There isn't much of a spa. I made an appointment for 7:00pm. Showed up, nobody around, lights all out, sauna out of order. Men's changing room had no towels or robes. No directions on how to proceed. There was a massage room but no masseuse. Waited around, nobody showed up. Nobody seemed to care. I don't know how they can say \"Suites & Spa\" when the spa is not in use.

The staff and location of GLK are excellent! All hotel and front desk staff were wonderful…extremely friendly and helpful and offered great suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. The location is perfect as it’s a very short walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and other great sites to see. There are numerous little supermarkets close by if you need anything and lots of great restaurants! The rooms are clean and the connecting family suite is spacious and offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms and comfortable sitting areas with lovely little balconies! We very much enjoyed our stay!

A Very Enjoyable Stay

My stay was very enjoyable. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. My lovely corner room was comfortable and had a great view of both the Sea of Marmara and the Hagia Sophia. The breakfast included a nice variety of tasty food and beverage choices. The discounted Hotels.com room rate was an excellent deal.

Good location in old city 5 min walk tourist sites. Old world charm with ok breakfast. Shower with water pressure that would please Trump! Walls paper thin, when the next room takes a shower @ 7am that's your alarm clock. When booking it listed 20% off at restaurant...that no longer exist, Web site needs updating. Lots of other places to eat steps away. Loved Istanbul but the food is very pricey.

We loved this hotel and the view of the Hagia Sophia from our balcony. It’s located on a street full of bars and restaurants. The staff were super welcoming and nice, we arrived on an early morning flight and they let us check in at 8:30am. We would love to come back!

Hotel is close to all the action on pub Row right near hagia sofia. It was quite noisy in the evening.Hearing music coming in from outside until 3am. Great location to walk to old town historic sites. Rooms were very small but did have a great view.

Staying at the Acropol was a great choice. I was there for 7 nights. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great. The metro station was a bit further than ideal, but walkable. It is in a busy neighborhood but I never notices any noise. The ac in the hotel could almost be described as American. Excellent ac. There are small super markets close, truly an excellent location and facility. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent hotel, with a location full of pluses and minuses.

We had the good fortune to stay on the top floor with a balcony, and had a breathtaking view of the Hagia Sophia, and the minarets of the Blue Mosque. It was exactly between the two in terms of Hearing the call to prayer, and these two mosques go back and forth in a memory we will have forever.

A short, slightly uphill walk puts you at the centre of old Istanbul. Early in the morning will put you first in line with little effort. Close to the tram line if that’s what you’re doing, which gets you to the ferries.

The down side is that you will have to run a gauntlet of restaurants who want your business very much, and very friendly carpet-sellers who will want your time and money. Quality of both varies from the reasonable to the terrible, with not much to help you choose between them but giving them a go. Do so at your risk. Prices are high, especially on the drink, but you are in the middle of where tourists want to be.

In my view, this was the nicest hotel in this little area other than the 4 Seasons at almost 10 times the price. The staff are great, the place is clean, it’s a little older. The a/c works pretty good.

And it’s position is unique for hitting all those boxes.

It's in a touristy area with lots and lots of restaurants and shops that could get really busy. The hotel itself is pretty decent with nice staff. Nothing too fancy as it's a slightly older building but super clean and cozy. Didn't use any amenities.

We had a lovely stay at GLK Acropolis. The lotcation is excellent, perfect for exploring Istanbul. and the staff is truly formidable, always attentive and welcoming. The room was comfortable, though a bit tight. It could be made a little more cozy and inviting, perhaps with better lighting and some small updates to give it a fresher feel.

A big plus for us was the free access to the sauna and Turkish bath, which was fantastic for the whole family and really enhanced our stay. The service throughout was absolutely top-notch and made us feel very well cared for.

If I had to mention one downside, the beds were not the most comfortable, and the linen was unusual: instead of sheets or a duvet, there was only a small \"towel-like\" throw, not even large enough for one person. Something more covering and cozy would have been nicer. I requested a change, but it seems it was missed; it was our only hiccup during the stay.

Overall, we enjoyed our time here and would recommend GLK Acropolis for its outstanding location and exceptional service.

Ailemle beraber gittim ve herkes çok memnun zaman geçirdi, bir gece kalmamıza rağmen dinlenmiş bir şekilde ayrıldığımız ve İstanbul’a tekrar gelirsem uğrayacağım bir otel. Lokasyon olarak da çok merkezi her yere yürüyerek gidebileceğimiz kadar yakın.

Breakfast buffet was great with good options . The place is surrounded by awesome restaurants . Easy walk to the Blue mosque , grand bazar . I would highly recommend this place . You won’t regret . Over all , fantastic time saying here seeing Istanbul .

My stay at GLK premium Acropol suite and spa was exceptional the hotel is located in an amazing area in Sultanahmet where you can enjoy exploring within minutes from the hotel it was very clean and nice I really enjoyed my stay there for one week couldn’t complain about anything and the best for last! We had a wonderful stay at GLK PREMIER Acropol Suites & Spa! We’re a family of four with older kids, and the room was spacious and comfortable for all of us. The sofa beds were just fine for our 5-night stay.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. One pleasant surprise was that the hamam experience is included—we didn’t know beforehand, but they offer guests one hour per day to enjoy the sauna and traditional Turkish bath, which was such a relaxing bonus!

The location couldn’t be better. The hotel is just a short walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern, and the Arasta Bazaar—a charming little market that’s easy to explore. Staying here was the best decision because we were able to walk everywhere without the stress of figuring out transportation.

Breakfast was delicious every morning, with a great variety to start the day.

Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable! We’d definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back.

GLK Premier is an excellent hotel. Its location (5 mins from the Blue Masque and Hagia Sophia), extremely accommodating and very nice staff, very clean and spacious rooms are just a few of the reasons we keep going back. We first visited this hotel and 2013 and had an amazing time, and now, 12 years later, it was just as wonderful. The front desk helped us with every one of our asks and recommended great restaurants and car services. We had an early flight and had to leave an hour and a half before breakfast was to start and when we came downstairs breakfast was actually waiting for us and the staff made us sandwiches for the road as they didn’t know if we will have time to eat there. They made us feel so incredibly welcome and we will definitely return again in the future.

The location is unbeatable—just steps from top sights like Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Basilica Cistern. Safe, walkable, and ideal for exploring the heart of Istanbul.

Breakfast each morning was generous and delicious, and my room was a peaceful, beautifully kept retreat. Every corner of the hotel is clean, inviting, and thoughtfully designed.

A must-do is the Sultan Hammam & Spa inside the hotel. After a long flight, it was the perfect way to unwind and recharge—professional, relaxing, and beautifully authentic.
