Luckily I have terrace access. The room was too hot at first and AC temp control was so slow to kick on. By the time we got it going, while we were sleeping, the temp was switched to heater and hot. My husband had to call the front desk and they said they controlled the temperature :((.
A+ for location was so close to the Blue Moss and Haghia Sophia. Food around the area was pricey

Felt like the advertising is misleading since only the penthouse rooms have views of the city.
My room was looking into the back of an old building.
Fortunately I was only there one night.

The property is in prime location, close to everything important in sultanahmet area, close to the water (10 minutes walk or less), close to Galata bridge.
Staff are wonderful and a view you can never get enough of! I highly recommend this property if you are in Istanbul to explore this rich and beautiful city!

The room was spacious and clean, and the hotel is in a convenient area. But the customer service in the hotel was not great. The receptionists don’t talk or welcome you much, the main entrance of the hotel was locked once because the receptionist had gone somewhere. Also the AC in the room can only be turned on if you call the reception and ask them to turn it on in your room. Breakfast options was were very limited.

The staff at Biz Cevahir hotel was exceptional! They were very helpful and took care of any request we had. The rooms are very clean and having breakfast included was perfect!
The hotel location is in the middle of Old City at a walkable distance from major monuments, dining options and tram station. I highly recommend staying at this hotel anytime you're visiting Istanbul.

Fabulous location. Helpful and pleasant staff, Mustafa at reception was helpful. Jaafar is friendly and helpful. The staff is friendly and we got to sightsee and also managed to take breaks in the middle of the day, thanks to the excellent hotel location close to the tram and the attractions. Loads of food options nearby. I recommend the hotel. The rooms have good insulation to noise, call to prayer can be heard but not too loud. I would book here again.

most of the staff was friendly, one was rude for some reason, should of gotten his name, manager was very helpful and warm, walkable to everything, however my room was very very tight, had trouble opening my suitcases or praying with a mat on the floor, i was by myself, if i had my family with me, we would of been in trouble

A 2 x day trip in Istanbul, this hotel had a great location to one of the main squares.

Reception staff very helpful for Information
Very clean hotel and the shower was great

The bed wasn’t very comfy and quite small. It was a single to be fair.

Breakfast was okay, but not amazing.

Would definitely stay here again. Value for money, good staff and location being the main reasons.

Please be aware of the restaurants and bars around the area. Definitely out to charge an inflated price if they can get away with it, which is a shame.

We had an incredible time at the Biz Cevahir Hotel in Sultanahmet. This is a great, safe location to discover the historic city and close to hundreds of dining options.
The staff were all extremely friendly, bilingual (at a minimum) and the breakfast was fantastic.
I would highly recommend and would go back without hesitation.

I stayed here with my kids for a night as we were transiting to Canada. The front desk staff Mustafa was amazing and very welcoming. He made sure our taxi was booked for the airport the next day, gave us directions to where we wanted to go and suggested a few lovely places to dine at. The property itself is very clean and well maintained, located in a beautiful picturous area with lots of restaurant options and easily walkable to most of the tourist areas. I genuinely wish we had more time to stay there for longer but I'm sure we'd come back very soon. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

This hotel was perfectly situated for what we wanted to do in Istanbul. Close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern. Easy walk to Grand Bazaar. The Concierge/Reception was brilliant. We asked about Bosphorus cruises and he advised us well giving us several brochures and not pushing a particular one on us. The room was great - with a great view from the terrace - to the Bosphorus. Local restaurants were an easy walk and offered good selections of well prepared food.

They overcharged me once my stay was over. I had paid for the hotel through Expedia, and according to the hotel’s ad on expedia, the hotel was supposed to include drinking water in that payment. But at the end of my stay they claimed that the drinking water should be paid for, and they were not particularly polite about it. I took it as dishonesty.
Besides, the front desk clerk wasted more than 30 minutes of my time. On top of all, they would insist on discussing political issues and news with me, which is very weird!

We found the place incredibly convenient. Literally steps away from the most important parts of Istanbul. The receptionist and the bell boy were super helpful always. The room was clean and with a feel of luxury, very illuminated and with a small desk and tea service. We absolutely loved it. We read some reviews about being scammed by the taxi recommendations so we booked our own taxi and avoided this problem so we can´t say much about that. We highly recommend the hotel, by far much better than the average you can get for the same price.

I enjoyed my stay here. The location was perfect for blue mosque, Sofia Hagia, Grabd Bazaar etc with lots of lovely roof top eateries nearby. In particular however what stood out for this property was the daytime service staff at reception - Jafer. He went above and beyond to ensure I had a lovely time, to recommend suitable tours and to be honest about places to visit and the most efficient and affordable way to do so. Management block air-conditioning. Complained and nothing done. Its a must for this climate and ruins sleep which spoils the stay. Enough alternative hotels to not have to put up with this type of service.

