Staff speak very good English and are all very helpful. Swimming pool is very modern and sauna is also very private. Just one down point that spa is not available. The hotel has a long history but was well maintained. Things are very clean and tidy. Restaurant is also very nice with good food and excellent staff! A very good experience in the hotel! I wish I have stayed longer!

This is a wonderful hotel with interesting history. The hotel prides itself on the history and is decorated to reflect some of the history. Our stay was comfortable and the hotel was central and convenient. Staff were helpful and the shuttle to and from the station was convenient. We had a most enjoyable stay.

This is an amazing property with very courteous staff
Stayed for one night in a balcony room with lake view. It was superb and the room was significantly big by European standards. The bathroom as luxurious too. Pickup and drop at the station was prompt and proactive. Hotel is located right on the shopping street which as very convenient. Breakfast was good. Very close to the lake and suited our long walks.
All in all we had a great stay before boarding the Bernina Express. Would like to come back and stay again for sure .

Amazing place to stay. Firstly, the service was just great, and everyone there was so nice. The room was lovely, as was the food from the restaurant on the ground floor. Nice ambiance with wood fires in the reception and the car service to the station is massively useful!

Our stay was wonderful and the amenities fantastic. Our room was smaller but we had a balcony with peek a book lake views. We did have in-room nespresso machine. The pods are to be purchased separately. We enjoyed the pool and the steam room. The location in middle of town was so easy and they had car service to drive you to train if you wanted. There was a wonderful waterfall adjacent to pool area. It wasn't ski season but we saw they had many amenities to store gear. Highly recommended.

Very convenient location & very nice views of lake & mountain from the balcony. Staff was exceptionally helpful in planning excursions up the lifts. Great restaurant at top of highest mountain. You get a card which allows free travel on lifts & busses.

The town was extremely quiet during our stay
most shops were closed until June, so there wasn't a lot of shopping or things to do, but fir just being a quick stop over it worked just fine. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Just what we needed.

Staff were amazing. Hotel is nice and comfortable. Rooms are average size with small sitting area (chairs). Nice bathroom with walk in shower. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. They also have a free local shuttle which is very handy to and from the train station.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Steffani. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any enquiries. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and our room was lovely with everything you could want. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of food and drink. Hotel is situated in a good position with plenty og restaurants, shops etc close by. Would recommend and stay here again.

A relaxing experience

We stayed one night but were made to feel welcomed and were given an upgrade on arrival. The hotel was clean, quiet and the room was spacious. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was buffet style and met our needs. The hotel is within walking distance of the lake and close to the shops.

Nice hotel. Just wish the hotel had a fridge to keep water cool. Room did not have air conditioning, which might not be an issue if visiting in winter. I visited in Summer, when St Moritz was very hot & humid, and i was constantly sweating in the room.

It was a short walk uphill a steep hill from the train station. It was a lovely room with a brilliant view of the lake and mountains. Our hairdryer in the room didn’t fit the outlet but the concierge sorted it out really fast. Room service was great and the food was really nice. Breakfast had a fair variety and was constantly replenished so even though it didn’t look like a lot, everything was always fresh. Would definitely stay here again.

A 10 out of 10 for the front desk staff. Very polite and helpful. Free shuttle to and from the station. Had the information center at the station call them and the shuttle was there to pick us up in 5 minutes. Good location in center of town and good breakfast included. The room given to us was very spacious and had a balcony with a good view.Overall excellent.

The staff were incredible at Hotel Steffani, and the location doesn’t get better.

The problem with this hotel is that during our 5 night stay, they hosted massive parties 2 of the nights, that were so loud we could not sleep in our third floor room.

When we called down, it was clear there was nothing the staff could do, as they were apologetic but let us know it would continue until 1am. We received a drink voucher in the morning, and they went ahead and partied again the next night until 1am.

A drink voucher frankly felt like an insult when we were unable to sleep for two nights, which ruined our next two days on the slopes. Wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re looking for a good nights rest.

Having read all the other reviews, I was so excited to stay here with my daughter over Christmas but unfortunately our room although not a basic room had the view of the of a back street. The room was small and dark and smelt of stale smoke. Location was great but definitely would not return to this hotel.

