I originally was skeptical booking this hotel, as I already knew it was a self check-in with no reception nor other amenities, but I came to drink with friends in the city so it wasn't a huge concern. Upon arriving I immediately ran into the first problem, which was that the room wasn't cleaned, and was clearly used by a couple people to several cans and bottles of alcohol, which were littered around the hotel room. On the door is a phone number for custom service, but you need to have a Finish phone number to call it; so if I didn't have a Finish friend with me I would have been f*cked being a foreigner. Eventually I got through to customer service, who got me another room ... right next to the floor entrance, so I could hear everyone arriving and leaving. The room itself is alright, and the shower is reasonable. The bathroom has only soap bottle that is for hands, hair and body. No place to keep luggage if you need to checkout but stay in town. Coming back to the hotel room I had a drunken finish women ask whether she could stay the night, which was curious as she's gone through at least 3 doors which require the code to get in, implying it's not as secure a building as you'd like to think. Suffice to say I didn't get much sleep. Unless you plan on doing an allnight drinking session I cannot I'm good fair recommend this place.

Erehdyin varaamaan yhden yön kun umk viikonloppu vaikutti olevan muualla kovin täyttä tai hinnat kaksinkertaiset. Mutta virhe, Erittäin likainen koko huone, esimerkiksi lattiaa tai vessaa ei olla pesty kaiketi vuosiin. Ulko-ovesta sissäntullessa jo rappukäytävässä haisi hirvittävälle. Sänky kova nukkua. Hyvää oli tyynyt.Eipä muuta. Mutta halpa on aina halpa. Forenom on myös halpa mutta siisteystaso kyllä täysin eri luokkaa.

Heinäkuun helteillä perheen kanssa yksi yö perhehuoneessa. Huone oli siisti. Lapsille avattavat sängyt jotka aiheuttivat ihastusta koska molemmille oli omat. Huoneessa ei ilmastointia joten helteiden vuoksi aika kuuma. Myöskin ”äänieristys” oli varsin huomaamaton. Käytävän äänet kuuluivat kuin ovi olisi ollut auki ja jonkun läheisen baarin bändin keikan saattoi aika hyvin kuunnella omasta sängystä. Meillä ei lapset siitä kuitenkaan hätkähtäneet ja nukkuivat hyvin. Aivan hyvä kun tarkoituksena oli yö nukkua eikä aikaa viettää.

Käytän Omenahotellia usein matkustaessani yksin sen edullisuuden ja kätevyyden vuoksi: siisäänkirjautuminen on helppoa, kulku toimii näppärästi koodilla, jolloin erillisiä avaimia ei tarvitse säilyttää, huoneissa on yleensä siistit \"hyttimäiset\" wc-kylpytilat sekä hyvä sänky mukavine petivaatteineen. Lisäksi huoneissa on jääkaappi omille tavaroille sekä vedenkeitin, teepusseja ja pikakahvia. Tämä riittää minulle mainiosti, sillä yksin matkustaessani en juuri vietä aikaa huoneessa muutoin kuin peseydyn, nukun ja hörppään teet ja syön jotain mukaan nappaamaani pientä ja illalla lueskelen tai toljotan tv:tä (tai kännykästä striimipalvelusta jotain) ennen nukahtamista.
Tälläkin kertaa kokemus oli hyvä, etenkin, koska vuode tarjosi hyvät unet, hotelli oli hiljainen ja pimennysverhotkin täyttivät tehtävänsä.
Ainoa miinuspuoli, joka tuntuu olevan poikkeuksetta vinksallaan Omenahotelleissa on, että Chromecast ei toimi. Olen käyttänyt sitä onnistuneesti muissa hotelleissa vieraillessani, mutta Omenahotelleissa se useimmiten on toimimaton. Muualla riittää, että valitsen kännykälleni hotellin wifin ja menen huoneen televisiovastaanotosta Chromecast-palveluun, mutta Omenahotelleissa tämä ei ole toiminut useinkaan, ei tälläkään kertaa.
