The AC in the room was tucked away by the bathroom. So the room didn't cool that much. Couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work. I will pick a different hotel next time im in the area.

It’s old. It’s dumpy. A/C unit is from the 1980s loud and noisy. The elevator to the second floor still requires you to use 5 stairs to get to your room , difficult to navigate those stairs with luggage. It’s not close to the airport as advertised.

Stayed here for proximity to cruise port. It was fine. Rooms clean, bed comfortable. Bathroom tiny and shower pressure lousy. AC very loud and disruptive while sleeping as well as blackout curtains being too small and bright light outside our room lighting everything up. Breakfast was good with waffles yogurt toast/bread eggs but not enough seating and pretty small window they were serving. Took the shuttle ($10 PP) to cruise port and that was seamless. So would stay again if going on a cruise but not necessarily choose it for a general trip to Tampa.

Loud!!! Loud!!! Loud!!! Motorcycles racing by. Trish at front desk said she gave me the quietest room and it was the LOUDEST room next to the wheelchair elevator!! It was pretty loud the whole time. Also, needed a late checkout and the manager would only give me 30 minutes extra and the hotel wasn’t even full. Also, the bed was SUPER HARD!! My back has been hurting the whole trip.

The room is outdated. Shower had rust along the metal parts of the handles. Floor boards were broken and chipped. It felt like a shared dorm room bathroom and wanted to keep shower shoes on. The door to room didn’t lock unless you used the security lock from the inside. After spending over 12hrs out of the room for the day I dint have to use the room key I just walked into the room. I was in pure shock since my children were with me.

This property was clean and as advertised. The rooms had obviously been remodeled but one of the beds squeeked and the mattress was in poorer condition than the other. The staff was inconsiderate putting a elderly handicapped guest in one of the few rooms that didn't have an elevator nor was a ground floor. The woman cleaning the food area was rude and insisted my disabled mother get up from the bench so she could mop instead of her just waiting 5 minutes for the transfer it was obvious we were waiting for. During breakfast i'd heard/noticed her being irritated for having to do her job. This person clearly hates her work and had zero interest in guest experience.

This stay has started my One Night in Tampa blog; in other words, it was terrible. I was scared for my life... traveling solo, I had never been to Tampa so I should've researched on best places...well, safe places to stay in Tampa. As soon as I arrived, a potential drug dealer/pimp and his umm... service worker was in the lobby. Need I say more? I rushed to my room and placed a chair against my door, slept with one eye open and counted the minutes until daylight for when my cruise began. Urggh.... scary times!

They gave away our room and gave us a cheaper room without any compensation. We paid for a more expensive room! They admitted the error but did nothing to resolve the issue.

Staff was courteous and helpful. Showed my son how to use the waffle maker, got us napkins, and kept the breakfast area clean.
Room was ok. Shower was clean, towels were clean, but room smelled like smoke. Didn’t expect much more at that price and didn’t need to stay more than one night, so it was bearable. Extremely convenient for airport. Got to Tampa International in less than 10min.

The room i got had very bad smell - like it was a smokers room. The room was dirty and highly neglected. I complained and the front counter said nothing he can do because all rooms were sold. The sink drain did not work. Not that i needed but they do not provide airport transportation like it said on the booking page. Overall, this should be a 1 star hotel. Dont go by the perfect polished pictures that they put on. I would stay away from this place.

The floor of the room was absolutely disgusting. Walked around barefoot and our feet were filthy and had to be wiped prior to getting into bed. Broken curtains, stained bedding, walls with holes in them, a sink that didn't drain properly and a door that didn't comletely seal either so closing out noise wasn't an option.

Absolutely awful! Way over priced for the quality of the facility! Dirt in the sheets and stains on the pillow cases. Huge gape under door could watch people pass by throw the gap under door. Mold in room. Was just awful! Lady at check in was already rude so didn’t want to complain to her. Breakfast was just as bad.

Linda at breakfast was a hoot.(That's a good thing) She made you feel like you were in her kitchen and wanted to make sure you had everything you needed. The shuttle to the cruise port was a great service as well.

We stayed at this hotel for one night before going on a cruise from the port of Tampa. It’s certainly not a 5 star property, but I gave the rating based on experience. We were a group of 10. We got in at night and had two people celebrating birthdays. Trish at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. She was great at check in, had lots of information ready, and helped our group use the breakfast area so we could all get together for a little birthday celebration. The property and rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable, and the shuttle service to the port made this an ideal hotel for those going on a cruise.

However there are no elevators and we were not aware of that. We are in our 70's and had to lug 4 suitcases up 2 flights of stairs and then down them in the morning ! Would not recommend staying unless you specifically ask for first floor

The hotel is definitely dated, but fairly clean. The staff were very friendly. Miss Linda was great every morning at breakfast time. She made sure that everyone had a place to sit and eat. Port shuttle was convenient although it only ran once an hour. At the time of booking, the website on Expedia stated that they had an airport shuttle. Not the case, it was discontinued in August 2025.

Hotel no longer offers airport shuttle even though it was in your description. Cruise shuttle is on a 1st come 1st serve basis. Y the time we checked in times we needed were no longer available.
So defeated the purpose of staying as hotel was selected for the airport & cruise shuttle service it offered.

No night light in the bathroom. Had use the table light from the desk as a night light because the fan was so loud, and the light was so bright. Staff was courteous upon arrival and checking out early. Room was not sound proofed because you could hear the traffic from cars racing down the street.

The night staff when we checked in was very friendly. I believe his name was Darryl. They did help us by letting us leave our bags behind the desk when we wanted to venture out since we needed to grab some things before we went to our cruise. For this I will say the staff was friendly. Our only problem was I believe we found a bug in our room which looked like it could be a roach, also kinda had a weird smell when you walked in the door.

The room was ok, I didn't like the fact that there was no elevator in the building they put us in. That was not known in advance. The lady (older white lady) that checked us in was fabulous, the co-worker (middle aged black woman) was rude (sorry I didn't get their names). I asked if we could be moved to a room with the elevator in the building and was told no due to the type of reservation we had. Then I requested a ground floor and that's when the black lady chimed in very rudely saying \"no, you got the room you requested, there are no changes!\"

I used to work in the hotel business and there's always ways to make your guest satisfied, that was not it. I wasn't rude to her nor did I raise my voice. I simply said non of this was known. Definitely will not recommend this location to friends or family.