My recent stay at this hotel was a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. The room was the highlight, spacious with a large terrace, but the peacefulness was overshadowed by several drawbacks.

Firstly, the laundry service was outrageously expensive - $50 for a bag of clothes and $7 per underwear. This felt like price gouging, especially with an inexpensive laundromat nearby. The room cleanliness was mediocre, falling short of expectations.

The breakfast was a letdown with stale offerings like mystery juice and a two-day-old cheese plate, though the coffee was decent. The front desk staff mistakenly accused me in front of my companion of having a declined payment, suggesting we had to vacate the room. This error, later rectified as a mix-up with another guest, was both awkward and unprofessional.

The shuttle service to the airport was unreliable, arriving an hour late. This could be a significant inconvenience for those with tight travel schedules. Do not let them make you pay more than 35 euro for the shuttle, otherwise just install the local taxi app BiTaxi.

Overall, while my stay was enhanced by personal reasons, the hotel itself didn't offer great value for the price. It felt comparable to a LaQuinta in Istanbul. I wouldn't strongly recommend this place, but it's not the worst option available. If you're considering staying here, be prepared for a few disappointments and weigh your options carefully.

Excellent hotel within walking distance of sites, close to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was great and included. Wonderful staff, Jafer at the front desk was so helpful.

Expensive food near the hotel and 10min walk to Mcdonalds and sultan ahmet area where there are more restraunts but expensive. Good service from the hotel staff especially Mr Jafer who exceeded our expectations and asissted greatly through out our stay with booking airport taxi and advise on tours and getting around the city. Word of caution that many taxis refuse to pick you up from this area. Hotel is in a quiet side street.

Over years I stayed in multiple hotels in Sultanahmet and frankly don't see how this one is better than many others, why are ratings are so high.

Positives:
- great Turkish service. Had a problem with the room, got changed quickly
- location
- elevator
- clean, fresh

Negatives:
- rock hard beds
- very fat pillows. Asked for something for humans and a couple of normal pillows were provided (see Turkish service in Positives)
- a/c did not work (switched off as it is October), making us sleep with windows open. Old town is noisy late.
- one of the glasses in the room had a broken edge, this is plain dangerous
- breakfast is barely ok, I had much better in Old Town hotels
- no power outlet for a phone charger next to a bed, had to disconnect the room phone
- no gym. Yes, I know, this is a smaller hotel in Sultanahmet, but it shows 4*. A 4* without even a small gym?

So overall a pretty decent place to stay as long as you can live with really hard beds, but exceptional? I don't think so.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Biz Cevahir wih my wife and young son. The hotel is situated perfectly on a quiet street but literally only a 2 minute walk to the Hagia Sofia Mosque/ Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace. The hotel is great...clean, easily accessible with a great breakfast selection. The staff were all friendly and very helpful..I have to make special mention of the day reception manager Jafer..he was so polite, professional and always ready to help...a true gentleman who facilitated our stay. I would heartily recommend this Hotel and i'm already planning another stay!!

We stayed for a total of 10days and I must say it was lovely. Jaafar at the front desk was very helpful and did all he could to make sure we were happy. Hamza at breakfast was also friendly and always greeted us with a smile. The room we booked was spacious with a great balcony. Partial sea view and the blue mosque. Walking distance to blue mosque and tram. All in all it was a great stay. Thank you

Excellent location with main attractions and tram within walking distance. Rooms were a good size with amenities provided (slippers, robes, shower gel, shampoo etc), and staff were friendly.

Soap was provided rather than handwash. If you require handwash, I recommend buying at the airport after passing security, as the nearby shop charge extortionate price.

WiFi in the rooms were terrible, including mobile data (I recommend purchasing Vodafone sim rather than Turk cell sim, as Turk cell data was terrible in the hotel as well). There was decent WiFi in the hotel lobby/reception area.

Despite being a non-smoking property, there was a lingering cigarette smell from time to time.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

We were looking for a hotel within walking distance from all the attractions in Sultanahmet like the Hagya Sofiya, The Blue Mosque and the adjoining attractions. It’s very conveniently located and is very close to the tram line as well which can take you to the Grand Bazaar and further.

Staff are very helpful, and try to assist you in any way possible. Rooms were tidy and bathroom was nice and well stocked. Breakfast was included in our package so that was also a plus point. WiFi internet was also good in the room and the public areas.

We had a great stay at Biz Cevahir and would suggest it to all.
