Staff are friendly & welcoming. Room was a bit tired & very basic but it was clean. Bed could have been more comfortable, it was extremely hard. We like a firm mattress but this was like sleeping on a surf board so i’m glad we were only staying 3 nights.

The area was very convenient for everything. The reception guy was very helpful and accommodating. The problem I’ve got was the room was too warm, I’ve asked to cool it down to 19C but it never cooled down, so I need to open the windows so air can come in. I’ve used a cup for a coffee came back in the evening still unwashed. In other hotels I’ve been there’s disposable sleeper, I think they also need to provide that and the coffee should be replaced everyday not only when you arrived, not because you can’t afford to buy it but sometimes in the middle of the night when you want to have something to drink.

The breakfast was really nice. The staff were very attentive right when we walked in. The rooms are pretty spacious, but the showers are very very small. The walls are also very thin. You can hear the other guests at all times. Thankfully, they do have an elevator, but you can only fit two people in at a time. It is a little different in comparison to the types of elevators people are normally used to. Overall, it is in a great location, very central to the train station, which can get you anywhere. Not bad, but a little pricey, for what it is.

The staff were welcoming and helpful.
The single rooms were well equipped and clean. The ensuite bathroom was spotless, however if you are a large person the shower cubicle would be a little on the small side!
The continental breakfast had many choices, including a delicious berried cheesecake. My only criticism would be that there was not any milk left out to put on cereals.
The location is excellent if you are arriving in Milan by train as it is only a short walk from Milano Centrale and the Metro.

It was a nice stay: Rooms are small but clean, air conditioning worked perfectly and the best part of stay was breakfast. Svetlana always made us feel so welcomed with smile and very good coffee. Staff in the hotel was very professional and friendly: receptionists, housekeeping and administrator Igor. Location is good if you want to take a bus from and to airport.

This property had good reviews and I went with that. But the room had no towels and I had to ask for them, the floor is dusty and there are no blankets so I can’t sleep properly with the ac on. I’m up at 3 am writing this review. This is more a hostel than a hotel so please rate it clearly - it’s not cheap as well by worldwide standards

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Milan Central train station so it's a perfect location for travellers. The hotel is modern, clean and our room is made up each day. It's a 30 minute walk to the Duomo but the metro is easy and simple to use. We've just had a full day at Lake Como and it was so easy. Great hotel.

This hotel is a stone's throw from Milano Centrale FS so very convenient...........30-40min walk to Duomo etc on a nice day OR use the Metro!

AC works really well! The window shutters looked designed for a fortress but reduce street noise & act as blackout blinds too!

However, the broken door handle to the bathroom was a bit silly! Compact single room meant it had little impact.

Good selection for breakfast from cakes & biscuits to yogurt & cereal. Was a bit surprised at the plastic cups for juice or water given they like to cite their eco credentials...........

Fabulous find with access to Milano Central Station - 2 mins walk - and easy metro to Domo. Room was small and well air-conditioned. Desk staff were friendly and professional. I enjoyed my 2 nights in Milan and would definitely go back.

No frills hotel with really good breakfast and clean rooms. The hotel is a little older and a littler tired, but in alignment with most European 3-star hotels. Breakfast was a positive surprise, as was the service from the coffee lady who ran the coffee bar. Very close to Centrale FS w plenty of Lime scooters and bikes to get around.

Close to Milano Centrale & Metro (M2) so even if you arrive Milano P. Garibaldi, Metro M2 get you to the hotel easily. Comfortable & clean room, very decent amenities (kettle & fridge!), strong aircon, professional but friendly staff & lovely interior. Highly recommend. Happy to stay again.

Hotel Bernina was a great option for one night before transiting, a couple of minutes walk from Milano Centrale, and good value for what it is.
Walkable distance to attractions such as Duomo (~40mins but gentle/flat)
Be careful in surrounding areas with food/drink, there are some excellent options, and there are some that are absolute Robbery (€6 for a double espresso, plus €2 per person service charge, plus not optional tip…)
Not the Hotel’s responsibility at all, just, standard caution in any tourist area.
Hotel staff were top tier, very friendly, and checked us in even though we were a little early. Would stay here again.

We love the Hotel Bernina, because it is so close to where you want to be and visit. The Duomo + Summit is right of the Metro, there are even shopping along some of the stops, and park you can stroll through. We enjoy our time in the convenience of the hotel. Our stay was short but worth the time we’ll spent. Also, in June, while we were there we went to the Pride Parade, it was so amazing, it was like Carnival in Trinidad. If we get a chance to go back to Milan we will stay at the Hotel Bernina.

We stayed at Hotel Bernina in April and were really impressed by the location — it’s incredibly convenient, right next to a metro station entrance, making it easy to explore Milan.
That said, a couple of things to be aware of:
The room was smaller than it appeared in photos, which made it feel a bit cramped, especially considering the amenities.
Be sure to confirm with the hotel whether the air conditioning units are operational during your stay. When we visited at the end of April, the A/C was shut off for the season, despite being listed as available in the hotel’s description and booking sites. Our room got quite warm, and opening the window wasn’t ideal due to street noise and no mosquito screen.
Just something to keep in mind, but overall, it’s a solid choice for the price and the location!

The location is good and the staff is nice. But my room was lacking. The bathroom smelled bad, the room phone and kettle didn’t work. It was small and noisy. There’s no space to open you luggage. You can hear everything in the adjacent room and hallway. The breakfast was good. I don’t think I will stay here again.

A great place to stay for solo travellers who want to be close to all the attractions of Milan. The hotel is really conveniently located to Milan Central Station and Buenos Aires all of which are walking distance. There are lots of restaurants nearby which makes it easy to find a bite to eat if you have booked the room only option like I did.
The rooms are clean, however they are really basic and I wouldn’t recommended the hotel to families or couples who are looking for a hotel to relax in. The walls are thin and you can definitely hear people in the next room. The room comes with a hair dryer inside the bathroom and sachets of showergel and shampoo. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Overall a good place for a short break to explore Milan.

Good and quiet location, clean room, very nice reception area.Good breakfast. Nice personnel. The italian way not to have one duvet cover but two separate bed sheets for your cover was a bit difficult. And the bottom sheet was not big enough to reach well on both sides of the matress. Our room was probably the smallest one. The wall plugs were not in good condition. Some places of the hotel need painting or reparation. Yet in general we liked it and perhaps will return because of the excellent location.
