The staff were cold and not friendly. There were always people smoking underneath our window and smoke filled the room all night. The corridor also smelled like smoke. When this was mentioned to the staff nothing was done! Cleaning staff also sprayed the room with a strong cleaning smell that burned my nose. The roof top does not have a view also the coffee is overpriced and not good. I would not stay here again!

Hotel Alilass is lovely and the staff are helpful. My room (single) was small but perfect for me as a solo traveller. The hotel was clean and well maintained. It is right in the heart of a very touristy area and the prices of restaurants etc nearby reflect this. I recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel, centrally located, close to many of the most interesting places to visit. The Blue Mosque is a less than 10 minutes walk away and from there you can easily reach the Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sofía, the Grand Bazar or the Topkapi Palace.
The room is a tad small but I was by myself so no problem there.
I wouldn't give them five stars just because it lacks an elevator so it's not accessible for everyone.
Other than that I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend the Alilass Hotel.

Wonderful stay at this small hotel. Rooms were clean, and as photographed. Breakfast was delicious and had a wide range of options that rotated on different days. Staff were really friendly. Area was not super noisy despite being in a busy tourist area. Close to tram links and Blue Mosque/Hagia Sofia. We had accidentally left personal items in the lobby twice and hotel staff kept and returned them to us safely and promptly when coming back to the hotel. Air conditioning is a god send and delightful to come back to after a hot day. Good room amenities (kettle, bar fridge), hairdryer was good.

The hotel is very nice and well-situated within walking distance of the major attractions. Lots of good restaurants around too! The staff was super-nice and accommodating to me. They stored my bag before and after check-in, helped find a taxi, and even provided a vase for my birthday bouquet. When they found out it was my birthday, they gave me cologne. There’s also an adorable hotel cat named Bella. I highly recommend this hotel.

Me and my wife have stayed all over the world in different hotels but i have to say that this was one of our best stays. The location was absolutely amazing only 3 minutes walk from SultanAhmed Mosque and Higha Sofia Mosque and had so many restaurants and little grocery shops as soon as you come out of the hotel. The staff were absolutely Amazing so friendly and genuine. Murad, the young boy Bey , Daniel and the blond reception lady sorry cant remember her name. They arranged trips and guided us to whatever we wanted to see in istabul i can not say enough about them. Oh and the 2 cleaning ladies and the lady who made all the breakfast were brilliant aswell thankyou ladies. The hotel was spotless very clean rooms with everything you needed in them. I would recommend this hotel to anyone time and time again. 👏👏👏

The shower could have been a little cleaner; there was some signs of mold in the corners… We were so close to the Blue Mosque and so many other tourist sites that made our tours very convenient.

Nice and still quiet hotel in a very busy touristic area, almost every building is either a restaurant or hotel or both. Convenient location only 10 min walking from some of the major historic attraction of Istanbul. (Warning: the hotel didn't have an elevator, or at least I didn't see one).

Centrally located, within minutes of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and modern. If your plan is just to have a nice place where to sleep, this is a great option. If you want fine dining, a gym, sauna, etc., then, it is not. It worked perfectly for me and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to all the action.

Booking in process was very simple and easy, location is excellent, 5 minutes walk to the blue mosque and surrounding areas, also 5/10 minute walk to tram station. Multiple food options at the door step!
Staff are excellent, friendly and always happy to help. Room is average size bedroom, with en-suite! Our shower was leaking however notified staff and this was resolved immediately. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels.
There are also loads of trips which can be booked via reception, myself and my partner opted for the massage which was amazing loved it, reception arranged everything and it was perfect.
Breakfast option available too, good selection of food but also loads of breakfast places nearby.

I want to share my brief experience at this facility. Initially, they refused to refund me despite proof of non-entry to the country. Despite attempts from Expedia and direct messages, they showed no flexibility. However, they did agree to reschedule my stay.
Upon arrival, the reception directed us to a room that looked nothing like the pictures on Expedia – it was really tiny. We accepted it, but later, when I took a shower, water leaked under the door and even went outside the room. When we called the reception, the staff member was rude, insinuating that we didn't know how to shower and even raising his voice. Despite showing him the issue with the door's isolation, he claimed he had never encountered this problem before. He acknowledged it was their mistake only after one day when I showed him the problem again. He offered us another room on the first floor, but it was very noisy due to its proximity to the shops. When we asked to return to our initial room, he was rude again, claiming that we had used two rooms.
Regarding cleanliness, the drapes were clean.

Upon arrival, the reception directed us to a room that looked nothing like the pictures on Expedia – it was really tiny. We accepted it, but later, when I took a shower, water leaked under the door and even went outside the room. When we called the reception, the staff member was rude, insinuating that we didn't know how to shower and even raising his voice. Despite showing him the issue with the door's isolation, he claimed he had never encountered this problem before. He acknowledged it was their mistake only after one day when I showed him the problem again. He offered us another room on the first floor, but it was very noisy due to its proximity to the shops. When we asked to return to our initial room, he was rude again, claiming that we had used two rooms.
Regarding cleanliness, the drapes were clean.

The location of this hotel to all the main tourist attractions as well as lots of restaurants was its big draw for us. The room was clean and basic, a little small for longer that a few nights but more than enough for our three days. We were on the road side of the hotel and it was very, very noisy at night, which was inevitable given the location. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of home cooked cake and other products which showed a great attention to detail. There was a great rooftop terrace with a wonderful view of the sea with chairs and tables, which sadly didn’t seem to be used except by smokers and us!

The room was very small and had almost no storage for clothes, toiletries or anything else. The only option was to keep clothes in the suitcase and store that under the bed. There was no room in the bathroom to keep any toiletries apart from a toothbrush and toothpaste. There was only one power socket in the bedroom, which was certainly not enough for 2 people with multiple devices.
We had not realised in advance that there was no lift, and we were on the third floor, which was rather taxing, especially after a busy day out.
However, the room was immaculately clean, the air conditioning very efficient, and the staff very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is a gem! The room was clean and very nice. Breakfast was provided in the morning and had many options. It was so filling! Gozde at the front desk was always helpful in helping us find places. She would ask us every morning where we planed to go and gave us suggestions. Overall this is a fantastic hotel located close to the blue mosque grand bazaar and the metro train which gets you to the port. We arrived on the 12th February. Denis along with his colleague were at the desk to great us. Staff have been really really helpful and made us feel welcomed. The hotel is situated in such a convenient place. We walked to the Great Blue Mosque, Sophia Mosque, The Great Mehmet Castle where he once lived and the Grand Bazaar! Honestly we didnt need to even get on the trams. Although if you wanted to its regular and near by to Alilass Hotel. Alilass is the place to stay especially if your a couple. An excellent family-run small hotel, which is ideally situated for exploring the delights of Istanbul. The staff are very efficient and friendly, providing many excellent suggestions to ensure their guests’ enjoyment of the city. The breakfast is great - lots of tasty options.
