Very expensive for what you get. Hallways tired, worn and stark. Bedrooms clinical in design.
Room too hot with no way to turn the heat down.
Hairdryer didn’t work.
Twin mattresses instead of a double.
No carpet on stairs from 3rd floor landing.
Picture of reception online does not look like the real thing.
Also, free transport to hotel did not happen even though we had arranged it.
Not the most welcoming receptionist who checked us in.
But much nicer one who checked us out.
Overall
Impression was poor.
However, bed very comfy and shower very powerful. Breakfast very good too.

The room was by far not worth the price paid, especially considering that the last night was offered at a much lower rate than what I was charged.
On Saturday evening, after being dropped by 2 friends by taxi following dinner, I was approached by 2 men when entering the hotel and referred to me as a “Hausbesuch = house visit,” clearly implying I was a prostitute. This was extremely offensive and unacceptable!!!!!!!
The staff was generally not much helpful, in particular the so-called Guest Relations Manager, whose attitude was aggressive rather than professional. Additionally, a dirty housekeeping bucket was left outside my room for several days.
Overall, poor value for money and a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this hotel and will for sure never ever stay there anymore! The pictures on Instagram and co. are being from people that are being paid or staying there for free to do the posts!

Das Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber. Das Frühstück war auch super. Leider war am Anreisetag die Rezeption nicht gerade hilfsbereit und freundlich. Außerdem haben Sie für das Ausleihen eines Steckdosenadapters 20 CHF gebucht. Die man zwar wieder zurück bekommt, aber das ist kein gutes Gefühl. Die Lage ist nicht gerade zentral, der Weg zu St. Moritz Dorf ist sehr lang.

Our room was refurbished and furnishings are practical with lots of storage space.
One of the hotel restaurants- Made in Asia serves fantastic Thai cuisine - a very pleasant surprise.

Well the property is under a big renovation so it’s dusty which is understandable, in regards about the room itself it was nice, the bed was ok, they definitely need to offer more than one pillow for the bed, the restaurants were very good as they have three on site, definitely going back next year, we want to see how it’s going to look like when it’s done :)

The location is perfect, walking distance to Ski Lift and downtown, as well as hiking paths. The hotel has agreement with Ovaverva, a complex with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, water slides, Gym and spa. This is perfect to relax after a day of skiing or hiking.
The staff is incredibly polite and professional. They make you feel like a royal guest. Staff members are from many different nationalities, and they all speak many languages. This makes the ambient very interesting, warming and welcoming. The so many options for dining are all fantastic. The bar is great. The Lobby has ample space with all kind of seating options from high-desk for laptops to coffee/tea chairs to cozy sofas. Our favorite spot was the sofa near the fireplace which gives a nice warm look and wood aroma to the entire area.
The breakfast, included in room rates, is superb, with so many options for all tastes, from cereals, yogurts, and fruits, to fresh or grilled vegetables, wide selection of cheese and cold meats, different types of breads to an omelette station! Great juices and two espresso machines with perfect coffee of any type of preparation. Housekeeping staff, all international and multilingual, are super polite and quite fast. Before you know, your room is all cleaned and done! We stayed in room 461, a great corner room with awesome views. Our kids stayed at room 150, very spacious and nice balcony.
We had a lovely stay and would return any time. It could not have been better.

It was beautiful in the lobby but that’s where it ended. When we exited the elevator the whole floor was under construction. There was a strip of carpet down the hallway. The room was barren. It felt like staying in a construction zone

Hello Expedia,

This is regarding Itinerary # 72527315933031.

We booked two rooms for two days at Hotel Laudinella in St.Moritz, Switzerland from 10 to 12 June.

I initially contacted you on 4th June regarding cancellation of one room, explaining the situation of my parents, who are senior citizens and were tired after sightseeing and travel in the US and were unable to travel to Switzerland.

Expedia spoke to the Hotel and informed me that the hotel is not accepting cancellation. Then I called the hotel directly and the lady initially said that I can speak to the manager once I am there at the Hotel on 10 June.

