This is a very old hotel, small rooms. Only two restaurants are open, and they were understaffed. Breakfast was very basic, but it was good. We had one dinner in the dining room and it was not worth the price. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Overall the property is good. Not sure the value proposition was met given the cost.. My room heating system failed so it was always too warm. I had to open the window. I reported the problem but was not offered another room. Room was not as nice as photos or the description. Views from the room were amazing. Ski related amenities are great. Location is perfect. Great breakfast buffet.

Aside from the hotel being beautiful and having an old, classic charm to it, our stay was made much more pleasant by Giulia at the front desk. She took such good care of us and really made the experience much better. She helped us find restaurants to visit and gave us many suggestions for things to do.

Beautiful regal type hotel which overlooks the lake. Staff took and parked car, got a free upgrade to a much bigger room. All very nice. Hotel was very quiet with hardly any guests . Seems like Summer months are painfully quiet with very little going on in the town and lots of shops and restaurants closed for the summer months. No complaints about hotel whatsoever but wouldn’t rush back to Zermatt.

Clean, nice, superior service.
Old school in a good way (pen and paper checkin, physical key, etc), but also a little dated - the room could use some TLC. Our mini suite was very spacious and clean. Lake view was fantastic! Free mini bar. Bathroom was good, but no toiletries! Only one do-it-all “soap”. If it was for about half a price that I paid, I’d give it a better score, but I expected more.

Noisy location on the mountain side (room 210)….but convenient area of town. TV in room didn’t work. Modern weight scale in bathroom didn’t work. There isn’t a pool. Shower head kept falling off it’s mount.

This is one of best hotels we have stayed in Switzerland. Nice facilities and good size of room. The bed was good. The room was very quiet. The location is excellent and next to bus stations and about 10 minutes walk to St Moritz train station or 4 minutes to train station if taking bus which is 1 minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast was also very good and we liked it. The hotel has two restaurants. One opens 11 am and another one opens at 7 pm. We liked the one opens at 11 am that has many options of pizza and others. Only thing we did not like was we were charged 3 CHF for taped water.

The room was very basic. Not nearly as nice as the Schweizerhof in Zurich and Lucerne. Average at best. We were glad that we had booked only one night. A lot of construction in the area. We did enjoy a nice walk around the lake.

This find was a wonderful surprise. It is beautiful and sits up high with wonderful lake and Mountain Views. Staff was excellent. Breakfast included was best we have experienced to date on this trip. Transportation from train is provided. If ever in area again, will choose this property.

We had a wonderful stay. The room had a beautiful view of the lake. The floors were a bit creaky, but the room was large and comfortable. We walked up from the train station. The walk was a pretty steep, uphill trek. If you have any health or mobility issues, I would take transportation up to the hotel.

Phenomenal, perfect even, stay in St. Moritz

This is the first time we had stayed at a Schweizerhof hotel. It was faultless, perfect even.

The front desk staff were unbelievably helpful and accommodating. Michaela especially.

This was an early summer stay in June and not all funiculars or lifts/gondolas were open for the summer season. We were pointed in the right direction to go to Diavolezza 2978 as this had just opened. We would never have known otherwise. It was a fantastic day thanks to Michaela's suggestion.

The atmosphere everywhere was first class and professional, including complimentary mini bars, frequently replenished.

My wife is insisting we stay at Schweitzerhof hotels in future where it is a viable option as a result.

Not worth it- better properties for better price.

Very overrated and wish we stayed in a different property. Concierge was incredibly unhelpful with booking and recommending restaurants. housekeeping wouldn’t clean our rooms- would only make our bed. Truly never complain about hotels and have always had a good experience booking through hotel.com, but would not recommend this hotel. Only good part was location.

nice Hotel with one minor hiccup

Spent two evenings here as we took the Bernina Express to Tirano and back one day. When we checked in they gave us two cards for travel in the area. I informed the we have been using the Swiss Travel Pass which is good everywhere. I received other local cards from hotels for travel in their area while in Switzerland. My surprise was when we arrived in Zurich I received an email that I had to turn in the cards upon departure. NO ONE at the front desk when I checked out asked for the cards back. Bottom line I mailed the cards back to them from our Zurich hotel. Sounds like more of a big deal than it was, but it would be nice to know the cards MUST be returned or you can just not take them. The email exchange between the hotel and me was very cordial, as I guess I was also to blame, and didn't detract from our stay there. This is more an FYI, to be sure to surrender the rail cards or just don't take them if you are using a Swiss Travel Pass. Nice hotel, and would stay there again.

Over price horrible staff.

No thermostat in the room! No wine glasses, 45$ for 2 small chocolates from mini bar, horrible elevator, front desk is never attended and not smart people working at the desk Don t speak English well, bar never attended, resturant food not good, no smart people work at the resturant as well, location is fabulous and the man in charge of the breakfest. I rate this place 3 stars!

