We arrived late afternoon & ordered dinner from the restaurant. The staff mixed up the menu order & gave my travel partner (with severe food intolerances & disabilities) my spicy dish. The dishes looked similar, so we only realised this after my travel partner had already eaten a portion of my spicier dish. This then resulted in my travel partner becoming severely ill & missing a full 3-days of a prepaid (€450) 4-day business confernce event at the hotel, all due to this staff incompetence. Also, when we drew this to the attention of the staff at the time, there wasn't even an apology & they were put out, that we were merely asking for their mistake of suppling the wrong menu orders to us, to be rectified. At the time, I actually ate the wrong order brought out to me. But in retrospect I should have also insisted my wrong dish was likewise changed. However, unfortunately all the damage was already done. Their negligence resulted in my travel partner (& my carer) with severe food intolerances & disabilities, then being severely ill & confined to their room, trying to recover from the staff mistake for 3-days. In addition to being out the hotel costs, my travel partner also lost €450 ref the prepaid conference expenses for an event they were unable to attend. In summary, the staff negligence & inattention resulted in a complete disaster of a stay for us both. If you have any food intolerances, allergies or disabilities beware, I wouldn't recommend this Scandic Rosendahl Hotel!

I was kinda surprised that the hotel was kinda isolated, I thought it would be more accessible to the city center. There was one public bus that stopped outside the hotel. And walking down there the first time was kind of an adventure.

The hotel stay was overall very good.
But a few things need improvement :
1) Parking space for each car was too small that everyone had trouble finding a spot without a car parked beside. Otherwise we couldn't get out of the car!
2) The opening hours were only written downstairs on ground floor. So we wasted the kids' drink service for we couldn't find the bar opening hours in the room.
3) The room and bathroom was outdated and wasn't clean.
But we enjoyed the stay overall, the location was perfect!

Located in a beautiful area. Very spacious room with a spacious bathroom as well. Lots of free parking space, although it was all taken by the time I arrived (late), but there was a spacious garage option that wasn't too expensive either. A lot of options to choose from at breakfast.

Very beautiful location by the lake. Nice views. Not crowded. Relaxed atmosphere. Check in was fast and fluent. Free parking, gym, swimming pool & saunas. Child-friendly. That being said, the hotel is a bit dated: elevator was stuck for like 10-15 seconds once, keycards wouldn't open the door from time to time. Bottom line: despite some small flaws we liked it.

everything was ok, but nothing was great

My resent stay with scandic Rosendahl in mind, i felt that wierd Feeling, where everything is ok, but nothing is great!
The room was big, the bathroom had a tub, but somehow lacked atmosphere.
Dining at the hotel was a low point though. The hotel was understraffed and although was kinds Got the food in god time a lot of the other guests did’nt which created an ackward mood. The seating area felt temporary and again lacked atmosphere.
Scandic is OK, but for longer Stays i would see what Else is availiable.

Basic rooms for a decent price. Pictures on website looked better than reality! Bad bits was we’d booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Sofa bed wasn’t made up when we checked in. I mentioned to reception on the way out and she said another team were on their way round to do the beds. Fair enough I thought. We went out. Came back fairly late with two tired kids (6 and 4). Sofa bed still wasn’t made up. Went to reception who said the housekeepers have now gone home, and no one was available to do it. Gave us some sheets and that and were told to make it ourselves. Gave us a carton of kids juice to say sorry.

Breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly. Location was lovely.

The room was nice and clean, but the area is very secluded. There is nothing around - i was without car, and the nearest supermarket is 2,5 km away. There is basically only the forest nearby. The hotel has a restaurant, but it is not cozy, and the food not tasty and overpriced.

Great family destination hotel

This was an excellent choice for families with kids. Kids had their own reception area, playroom and the grounds around the hotel are breathtakingly beautiful! There is something for everyone. We had lots of fun and if we go to Tampere again, this is where we will stay.

good, but needs refurbishment.

Its ok, but really needs a refurbishment. the surrounding area is very nice, being slightly out of town the hotel is situated within a wooded area alongside a lake. Its functional, but to todays standards and also to newer scandic hotels, this one is in need of some attention. Staff all pleasant and accommodating.

Staff is always very friendly. The rooms are clean and functional but fairly basic - Scandic standard fare. Dinner at the restaurant is ok and if you happen to have a member card, also excellent value. The kids' playroom is fairly sparse but our kids love it anyway. Saunas and gym are ok, the pool could be a bit warmer for us adults but works perfectly for the kids.

The Hotel is fine, but isolated in the forest. You will need a car or other form of transport to get around. As far as I know there are no buses from the hotel into town, making you reliant on taxis.

The location of the hotel, in the large park with walking trails throughout, is perfect for those who enjoy the outdoors and the natural environment. It was easy to walk from the train station to the hotel, a fairly good hike and invigorating. Hotel amenities are very good and staff are friendly and helpful.