When I reached the Hotel on 10th, I explained the previous discussion had with Expedia and the hotel staff and I told him that we are only two adults with one child and we need only one room. He did not entertain the request and gave me the keys for two rooms. He said that he cannot do anything and the people in the reservation desk already left for the day and I will have to wait till next morning.

Next morning, I enquired for the reservation desk, but the lady at the reception called a number and asked me to talk to the person on phone line, saying that the other person on the line is from the reservation team.
The lady on the phone line rejected my request citing Expedia rules do not permit to refund/credit.

So, Expedia is blaming the hotel and hotel is blaming Expedia.

I request you to look into the problem and issue a credit so that I can use it later.

While the room was big, the power sockets around the room was poorly positioned around the room. There were either no shelves near the power socket or the table was far too low from the power socket.
It felt as though the hotel never gave thought about such basic needs.

Great property and very spacious for European hotels! The wood appearance, the stenciling, the fireplace in the main area , all felt very “ski lodgy “ and charming. Again our room was very large and spacious compared to other European hotels. My disappointment , the spa area was closed for a couple weeks and that’s one of the reasons I had selected this hotel bc as an American, I wanted to experience a European hotel spa and the full experience. 😞. The breakfast was plentiful ! Of all the places I could have selected with a hotel spa. I understand of course that maintenance and upkeep have to occur but I couldn’t help but feel disappointed and sad that that had to happen during her one night I was there. I would certainly stay there again though!

A superb stay with superb staff

Absolutely perfect - the Covid-19 precautions were excellent and not intrusive. The breakfast buffet items were all separate with the birchermuesli and joghurt in small glasses. Everything was done to make the guest safe. The staff were perfection itself, being polite and especially the gentleman at reception very helpful.

I stayed in a Superior Double Room with Balcony for 6 nights. The room was quite large. The balcony had 2 chairs and a small table. The room had many windows, with great views of the mountains. Ample plugs and lighting. With the windows closed, it is pretty quiet, but there is some noise from the parking lot and bus route in front of the hotel. Dark curtains blocked the light well. There is a safe and a water heater for tea. No fridge. The TV had quite a few channels in English. Lots of closet space. The room was very clean.The staff was friendly and helpful. There is only one elevator in the section I was in, and it was very slow. Great wi-fi.

The hotel is right next to a bus stop, which allows you to get anywhere in the area (free with the transportation pass included with 2+ nights stay).

The breakfast buffet was large, with breads, cheeses, salami, etc; yogurt, cereals, fruit; a chef cooking eggs to order, fried rice, OJ. The hotel gets bus tours, so it was busy, but I never had trouble getting food quickly or finding a seat. The hotel has a number of different restaurants, which provided some nice options.

Lovely large hotel. Beautiful room, well stocked, lovely staff. Staying at the hotel includes a shuttle from the train station and use of the St. Moritz city pool. At first, I was a little put off by the fact that we had to walk up the street to swim, but the city pool is one of the most beautiful swimming facilities that I've ever seen. Multiple pools, including an outdoor deck pool with Alps views, and a lovely spa. Laudinella is in St Moritz Bad, not the city center, but it has a lot of bars and restaurants and, with the shuttle service, we never felt isolated. The only down side is that the hotel caters to tour groups (probably standard for this type of hotel in this area at this time of year), but they can make a lot of commotion when they arrive and leave the hotel (or descend on the breakfast buffet).

Okay hotel, snooze of a town

The hotel is okay, I guess. I am just really disappointed by St. Moritz. I can’t think of any reason, honestly, to go there. If there was ever an attractive Old World kind of village there, with any kind of historical charm, it is gone now, torn down for Prada and foo-foo designer nonsense stores. My advice: skip St. Moritz.

We had a very nice spacious room with a balcony facing the snow capped mountains! The location is great too, walking distance to the lake. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel where we can take to town.

