Very good location. Good access to restaurants for dinner and beach bars for lunch. Breakfast was fine.

Rooms are clean. Water is not drinkable and sometimes smells. Property is very strict, only 1 espresso pod per person per night. Only one beach towel and it needs to be exchanged via towel card. Also no outside food or drinks on the beach chairs.

The ocean view rooms, ocean view is marjinal.

My wife and I have travelled a great deal. We spent 6 days at La Playa - I am not sure they could have been any better. From easy, friendly check-in, amazing beach with lots of chairs and umbrellas, a FANTASTIC breakfast, and a great bar/wonderful lunch choices...and right next door to amazing restaurants and a grocery store. This place is a 10. Katy runs an amazing property and we can't wait to go back.

The hotel location is excellent to walk everywhere - beach, restaurants, shops. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable, especially Elena. The room was spacious, clean and had everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation. The breakfast is improved from last year and has more options to choose from. I’m writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with how my room request was handled during my recent stay. I requested a higher-floor room in early September, but I was assigned a first-floor room instead. When I raised this at check-in, I was told the team was “busy” and nothing could be done.
This is not acceptable, especially given the advance notice provided. As a result, I will not be returning.

The rooms are clean and the beach is decent. I think they take the beach every few days but there tends to be a lot of seaweed build up. Our main issue was the breakfast. They say it goes until 10am but all days we were there they ran out of things like pancakes at 8:30am and said they would not make more. How can you offer breakfast until 10am and not make more food, especially when guests ask for it. The restaurant is also okay for lunch (the beach restaurant next door has a much better and more diverse menu). Overall okay and a bit overpriced for what we paid to stay there.

For those looking for a good beach I recommend Grand Case location.
Hotel staff was friendly . Due to flight situations (Venezuela) hotel did not credit or reimburse for the day late check in and told me to speak with Expedia.
Called Expedia they told me deal with hotel . Run around. The manger could have been accommodated and at least give me credit to use for an extra occupancy t ( 2 night) not nice . The manger seemed nice but was not accommodating to our situation. Was not right and felt unfair. I would not recommend .

I had a pleasant stay at this resort, which offers a lot of convenience and comfort. The location is excellent, with many dining options within walking distance, and the included breakfast was consistently good. My room was very nice, stylish, and comfortable, which added a lot to the overall experience. The staff throughout the property were always helpful and available whenever needed.

Beach towels were provided and exchanged daily, which made beach days easy. The beach itself was somewhat busy, but I never had trouble finding a set of chairs and an umbrella. The beach staff were especially attentive—they were quick to help with finding loungers, adjusting umbrellas, and taking food or drink orders. While the sand was good, the water had significantly more sea grass than what I experienced in Anguilla, which was a bit disappointing. The waves were also rougher than I prefer. Staff mentioned that beach toys were available for kids, but when I arrived at the beach, I was told they didn’t have any this season.

The resort has a more commercial feel compared to other Caribbean beach stays I’ve had, but the service remained consistently strong. The staff also helped arrange a taxi to the ferry terminal, which made departure smooth.

Overall, I would recommend staying here—the resort is nice, the service is reliable, and the location is convenient. That said, I probably wouldn’t return to this particular island myself, mainly because the water conditions weren’t quite what I was

Katy the hotel manager introduced herself to us and welcomed us to the island. Benedict helped us when we lost our key wrist for our room.
Honestly,everyone we encountered at the hotel was caring and professional. They made our vacation so easy and enjoyable.
The property is well maintained. Our room was cleaned everyday. We felt safe at night walking on the beach and through the hotel.

The property was very clean and nice. The proximity to the village restaurants in the evening was wonderful. We tried many and had zero poor experiences. The food was fantastic. The sushi at the property was better than sushi at the local restaurant. Drink service on the beach was prompt. The front desk for excursions was top notch. Bring more cash than you need. No atms near by and tips along with cabs are all cash.

The resort was beautiful. A bit small but definitely felt like home. The staff at both the reception desk and the restaurant were friendly, courteous and always willing to provide assistance at the resort and for our activities. Having breakfast on the beach every morning was a delight. The ability to walk across to nearby restaurants was also great.

Only small downside was the amount of sargassum on the beach daily but the hotel did a great job of trying to clean up so guests could enjoy the beach. All in all a great experience and choice for our honeymoon.

THE BEACH IS COVERED WITH SEAWEED AND YOU CANNOT GO IN THE WATER. THE TOWELS IN YOUR ROOM ARE SCARCE AND ARE NOT CHANGED DAILY, BEACH TOWELS AND ROOM TOWELS ARE STIFF AND SCRATCHY, BUFFET BREAKFAST IS OUTDOORS AND IS ALWAYS COLD, PIGEONS LAND ON THE FOOD AND TABLES, THE ISLAND PEOPLE ARE THE BEST PART OF GOING!!! THIS ISLAND TOOK A VERY BAD HIT FROM LAST HURRICAINE AND HAS NOT RECOVERED ALMOST AT ALL.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Playa Orient Bay! It was myself, my husband, and our 2-year-old son. The staff were fantastic—friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. We loved the breakfast buffet, and the pool was large, clean, and perfect for relaxing, especially with a toddler.

Unfortunately, during our visit, Orient Bay was quite windy and wavy, with a fair amount of sargassum, so we really appreciated having access to such a great pool. The location is excellent—just around the corner from the charming Orient Bay village, with lots of great restaurants within walking distance. There's also a convenient supermarket nearby.

The staff here are amazing, even the manager. Everyone was so helpful and polite. The property was also pristine and smelled so nice.Being here felt like home even if it Was our first time at Saint Martin. Lovely property right on the beach. Rooms are large & have a great kitchenette & refrigerator. Bar & dining are excellent. Great buffet breakfast with many options including eggs, pancakes etc. You have chairs & towels provided & there is drink service to the beach.

The area near by has a grocery & several dining options. What would be nice in thè area is maybe a little more shopping options & maybe a bar/lounge for the evening other than Bikini Beach or the irish pub.

Driving to Phiilipsburg or Marigot is not for the faint of heart.

The beach area is clean & well kept, however in June it did suffer from seaweed as did most of the islands in the Carribean. The hotels etc do what they can but it is mother nature.

The hotel was very nice. Room was spacious and clean but there is barely a view of the ocean because of how the buildings are situated. The food was decent, it was the same breakfast every day. Staff was lovely and helpful and there are plenty of dining options behind the property. Beach was nice but unfortunately there was a lot of seaweed the week we were there so we went to other beaches instead-not the hotels fault.
