Beautiful hotel in the middle of St Moritz. Close to everything, except the train. Although they provide transportation to the train station, so that was wonderful! Staff was so nice and accommodating. They helped us with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The rooftop bar was a great place to reset and admire the view. Wonderful place to stay!

The staff were all super nice and immediately helped with all our requests and needs. The gratus pickup and transfer to the hotel was appreciated after a long travel day. We were upgraded to a spectacular room with the best lake and mountain views. The room was spotless, comfortable and nice extras. The spa facilities are unbelievable and relaxing. The location is perfect to walk and see the sights and the shops are plentiful. We thank all who helped us have a memorable stay.

Charming!

From the moment I got off the train with my shuttle pickup to my drop off back at the station, I was treated like family. I loved the welcome check-in with Prosecco, the sky bar with fantastic views and fabulous food, and the comfortable room. The hotel is next to the bus station for exploring around St. Moritz and a close walk down to the lake. I took advantage of the wonderful spa and relaxing massage, and my soaking tub each night. I’m glad I stayed 2 nights here for the peace. Thanks to the staff for looking after me so well!

Our stay was quite amazing! The hotel is lovely, and we had a beautiful family suite that we thoroughly enjoyed. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. However, they did forget to inform us about the travel card that you can purchase there for 10 francs as a refundable security deposit. It wasn't a big deal, but you may want to inquire about the card, as it would allow you to explore the city better by taking buses, trains, or other transportation options. The hotel's location in the city is fantastic, and the breakfast was very nice with a welcoming staff. I will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic staff and super comfortable beds

Staff are super friendly from the moment we arrived. Once we checked in, they took charge of everything - luggage, parked our car and gave us a welcome glass of champagne. They gave us the run down of what the hotel offers, including the spa, hot tub, fitness room and the Sky Bar….which of course we enjoyed that evening. We felt like we were at home, so much so we booked another night! Love this place.

Perfect location in the heart of St moritz, can't drive up to hotel if you have a car as it is in the pedestrian zone. Public parking very close around the corner. They have a shuttle to pick up from train station which is able to bring you to the door.
Wonderful friendly staff, and everyone got a welcome glass of prosecco.
Beautiful view from the top floor bar and hot tub/spa area.

Simply amazing stay

This place is amazing. The staff from the concierge to housekeeping and drivers who pick us up from the the train station on july 18-19. They are simply the best. You can’t go wrong with their breakfast. For the price it’s really worth it. Immediate access to shopping within steps from the hotel

Amazing place, not the most comfy beds

This hotel was amazing! From the friendly staff, amazing views, huge wine list, rooftop restaurant/bar, this place has it all! Very romantic! Only two suggestions were a bigger swim area/jacuzzi, and better pillows/mattresses as they were not comfy. All in all amazing!

Didn’t like the sheer curtains in the bathroom - I could see other people in their rooms so I’m sure they could see me too eg sitting on the toilet and getting in and out of the shower. Showered in the dark

We couldn't be happier with Hotel Monopol. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is beautiful! Conveniently located 1 block away from the Tram that takes you directly up Corviglia (One of the two Main Ski Mountains in St. Moritz). You can rent and store Ski's and Boots on the mountain in Corviglia, or walk a block from Art Boutique Hotel {AKA Hotel Monopol} and rent at Ender Sports). Monopol has a room to store your ski's and poles with boot warmers if you choose the latter.
The 6th Floor Sky bar is very comfortable, with great service, a wonderful menu and drinks and Views of the Alps that can't be beat. Our kids hung out in the 6th floor's Hot Tub (Same Views) while we snacked at the bar. There is also a small fitness room and a Spa (My wife had a wonderful massage) on the 6th Fl. The first floor has a lounge area you can relax in as well as an enclosed room for smoking Cigars (The smoke is vented directly outside and can't be smelled in the lounge area). There happens to be a Davidoff next door to Monopol!
The main resteraunt is open for Buffet breakfast (Excellent food and excellent service) as well as for Dinner (Also, excellent food and service). There is also a Kids place on the 1st floor with games for the kids.
I drove in from Milan and had some issues with my rental car and the staff went above and beyond arranging the fix while I ski'd. Awesome!!

My queries sent online before I arrived were promptly responded to by Christian, the front office manager, and Sarah, working in the front office. They arranged for complimentary pickup to and from the train station; so much so I don’t have to handle my luggage the moment I was picked up.

At check in, Christian offered me a welcome drink (a glass of Prosecco) and Sarah showed me the facilities of the hotel. The service was impeccable, so much so I didn’t want to head out after check in and stayed in to enjoy the spa and gourmet dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Love the comfortable bed and amazing pillows in the room, and of course, the fantastic location next to the lake with hiking trails, good restaurants, shops and galleries.

After I checked out, I discovered my train to the airport was cancelled and had to take an earlier train to make it in time to the Zurich airport. Instead of waiting for the hotel driver, Christian personally drove me to the train station so I will make it in time.

I was very well taken care of and felt so pampered that I highly recommend this to be your choice when you visit St. Moritz.