We also like the different variety of restaurants. And the free shuttle pickup from & to the Train station.

Lovely hotel good location but room too hot.

The hotel was in a great location, good selection of restaurants in the hotel and enjoyed the ovaverva spa which was included. The room was nice and comfortable but our only complaint was it was too hot in the room, there was no air con or fans available so we had to sleep with the door wide open and the road was noisy. It was about 20c outside so not boiling. It maybe so hot as we were on a high floor. Good breakfast included too.

Hotel in nice location just outside of town. Room very clean and comfortable.
We had evening meal in the Pizzeria restaurant in the basement which was excellent.
Only let down was no coffee available within the room, seems only select teas are available.
Breakfast was a bit chaotic as it is all self service. Guess this depends if hotel is full.
Free transport back to the railway station.

wde got a family room. there were two bedrooms with an interconnecting door and one bathroom with twin sinks.the hote; has a railway pickup and dropoff facility which wa very fortunate as it was snowing. the hotel has 4 restaraunts a sauna steam bath and pool.

Hotel provided free transfer from & to the train station.

The most unique feature was the hotel has very good restaurants on site. We tried the Thai and Italian restaurants on two nights and both served very good authentic food.

Hotel offers half board for guest (breakfast + dinner), which the throw in free afternoon tea. They also offer ski pass. Both are good deals.

Don't go for the single room

Bit of a dated hotel in St. Moritz (as many of them appear). The single room that I was first given didn't have a working heater and no range for the wi-fi, and with nights going to -10 C, I asked for another room. Was given a nice double with a great view of the mountains. Not sure what the price difference would have been, but this room was a whole lot nicer. Great breakfast, the best of four Swiss hotels that I stayed at while on this trip.

We decided to choose Laudinella for our stay in St.Moritz as they provide complimentary pick up an drop to station. The hotel was very well located with bus stop and the cable car stop in close vicinity. The breakfast was good with wide variety of fruits and cakes. My wife loved the pool. Overall a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend it to everybody

Not the best choice

The premises are old and run down. The rooms are in a similar condition. Bathrooms in particualt in need of some money being spent. Old stale smoke smell throughout. Not a place I would recommend. The manager was very helpful. Our first room offering was a shocker , my wife outrightly refusing to stay there. The manager kindly offered us two room choices the third a lot better than the first two but still not value for money.

Shocking reality

The hotel's restaurants are spectacular! but that is all that should have 3.5 star classification complimented by the hotel room prices against the Lundinela name! Paying 220chf per night for a room that was last decorated in the 70s was a rough disappointment. There was absolutely no style about my room and neither were there any usual goodies all hotels with that many stars provide. Lamps in the room were plastic and can be bought for few euros in cheap shops. bins were plastic. windows are very aged as well with slight mould inbetween. Only one towel in a room, no slippers, no dressing gown, no towel for hair. Staff very fake! I stay in upmarket hotels worldwide and have not experienced such attitude anywhere. Guest double bed, yet only single duvet. Hotelrooms in the main building may have the standard advertised on a website, but neighbouring building where I stayed really needs some serious upgrades if they intend to charge this much money! Sauna - small space with overcrowded rooms full of naked older people - yet they charge extra 20chf for this? That really was a last straw!

Great food with multiple choices.
Good location not in the center of the town but close enough to walk everywhere and the public transportation is excellent.
Excellent staff willing to help. Nice and friendly.
Ample secure storage for bikes. (Bring your own lock)

WLAN works but don't expect HD Video quality.
Mattresses are hard, very hard.
Water pressure in the shower could be better.