Comfortable stay at the hotel located outside the city centre in wooded parkland. Stayed in a family room, 2 adults and 2 small (1&3) children. Room was spotless, spacious with partial views over the water. In some areas the hotel is dated and could do with upgrading, the carpets are old (dining areas) in some communal areas.
Staff very helpful.
Breakfast had a wide selection of food available.
free parking on site for those with cars.
Drinks at the bar very expensive.

Other facilities on site such as swimming pool but didn't get a chance to use it.

The Scandic Rosendahl Hotel is beautifully located near the lake surrounded by forest. The service was fantastic, beds comfortable and the buffet breakfast expansive and tasty. I would recommend this hotel to all interested in a comfortable, leisurely stay near Tampere.

Stopped here on the way to Helsinki from further north. Comfortable, relatively new hotel with its own conference center in a park on a lake outside of Tampere. Rooms and bathrooms are fine. Large lobby. Good onsite restaurant. Generous breakfast buffet. Free outdoor parking lot is a little limited, but there is also a garage (extra charge). Good choice if no need to get to center of Tampere.

Viel hôtel non rénové, énorme bâtiment tout en longueur, ambiance austère, personnel désagréable, peu avenant, 25 minutes d’attente pour le check-in (discussion en buvant des bières avec des clients pendant que de nombreux clients attendaient à la queue, aucun excuse pour l’attente, une seule personne un samedi midi pour gérer le check-in avec 2 énormes événements dans la ville !)
Bruits extérieurs et intérieurs on entend les discussions et plus par les conduits de climatisation …
Douche délimitée par une paroi directement sur le sol de la SdE

Bar - restauration : impossible de boire un café ou de se restaurer en dehors des horaires d’ouverture du restaurant

Seul bon point, l’environnement verdoyant en forêt à proximité d’un lac, et parking facile

Olemme yöpyneet Tampereella aina Rosendahlissa, mutta tämän yöpymisen jälkeen katsomme muita hotelleja. Aamiainen on ollut superhyvä ennen, mutta nyt on jotain muuttunut huonompaan suuntaan. Huone on hyvä. Ilmainen parkkipaikka ilahduttaa, joskin parkkiruudut ovat nykyautoille pieniä. Vaimoni tuohtui iltasaunan tapahtumista. Naisten saunaan mahtuu noin kuusi aikuista ja suihkuja on vain kolme. Saunomassa oli ollut noin 12- 15 naista samaan aikaan. Saunassa ei ollut löylyjä. Pukuhuoneessa oli ollut puhelin, muttei respan numeroa. Miesten saunassa sain saunoa yksin. Tilaa olisi ollut ainakin tusinalle, suihkuja oli kuusi. Vaimoni kuuli myöhemmin, että hotellissa on varasaunoja, joita olisi voinut tilanteessa lämmittää. Uima- allas on kiva, joskin vesi viileää ja lapset hyppivät altaaseen vaikka se on kiellettyä. Tasa-arvoinen kohtelu ei toteudu Rosendahlissa ja Scandic veloittaa jatkossa aamiaisesta erikseen. Näistä syistä johtuen emme enään majoitu Rosendahlissa.

Däremot kallt på rummet och temperaturgivaren ur fuktion. Det skulle gå att reglera 3 grader + eller - men det hände ingenting. Även fläkten reagerade inte på reglaget.

Hotelli ja henkilökunta olivat hyvät. Huoneen siisteydessä on parannettavaa. Varsinkin vessan siisteydessä. Kylpyammeen alta tuli vaikka ja mitä. Muuten huone oli ihan hyvä. Uima-altaassa vesi oli todella kylmää joten sielä ei viihtynyt kovin kauaa. Hotellin sijainti on todella ihana! Aivan ihania ulkoilu reittejä, maisemia ja maisemapaikkoja. Tykkäsimme kovasti paikasta ja varsinkin lämpimällä säällä suosittelen kovasti!

Very lovely setting in the outskirts of Tampere, and a very nice hotel. Had a lovely view from my room towards a lake and a lush, green area. Very scenic!

The pool area is quite decent, and the restaurant was pretty good aswell - we had a wonderful waitress, who took such good care of our entire group (tip her well!)

Lovely hotel nearby lake and forest

We had a lovely stay at the Rosendahl, room was spacious - with a lakeview (and a tub!).

We used the hotel bikes to visit the city, and the route was super nice!

Reception staff didnt give any information without specifically asking (breakfast time, check out time, pool / sauna hours, parking).. which was the only nuisance we had. Sauna was cold in the morning, which was a disappointment.

Hotel was tidy and breakfast delicious.

Would accommodation here again!

