times.
This is the first time i ever had any problem with the hotel.
On the day of arrival i got a call from one of the hotel staff informing me my room is not available and ask if i can stay at the Eco Torarica for one night and will transfer me back at the Torarica the next day .I agree .
Upon arrival the Eco had no information about my transfer. Spend over 20min sorting that out only to be told i have to go the Royal Torarica.
Ok arrival there only to be told they have no information also about my referral.
Long story short they finally give me a room .
My problem with all of this is me wasting all this timegoing from hotel to hotel if only they were better communication between the hotels. Mind me i had already booked and paid for my room way in advance.
And for all the inconveniences not even an apology

Rooms on either side of me was constantly noisey and there are doors adjoining each room where the other guests were constantly trying to open my door . I didn't realize the booking on Expedia didn't include breakfast. Construction is tsking place at the hotrl but it is from around 8am to 5pm.

The property's overall facilities (swimming pool, gym) are nice, however the resort had no body lotion at all. I have never stayed at a resort property anywhere in the world without a body lotion.
The resort gift shop is closed until further notice, and the front desk and administration was entirely unable to help identify a local store where I could buy lotion.
If the resort is not providing lotion, what else are they doing to cut corners/costs? Just find a different resort to travel to.
I also pre-purchased transport from the airport to the resort upon arrival and gave them my flight information - however, when I arrived, there was no shuttle. I waited at the property's desk at the airport for an hour - and still no shuttle. Ultimately, I had to take a cab on my own.

Our room was very nice. Issue with electricity going out in lobby and other areas on multiple days. Elevator out one day. Breakfast was ok but offered same food everyday, no variety. Tennis courts closed for our entire 7 day stay and we are tennis players! Hotel grounds are lovely. Location was great, near historical sites, lots of restaurant options, casinos, etc.

This is one of the most unsafe place in Suriname. I had my windscreen wiper stolen of my car which was parked in the hotel parking lot which was about 50 yards from a security. I enquire whether I could see the video cottage but the hotel refuse to show me. They claimed that the hotel policy is that they aren’t responsible for any theft of the part of my vehicle.

On requesting a particular taxi service at the front desk, the receptionist later called to say that both the requested driver and the 24hr taxi service were not available. On contacting the taxi service directly, we were able to get that respective driver. The receptionist had charged to the room an alternate taxi service which we did not use.

The stay was good, unfortunately many men at work because maintenance of the hotel. I suggest that you need to offer a single breakfast for the people that are in business or working condition. The buffet is expensive and most of the time none need to much food for breakfast.

I have stayed at Torarica many times before. The standards have dropped immensely. Firstly they took away the dedicated hotel guest parking - so now you must fight for a parking spot with the hundreds of people who are just there to use the pool or to dine for the day. Secondly, the man at the pool is a rude chain smoking Javanese man who told me “do not ask for another towel” when I asked for a new towel as the first one got soaked in the rain. Thirdly, the option for an included breakfast was removed - now they charge an outlandish $20 for breakfast (which is not worth it unless you are there on business). And lastly, I stayed at 2 different room types. The one with the terrace near the pool was dirty and there was mound all over the bathroom. The “executive suite” was much better as it was renovated about 5 years ago. Torarica, your standards must improve. I will update start with the rude pool man who is simply disgusting.

I like the location. I also like the sauna. I also like the live entertainment on the Wednesday night at the poolside. The food at the poolside was also excellent. I tried the guava baby back ribs, the bittar ballon and the shoarma.

The staff was really accommodating especially after we had delays with our travel to Torarica. They made us feel very comfortable and welcome. My family and I would surely be returning on our next vacation. I like the fact that works are ongoing to improve time spent at Torarica Hotel and Casino and just rest assured that we look forward to enjoying the improvements infrastructurally. also had an issue with to and from airport. trip form the airport to the hotel was excellent, nice bus very good driver, he even wait for our delayed flight. From Hotel to airport was catastrophic, a very small car for 5 passenger plus driver; driver asked me to sit with the luggage in the rear of this mini little van; I got mad and got out of the car. I had to pay a separate taxi that cost me $45 instead of $15 that is what the hotel charge. The transportation company that service the hotel should had paid for it. The taxi that hotel called for me, was a totally reckless driver. windshield dirty, NO windshield washer. he couldn't see and got out of the road 2 times. extremely bad moments I had.

From Hotel to airport was catastrophic, a very small car for 5 passenger plus driver; driver asked me to sit with the luggage in the rear of this mini little van; I got mad and got out of the car. I had to pay a separate taxi that cost me $45 instead of $15 that is what the hotel charge. The transportation company that service the hotel should had paid for it. The taxi that hotel called for me, was a totally reckless driver. windshield dirty, NO windshield washer. he couldn't see and got out of the road 2 times. extremely bad moments I had.