O hotel é bem localizado, mas não exatamente no centro, são 20 ou 25 minutos caminhando ou 5 minutos de táxi, que custa cerca de 28 francos. Tivemos um problema bem desagradável: pedimos à recepção para reservar uma mesa no restaurante do hotel vizinho, que pertence ao mesmo grupo. Porém erraram a data, e quando chegamos fomos muito mal tratados e praticamente pediram para nos retirarmos. Foi realmente constrangedor. A equipe do hotel até tentou reparar o erro, foram muito atenciosos e pediram desculpas, mas ficou uma impressão ruim a respeito desse evento. Outro ponto negativo é a cobrança para uso da piscina e da sauna, 30 francos por pessoa, o que eu considero um absurdo. Pontos positivos: o café da manhã é excelente. O quarto é simples, porém muito limpo e confortável. A equipe do restaurante Caruso é especialmente amável. Há uma loja de aluguel de esqui em frente ao hotel, com desconto para hóspedes, e ponto de ônibus a 2 minutos de caminhada.

Hotel ist immer noch im Umbau. Das ist recht unangenehm. Auch der versprochene freie Eintritt in das Schwimmbad Ovaverva konnte nicht stattfinden, da das Schwimmbad für mindestens 1 Jahr seit 30.03.2025 geschlossen hat. Trotzdem stand es noch im Hotel auf allen Gästeinformationen.

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen, vieles ist zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Schlafzimmer und der Frühstücksraum sind im Winter überheizt - hier könnte man Heizkostem sparen. Relativ wenige PP vorhanden. Im Winter/Schneegestöber werden die Autos von links und von rechts so eng zu zugeparkt, dass man nicht mehr in seinen Wagen einsteigen kann...

Superou todas as minhas expectativas. O quarto amplo é muito confortável. Ponto de ônibus em frente que facilita o acesso a qualquer lugar da cidade. Durante a nossa visita pegamos -11 graus, mas os quartos são muito bem aquecidos, inclusive o banheiro.

Kjempehyggelig og hjelpsomt personale, stort og fint hotell med alt man trenger! Kjempegode restauranter og hotellet var nærme alt fra alpinanleggene og St.Moritz sentrum. Kunne ikke vært mer fornøyd! Anbefales!!!

Es war ein super Aufenthalt. Für unser Baby wurde ein Reisebett und eine Wickelunterlage im Zimmer bereitgestellt. Leider war der Wellnessbereich geschlossen resp. nur gegen Aufpreis buchbar. Dies war bei der Buchung leider nicht speziell vermerkt. Ansonsten alles top.

Elektroauto parkplatz war von fremden fahrzeugen belegt. Daher musste ich auf einen öffentlichen parkplatz ausweichen. Sauna war ohne ankündigung kostenpflichtig.

Das Hotel ist in einem unzumutbaren Zustand. Die Zimmer veraltet und die Korridors im Umbau - Von der Küche riecht es in den Korridoren und im Zimmer. Wir mussten Zimmer wechseln weil der Abfluss von Lavabo sich selber löste (war mit Tape befestigt). Nie wieder dorthin !

La struttura dell’hotel Laudinella è semplice, basica e pulita; un buon rapporto qualità prezzo a Sankt Moritz è molto difficile Da trovare, ci si deve anche saper accontentare.
La nota dolente riguarda il personale, basterebbe davvero poco impegno, per rendere l’hotel accogliente; dalla reception al ristorante, il servizio, davvero è proprio da migliorare. Io ho avuto un’esperienza particolarmente negativa presso il ristorante, al di là del servizio buono o meno buono, qualità dei piatti etc.. Non è tollerabile pagare, non solo per un mediocre servizio ma addirittura per essere trattati con maleducazione . Non faccio cattiva pubblicità e non entrò nei particolari, sono una persona educata e gentile quindi mi limito a fare una recensione con la speranza che apporti un miglioramento nel servizio, alla fine è quello che conta di più per noi fruitori .

Chambres un peu vieillissantes, mais spacieuse. Superbe vue sur Saint-Moritz.

Wir kommen gerne wieder

Wir hatten 3 wunderschöne Tage im Hotel Laudinella. Auch in dieser schwierigen Zeit hat das Hotel alles bestens gemeistert.
Die Zimmer waren sauber und komfortabel. Der Service absolut spitze. Das Essen köstlich. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen.