Great stay at Schweizerhof Swiss Quality Hotel

The rooms are clean, linen and towels new or like new. Tea coffee and a small fridge with some welcome drinks thrown in for free.
The porter/shuttle driver was friendly and very helpful.
The breakfast had fruits, eggs made to order, cold cuts, juices, muesli, smoked salmon and lots more.
The receptionist was super and sent me off to their cabin in the mountains where I had lunch and it was really beautiful with a view of the other lakes around St Moritz.

We were amazed that we were given city passes allowing us to travel to the tops of two mountains free of charge, a wonderful trip. A beautiful city. The hotel itself was excellent. The only reason I am not giving five smiley faces is because of the restaurant which is under the hotel management. I asked. The food in the restaurant was not very good and the wine was very, very bad. The waiter, who had recommended it asked me if I liked it. I told him it was very bad and he just shrugged. I would not stay here again because of the restaurant.

Friendly staff. Visited during off season (late November) so much quieter and was able to get a free upgrade to more spacious room. Breakfast was great - made to order omelette or pre-made eggs available, good assortment of cold breakfast items, outstanding tea selections! Offered transportation to the train station (2min car ride or <10min walk). Complementary mini bar in the room - 2 small beers, iced tea, water, peanuts, and chocolate - is a nice touch. Sauna on the 6th floor and a den/terrace facing the lake were a real treat! Would recommend and stay again.

I really had to talk my husband into visiting St Moritz. After our 2 day visit he stated that St Moritz was his favourite place in Switzerland and the Schwizerhof was his favourite hotel in our 6 week holiday. The hotel was so lovely and the views from our room were so incredible that we had room service both nights. The location, the staff and of course the beautiful surroundings has made us want to return to this hotel. The staff organised tours for us and assisted us with all of our needs. I had a mix up with my booking before we arrived and not only did they answer my email they also rang to ensure me that everything had been sorted.

From the second we arrived we were very impressed with the hotel staff. The staff immediately greeted us, parked our car, brought our luggage to our room and our ski equipment to the locker room. There were no additional/hidden fees. Everything was included in the nightly rate (parking, locker room, mini bar, spa, and breakfast). The hotel was also in walking distance to the gondola/ski tram, village, restaurants, and bars.

Our room had a beautiful view! The bathroom freaked me out, it was obvious that glass rings were all over the bathroom counter and spots on the floor. I was concerned it wasn't cleaned properly, but I took a facecloth and tried to clean it myself and didn't come off. Therefore, I believed just rings stained on the marble counter tops. Sane thing with the floor. The restaurant was pricey but the best meal we had in Switzerland, worth every Penny! The staff at breakfast were wonderful the head waitress didn't want me to lift a finger, treated me like I was a queen! Nice place once you get over the bathroom scare!

Just a short walk from the station (up the escalators) the hotel is set close to the main area in St Moritz. The lake view rooms are amazing.

I had a great room. Large area and large bathroom. Small balcony, but great to relax when the sun was shining.

The service and cleanliness were excellent.

It was quiet so I can't say how this changes when it's busy.

Breathtaking View on St Moritz Lake

My stay in Schwezerhof was impecable from the reception, upgrade of the room, Sauna and the Quietroom with spectacular view on the Lake & Mountains, to breakfast and the dinner, delicious & welcoming atmosphere in all respects. I totally recommend it for single/ couple travellers.

The service at the Hotel was excellent overall. The Hotel is at very convenient location and have shuttle service from the train station. The information center staff called the Hotel for the shuttle service for me and it took 5 minutes for the driver came to the train station. The breakfast was also excellent.
Want to stay in this hotel again next time when I visit St. Moritz.

Nice hotel in St Moritz

Lovely location in St Moritz, seconds away from the designer shops that were well out of my price range.
The hotel will shuttle you back and forth to the train station as you want, but it was only a few minutes walk anyway, with three huge escalators to cut out the hill. A few minutes in the other direction is the funicular / cable car up to Piz Noir, where I think they're building a ski run for the Olympics. If you stay at the hotel for a few nights (2 or 3 or more, though not sure about winter season) they give you a card that gets you free access up all the local mountains.
There was a free minibar in the room, which included a couple of bottles of beer each day. And they put up a free picnic breakfast for you to take away if needed. They even have a rucksack in the room for use while there, with access to walking poles from reception if needed.
For me, the hotel was more attentive than I'd expected, though seeing what St Moritz I guess most hotels in the area will try to offer that little bit more.

Lovely room, beautiful view over lake. Food excellent and accommodating special requests, although a bit pricey. Hotel staff efficient. Great location, although quite a walk up to it from station, with Lake view one side and shops, both essential and non essential the other.