Avoid restaurant unless they increase quality

The food in the restaurant was not very good quality. The rump steak was medium when i ordered a med/rare, it was a thin slice and served with what seemed like a frozen veg mix and not many fries. The service in the restaurant was not too good either. We ordered a pizza to the room the next night. Service at breakfast, bar and reception was all good.

Great choice in the heart of St Moritz

Excellent boutique hotel in the heart of St. Moritz. Steps away from the pedestrian zone lined with exclusive shops. Room was recently renovated with wood flooring and all of the necessary amenities. Breakfast was excellent, especially the omelet station was a nice touch. Spa/pool area looked recently renovated, though some of the other areas of hotel were original, but very well maintained.

Outstanding service - and they saved our butts!

We had one day and night in St Moritz before catching the Glacier Express, and so were looking for something cozy, nice and convenient, but not crazy expensive or over-the-top. We could not have been happier to have chosen Hotel Steffani.

The service, location, and comfort all exceeded our expectations. We visited the bar for drinks at night, and the breakfast room the next morning; both perfectly comfortable and cheery. The location is great, a great branching-off spot for food and drinks in all directions. We were able to walk to the hotel from the train station with no problem; ended up taking their free shuttle the next morning because we were feeling lazy, nice easy option.

We also had a stupid little crisis: After checking out, 30 minutes into our 8 hour train ride (and FAR past the point of no return), we realized to our horror we left our passports in the in-room safe! A quick call to the front desk, and Christina answered with a cheerful helpfulness: \"Where are you now? OK, where are you going and how long will you be there? OK, great, we will get posted over to your next hotel.\" 2 days later, we were reunited with our passports.

Would be very happy staying here again on all counts. Give 'em a shot!

Good location, average service

Location is excellent As lifts, restaurants, shops and bars are in walking distance. It’s not a fancy place but cozy and Swiss stylish.
I was disappointed by the no service in the nice pool area. No More towels at peak time, empty water bottles at Sauna and standing water on the floor all over the place.

The hotel has a nice combination of traditional antique furniture in the common areas but very modern facilities in the bedrooms. Nice combination. Very relaxing pool area with nice steam room and sauna. Hotel offers free pickup service from the train station, which is useful as it is uphill. Good breakfast.

I WAS DETAINED BY POLICE BECAUSE I COMPLAINED.

When I checked in I was disappointed.The listing stated lake-view room, separate seating area.There was not.After I called the front desk, the very kind clerk actually took the time to show me 3 different rooms and offered me the chance to move,which I did.The next day, the hotel manager herself called me,displeased about my posts on FB about the situation.She had issue with some of the content.I removed the one part she told me she had a problem with,but this still seemed to not be enough for her.Thinking perhaps this was a language gap issue,I asked my husband to call and speak with her,as he speaks German.He called me back,very concerned,because the manager threatened to invoke Swiss law against me since my post generated additional comments from some of my friends on social media who thought it was wrong I was being harassed by the hotel management.I left the hotel.Little did I know,it was about to get worse.Police detained me for interrogation at the train station and advised me that,while I was not under arrest,Swiss law meant that I could be held accountable for “damages” to the hotel’s business if it was proved that my post cause them to lose money.As an African-American, being detained by police was problematic, as I have a PTSD response in these situations.I thought that was part of the risk of having reviews. Some of them night not be so great. So now, I am waiting to see how much a Swiss judge is going to fine me for posting a review the manager didn't like.

Highlight of our 2 weeks Switzerland trip

Everything was perfect from the moment we reached the train station. Emails were replied promptly before we reached. Hotel Steffani takes good care of us from all aspect. Felt the warm welcome by the friendly receptionist lady who also gave up a complimentary upgrade of our room and it was amazing.

You cant go wrong with Hotel Steffani. Each room gets two bottles of free water (NICE!), breakfast with lots of options, including the famous yum yum air-dried beef (NICE!) and a shuttle service form the train station (NICE!).

Although there is a little trouble with the Wifi connection that took a while for the staff to figure it out, but it was manageable and not a negative experience.

Nice hotel.

This a very nice older hotel with an indoor pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a nice feel to it - felt like Switzerland. This shuttle to the train station was appreciated. We opened the window and could hear the nearby waterfalls - pretty cool.
