Every room here has an ocean view. The entire staff is amazing. Theu will do anything for you to make your stay as stressfree as possible for you. You cannot beat the beach this resort is sitting on. If you want a laid back peaceful place to stay, look no further!

Very clean and nice staff. Doesn’t offer much, it’s really just a beach no pool or walkable areas besides the beach and nothing to do as far as activities go. No restaurants either or seating areas besides the room you book. Next door to DJ Leon’s so it also gets loud to feel like your bed is in the center of a concert from 9pm-1am if hes playing so definitely not a good option if you want to get some sleep in. Grounds are well maintained and staff is very accommodating and clean. Beach is 2 feet away from you, you’re literally on it and towels are provided which is nice. No beachside service though

We were fortunate enough to meet some of them at the manager’s reception our first night here. Everyone went out of their way for us and were so friendly! So sad to leave and anxious to return. This property is conveniently located on a great beach close to nice restaurants. It is an older property but well maintained. Our room had no view. It was very difficult to operate the sliding glass door and the AC only works if the doors are closed. Carimar has an assigned beach chair system that was irritating, particularly since we were assigned seats about as far from our condo as possible. The office staff seemed much less friendly than most Anguillans we have met in our repeated visits to the island.

Property well maintained. Sliding door was super sticky and hard to move - maintenance person tried to fix it but couldn't. Staff was very helpful. Brought us fresh coconuts :-) Beach chairs were okay, but sloping down on beach so not very comfortable for long stays. Attractive but pricey
I agree with the reports that describe how attractive Carimar is. The villa is itself is fine and the beach is absolutely beautiful.
However, $830 (including taxes) is too high even in the peak season for what you get. For this price, I would have expected at least a minimum supply of a starter package of essential foods and being picked up at the airport .

Cindy and both Laverne's were awesome. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The hotel has snorkels, fins and other water toys available as well as chairs, umbrellas and beach towels. They are sweet and helpful if you want to get a taxi or recommendations for local activities.

We spent 7 nights at Carimar and fell in love with Meads Bay! The hotel is perfectly situated along a mile wide beach with luxury resorts within walking distance for fine dining and cocktails. 4-5 other restaurants are within walking distance as well as a grocery store. Housekeeping was great. The front desk helped us with reservations and recommendations daily. We used the free bikes to explore a bit, but the roads are not the best and there are no sidewalks. Most frequent visitors rent a car. The taxi rides were pretty much a minimum of $20. Also, we used the new gym- it had all we needed: 3 pieces of cardio, free weights, and an all-in-one resistance machine. Overall, the sand and water are beautiful! No crowded beaches or loud groups. This hotel is ideal for a peaceful week of laying on the beach!!

The rooms are lovely, very spacious and everything you need to be able to relax at home, cook a meal, enjoy the patio, etc. The grounds are just beautiful with all kinds of tropical flowers surrounding each villa. The location is also great, located within walking distance of several really nice restaurants. The only negatives for me was that the bathroom was dated, (scheduled to be upgraded this year), and the lack of a swimming pool, they have tennis courts where a pool would have been a great thing to have. This is our 2nd time and would definitely return.

My daughter and I had an ocean view apartment on the ground level, it was soooo beautiful to go out on the patio every morning with our coffee and feed whatever birds were hanging out nearby. Very spacious apartment style accommodation with a full kitchen. Dated bathroom but fantastic location. Clean, bright, airy and with everything you need for an island escape. Carimar is located on fabulous Mead’s Bay Beach, and has an old world, Cape Cod feel. The property is conveniently located to some great restaurants, and provides condo-type living with a full kitchen and living area, as well as outdoor patio. As advertised, only the bedroom has air conditioning, and the beds & pillows in the unit that we stayed in were not very comfortable, and squeaked whenever you moved. Great for those seeking budget prices and luxury location. Staff was excellent, and the property is very well maintained. There is no pool, but there are 2 tennis courts on property, and plenty of chairs and umbrellas on the beach to enjoy.