Ensimmäinen kerta ikinä kun respa ei toivota tervetulleeksi. Ei myöskään kertonut aamiaisesta tai aamu-uinnin aikataulusta. ”Nimi tuohon ja tuohon. Allekirjoitus” Lämäsi avainkortin tiskiin. Ei kertonut mikä kerros, missä hissit tai että huoneeni kaukana kuin ruotsinlaivalla.
Toinen henkilö myöhemmin palveli aivan loistavasti. Myös yörespan kärsivällisyydestä pitää antaa täydet pinnat. Oli kyllä kiva kun ennakkotiedosta poiketen baari olikin auki kun tulin keskustasta hotellille.

Huoneen sai käyttöön melko myöhään, tavarat olivat koko päivän lukitsemattomassa varastossa. Kokoushuoneessa oli liian vähän juomalaseja, saimme lisää pyytämällä. Seurueessamme oli allergikkoja, merkinnät seisovassa pöydässä olivat puutteelliset, mutta onneksi henkilökunta auttoi ja kertoi merkintöjen puutteet. Aamiaispöytä oli mahtava, vain espresso puuttui! Kokonaisuus oli ok, henkilökunta avuliasta ja ystävällistä.

Huone tilava ja viihtyisä mutta kylmä. Lämpötilaa ei saanut nostettua. Suihkutilassa ja vessassa ei ollut lämmitystä ollenkaan. Lattiat ja pyyhkeiden kuivaustelinekin oli kylmät. Varaa villasukat mukaan ja muutenkin lämmintä vaatetta jos aiot yöpyä täällä. Sänky verrattavissa trampoliiniin. Petivaatteet tuntuvat aluksi kylmältä ja kun pääset uneen niin heräät hikisenä kun peitto ei hengitä ollenkaan. Positiivista ilmainen pysäköinti, ystävällinen palvelu ja hyvä aamupala. Aamupalalla ruokailutila oli iso, pöytiä riittävästi ja pöydät väljästi aseteltu.

Hyvä ja tasokas hotelli upeissa harjumaisemissa.

Tyylikäs ja persoonallinen hotelli, 70-luvun arkkitehtuuria parhaimmillaan. Hotelli on upealla paikalla, vaikka kävellen matkaa keskustan rientoihin pari kilometriä.
Siistit huoneet, plussaa etenkin tilavasta kylpyhuoneesta.
Hyvä aamiainen, joskin viikonloppuna oli aika hektistä eikä tarjonta ollut ehkä ihan parhaimmillaan.
Ystävällinen ja ammattimainen palvelu vastaanottotiskillä.
Valitsisin ehdottomasti tulla tänne toistekin.

Ihana perhe- tai pariskunta hotelli

Siistit tilat. Hlökunta poikkeuksellisen iloista ja ystävällistä. Perhehuone loistava,junnulle oma puoli huoneesta.ruoka oli myös hyvää.

Kiva paikka viehättävässä ympäristössä.

Kaksi yötä elokuun alussa. Rannan ja Pyynikin rinteiden läheisyys iso +! Samoin ilmaiset polkupyörät!
Ystävällinen palvelu, hiukan kulunut huone, mutta runsaat kaappitilaa ilahduttivat.
Ainoa miinus ruokaravintolan myöhäinen avautuminen, joten lounaalle täytyi lähteä keskustaan parin km:n päähän.

Hotelli loistavalla paikalla omassa luonnonrauhassa mutta keskustan läheisyydessä. Järvenranta maisemat ja pyynikinharju vieressä. Hotelli oli siisti, huoneet hiljaiset, erittäin hyvä nukkua. Aamiainen erittäin runsas ja maittava.
Illalla ravintolassa hieman vähän henkilökuntaa eikä saatu niin hyvää palvelua kuin olisimme odottaneet.

Perhematkalle oikein kiva hotelli. Allas + lastenallas mukava lisä perhelomalle. Aamiaissali iso ja tilava, aamiainen keskitasoa. Jääkahvi oli erinomainen ja kiva lisä aamupalalla!

Huone oli kohtuullisen pieni, pienin missä Rosendahlissa ollessani olen asunut. Lähinnä Silja Linen hytti. Suihkutila onneton ja lasku toimi jotenkuten toiseen viemäriin, mutta jäi pääosin lattialle. Onneksi oli tehokas lasta. Aamiainen riittävä ja monipuolinen. Illalllinen ok, mutta kohtuu kallis .

Perus siisti hotelli. Aamupala perus kokonaisuus - kaikenlaista tarjolla ja jokainen löytää varmasti omaan tarpeeseensa. Hotelli itsessään jo vanha, mutta pidetty hyvässä kunnossa. Uima-altaan vesi oli kylmää.

Parantamisen varaa

Huone siisti, mutta kylmä eikä lämpötila noussut vaikka toimi ohjeiden mukaan. Aamiaisella useat tuotteet loppu tai vähissä. Lämpimät ruuat haaleita tai jopa kylmiä.
