Magnaura has excellent location. However, it is not as grand as it looks in the photos. It has a small lobby and front. The front desk staff were helpful and pleasant. However, the owner who works at the breakfast restaurant was very unfriendly every morning.He didn’t greet or acknowledge us when we said good morning. We asked what the food were as the food had no labels. He seemed annoyed and didn’t appreciate our business. I would not recommend this place as we didn’t feel welcome. We stayed for 4 nights and we couldn’t wait to leave so we didn’t have to see him again. When we go on vacation, we always look forward to our hotel breakfast. He ruined the experience for us.

Magnaura hotel has the best Hosts. They speak English. Item is a tour guide. There service including hospitality is excellent. Nursi is a real gem. Item also and of course Ali. The breakfast buffet had more food then you could possibly eat. Dinner on the Terrace also very good. Location is unbeatable and bus to airport not even a block away. Metro also. Rd to this property is located between Sophia Hagia and the Blue Mosque. Excellent price to stay. Cant say enough. This should be your choice. You will not be disappointed. Only setback is one elevator and steps. If you can't walk...suggest a new place and Istanbul should not be a place to visit.

This was the perfect place to stay - close to the mosques, parks, shopping. The hotel staff was super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was a tremendous smorgasbord of typical Turkish food. The hotel arranged pick up from the cruise port, a private tour of Istanbul and transportation to the airport - all at reason a reasonable cost. We hope to go back to Istanbul and stay at this lovely hotel.

We were very satisfied with our stay. Hotel is very close to major attractions. Very clean, good breakfast. And the restaurant has a nice view! Staff were very friendly and ready to help. Specifically thanks for letting us checked in earlier, we were very tired after a long trip. We had a very early flight home, the driver they provided was waiting for us when we checked out. They even brought breakfast to our room at 4:45am.

The Magnaura Palace Hotel
This hotel was perfect for my friend and I. The entire staff was professional, warm and friendly and especially helpful. Their recommendations for tours and places to see was great advice! Although a very busy and tourist-packed area, the location is perfect for first-time visitors like us, who wanted to see the ancient places. We hired a private guide through the hotel who was very knowledgeable and informative. The hotel also arranged rides for us, made reservations and educated us on public transportation, which is by very good in Istanbul, and very inexpensive. The inclusive breakfast is wonderful, and the rooftop restaurant was very good with many menu choices, great service, and beautiful view of the Golden Horn and Bosphorus.

Checking into this hotel is like joining a family. They have gone the extra mile each and every day! Besides having a beautiful view of the sea we are treated to a massive breakfast array of foods! The restaurant has an unbelievable view of the most famous sights of Istanbul and the lunch and dinner menus are quite large! We went back to stay 3 different times!

The Magnaura Palace Hotel is ideally placed in Sultanamet and an easy walk of the main attractions - the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sohia. The room had amazing views of the Bosphorous and its constant shipping traffic.
The staff at the hotel were wonderful - all spoke great English and were helpful at all times.
The room was well equipped and the bed comfortable. Perhaps the only criticism was of the hot water - the heat tended to diminish as the day wore on making an evening shower somewhat an in/out experience.
Breakfast was good with a range of products one would expect to find. We did not dine in so are unable to comment.

We spent a few days in Istanbul and couldn’t have asked for a better location right in the middle of all the major sites. Close walking distance to transit. Beds were comfortable rooms were spacious. Rooftop restaurant view is pretty incredible and the breakfast was delicious.

We had a great stay at the Magnaura Palace. Staff were all really friendly and helpful and trips were booked with ease through reception. They handled our transport to and from the airport without any fuss. The restaurant was full of friendly staff and the food was really good. The breakfast was really good with lots of variety and again, nothing too much for the staff. A really good location for visiting local attractions and seeing Istanbul.

The location is the excellent and the best feature of the hotel. You are steps from the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, the Topkapi and the Grand Bazzar. You can see the Bosphorus from the rooms and get a full view of it from the breakfast room. Rooms and amenities are standard, but the location is great.

We stayed here 5 1/2 years ago. We enjoyed our stay so we rebooked it for this trip. If anything, it has even gotten better. The staff is quite anxious to please. The hotel has been maintained well plus they’ve added a deck on top with some fantastic views of the area.

It is close to all the important spots and also near a great Turkish Bath which has been operating for over 500 years. The mosques are nearby, and the Grand Bazaar and the Catles are all within walking distance. It is a very safe area at night to walk around in, and it has lots of good dining choices.

This is a fantastic boutique hotel that is impeccably maintained; the owner is on site, never sleeps; and is incredibly clean and comfortable. It is located next to many local attractions. I was there while it was hot and the air conditioning works very well. The breakfast buffet is outstanding every morning and again, everything is impeccable. I highly recommend.

We checked into the hotel at night and in the morning went to the roof-top breakfast area and was left speechless by the breathtaking view of the Bhosporous and the majestic Hagia Sophia on one side and Blue Mosque on the other.
Both of these monuments are walkable and for the entire duration of our trip, we would walk to the square between these monuments and just relax.

I have stayed twice here and enjoyed both my visits very much. Hospitality is very important to the owner and his staff, and they showed it by making me feel very welcome. The buffet breakfast consists of many traditional Turkish foods, all of which were delicious. And breakfast was more enjoyable with the beautiful view of the Bosphorus. My room also had a good view of the Bosphorus and it was comfortable. I will be staying here again!

My 3-day stay at the Magnaura Palace was wonderful! The staff--Aydin and Enes (sp?)--went above and beyond to make every aspect of my visit the best. The rooftop offered an incredible photo opp with the Blue Mosque lit up at night! The breakfast buffet had the largest selection of fruits, salads, breads and desserts! The room, with a balcony, offered just about every amenity you could want, and a comfy bed. Almost forgot to mention the location...I was skeptical whether the tourist attractions were really within walking distance, especially since I have a disability. But even I was able to walk to the mosques and Topkapi Palace! And I appreciated the airport transportation. If I ever make it back to Istanbul, this is where I would stay again.

I love this hotel. It is my second time staying there. It is conveniently located right in the middle of all attractions and close to transportation. There are many restaurants around. It is walkable everywhere. The stuff is friendly, the restaurant has amazing view to Bosphorus.
