The location would be very good but there are MAJOR roadworks happening which is why the price was probably lower than usual. Not the hotels fault of course but it did have an impact. The biggest disappointment was walking into the bathroom and finding pieces of toilet roll attached to the toilet brush. It was the first thing I noticed so that was quite bad. Also the heating system in the room made a ticking noise on and off. The room itself is bright and nicely decorated and a great size. Breakfast is excellent as always and I can’t fault the staff as they are super friendly and kind.

To get to the hotel one has to walk thru a tunnel when arriving by train, at dark not the nicest thing to do.
However the hotel is excellent, very nice. clean and modern facility, great breakfast, nice rooms.
If walking thru the tunnel, at the end of it go right away up to the street level above, do not walk along the street car track divider to the next crossing of the street. You can also by pass the tunnel by going thru the station corridor and up to the street above..

Very happy hotel

I've stayed here a few times. It is very convenient to the train station, and remarkably quiet.

Staff was pleasant and professional.

The rooms have fun, interesting designs, and are very well done.

This trip, housekeeping seemed a bit off their game. One of the bed skirts was dirty, and the floor was a little dusty.

Overall, though, a pleasant place. I hope to stay here again.

Overall, its ok. The staff is friendly and attentive. The place looks nice and quite comfortable. BUT if you need a dark room in order to sleep well in summer, this is not your hotel. The curtains are far from being blackout! So its bright all the time.
Also, neither of their bathroom have a proper chanhing table for kids which surprised me a lot as it supposed to be a family friendly hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 13 days and will be going back again. The staff was kind. Everyone spoke English which was very helpful. The hotel is clean and conveniently located if you just want to walk to the Moomin Museum or Stockmann. We will be back!

Convenient but not clean

The hotel was fully booked and I had to wait an extra hour for my room. The receptionist said that my room would be given priority, but once I got in the cleanliness was questionable. There were breadcrumbs on a chair, the sink was dirty with don’t even know what... Mentioned this when I checked out and received a small reimbursement with gratitude. Understaffing seems to be a constant problem in hotels and if no substitute can be found in urgent conditions, perhaps the staffing manager should take part in cleaning.

Broken TV and no coffee

Great location near city center.
Surprisingly there was no water heater, coffee, or tea in the room. TV remote control was broken and the TV needed to be restarted frequently, as it stopped responding. The front desk's reply was that the remotes often fail to work when the TV is turned on manually. Not a satisfying answer since the TV did this several times while watching. They also didn't offer to replace the remote when we told them it had a missing battery cover, which meant the batteries kept falling off.

Lovely hotel, clean and modern, nice location for easy walk into downtown Tampere. Jag bodde 2 nätter på Scandic Tampere Station. Hotellet ligger centralt nära tågstationen.
Rummet var större än jag hade hade förväntat mig. Det fanns två separata sängar vilket var onödigt för en ensamresenär, jag vet inte om det finns enkelrum.
Jag kunde reglera sängen, höja till sittande ställning när jag tittade på tv.
Frukosten var bra, den är tydligen likadan i alla Scandic hotell. Jag kan tänka mig att bo igen på Scandic Tampere Station.

Kiva hotelli ja erittäin hyvä asiakaspalvelu. Ainut miinus siitä, mikä tosin ei ole hotellin syy, että hotelliin kantautuu henkilöratapihan remontista johtuvat äänet. Kassalta saatiin korvatulpat varalta, yötä sekä aamua vasten ei sitten edes tarvittu niitä.

Saatiin toki viereiset huoneet mutta seuraavana päivänä joku pariskunta ihmetteli kun heillä oli ovi toiseen huoneeseen jota ei tarvinnut .olivat tilanneet matkansa paljon meidän jälkeen..jäimme sitä vähän miettimään ..miksi se huone ei ollut meillä kun toivoimme ?

Hyvin sujunut viikonloppu

Hotellin sijainti ja kunto oli hyvä. Kaikki muu on plussaa, mutta miinusta aiheuttaa mm. telkkarilla ei voinut katsoa puhelimen kautta videoita, huoneessani kuului melko kovaa ääntä kun kerroksessa imuroitiin ja jääkaappiin mahtui juuri ja juuri yksi kolmioleipä kun siellä oli paljon hotellin sinne laittamia tuotteita. Muuten kaikki sujui hyvin.

Hyvä sijainti tapahtumapaikkoihin nähden

Perushotelli keskeisellä sijainnilla tapahtumapaikkoihin nähden mm. Nokia Areena, Tavara-asema, Tampere-talo. Ratikkapysäkki hotellin edessä, jolla pääsee kätevästi kulkemaan. Siisti hotelli, vaikkakin vähän vanhanaikainen sisustukseltaan - meille se ei kuitenkaan ole tärkeä kriteeri.

\"Perus hyvä\" hotelli, ei liian kallis. Aamupala oli ok (löytyi kaikille jotain ja allergiat huomioitu). Sijainti oli hyvä, pääsi hyvin liikkumaan kävellen jokaiseen suuntaan ja juna-aseman vieressä oli ruokakauppa joka oli pitkään auki.

Ensimmäinen ja viimeinen kerta.

Ensin hyvät asiat, sijainti on hyvä ja aamiainen erinomainen; myös henkilökunta on ystävällistä. Mutta sitten on vähän huonompiakin asioita. Otimme perushintaisen huoneen leveällä parivuoteella koska kuvittelimme sen olevan 4 tähden hotellissa vähintään samaa tasoa kuin usein aiemmin kokemissamme 3 tähden hotelleissa. Huone oli pieni, siinä ei ollut minkäänlaista naulakkoa eteisessä, ei edes koukkuja. Märät ulkovaatteet pitää siis tuoda pikkuiseen komeroon sängyn vieressä. Huoneessa ei tietenkään ollut myöskään minkäänlaista nojatuolia, sen ilmeisesti korvasi pehmustettu pyörillä oleva rahi - siitäkin sattui puuttumaan yksi pyörä joten siinä ei sitten istuttu kenkiä jalkaan laittaessa. Kahden yön yöpymisemme ensimmäisen yön jälkeen ei tultu siivoamaan, emme odottaneetkaan uusia pyyhkeitä mutta käsittääkseni tapana on ollut tsekata wc:n siisteys, tyhjentää roskikset ja sijata vuode? Televisio oli suuri mutta siinä ei ollut mitään kansainvälisiä kanavia, yleensähän \"huonommissakin\" hotelleissa on Tv5 France, Cnbc yms. peruskanavat. Täällä oli 3 pohjoismaista kanavaa Suomen peruskanavien lisäksi. Emme kerta kaikkiaan ymmärrä mihin 4 tähden luokitus perustuu? Tampereella on loistavalla sijainnilla useita hotelleja joten kokemuksemme perusteella kannattaa valita joku muu hotelli.

The design was modern, with furniture and interiors that you wouldn’t find in Japan. The facilities were excellent, and the breakfast buffet was a highlight. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the Moomin Museum!