Property is an excellent location right in The Central square . Rooms were large with a proper bed for my daughter . Jr Suite was room we stayed in . Breakfast was good , fresh omelet . Negatives are if you hiring a car you should think about giving up the car . As the hotel is in a pedestrian zone . So they give u special access to come up to hotel and then take your car to park at a nearby parking lot . U don’t really see your car the whole trip as you get free passes for public transport . Housekeeping was quite terrible , didn’t change linen even on asking , floor was dirty post servicing . Room mini bar fridge was not working , excuses such as this to keep things fresh not cool , too many things inside . All excuses were not smart , it’s a mini bar fridge not a cooler box . Bar tender refused to give ice . Room service is 15 chf for ice . Bit strange . Give every room an ice pail and put a machine in the gym . Espresso 6 coffee capsules provided at beginning of stay . They are not refreshed throughout the stay . Need to pay to buy capsule . Makes no sense for a luxury hotel . Overall excellent room , excellent location , front office staff are very good . Would stay again . Little niggles need to be sorted

Excellent hotel. 2 mins walk to the ski lift. Reception amazing - all requests immediately satisfied - sauna, jacuzzi made available at request, breakfast good, restaurant good. I also got an upgrade to a larger room and a welcoming drink. Nothing to fault.

Was comparing Crystal and Monopol, there is none. Monopol is the clear choice if you wondering which one to stay at and you value a younger crowd, cleaner and modern hotel, design, better view, better service.

Could see the lake from my 5th floor room. Offered Prosecco when checked in, hot tub (dedicated hour per room during COVID) and sky bar is great (reserved for guests only during COVID so no one there).

Modern, fresh, clean, friendly, great view, bars and right on top of all the nice stores, what more can you ask for?

Excellent location, short walk from train station and 2 mins from funicular. Reception staff very welcoming and efficient. Had a meal in Mono restaurant on Saturday night which was nice, but service not fully on the ball. I had to ask twice for water at the beginning of the meal, and I asked for glass of red wine 10 mins before my steak arrived, but had to ask again when it didn’t arrive and only just got it as I finished the steak.

This hotel is a gem. The location is great, the staff is very kind and helpful, and the hotel is very nice with a great rooftop bar, pool, amazing view. The hotel rooms are large with plenty of closet space, lounging area and several windows. It's a boutique hotel so you feel very safe here.

Very centralise nearby train station (although preferably use their shuttle coz the hotel was located up hill (from train station) if you bringing big luggages it’s advisable take taxi or hotel shuttle. Also nearby restaurants and shopping paradise. And have beautiful view looking out the St Moritz lake. Walking distance also. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel did a very good job picking us up and dropping us off at the train station. Hotel is next to church but fortunately the bell doesn't ring after 8pm. I am very happy with breakfast staff. By night the breakfast room is an Italian restaurant so the Expresso were very good. Eggs to order are available. We received the turn down service on our first night and last. The train up the ski resort is about 5 min walk.

hotel rooms are good but the service level are way below than expected. We were promised and well communicated station pick up from station but the car didn’t turn up Until 30 min after arrival of glacier express and reason provided they assumed train arrives at 5.. expected them to be attentive as I was travelling with kids.. even the car which arrived had food packed behind so not sure if they don’t expect their passenger to bring luggage !!!

Room heating were not effective as cold air was seeping through windows... told everything is automatics and cannot do anything

There has only been one answer “sorry” without any attitude of making things correct or providing

Even when asked for suggestion to go around the reception had very few suggestion even in terms of eatery

Overall the experience has been bad considering we booked a “monopol” brand hotel ... if u want rooms good to stay but expect service stay away .... you will have better option in St Moritz

Great Base for St. Moritz

We stopped in St. Moritz off the Bernina for the Jazz Festival to see Hiromi and Edmar. We were able to walk to the Vampire club, stroll around town and across the street from the tram to the \"Top of the World\". Front desk was very helpful and the restaurant was both delicious and well run.

Fantastic Service

The service provided at this hotel is the best I have ever experienced. The staff was incredibly attentive and responsive. Any time I return to Saint Moritz, I will try to stay here. The hotel restaurant was also excellent. One of the few places where both my kids ate their whole meal. The room itself is a nice luxury room with a decent amount of space and in a good location to transportation and food, as well as a good chocolate shop.

Great location, room, service but noisy

Booking was a breeze. Paid before arrival, nonrefundable upon cancellation.
Located 20mins walk from train station. Pick up service by hotel during day time was only 5 mins away. Needs to walk 150m & uphill to funicular train base station everyday. Located just in town centre with much shopping of luxury branded goods. A small Co-op supermarket 100m away. But very noisy during the day from a church just located next to property - incessant chiming every half hour from 7am. Very noisy from pedestrians walking by the alley esp after midnight and into wee hours of morning. Strangely this is the first hotel that provides ear plugs as a standard amenity.

Reception & restaurant service was fantastic. Helpful, friendly & professional staff.

Room is spacious, clean, modern & new. Bed was very comfortable & luxurious. Small TV.

Piece of cake & 2 bottles of water as welcome refreshment. Delicious chocolate cake.

Turndown service in evening was very efficient & thorough. Left with 2 bite-sized Tolberones each night by the pillows.

Ski room in basement. Communal. No lockable cupboards for the room.

Breakfast in basement restaurant is smallish. Few choices. But comes with egg station and great staff.

Wish the pillows were harder and not flat, wish there is a humidifier, kettle, coffee & tea service in the room. No ironing in room for fear of fire.

Passing through St. Moritz

Good hotel in the center. Very clean and well kept. Beds were okay though. Good thing is that you can walk everywhere from the hotel. Staff were super nice and accommodating. There is no AC as with most hotels in St. Moritz. Fitness facilities are sort of a joke in a small facility.