Met people who have been coming to this resort for 20 years....hidden gem...located within walking distance to very good restaurants...staff is very attentive ,,..always plenty of beach chairs available...meads bay is beautiful beach....grocery store is very close to resort..rented car right at resort...each unit has 2 bedrooms. If only want 1 bedroom, they lock door for 2nd bedroom. Unit was thoroughly cleaned every day.

Wonderful property
First time on Anguilla and wished we stayed longer! The beach has crystal clear waters and the sand is powdery and white. Property was well maintained and the room was very spacious with a well stocked kitchen and living/bedroom areas. Only draw back is air conditioning is not in any of the rooms except the bedroom. We did not have a car but there are bikes available. We rode to Maunday Bay and the grocery store.

We had stayed at the Viceroy previously which is a beautiful place but at a much higher expense. The beach at the Carimar is much better and probably one of the best on Anguilla. The tour boats would come to our beach to park and drop swimmers and snorkelers. The place is insanely quiet and the beach reminded us of the ones used in the Corona commericals. There is an offshore wind so the water is calm and clear. The hotel suites are set up like like a casita with large living area and outside patio. Note that AC only works in the bedroom, but it's no big deal as there are plenty of ceiling fans to keep it cool. Service was great from the staff and there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance. If you want lots of people and noise, stay elsewhere. The Carimar is incredibly quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. We loved it!

My husband and I were thrilled to arrive at the Carmar Beach Resort and see the gorgeous beach right out front! Meads Bay has unbelievable clean white sand and crystal clear blue water. Our suite was very clean and they even left us a bottle of rum on the table. The front porch overlooked the ocean and was a very relaxing place to sit. There was free snorkeling and tennis equipment as well. Wonderful (although a little expensive) restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended!

Liked staying here. Awesome and friendly staff. The only thing I didn't like was the use of the fans in common. At times it was very hot and the fans did not offer much relief..not sure if the AC unit needs cleaning but I ended up with a bad sore throat during and after my visit.

We rented a two bedroom condo at the Carimar and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our unit had been very well maintained and was spotless. The kitchen was well supplied with all the necessities to be able to cook your own meals and there was a large grocery store close by . There were excellent restaurants in the vicinity as well. The grounds of the Carimar were very beautiful and well maintained . The front desk staff were very attentive to our needs , making sure that we were given a personal tour of our condo .They were helpful in making reservations and even taking the initiative to call and ask if we required a taxi for our departure. I was really impressed by them notifying me shortly sfter I left that we had forgotten some articles of clothing in a drawer. I felt the staff went above and beyond to make out stay a memorable one . We will most certainly be making a return visit to the Carimar !

This well maintained hotel was on clean beaches. There were a few plastic spoons, straws strewn about the beach. It was cleaner than the beach at the hotel in st. Martin. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would stay at this hotel again

The Carimar is a very nice place to be in Anguilla. Set on an amazing stretch of beach, it's hard to call it a hotel \"room\" as they are 1100 sq. feet. Extremely clean and well kept. Fully equipped kitchen. Dining/living room lead out to a great balcony. Lots of storage space for all your stuff. All the furnishings were comfortable. The bed gave me a good night sleep from a day on the beach or exploring the island. It really is as nice as you see it in pictures. There was always a breeze going through and the ceiling fans moved a lot of air which was good as only the bedrooms are air conditioned. It was my first time on the island. The ladies in the office had all the answers and were just great! The grounds leading to the beach are just as well kept as the rooms. Just beautiful! Everyone at the Carimar had a genuine friendliness about them. Although there are a couple of restaurants close by, you do need a car to get around. Driving on the left isn't a big deal. Was my first time doing that too.Traffic is a lot lighter than on other islands I've been to. I would have no problem returning to Anguilla and The Carimar!

Cariama is located on the best beach in Anguilla, Meads Bay. The room, the outside deck, the ocean view, was just fantastic. And the walk to the beach was short and fast. Loved having umbrellas and chairs waiting at the beach. Can't say enough great things about this hotal. And it was walking distance to same great places to eat, Blanchards, the straw hat, Jacala, ocean Echo. We rented a car to tour the island and while the other beaches were very nice, Meads Bay was my favorite as was Carimar Beach! I would stay here again when we go back.
